We attended on a Saturday evening. Food was very good, & service was good also, would definitely recommend Avenue Tennis to friends.

We booked a special birthday lunch well in advance for over 30 people, so inevitably there were some changes to numbers, orders and arrangements over time, with a few at the very last minute. Obviously, it was very important for it to be an occasion to remember, so I regularly kept in touch with Paige, who was liaising with us. Although there were several alterations and rearrangements that I had to email about, Paige always responded quickly and made sure that everything was done to our satisfaction, including on the day itself. When we saw her in person, we were always greeted with a smile and willingness to offer solutions to anything we were unsure of. As a result, everyone enjoyed the experience and we received a lot of positive comments from our guests about the food and atmosphere. I would like to thank Paige and her team for helping to make the event such a success.

I love coming to the club, it's a big part of my life now. The people and instructors are lovely and down to earth, I think it's what makes it. The outside and seating area is great in the summer. Love it!

Its not just for members! I only found out last week so had to tey out the food as everyone tells me its excellent. The meal was superb... local suppliers, cooked fresh was the story and it delivered in every way... I had the special Marry Me Chicken, Emma had a steak snd the kids ate for free ! Chicken goujons , home made! And fajitas. The service was excellent and sitting in the glass covered area we had a great view ofnthe tennis courts. Roof was open , sun was shining,

Booked Avenue Tennis for my baby shower and the staff were nothing short of amazing! Made us feel super welcome and were so attentive to us! We had such a great time, it wasnt just the service that was amazing but the food was great too! Really appreciate you all for accommodating us! We tried their new lunchtime menu and it was lovely tasting. We trained her first, then decided to make the most of a lovely sunny day and had lunch here. Everything tasted well, was clearly made fresh. The staff were very friendly and we had good banter during our time there.

Had Sunday lunch there recently . Food was fabulous and the staff were attentive without being overbearing. I'd recommend this place. Lovely.

The staff were so friendly and welcoming, they went above and beyond in making me comfortable and that my needs were met. Little touches like moving the canopy to make sure the sun didn't get in our eyes. Food was fabulous, I had the lamb roast. All in all, a lovely experience. Thank you.

Staff are incredibly friendly and the PT's are great, a great variety of classes, the club is clean and tidy and is just a very positive atmosphere.

The staff (reception, bar, restaurant and coaches) are all very friendly and helpful. The sports facilities are good and the spa facilities are A1 - calm space, clean, relaxing. Restaurant food is top notch - tasty, hot, well presented. Service is quick and efficient.

Great tennis courts, nice restaurant, very nice health suite and good tennis coaches. Friendly club with lots of people who love tennis.

Visited for brunch, staff were polite and welcoming and the food (and coffee!) were great. Looking forward to visiting again!

Amazing facilities and exceedingly nice staff.

Last Saturday evening we dined in the restaurant. Service was prompt and the food was excellent. My husband had the seabass which he said was the best he had ever tasted. I had the stuffed chicken breast. The portions were very generous. We were served by Henry, who although his badge said he was a trainee was so attentive and polite regularly checking with us that we were happy with our food. We had a voucher which family had bought us and will definitely suggest that as a present option again.

Very nice place, clean and modern. We were on kids tennis tournament. Great organisation of event. I was pleased to find a very nice restaurant there with great food and service. Hope to visit more events there.

Would have been a 10 as the club is fantastic- when you can book a court. The focus needs to go back to the adult members and away from the needs of the children. Let's remember who actually pays for the courts. Why do children use the courts at prime time after 6pm- when they are not allowed in the gym after 6pm. I have raised this comment on numerous occasions and never received a response.

The best gym with excellent cleanliness, friendly staff and an amazing atmosphere!

The lady that showed me around was lovely and answered all my questions. I have a hearing problem which means I lip read a lot and don't make eye contact and she spoke at just the right speed for me and was very patient. She was very knowledgeable about everything and she was really welcoming which made me feel I was already part of the club.

Friendly, helpful staff on Reception and the gym floor. Clean, modern facilities and no area is ever overcrowded.

Our son started tennis and he LOVES IT and then mum and dad became members. I would recommend : 100% instructors and facilities 100% restaurant for care and quality of food 100% how clean facilities are 100% friendliness of staff There is only one problem :) they are so successful that they need more coaches to have more lessons!!! Avenue Tennis is a fantastic club with excellent gym and tennis facilities. The place is very clean and always has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are helpful and always around to offer advice and guidance. I would definitely recommend this club to anyone looking to join a new gym or wanting to start playing tennis.

There has been a massive improvement I think at Avenue Tennis restaurant . Being a member means that if I am not pleased with the service or food I tend to report it ( I have in the past) so when I say the improvement is there it is. I’m pleased for the kitchen and the staff because at some stage they have upped their game and I’m not sure where that came from but it’s evident from the service and quality of the food . I’ve had evening meals and breakfasts there and it’s on point . I would recommend the restaurant to anybody who wants a fresh tasty meal with good parking facilities and a light ambiance setting to a dining experience which is flavoursome and enjoyable.

I’ve just had my second lunch in the restaurant and was unhappy with the food on both occasions. The large salad was mostly watercress and the chicken breast was so chewy I couldn’t eat it. Although the kind waiter asked if everything was OK, I didn’t want to spoil the time with my lovely friends. I also felt it was a little expensive considering the quality of the food.

Food was ok but service was the slowest we have ever experienced. We were recommended to try it by friends who have had breakfasts and lunches during the week. Had to wait half an hour for drinks and then 20 minutes more to order food. Table was booked for half 3 but we were 10 minutes early as one of us was very hungry. Roast dinners arrived an hour from when we sat down, potatoes and broccoli were quite hard, meat was nice, biggest lamb shank I’ve ever had to be fair. Plates took an age to be cleared from the table. Wasn’t going to order a dessert because we wondered how long it would take but we did and it took ages. Sticky toffee pudding was lovely, ice cream was beautiful but the chocolate torte was laughable, it was so tiny and on a massive plate, I asked the waiter where the rest of it was and we were crying laughing at the table. Got to our table at 15.20 and left at 17.00 after having two courses and one drink each. It’s not a surprise it’s not busy and in all honesty it’s a shame that the service was so bad because it meant we scrutinised every part of the meal. Won’t be going back.

Just completed our 6 weekly review with Sarah. Not good after lockdown, but excellent advice and a new routine to deal with the problem areas! Restarted the "Senior Conditioning" class which is excellent. Fantastic gym and brilliant trainers. Special mention for Sarah and David who genuinely care for the fitness and welfare of the gym members. Can definitely recommend the Avenue Tennis gym for people of all levels of fitness 😁

No dogs allowed in the outdoor area which is not very pleasant anyway. Only reason we ended up here is it was the only place to serve breakfast in the area that had outdoor space so we assumed dogs were allowed. It didn't seem like a very nice area to sit in, so if we didn't have a dog we wouldn't have booked here.

This place does lovely breakfasts I've been a few times and it's always nice, the staff are polite and its clean and smart looking. Glasses shining and cutlery nice and clean. A nice little restaurant for the price, nothing to extravagant on the menu just simple food done well. As it's outdoor dinning at the moment you can sit under cover and if lucky enough under the heaters, also there was blankets on offer the other morning when I had breakfast early at 9

The team are welcoming and David who works in the gym is beyond helpful!

From a Sunday Roast, midweek special or a jacket potato, the food and service is always exceptional and consistent.

We have now dined here twice on their steak nights and both times were superb!The steak is cooked to perfection, accompanied with delicious chips, mushrooms, tomatoes and watercress. What makes the evening though are the staff. Emma, Ben and Jordan are excellent, very professional, friendly and helpful.All being well, we hope to see you in the not too distant future.

It was our first time here, so wasn't sure what to expect. The cooked breakfast was delicious and plenty of it. The service was great and the tables nicely spaced out. Really nice atmosphere too. Good choice on the menu for all meals and there is a licensed bar there too if you want to watch the tennis with a G&T. Very good first impression, we will definitely return.

Twice I have eaten at the avenue tennis and both times the food has been amazing!! We will be making this a regular of ours to eat out at. Staff are friendly and helpful

Good covid management. Friendly staff , nice coffee and good menu. Eady to park. Recommend as a place to meet mates in an informal setting. Need to pre book even for coffee.

Not a great atmosphere, items are over priced and we were generally not impressed as this place was recommended so felt disappointed

The main was good but the chocolate and orange dessert was amazing! Jordan was fantastic, great service all night and was very friendly.

A lovely lunch for a family girlie catchup for grandma’s birthday with a teenager and a wannabe tweenager 9 yr old. Fast, polite, masked service. Socially distanced table. Light and airy. The fajitas and nachos were a hit with the kids! A perfect lunch!

We greatly enjoyed our lunch there today. The menu was extensive and varied and we were spoiled for choice. The food was excellent and the friendly and extremely helpful staff really made this a special afternoon.The venue maintains a very high level of Covid-19 safety protocols for both staff and visitors including NHS QR and track and trace. Staff and visitors were wearing face coverings and maintaining social distancing. We very much look forward to our next visit.

Have used the restaurant facility on many occasions and the food and service have always been excellent. Would thoroughly recommend for couples and families and always feel safe with their COVID secure procedures.

We came here for a birthday breakfast and I have to say it was lovely. The staff member who served us was attentive and polite. The restaurant was exceptionally clean and tidy. We will definitely be back.

i like the décor especially the wall tiles, the seating is very comfortable the bar is well stocked, but not enough draught beers.The menu is not very extensive though . Staff are well presented and very friendly, covid procedures are well managed I would visit again.

Three of us had Sunday lunch here last week, the food and service, equally excellent!The covid safety measures are definitely in place and taken seriously which I was very happy about. Sanitiser on entering the building, masks to be worn until sat at the table, the tables had lots of space between them, no overcrowding or seats being moved and all the staff wore masks. We had plenty of space around us at our table and looking round the diners were all distanced well. We had starters of deep fried brie in red current sauce and my son had the scallops. I tried both and they were both delicious. We all had the roast for main course of lamb which was superb, plenty of everything and presented beautifully, everything cooked to perfection, topped off with a huge home made yorksire pudding to be proud of. The service was very attentive and we were well looked after. The restaurant itself is decorated beautifully, elegant and modern, you wouldn’t know you were in a sports club.The wine list was the only let down for me but that’s personal, the cheaper wines are really not good at nearly £17, the mid range is limited especially if you aren’t a Sauvignon fan but they have a good selection of expensive wines but makes a Sunday lunch very expensive.Overall we had a superb Sunday lunch, felt completely covid safe and enjoyed the ambiance. Compliments to a very good chef and attentive staff. We will be returning very soon!

At the comment on 24 Sept, Big Groups Sitting Together. May I confirm as one of the group that we were split up by the manager as we always are. As members we expect this and understand the stringent rules around masks and distancing that are applied without exception. The group was split into 2 as our coaching group would have been up to 10. The perception may have been that we were linked without a gap on 2 tables as some of the chairs became spread out. Apologies for any alarm.

Love this place and the restaurant is a hidden gem in the area. Great choice of menus, food always beautifully presented and tasty with a well stocked bar to accompany! We have visited for brunch, lunch, dinner and special nights; always a pleasant atmosphere, staff attentive and polite, and currently feels very safe with rules being adhered too and hygiene a priority. Love introducing friends to this venue and seeing their reaction as it always gives more than expected being a sports venue. Would highly recommend

went to the steak night last night. Usually the last Friday of the month. Couldn't praise the restaurant team enough, amazing steak (recommend the tomahawk) all the sides & sauces are freshly made and were delicious. Service was brilliant and polite. Overall a great night out. A true hidden gem in medway. Looking forward to going back and trying their ala carte menu.

Met with friends for a lunch date, the staff we’re extremely welcoming and friendly! Felt very safe with all the guidelines in place. Table service was prompt and nothing was to much trouble. The food was delicious, looking forward to our next visit.

I was here having brunch with a friend in the conservatory area on a Sunday morning. A large group of people (16 people) had clearly just finished an exercise class and sat down in the restaurant pulling 3 tables close together to sit as a group, right next to us. They were clearly regulars as staff were very friendly with them and they were served by staff and management without anyone mentioning they’re waaaaay over their group of 6 limit?! We paid and left. Food was nice though.

We’ve been to Avenue Tennis several times but have never been for the specials. Until tonight. For starters we picked the chicken terrine and the pigs cheeks. Both were delicious. The pigs cheeks were soft and just fell apart in the mouth. The cauliflower purée was gorgeous (I don’t like cauliflower!) and the amount of it was generous. The chicken terrine was just as nice but the star on that dish was the sweetcorn purée. I’ve never had it before so had no expectations but it was so smooth and complimented the rest of the dish amazingly well. Bottle it and sell it! For mains we opted for the breaded hake and the monkfish. Both of the fish were cooked to perfection and the other elements on both dishes just worked so well. The roast chicken butter sauce on the monkfish dish is well worth a mention. It was rich but didn’t take anything away from the monkfish. And the samphire with the hake was so tasty. Desert was a plum and apple crumble and it was really nice but I felt that the starters and mains were on another level to desert. The service was brilliant. All of the staff were attentive and lovely but Kerry seemed to be going the extra mile but not just for us. It was for every single table. In terms of COVID-19 it is as safe as it can possibly be. There’s a good distance between the tables. All staff were wearing masks and everything appeared to be super clean. Overall we had a great night out. It is slightly on the higher price of a meal out in Medway but you’re definitely getting what you pay for in terms of quality of the food and service. Massive thanks to everyone at Avenue Tennis. We look forward to coming back. If you made it this far congratulations... but also, go for the Sunday roast. That’s well worth the trip too!

Came for lunch with a friend, table booked we arrived for noon, sign telling you to book in outside main entrance. Went to reception told just to go through. Sitting at a table outside we were given menus and then we waited, over twenty minutes later after flagging a waitress down we ordered this was 12.20 and again we waited at 1pm we went into the bar and asked how much longer the food would be, when it finally arrived it was nice, well cooked and hot. Whilst we were waiting I became aware customers came and left but no tables were wiped after they were cleared I would of thought this was necessary in normal circumstances but at this time during Covid. On paying finally at the bar I asked about track and trace and told ‘you can scan over there if you want to’ seriously I was appalled. The 3 stars are for the easy parking and well cooked food but we will not be returning.

Returned Sunday gone (1400) after having a great roast the Sunday before expecting the same but it wasn’t.Can’t fault the service and safety. However food:The cocktail very simple but over priced.The roast parsnip was large and not crispyThe roast potatoes were a big let down, they were tough.I would advise to go for an early or late sitting so the potatoes haven’t been sitting there for a long time!

A lovely clean restaurant with friendly staff. We all enjoyed a delicious lunch, which we booked on line very easily. Great choice and gluten free options too, a bonus !
