What a fantastic place. Great decor and atmosphere, you are made to feel truly welcome, like a member of the family, not a customer. The staff are really friendly with huge smiles and personality. The food is amazing, can’t see anywhere else in the area that could be as good as these guys. Thank you very much

Food is always good and hot. We were the only ones in there this time around.

Ordered special Melz’s sandwich is really abundant for the ratio/price and very good. Sweet drinks in my opinion are a little too sweet

Great food, I'm going to put it out there one of the best breakfasts in Medway, clean tidy great atmosphere, great service. With the added bonus of the in house baked cakes and baklava is one of the best I've eaten outside of being in turkey Highly recommend

I was so hungry when I arrived at melz kitchen and chose to have the triple bacon burger. I thought it would just be 3 patties bashed together BUT when I recieved this mountain of a burger that was bigger than my hand. The freshness of the burger was out this world. Halfway through the burger I was full. The juicy burgers with cheese just melted in my mouth. I finished the meal with baklava and ice cream. I can Honestly say I have never tasted something so incredibly outstanding then I have this pudding the juicy flakey but crisp baklava with pistachio pieces was out of this world. I even took a portion home for later. The interior was clean and had a lovely smell of fresh cooked products. I would definitely recommend this establishment for a quick pit stop or a family meal. The owners were polite and welcoming. Would definitely come again. Child friendly too which was a bonus

All the character of a greasy spoon cafe but with modern decor. Sat in and had a full English breakfast that was cooked to perfection. On the way out, couldn't resist the chocolate fudge cake (generous slices). A great start to the day...

On the whole it's a clean nice place to eat,staff polite and helpful,plenty seating available when I visited. Food was tasty,but sadly prices were a bit steep,in my opinion

I don't normally write reviews but I had to. My son and I went to this café for a birthday treat the moment we entered we was warmly greeted, seated and our order was taken. I am a fussy eater but the food was cooked exactly how I requested it to be cooked. It was hot and fresh and the portion size was huge. We was waited on and the service was out of this world. Highly recommended and it it will be recommended to family and friends. Very warm and friendly establishment.

Freshly made with a smile. The food is beautifully cooked, the staff are very friendly. I tried two breakfasts including the special with avocado. Poached egg made to look like fried egg, made me laugh. All felt fresh, no excessive oil, beautifully presented. Good portion size, too. Tea and coffee are lovely. Made to feel very welcome Will be coming back again.

Stopped off at Mel’z Kitchen on Thursday, coffee and Carrot cake to die for, a lovely welcome from the staff comfortable and spotless. Mel makes all the cakes on site. Will definitely have a re-visit.

Wonderful food, Great friendly staff and good house keeping with the cleaning of tables. Just what was needed after a 3.5 hour trip on the coach for the footy. Highly recommended.

I wrote a review and for some reason It didn't post with comment so - There is plenty of variety for vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten diet which is always good I.e there was a Mediterranean breakfast in with the cooked breakfasts which sounded amazing when read from menu which you don't see very often The coffee i had with my bfast was well worth it! I love a coffee with bfast, some places use the overly strong bitter coffee you get in a huge tim from whole sales n not very great The cafe inside was really clean and well presented, which puts your mind at ease about eating in new places not cramped on space but open and airy, Not too close to other tables that people squeeze past when your eating cause that's just never nice is it. As for the actual food - I ordered a cooked breakfast which had many variations to choose from, **It was good to see that you didn't need to choose between tomatoes (grilled) and baked beans.** For some reason many cafes make you pick between the 2 but will yet serve with chips which i don't get at all !! - But no MELS KITCHEN served a proper English breakfast as it has always supposed to be lol with Beans + Tomatoes.. Again the food was clean, not greasy at all (and left no puddles of grease on plate after eating either, Especially after having Hash browns) The sausages were of good quality - I'm really fussy with sausages at home and need to be like 94% sausage meat inside - Greg's sausage rolls used to be like 34% and it gave me nightmares over sausages but no they were nice enough and could taste the subtlty of flavours. Everything i had on my plate was of good quality and standard. I'm not sure if they do things like breakfast wraps and bottomless teas/coffees but they had a good selection of meals served on good sized plates and great staff so cnt complain, Was a nice treat

Lovely as always our match day ritual

I had some time before a meeting and drove around spotting this place by random, hoping to get a quick breakfast. What I got was much nicer than expected. I had "Mel'z breakfast" and it was all brilliant. Eggs were poached perfectly, hash browns were crispy and it all tasted great. Really recommend this place with a great looking menu. I will definitely go back with or without a meeting.

Visited today with some friends and our children. I can't recommend Melz Kitchen enough! Amazing food and such friendly staff! We will definitely be back! 😊

This place was just a convenient restaurant to grab a very nice coffee for me at first. Years later this has become my main source of food! The food is always fresh and bistro quality. The food is cooked fresh and not reheated like some places do. The staff are amazing and always go out their way to create a lovely atmosphere even if you’re dining alone. Most customers come just to see them several times a week! It’s a really lovely place for a meet up with a good meal at a very fair price. It can get busy at times but let’s be honest that just shows how nice the place is! Feels like you’ve stepped out of Medway for a little while when you’re in there.

Perfect family run cafe with great food

I waited 30 mins for a small breakfast - there was only 5 people in front of me who all had the basic menu. To add to this frustration people who arrived 10 and 15 mins after me got their food at the same time as me. When I complained the staff turned really nasty - a simple apology would have sufficed but they chose to be aggressive towards me, something I cannot accept from a customer service function. Shame really from their aspect - a simple bit of customer care would have been in order and for the lack of that I suggest you visit with this risk in mind. I will not be visiting again. Disgraceful approach from them regarding a genuine complaint.

Eaten here for 3 years since moving nearby, never had a bad meal, always fresh and full of flavour. Plus a lovely team, always so polite and friendly.

While waiting for my wife's hair to be done, needed a drink and cake. Been here before lockdown, new added front increasing seats to over 30. Had a Latte and 2 pieces of baklava was so good decided to have a cup of tea with another piece of baklava, so moist and full of taste. Next time instead of getting car cleaned will pop in for a cheeky brunch. Staff very friendly and polite. Unusual I know but needed a pee toilets out the back very clean and spotless, so much so I took a picture.

We visited here for lunch and were surprised by the huge menu. Although the English breakfasts looked amazing those of us trying to be healthy had a great choice too. I had a great prawn salad and my husband a tuna baguette. Both tasted great and fresh. The staff were friendly and helpful - we would definitely visit again.

I live right opposite Melz and its by far the best Breakfast in Medway! I have tried alot of things in there and its all top quality food and its a very clean place. Lovely friendly owners 😊

I eat here regularly after trying out so many other cafes. There is just nothing like a freshly cooked breakfast at Melz kitchen. Never once disappointed. Staff are extremely helpful and polite. I recommended this cafe to anyone who hasn't visited yet. Good food and variety. Large menu for all!!

What an incredible cafe. Great service and amazing food. I had the full brekkie and it was honestly one of the best cafe breakfasts I've ever had. The tea wasn't half bad too! Highly recommend this place if you're in town.

After seeing good reviews on here i decided to give it a try. Firstly the cafe looks clean enough. I waited for about 5 mins at the table but no one came to take my order so i ordered at the counter which is not a problem. I ordered a full breakfast with coffee , the coffee came promptly and was nice in a large cup , however the breakfast took about 10 mins longer and the coffee gets cold , this is a common problem in cafes , there was no toast however and after a few mins i had to go and ask for it and it was delivered a fews mins later. Overall i thought the food and service was not any better than most other cafes i have been in, i have a cooked breakfast most days in cafes throughout Kent.

Lovely clean cafe with great choice - I’d seen someone’s review showing bubble & squeak but it wasn’t on the menu, so I asked & they said they could do. Very good service and great food. My only criticism would be that it was very cold. Sat next to the radiator but it was not on

Lovely food and great service at great price

Whenever I get asked about a cafe to go to I always say Melz Kitchen. This place has been brilliant since it has opened. I got at least once a week, the food is amazing and freshly cooked. The staff are lovely people who make you feel so welcome. I can’t recommend this place enough so if you want a nice breakfast lunch or dinner and have the chance go here. Only tiny problem is the parking but that isn’t an issue

Excellent quality food. no cheap economy sausages or any such rubbish. everything cooked perfectly and a non greasy breakfast which isn’t always easy. Well impressed can’t believe I haven’t found it before and £6.50 for 2 eggs 2 bacon sausage 2 hash browns mushrooms beans tomatoes 2 toast and a coffee or tea is an economy buster

What a find! In between getting tyres and mot, I wanted a brekkie and found this little gem on Google maps. Well - cooked full English with very nice coffee - £6.50 - which is good value considering the standard of ingredients.

Friendly greeting - clean surroundings, reasonable prices - food was hot, fresh and filling. Go on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday and your practically have the place to yourself.
