A stunning location set in beautiful gardens. The staff were excellent and the public areas are well maintained. I would have liked to see the rooms better kept, having said that they were still of a very good standard. The lighting was in the rooms wasn’t great however, and just some extra thought into finer details (welcome pack, chocolates, etc) would have been nice. The dinner however let the hotel down, we were there as corporate guests so that may have had an impact on the quality of our food but breakfast was really good, overall a very enjoyable visit.

Wow! My husband and I have just visited for a second time and have nothing but glowing reviews for this hotel! The building is beautiful, the views magnificent and the room we stayed in absolutely gorgeous. Our first visit was cut short due to a family emergency and they went above and beyond for us. We stayed again last night (for my birthday) and there was even a card and a bar of birthday chocolate waiting in the room! The staff are all so polite and kind, the breakfast delicious, we will definitely be back. Thank you :)

We came here for Afternoon tea, very well presented and they did a child's version of this as well which my Nephew loved. The cakes were delicious and you could tell it was homemade bread for some of the Sandwiches. The service could have been a little more attentive on the day as for the price charged we were left waiting a little long after requesting some more tea. But the staff were very friendly and accommodating when dealing with us. We had an extensive walk around their lovely gardens after the tea which was very interesting, particularly the Kitchen Garden with all the different Apple trees described with their tasting notes.

Wonderful food, catering and bar staff were helpful, very clean everywhere and gorgeous grounds. Only negative thing I would say is the reception staff need some training as there were a few issues from word go.

Stayed at this hotel on a food package deal with a 4 year old. Lots of outside space for him to run around and they were very accommodating in the restaurant. Just make sure if you get food included with your booking, you are fully aware of what is an additional cost or you will end up with a pricey bill when checking out.

My partner took me here for my birthday weekend last weekend. It was a beautiful surprise. The room was decorated for my birthday and had a birthday card waiting for me. Nice touch. However, things started to slip when we had our dinner. We were forgotten and took 45 mins between our starter and our main. No one told us there was an issue, finally the food came and it was delicious. When .u other half asked for the bill it was only then we were apologised to for the delay and offered a drink in the bar for free. We accepted. Once in the bar area, a birthday cake came, which my partner commented, I thought they forgot that too. Then no drinks came..... we waited about 10 mins, bare in mind we were the only ones in the bar. As we left, the bartender was "like your drinks are coming, don't leave" When I said "oh I assumed you'd forgotten us again," he was very offish explaining how he's running everything and no one's talking to him. We had our drinks and left to go back to our room. In the morning after we had our breakfast, the waitress came over and apologised that the chocolate strawberry's weren't in our room when we arrived in the morning ( I was unawares of this ) and if we wanted them now. I said yes. My other half I can only imagine was quite annoyed, as well as he hid it, I would be if I went through all the effort of treating him and everything I organised didn't happen. For the price of the hotel I really expected a better dining service. Everything else about the hotel is absolutely stunning and the grounds are beautiful. We would come back again bring our dog, but would be worried about being forgotten. I am sure it was just a bad weekend but still. Would you, Oakley Hall be up to the challenge of changing our experience for the better?

The four of us went for a Sunday dinner and went for the two-course option. The food was ok, but nothing special. Once we'd finished our main meals we were pretty full so didn't want any desserts. At this point the waiter said that there was no option for them to reduce the cost and, even though we hadn't had any desserts, we'd still have to pay for them. The waiter even said he agreed it was ridiculous and that he dreaded telling people this because he feared they'd 'kick off' about it. We didn't cause a scene or anything however now having left the place I feel like I've been robbed. Overcharged by £40 or £50 for NOT having a dessert. I was thinking of bringing my colleagues here for a nice meal together. There are about 100 of my team that would have liked to eat out in a nice restaurant however we will definitely never ever be returning to this hotel who feel that it's appropriate to exploit customers with this disgusting policy. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Had a lovely evening with friends. The place was immaculate and newly decorated in a stylish manner. Service was amazing from the moment we walked in the receptionist showed us to the restaurant and then a very presentable restaurant manager and so polite. Food was delicious, wine tasty. Only slight improvements could be at the end we waited a long time to pay the final bill and it was quite chilly in there and the waiters looked a bit scruffy in comparison to the restaurant managers but I'm nitpicking....lovely evening.

What a fantastic hotel and wedding venue. I was lucky enough to visit Oakley Hall recently and experience the hotel, their delicious food in the restaurant and their wedding spaces. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated and I had a very enjoyable stay in a comfortable bed. My room had particularly high ceilings and large windows which let in lots of natural light! The wedding ceremony and reception spaces are lovely. From the library with it's ornate ceiling and intimate feel, to the really flexible Garden Pavillion, this would make an excellent wedding venue whether you were having an intimate wedding or large celebration. I was particularly impressed with how flexible the venue are, especially within the marquee space and dry hire options. It would be perfect for couples who want to totally personalise the decor and be able to party in complete privacy with their family and friends. Additionally, the food was amazing. We were really impressed with the quality of the meal as well as the service. Thanks so much to Katja, Jenny, Lindsay and all the team at Oakley Hall for having us. I really enjoyed the stay and would highly recommend this venue.

I was lucky enough to be gifted a champagne afternoon tea for 2 at Oakley Hall. The initial booking was not a particularly easy experience as there was an issue with the code on my gift certificate, and it took me chasing them up to get it sorted. When we arrived, we had to walk through several groups of wedding guests, rather than being signposted around the event, which made us feel rather awkward. The actual afternoon tea experience was fabulous though. Amazing service, lush food, and beautiful surroundings. Well worth a visit.
