Stopped here on Saturday with the family for something to eat. Lemon chicken was super. The service was normal. The staff for great will definitely be back

Great evening for the darts. Friendly atmosphere staff were great but no food on offer which was disappointing, however the darts team sorted that which was brilliant.

Had a great time at the Oak. Tony and the team are fab and the pizzas are great! Really lovely atmosphere in the pub. Definitely worth a visit!

I can't endorse this establishment enough. The Landlord and Landlady, Tony and Sam always welcome you with a warm smile and nothing is too much trouble for them. A very friendly clientele and a fabulous atmosphere. You'd do well to find a better pub in Basingstoke and the surrounding area.

been living in the area 2 years, met the owners while i was at work and we had great welcomeing conversations, and when i visit their pub you can tell its a welcomeing place with not only them being kind and curtious but the food is of high star rateing i would recommend to anyone who wants a warm, welcomeing atomsphere to visit the Oak in basingstoke, really glad to have met really kind and nice people and will always return for a pint also

Easily the best fish and chip I've had in years! Tender fish delightfully light batter. Freshly cooked to order! I enjoy going in this pub ..my buster dog is always welcome in here ..always have a laugh in here ... just had a steak also and it was immense....the meat melted in my mouth...thank you Tony 😉

The food was absolutely fantastic. The Cajun Sandwich was immense! Fresh and succulent and fantastic value for money. You even get served with a smile from Tony himself! Will be back soon!

Must get yourself down to The Oak and try the cajun chicken burger. The best burger I have had in a long time and will be going back for more and to try the rest of the food they have! keep up the good work guys!

Local knocking shop reputation a few years back and not changed. Typical estate pub, looks horrible from outside although inside a bit better, does not look inviting as full of smokers at the door which makes it smell, found it difficult to get in the entrance.me and my sister visited here a few weeks ago for a quiet drink and some strange old bloke would not leave my sister alone, he was drunk and would not take no for an answer. We left as felt unsafe, manager too busy to notice the unwanted attention. Place is a dive full of weird letchy old men who think its ok to swear etc and the bar staff are rude and seemed a bit vacant, too busy laughing and flirting with the men OK if you are a local then you are treated ok but if not from the area its a scary place sorry wont ever return and will advise all women that this is a pub for men and oakridge locals only

Haven't been in this pub in a while ...the manager is having a mask policy whilst ordering and moving but the way he delivered the message was incredibly unfriendly and felt as welcome as Boris in a Labour club. Funny thing is neither the manager or his 2 female staff had a mask on. Good beer but won't be back

Really great food . We had fish and chips and a couple of pints. All delivered really fast and it was absolutely delicious. The banter with the lady delivering too gave us a good laugh 😆 Looking forward to going in when they reopen.

With Adam recently taking over The Oak it has been transformed, even with the pandemic it’s been an upward battle but maintained a friendly atmosphere with happy staff going the extra mile. With the recent menu for home cooked meals for collection what can I say but wow. The fish and chips is amazing best I’ve ever tasted, have tried the roast, chilli dogs and all superb. Hat off to you Adam and staff what a turnaround thank you

Having just moved back to the area last Friday and a friend telling me how delicious the food was my family and I decided to order the roast beef x3 and fish and chips for my nephew. What can I say? The food was amazing and the new owner of the pub Adam was lovely Thank you 😀

Had an amazing fish&chips 🤤 I will definitely be going back, five star service guys keep up the good work. Heard they also do Sunday roasts!! Might need to sneak out for one after church.

Due to the lockdown it has been a long time since I've had a big roast dinner and a pint, as soon as I saw that The Oak had started delivering I thought I'd give it a go. Surprised with how big the meal was, very tasty, we had three meals, beef, roast belly pork and chicken, there was plenty of veg and roast potatoes, a giant yorkshire and pot of gravy. The pint was fantastic too. The best Sunday meal we have had in a long time. I will be doing this as a regular thing now.

Absolutely discussing pub, I originally posted to say this was good since new management, however I have returned home at 10:30pm due to the owner/or manager. so having a good night at karaoke, let's first start by saying I run a business as an entertainer, and have been reccomended to this venue due to new management, however, what I can say is that there is a very poor attitude by this management and I even asked for my details back as I would never do business with a person like this. I have come in here on my night off, I repeat a night off, to come and have some fun, I had one drink, I sang 2 songs, my review is at 22:52 and my writing is very clear before the excused of he is drunk. I went in here on my night off with my partner to have fun, a night off after a month completely full of work, and the Manager discusses with my partner that I'm no longer aloud to sing due to bringing down the mood, I had 4 - 5 customers stop me and say I was amazing and talk to me, some customers even knew me. After this I decided to discuss with the owner/manager and had an awful customer experience, I review experiences on here regularly but this was awful, the manager even tho I said why not talk to me...... Why not say I'm bringing down the vibe to my face and I'll sing a more up beat song..... Why not talk to me before saying I'm telling the DJ I'm no longer aloud to sing on my night off. she did not give a care in the slightest.... Her responce was I can say what I want.... You can say what you want but you need to learn some customer services or your pub will die like so many others in basingstoke. You can't tell a customer they are not aloud to sing regardless of if they are good or bad.

Good staff, average facilities nice that they have a pool table and dartboard! Prices are unfortunately quite high
