Very sweet community cafe with very friendly and approachable staff. Prices are good and affordable and quality is fairly decent, especially like the coffee rewards stamp card. Lovely place for a little bite to eat or to grab a take away coffee when going on a walk. Could do with a few more indoor tables for busier periods and to make better use of the space. Would definitely recommend as a little local spot.

Love having a local cafe but it isn’t somewhere I’d think to go. I hope they improve on their coffee and the acoustics of the place. It was hard to hear each other and gets pretty noisy. If you have ear problems like me, I’d sit outside. I do go there monthly to help the centre but think it needs improvement.

Sincerely and without saying more. The best coffee in Basingtoke. I am a woman who likes my coffee black, black and unsweetened and this beautiful coffee shop is where they offer the best coffee to their customers. The aroma, the taste, the bitterness of the coffee makes me feel like I am with my own family in my home country. Thank you for offering this fantastic coffee.😘😘😘😘

We came here with the children during our visit to the Beggarwood park. We could have sat down outside but decided to eat inside. Tables were nicely spaced out, and had been sanitised. They had a really good selection of coffees and cakes, decently priced. I did not want something sweet so I had a toasty, however sausage rolls, panini and sandwiches were available. The staff was ever so lovely and helpful! They were all wearing a mask. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely come again soon.

This Cafe is in a perfect location looking over Beggarwood Park. It has toys for children, water bowl for the dogs, clean loos and plenty of seats. We stopped for what we thought was a quick lunch but unfortunately it took nearly an hour to make a couple of Paninies and a Sandwich as I think they may have forgotten about us and the table next to us. The food was very nice, though and very reasonably priced.

The cafe is spacious with a good area for some general food, nothing big (not a big plate of food). Coffee, tea, chocolate and nicely prepared. There is also a play area, not large but nice with some toys for under 4s (though the older kids from my partner play here for a bit and they are 7 and 10). With the lovely walk area and kids play park just a short amble, it's a great place to drop onto.

Very nice little place, but, as a dog walker (and I think the majority of people who glide past are the same), I think a few more touches to entice such visitors in might increase the numbers. Such things as an awning or cover in the colder months ..?

On our way home from church and fancied breakfast so made an impromptu visit here for a bacon roll and a coffee. We were not disappointed - it was delicious. I also go on the first Wednesday of each month for the soup and bread and cheese, or a ploughman’s - it is fantastic food and very reasonably priced. Staff are wonderful and if you sit outside the view is fantastic.

Beggarwood has final got it's own community centre! The bonus was to find out that it came with a cafe! This has been a long overdue need for the locals. The Cafe in the Park over looks the glorious view of our local park which also happens to be a place for conservation as well. You can sit outside savouring a drink, bacon rolls and cakes, enjoying the sunshine and watching your children play. There are activities for the children, so if the weather turns, you know you can keep them occupied whilst enjoying that much needed break. The gluten free cakes are amazing, my favourite being a chocolate brownie. They also do gluten free rolls and with plenty of bacon, make a welcome start to the day. Dogs are not allowed inside but they are welcome to the outside areas, with water being provided. There is a small car park for users only and a rack for bikes. At the weekend, the Cafe opens from 10am to 1pm. It does also open Wednesday to Friday with extended hours.

In this world of overpriced café chains it is always delightful to find a little place where one receives total courtesy and charm in service, excellent coffee, delicious bacon rolls (on Saturdays at least) and wonderful fresh cakes, all at excellent value for money (£6.50 for bacon, cake, coffee) and where one can sit inside or outdoors with one’s dog being willingly supplied with fresh water (I believe there are biscuit treats inside also). It is only limited by its size and restricted opening hours but otherwise, if you are walking in or visiting the area at the right times. I suggest you drop in. Today was my third visit: each one has been thoroughly enjoyable with the feeling of being treated as the only customer. Those working there can only be thoroughly complimented on what they offer.

My first visit with my daughter and family to this lovely cafe situated in the Beggarwood Community Centre. We sat inside as it was hot outside. The staff were very friendly and helpful. As it is part of the Community Centre there are a number of toys about for little ones to make use of. The selection of food is not large but we had a very tasty home made vegetable soup. There are pastries and cakes available, which I believe are all home made. It is easy to get to and there are great views across the parkland.
