Dan the manager was so friendly and welcoming, even whilst coping single handedly on a busy afternoon. Lovely drinks and can highly recommend the coffee and walnut cake - delicious! Definitely worth a visit.

This is for the coffee pod by canterbury bus station. Lovely friendly staff. Some I've got to know over a few years. Can earn points via email and they DON'T email you! Purely for points ONLY. So grab a free coffee after a while. Best coffee in town.

I was with a walking group of about 14 people when we descended on the Lost Sheep in Canterbury half an hour before it closed. My coffee delicious, but what made it very special was that the smiling young lady, who was on her own, was calm and efficient throughout. While she juggled our large order along with others who had wandered in, she brought our orders to the table. Not one mistake and cheerful throughout. So, if this was you working on 22 August at 4.30, thank you for such excellent service and a perfect coffee.

Nipped in to get coffee and snacks for kids just as they were closing on a Sunday. Very helpful staff offered directions for us out-of-towners to a lovely place to go and enjoy them in the sun by the river.

We stopped in for tea and cakes trying to avoid some of the big chains and out for an independent cafe. I wish we hadn’t. The brownies was really dry and the cookie cake was overly sweet. They also had no hot food available at 3pm on a weekday. 2 teas and 4 cakes cost us a whopping £22. A definite tourist trap and we should have been warned bye the fact it was empty when others were completely full. There was a hoover lying out in the cafe and yet it obviously hasn’t been used as there was dirt and dust everywhere. We won’t be returning!!

Visited here as I used to love the Ashford outlet one.. It just didn’t feel the same.. dry looking cake on sale.. didn’t fancy anything on the menu so had toast (was nice). Staff were friendly but didn’t have the same clean look as the Ashford one.

Polite and kind staff. I ordered a flat white and an orange meringue to try some different! It was definitely worth trying something new as I adored the meringue. Thank you for a lovely experience.

On the positive side the staff were nice and the coffee (when it eventually turned up) was enjoyable - although the cake (while a generous size) was over-sweet. But being told when you first arrive that: 'no hot food will be available for 30 minutes' is a definite turn-off. Plus the menu itself is very limited. And then there is the 'swinging cow door' between the kitchen and the dining room that frequently loudly clatters to and fro as the staff move between the two rooms - most distracting and annoying if you are close to it. This is in about the best 'tourist trap' location possible, but perhaps that's why the establishment doesn't try too hard.

A very overpriced small black coffee with hardly any taste whatsoever. How can you warrant £3.10 for a very sub standard drink, and to cap it all only card payment.

Lovely staff. Good service. Nice vibe. Good coffee. Fair price. However, I do feel a business called Lost Sheep literally next to the cathedral could have something going for the homeless here. I'm not talking soup kitchen, but maybe a contribution to Porchlight? Collection box for Catching Lives? Also, somewhat offputting was the 'story of Lost Sheep' on the wall which was so overblown. I got the whole timeline from where they travelled to backpacking, to how the coffee came from Australia. It seemed pretentious. Mate, I just want a coffee, not to be initiated in your brand's miraculous journey through time...

My daughter and I hoped to grab some lunch while in town so we popped in to the Canterbury branch. The menu is rather limited with all options containing bread/toast/muffin with hash being the only non-bread alternative. ZERO flexibility and no alternatives for customers trying to avoid/lower the consumption of carbohydrates. Consequently, we opted for coffee which was nice but that`s about it. I won`t comment on the interior and exterior decor as the scaffolding (although not appealing) is not exactly the owners` fault (in fact, we chose to visit the place as feeling sorry for the owners). When my card was declined (my fault as being new to the bank app and merchant settings), once again the staff showed zero flexibility and refused to accept cash (even when I offered to pay almost double (not requesting the change). Huge stress as I tried to connect to my bank app (poor reception is another issue) and ultimately reset the preferences.

Visited this coffee house today and ordered two Capachino's. They took over 20 minutes to arrive, the place wasn't even busy. When they did arrive, they were cold! Not very good considering there was 3 staff, they also cost £3.20 each. Won't be going back there again in a hurry. 0/10.

We were seated immediately, and the waitress was friendly, really pleasant. It did take a while for anyone to take our order, but when the waiter came to take our order he was also friendly, and advised us on the cheapest way to order what we wanted. The coffees arrived quickly, the mocha and flat white were hot and tasty. It did again take a little bit of time for the pot of tea to arrive, it seemed to have been missed off the order, despite it being ordered as an afternoon tea. Although, one of our party did confuse matters, so we won’t hold it against them!! Wonderful scones, if a tiny bit on the small side, more than enough jam and cream. They were well worth the cost!! Highly recommend, but not if you’re in a hurry. There was also the most gorgeous dog there, but I cannot guarantee that for every visit 😂

The Beaney Cafe is spacious with high ceilings and probably a good place to meet with friends if you are a little bit unsure about meeting in a public place at the moment. The Earl Grey Cake was absolutely delicious and the staff, as always, are very obliging and friendly. Definitely recommend this as a place to meet with friends during this Coronovirus situation, as long as they stay open!

Nice ambience and friendly staff. Bagels..... But little else on offer. That said my crushed avocado 🥑 and smoked salmon was spot on. It just needs a menu that offers more variety..... Quiches, Homemade Soups would be great additions. Located in The Old Town Hall. Fully Licensed and Coffee/Cake for afters.
