Lovely friendly old fashioned pub

Came here yesterday and the coffee was cold and the the prices are expensive given the quality. Not coming here again

Located conveniently just off the high street, this is a great spot to meet up with friends and be part of the busy atmosphere in a pub full of character.

Sad day for Business if Kia Starrmer has caused a price increase, a loss of over £40 a week, 😣

The best shuffleboard pub in the country (is there any others)

SO VERY SAD, EVERYONE PUT THEIR BILLS UP,THEY HAD TO CLOSE.

The girl behind the counter who served us on Friday 10th January at 4.30pm so blunt and rude. I am not sure that is she racist or not as I am not an English. We used to visited here before and been served very well and friendly. Unfortunately not this time.. She need to work on her attitude and be friendly to customer I'm afraid.

A real proper pub. Great beer, great landlords. A pleasure.

Good Place to visit But I think a bit Pricey

A huge Wetherspoons. I sat in a lovely corner booth. The decorations of pictures and Bletchley memorabilia was a nice touch, honouring those that saved the war. Toilets were very clean.

We travel this road nearly every month to see our son in the Surrey Hills. My wife and I always wanted to stop at the Star Inn but never had the chance. Since her passing away my family and I deliberately made time to stop as a homage to her. Wonderful meal, wonderful venue. My wife would have loved it. Definitely to be repeated. Leanne our server was the epitome of customer service, nothing was too much trouble for her. Outstanding all around!!

Good food but a bit quiet in the week

The delay in service was advised at 30 minutes only when we arrived despite a reservation but in realty was closer to 59 minutes. My husband’s beef was so tough it was hard to either cut or chew. My fish was overcooked. The desert was nice though. And waitress lovely.

We've had hotdogs from The Cow Shed quite a few times & they are always SOOO good! We usually have the 'Vegan Dog', but yesterday we had the 'Facon Dog' & it was delicious! So many parts of it you could barely tell were vegan - they are really good substitutes. It was all so tasty & cooked perfectly - the onions were really good. The cheese sauce was really tasty & always just the right amount of mustard. The 'facon' was a really nice texture contrast as it was crispy/crunchy. As you can see, they are always very generous with the toppings! The hotdog is huge too! Definitely recommend trying it if you haven't already!
