The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in South East

Every time I am ordering frappe and I KEEP telling them to put Whipped cream but they keep putting just CREAM!? Unbelievable service I will never go back there again that was the last time! And I am not talking about this one only. Everywhere is like this! Like they are giving the WHIPPED CREAM FROM THEY’RE POCKET OR I AM ASKING THEM FOR MONEY! BAD SERVICE! THERE IS ONE WOMEN WHO DOES HER JOB PROPERLY BUT UNFORTUNATELY SHE IS NOT THERE EVERYDAY! THE REST ARE JUST USELESS! GETTING PAID FOR NOTHING!

Friendly place with nice staff and reasonable pricing. Clean and welcoming.

This is a regular lunch place for is us for a coffee. Staff are always really friendly, quick service and the place is always clean

Usual Costa fayre. Nothing particularly wrong with it but whoever runs this concession needs to decorate it inside and especially out. Looks an embarrassing mess. Takes the piss out the customer. Not good

Be Careful if you pay in cash here. Certain staff members like to regularly short change you. Apart from that all is ok.

We stopped there for lunch on our way out of Flowerland today. I had read the reviews and was really excited about this place…. That’s where the excitement stopped. I don’t know if it’s because we don’t look like we’re local, but we never got to even see a menu. Nobody answered when we said “hello” as we came in. The man, who I assumed was the bartender, gave us a side look, turned around and went at the back. We were left a good 10mn standing at the bar, looking like a couple of pillocks before we decided to just leave. So, I’m sure the food is lovely, and the place itself does look nice, but if they only acknowledge the people who live in the street, then put a sign at the door asking non locals to keep walking.

This place is a hidden gem. Good old proper pub/ restaurant. Owners so very friendly , the food amazing. All meat and vegetables are locally sourced.we both had the stake and ale pie which was amazing, the meat was so tender and homemade pastry top class, this came with a dish of veg, consisting of broccoli cauliflower carrots and leeks, all cooked perfectly. It was served with a choice of new potatoes or home made chips, and was also presented with a big jug of homemade gravy. The service was perfect ,genuine kind lovely people. Beautiful village between Northampton and Newport Pagnell. Also dropped by last year for a Sunday dinner which was also fab. So nice to be able to gout out for such fresh wholesome food. We will be back

Loved this bar on the beach. Comfy deck chairs, a great view, with a drink and chilled music. Very worth a visit.

Lemon & Pistachio cake looked good at £4.25 - one slice left so ordered for takeaway. Only when got home did I find the smallest portion I’ve ever seen. It was less than the slice on display… Absolute rip off. Can only presume they wanted some for themselves. Didn’t see the slice give. As was wrapped up. Honduras coffee was £4.35 and wasn’t good.m either. Service wasn’t good either - both staff sullen. Had to ask for the cake that I’d paid for. No milk out for the coffee and that seemed a chore for them to get more.

Two mates and I attended the Thursday night stake night deal and as always, walked away full and happy! I had the smash burger and my only 2 mates had the steak deal for x2. My smash burger was the best I’ve ever had, full of flavour and the side salad…. Wow! Everyone left that evening full and happy! Fee and her team were welcoming and very attentive! I will definitely be visiting again in the future!

Awful experience. Dire service. Had to ask to order after waiting for 30 mins. After 45 mins I chased up my drink. May head over to McDonald’s if my dinner doesn’t arrive soon.

We hadn't eaten in the Fox and Hounds for a couple of years as our last experience wasn't great. I am pleased to say we gave it another go. They even did their set menu on a Bank Holiday Monday. We all had 3 courses and all were very good. Delicious home made soup, 3 different main courses and treacle tart and sticky toffee pudding. However without doubt the stand out dish was the caprese salad. It was soooo good! Also a massive shout out to Rebecca, a true hospitality professional and a credit to the Fox and Hounds. We will be back 🙂

Found The Chambers by accident and were so impressed initially by the decor and later by the food. The lunch menu was limited but the vegie options according to my partner were excellent. I had the fishcake as a starter and it was A1. This is our new favourite place in Portsmouth/Southsea and we will happily return again soon.

Visited on the 14/5/25 very welcoming, had the smaller chicken and mushroom pie and it was delicious, wife had ham, egg and chips, chips were very thick and also delicious, spacious garden and undercover eating areas as well inside which was very delightful, if we down in Lyndhurst again this is where we are eating 10/10.
