The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in South East

Dined here a number of times without issue but on Saturday was waiting over an hour for food, chased once was told 10 minutes asked again 20 minutes later and told it would be another 20 minutes. Not a great experience, had to walk out as had 2 starving children!

Only 7 customers sitting down at the moment. No queue at the till, however EVERY table has dirty cups and plates on it. Two staff on, but no clearing done in last 30+ minutes while I have been here. Needs a firmer hand from management.

Comfortable and cozy. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Always a perfect coffee...

Avoid this place if you can!! First off when I went to pay for my food, the price displayed by the food was 9.95 but when I went to pay I chose eat in and it suddenly went up to 11.95 so I asked for help and the worker seemed to sort it out so I payed only to realise he had charged me even extra!! So I got this refunded but he barely spoke a word of English and was really hostile. Sat down and ate the food and to say I was disappointed was an understatement. Paid £12 for a whole bunch of nothing. The staff watch you like hawks while you’re trying to eat which made me feel so awkward. I promise I’m not just some Karen moaning lol it was genuinely one of the worst experiences I’ve had!

Lovely staff, coffee and a chilled atmosphere, I met a friend and we were able to relax and chat. The toilets need an air freshener!

Virtually empty cafe, still had to wait 20 minutes for a single coffee. Not acceptable to keep customers waiting while the staff have a little chat. Came here with a friend just for coffees yesterday. Really good. But why does it take 20 minutes to make when we were the only customers waiting for drinks.

Unfortunately, The Bakers Arms in Winchester falls short of expectations. The beer selection is uninspiring, with a lack of variety and little effort to offer anything beyond the most basic options. If you're hoping for a decent pint or something unique, you’ll likely leave disappointed. However, the bigger issue is the overall atmosphere and customer service. There’s an unwelcoming feel to the place, with staff who seem disinterested at best and outright rude at worst. Rather than creating a warm, friendly environment, interactions often feel like you're inconveniencing them just by ordering a drink. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to linger. With so many great pubs in Winchester, there’s little reason to return to The Bakers Arms. A pub should be about more than just serving drinks—it should offer a welcoming experience, and sadly, this one misses the mark.

A good place when you and your friends/ business partners want to have a quiet conversation, not loud music, staff are very attentive and friendly; drinks brought to the table, highly recommended 👍

Had a lovely time in Waitrose food hall, I popped in to get something to eat!! The staff was lovely very helpful, the food was great to eat!! So fresh and extremely tasty with lots of different options to try, it's my new place to eat at!! Not expensive too!! Loved it!!!

Came for coffee ended up having a lunch .very nice

I don't want to give a bad review to a family owned restaurant. But there was so much wrong with this place that is easily fixed. The staff were more interested in chatting amongst themselves than serving and while we were there there were 2 tables full of dirty plates and cups that stayed that way the entire time while the staff enjoyed chatting. If I am eating in with sandwiches and a salad I don't really want to eat out of takeaway containers, the least that can be done is to put it on or give us plates. The food offering is mediocre at best and nothing of any substance that is hot. It is like no real thought has been put into what is being offered, for example soggy croutons with salad, basic would not be difficult to offer soups etc. Overall pretty poor TBH

Almorzamos aquí como parte de una peregrinación parroquial a la catedral de Chichester. Nos dieron un menú para elegir con una solicitud para enviar pedidos por adelantado, lo que hicimos. Cuando llegamos nos llevaron a una habitación reservada para grupos donde se habían colocado mesas con cubiertos y jarras de agua. La comida estaba pronta y atractiva servida y muy sabrosa.

It was very busy when I came, but the girl behind the bar called Ell is absolutely amazing, why the owners decided to have her on her own when it was packed I have no idea, but she was absolutely brilliant My pint of Carling was refreshing

No notice of not getting the food I ordered until my delivery arrived. Would have been nice to have known in advance or be offered an alternative.
