Costa Coffee in Fareham

We call in here quite often usually when it is warm enough to sit outside because of our dog. The coffee is always good and we tend to see the same people all the time. They are a friendly bunch and we are always welcomed. I wish Costa permitted dogs and feel sure they are losing out

We had coffee and cake the service was great and the atmosphere was very good

The atmosphere was good the service was a a tad bit slow but worth the wait for my cuppa coffee

Went in on Saturday 7th October am.....very strange! Only takeaway cups....no aircon on despite it being hot and stuffy and three members of staff one who kept shouting like she was a F1 commentator...very off putting when you go there to relax. Coffee was really poor and it feels like something has changed there.....New management? Looking forward to the new coffee shop opening soon Costa need to up things.

Why are the people who work here always so miserable and rude. Got tutted at for reminding the barista that one of my coffee’s was a decaf. Also an older gentleman came in behind me who was hard of hearing and spoke quietly and the server told him “you’ll have to speak up if you want serving” she was just extremely rude to him for no reason. She could have just asked him to repeat himself.

OMG What's gone wrong, not been in this one for ages and it's gone down hill with the very poor staff. No spoons, No White Sugar, And very poor customer service

Much the same as any Costa, nothing exceptional, but you know what you're getting, clean environment, pleasant staff and a familiar menu.

Very nice little coffee shop , with reasonable selection of food stuffs. Staff were very pleasant 👍👍

Went in to claim my free birthday cake to share with my son, as well as ordering 3 drinks and cake for my wife and mum. There was a note on the till explaining the Costa club reward scanner was down so I couldn't claim beans and should keep my receipt. I politely asked if I was still able to claim the cake as it was my birthday and the girl serving me rolled her eyes and flat out said 'no'. Not, "im really sorry but our machine isn't working" or even a happy birthday... I cancelled the cakes out of irritation and she sighed. Bought the 3 drinks to stop my 5yo son from being upset and then she didn't give me the receipt so I could claim my reward points back. Went in for a free cake I couldn't get, spent a tenner on 3 drinks I didn't even originally want and the customer service was awful. I won't be going back. I went to the bakery opposite to get cake instead. They appreciated the custom.

Not very clean or welcoming, staff came out with dirty cleaning cloths and bottles of cleaning liquid, wandered round without cleaning anything and then went back in the kitchen. Didn't listen when taking coffee orders, had to repeat several times, definitely wouldn't recommend.

Really disgusted with Rebecca the so called store manager - has an appalling attitude and is completely not fit for the role - using inappropriate language and being verbally abusive to her staff is completely not on. This woman needs to learn the role of proper customer service she should not be a manager will not be returning here again.

Cash only on my visit which meant a lot of people turning away.

Got the order wrong and the young lady was rude to my husband and told him to rejoin a long queue dispite our drinks having already been made. To make matters worse, my husbands coffee was not nice and my toast was burnt and cold when i got it.

Better coffee in this Costa. I have found the coffee different of late especially a flat white made weaker in some Costas.

Absolutely disgusted with the service I got, the manager wearing the name badge Rebecca!!! Well she needs to learn to manage her mouth, shocking the language out her mouth as she couldn't keep up with the demands. More disgusting was my 4 year old daughter was with me and witnessed this. Lucky for her I'm a decent human being and held my mouth shut. Feel sorry for the other staff that works with her, I don't know how they keep their cool

Saturday 1st October about 2.30pm not that busy sign on window saying they were closing at 4pm due to staff shortage. Ordered our drinks to be told they will be made in takeaway cups not something I like drinking out of i had my Grandmother who is 93 and she has never drunk out of a takeaway cup in her life eventually they gave her a latte glass, not impressed realise staff problems can't be helped ,but you must realise not everyone likes drinking out of takeaway cups.

Coffee is OK but the place needs a really good clean. Floor and windows need washing grimed in dirt not sure when it was last deep cleaned

Long queue waiting for 8am new late time Sunday opening. Barista on her phone and sipping cold drink while customers trying to get in Took 15 minutes to get served. 2nd Barista didn't arrive until 8.20. No bread available as really wanted toast and coffee then overcharged because I had to have alternative not in the breakfast deal. Can they buy a loaf from next door? Change back to 7.30am please...

Went to costa for a quick takeout drink to cool off in the heatwave and was very unhappy with my experience. I don't usually write reviews but this one needed to be written. The store manager is completely disrespectful and rude to both her own staff and customers, slamming things around and swearing under her breath. The toastie that I had was prepacked junk with horrible cheese and was not worth the price.

Cozy, not a big seating area, but just about right size for the community. Usual Costa standards, also very convenient to pick up a takeaway enroute to visit the Grandkids again.

I was appalled by the attitude of Rebecca the store manager at Costa. Very rude and unhelpful plus the fact that she was extremely rude to her members of staff whom she shouts at and physically manhandles, not something I want to see when I've come in for a relaxing coffee. Myself and my group will NOT be returning while Rebecca continues this disgusting behaviour.

I eat and drink all over the world and and worked in the catering industries, silver service etc so know what customer service is. and never have I received such shocking customer service and from the store manager no less. some one who would be much more suited to a greasy spoon looking very unkempt and obviously on the drugs. so after walking in on what was clearly a customer issue wich would and should of taken no more than one member of staff. I was stood for a while watching the other two members of staff leaning over the counter. when I asked of this was going to take much longer. the reply I had from the customer was "thats a bit lairy" to which I replied not really, i dont understand how it takes all three members of staff to sort this out. the duty/store manager said if I dont like it I can go some where else. shocking service by someone who would best fit a burger van setting not Costa stubbington. absolutely abhorrent behaviour. know for slow service in the village. I will never visit again.

The staff seem to want to do anything else other than serve waiting customers. Opening times are poor and show no signs of improving even after a recovery of staff.

Amazing service, but was disappointed from the cakes when I realised they are not home-made (but not overly fussed because they still taste AMAZING!!!). Costa is and forever will be my comfort coffee house.

Nice shop, friendly staff but my experience was somewhat spoiled by the dirty shopfront windows, they appeared not to have been cleaned for a very long time. Easily fixed though by employing a reputable window cleaner……easy peezy really.

They re all lovely people working inside and working hard lady named rebecca very organised and hard working she should get a pay rise have a great new year thank you very much for your great service

Used to get a good flat white in Costa but now its more like a latte, whats gone Wrong?

Visited the costa stubbington store last week, the food counter was full and had alot of choice.. the store was very clean and the toilet smelled fresh.. staff were very friendly.. Found out the store was under new management, and many staff still in training.. Customers should bear this in mind when visiting stubbington store.

The food and coffee were about the only thing that was a good standard, the staff were very rude and dismissive of even the most simplest request to turn the air con down, as it was positively baltic at the far end of the cafe. As i scraped the ice from my laptop where i was trying to work, noticed the same staff member being rude to another customer about his order. All in all, very poor and will not return.

I am not a lover of big corporation coffee shops preferring independent cafes. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and efficient and the coffee stayed hot during its transfer to Whiteley.

Another good costa coffee. Plenty of signage and outdoor seating. Not a huge place but well stocked fridges and counter. Service a bit on the slow side but the pasties and cakes were all good and the coffee up to the usual costa standard ☕️ Hope you find this helpful 👍🏻😃

Found one member of staff particularly rude. And was not happy being spoken to like a misbehaving child. (ironically as she was barely out of school herself!) I thought this was very unprofessional. The reason for the incident was unavoidable. The member of staff made us feel very uncomfortable

Went in the 8 th November Sunday staff got my order wrong twice and even when I opened my drink realised they forgot the cream on the hot chocolate staff where surly and obviously didn’t want to be there very disappointing £8 for drinks and a side order of attitude for free

Costa Stubbington are so friendly and helpful - they always do the best they can for you with a smile and positive attitude. They are my go to Costa store in the area :)

that was my best place to set and enjoy nice coffee but the staff dirty no one care about the coustomer go help any one take drink and not in take away caps wake up costa and do something

Excellent service, Covid setup and procedures are well thought out and staff are brilliant.

Great they have doors open so need to touch any surfaces. As well as the excellently made flat whites , who can resist a yummy chocolate twist , not me.😂

Shocking, visited during the Stubbington 10k event, sold out of ice, so no cold drinks... surely they knew this event was on? I know they were busy, but very poor preparation & no thinking out of the box ☹

Best Costa I visit! I live locally so this makes it even more enjoyable since I can visit lots. I feel that other Costas aren’t as friendly as this one furthermore, all the staff are lovely and kind and will strike up a conversation even if they are really busy!

I frequent this branch as local to me but over past few months it has got considerably worst staff are loud rude talk all over each other.They can’t seem to get orders correct either as probably not listening to customer as too busy talking amongst themselves!

A little too much focused on the locals than other outlets and I barely got a smile from any of them. Quite a contrast to Brockhurst Gate which is amazing! You don't want to leave 😉

The only toilet there was grubby and not flushing. The seat was falling off Front of house were polite and coffee good

Didn't get her name, but the girl with the really curly hair was excellent, haven't had that much interaction from a staff member anywhere with my kids for ages, would go back there just to hope that the other staff are as caring and funny as her!

Standard fare and service. But get really fed up with the single person taking up the comfortable 4 seats that a family could have. Get these 2 hour one coffee laptop browsing people onto small tables.

Great staff, the coffee 10/10 as always. Also great to meet up with friends couldn't ask for better.
