Very good food- ok service - atmosphere is good until service starts talking about religion it is not necessarily. However kebab and salads was yummy 😋 good jobs i will be back soon

Wasn't happy with staff member as a young blone girl was Constantly looking at my African bf who is 58 don't look older then his 30s. But anyways even went to the bk to but hip hop on. She was Seriously trying to get his attention. He felt uncomfortable when we left. Just should be doing her job not trying to show off with big men. 🙄 the chips were old. The fish was amazing. We ordered Regul. But the lady with drown hair was really nice. And even Gave us large. She probably felt uncomfortable and know what her co working was doing.

Excellent food ,brilliant service order for ten people outstanding nothing missing and nothing left it was great will definitely use again really enjoy all of it

Used to be one of Brighton's best donut but ownership has changed and the quality has dropped massively while the price has increased. :(

If you’re considering the pilgrims rest as a venue for your big day….DO IT! Do not hesitate!! It is honestly the most beautiful and special place, it just has the wow factor as soon as you step inside the gorgeous big wooden front door! It took our breath away and we booked at first sight! First venue we visited too and I am so glad we did! We opted for an Apres Ski themed winter wedding and it was spot on!!! The decor they have in there was beyond perfect and beautiful! Amy & Waverley are just saints! They couldn’t have been any better, the whole wedding party was raving about how hard they worked and always with a smile on their faces! Amy was my main point of contact and she was a star throughout the whole process! Answering my millions of questions and giving very helpful guidance on absolutely anything we needed! She literally made the whole process so less stressful and a lot of fun! We are so so glad we chose the pilgrims rest! Our guests said it was the most amazing day and they adored the venue! Absolutely amazing food , friendly staff especially South African owner . I’ve eaten all over the world and would say this is now in my top 5 places to eat purely for the quality of food . Not even a great fan of Thai food until I ate here , blew my mind ! Quality ingredients and flavours , plentiful portions . We were family of 5 and all of us felt the same . Congrats to the team and we will def be back soon .

I recently ordered the tandoori chicken and butter naan, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed. The quality and quantity of the food were absolutely amazing. The chicken was perfectly cooked, tender, and packed with rich, smoky flavors. The butter naan was soft, fluffy, and had just the right amount of buttery goodness. For the price, the portion size and taste exceeded my expectations. The flavors were authentic and delicious, making it an excellent value for money. Highly recommended for anyone craving flavorful and satisfying Indian cuisine. Will definitely be ordering again!

This is my second visit and it really does not disappoint! Wonderful atmosphere. Service is first class and the food is delicious and portions generous…. I really am looking forward to going again.

An excellent restaurant in a delightful location overlooking the green. Excellent food and even better service. Nothing was too much trouble.

Delightful coffee, delightful service, delightful cafe! Mainly, the coffee, was complex and had a beautiful flavour, a house blend that was brewed to perfection, seemingly exactly for my little taste buds. The milk (flat white) was silky and smooth, and the ratios were spot on. Great cup all round and regardless of anything else, the coffee wins. The service and vibes to the place are equally as immaculate though. Shared seating creates a real community buzz and nice atmosphere, with staff, both knowledgeable and friendly, going above and beyond to create a great experience. The cafe is one of the best in Brighton, and that’s before the cakes and bakes! I obviously couldn’t try the whole lot, but going of the quality of the pastel de nata that I had, ooooweeee I’m excited to go back!

Accidentally ended up here during a late night drive and actually walked in looking for a vegan restaurant. The waiter (Juan) was so friendly that his cheerfulness convinced me to stay and dine on the patio of the restaurant. Juan recommended their vegan option, which was a vegan wrap. IT WAS DELICIOUS. I thoroughly enjoyed the scenery while sitting on the porch as the cars drove by. The music was classical and I was very relaxed while eating my meal because the ambiance was perfect. Thank you Juan for your excellent hospitality. Will definitely be back!
