Lovely restaurant. Amazing food and very friendly

After living in BW for a couple of years we finally tried Giorgio’s! Atmosphere was lovely and cosy, all of the food was delicious, and staff were really friendly. Will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu! Thank you 😁

Wonderful family run Mediterranean style restaurant. With good varied menu offering quality food at reasonable rather than over inflated prices. Family? Well, the chef is Giorgio, who had his parents, like Barry (his dad and his mum sat at the bar) who are his business partners. They graciously came over and introduced them selves & each other. Stopping by to tell us how the restaurant came to be and have a laugh. Giorgio's Beef Stifado took me back to the the fine cuisine in Crete while the cool Greek salad took us back to the warmth of the Greek sun. My wife's Linguine carbonara brought back memories of halcyon days in both Spain & Italy. And the pizza? Our daughter, enjoyed the pizza campagnola, which was cooked with care as were all it's toppings, NONE being a last minute after thought, like so many, and just chucked on as an after thought. No. Giorgio know his trade and loves being the chef and host. We finally finished off with some homemade chocolate profiteroles with chocolate sauce and some lemoncello to gentley almost imperceptibley wash it down. Will we be going back? Oh yes! 😆🤩

Very good meal, but even better service. My partner was given the wrong main course, and the staff apologised profusely. We only had to wait 6 or 7 minutes for the right one to be brought out, but when the bill came, the main course had been taken off the bill, along with a round of drinks. Thought this was a great way to make up for a minor mistake.

Wonderful restaurant in the heart of BW. We didn’t book but were lucky to get a table as it was busy even on a week night. And you can see why as the ambiance is lovely, a romantic setting and the food was amazing. The staff were very attentive and courteous. We didn’t feel rushed with our courses, there was a good selection on wines and menu choices with some specials being offered aswell. We will definitely return!

music was on, Poor service as usual if its busy. The bar is not suitable for ordering drinks at as they have bar stools in place and you have to fight your way through. The food portion last night was very poor which made us feel ripped off. £9 for mushroom starter, very salty & hardly any mushroom, no garnish or bread ! Mushroom risotto also lacked mushroom. Over priced.

We were recommended Georgios and were not disappointed. Good choice of Mediterranean food. Portions are plenty and not overpriced. Good wine list on offer and a cocktail bar for pre drinks. The young staff were polite and on the ball. Very good staff, everyone of them. Would recommend and would go again.

What a fantastic restaurant. Greek atmosphere, clean and authentic tasting food. We will be back as looking for a local non chain alternative restaurant. Perfect location too!

Beautiful interior and lovely waiting staff. The falafel starter and the olives are both very tasty. However, as a vegan, although 3 mains on the menu, the 2 I have tried were disappointing. The pizza was too large and too boring. The bean stew tasty but too much and therefore became boring. No plant based puddings. My friends enjoyed their crab ravioli from the specials board, my husband’s beef in the stifado wasn’t falling apart and meting but was tasty. Quite expensive when you’re left feeling underwhelmed. Such a shame as a great venue.

Came here for a mid-week dinner with friends and everything was delicious. We all commented on how good our meals were and didn’t know what to choose from the menu as everything sounded so good. Even on a weekday there was still a lovely atmosphere and very popular!

Bit of a hidden jem. Only a front door is the giveaway that there is a restaurant down stairs. It's a good size space with lots of character. We only had a drink but so popular and busy. Food looked and smelt good. Will definitely be back for food, especially the sea food.

Really good neighbourhood style restaurant. The staff were welcoming and competent and the atmosphere was cosy and relaxed. All the food we had was well executed and tasty - lots of staples to choose from. Would recommend.

Been a while since we have been here. We had a great meal with a shared starter (Falalfel etc...) Seafood Linquine and Pizza with a nice bottle of wine. Great service and a nice atmosphere so.... we will be back.

Went for a family birthday meal. We booked a table in advance to secure a spot. The service was excellent, the food delicious with plenty of choices.

One of our favourites, this place never fails to deliver an all round excellent experience. With a cosy atmosphere, helpful & friendly staff, and last but not least authentic tasty food. I find it difficult after visiting here many times (and trying various different items on the menu) not to order the halloumi fries as a starter, and the Calabrese pizza as main; both are very good. Pizza is my favourite food, and this one ranks in my top 3 I've ordered from any restaurant, the chicken, pepperoni and spicy sausage are a perfect combination (ask for chilli as an additional topping if you want an extra little 'kick'). Portion sizes are generally very good for most dishes. As for desserts the options vary every time (listed on a small chalk board placed on your table), but the cheesecake is always very good, especially if it's the biscoff one! Thank you for a great experience every time!

The setting and atmosphere inside this 'under ground' restaurant is special. It is well thought out and gives a good degree of authenticity. The service was good and the food was VERY tasty although ONE chicken kebab, albeit a fairly large one, for around £17 was certainly on the pricey side. Value for money? Probably not. Having said that we will probably be back to try out other dishes.

We came to Giorgio's for our 27th wedding anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was my 2nd time here and couldn't wait to take my husband. He was just as blown away with the food, the atmosphere and the great service. I loved the tzatiki dip (without lemon juice, perfect for me as I have a citrus allergy) which came with pitta bread, a generous pot of olives with Feta cheese and sun-dried tomatoes and thoroughly enjoyed the seafood linguine as my main meal. I had absolutely no room for dessert. Will make another reservation very soon!

Giorgio's has always been the door to who knows where on the High Street in Bishops Waltham, but we have finally visited to see where the door went. The food was delicious, the service was pleasant and efficient and the venue and atmosphere was fitting and comfortable. We couldn't fault it and will definitely be back soon.

We are so fortunate to have this lovely little restaurant in Bishops Waltham! A smaller menu is far better. What they offer is done really well and is hot on arrival. A little bit of dressing for the salad would have been great but I could have asked! Great service and atmosphere:-)

Great atmosphere and amazing food!

We had a meal with friends tonight. First time for all of us- and we can’t wait to come back. The food is delicious and the setting is stunning. Such a lovely relaxing and friendly atmosphere. Thank you Aleisha for looking after us tonight….and to all the staff aswell. Great value for money -We even had to check the bill at the end as it seemed too cheap. 5⭐️

We had a truly wonderful evening tonight at Georgios. The food was cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend the Moussaka and Linguine Giorgio. Also the Sticky Toffee pud was to die for! The is the nicest and tastiest meal we have all had for a long long time, and there was 4 of us in our party. We could literally not fault anything. Worth every penny. The waitresses were so kind and caring. We would especially like to thank Alicia. She was a star. Definitely book, You wont be disappointed.

One of my favourite places for a meal out! Good food, good atmosphere, good service. I recommend it to everyone. It's even better if you make it on a night with live music.

Christmas eve meal superb great service a definite do it again

Went with a group of friends for a get together, the food was nice, but so very overpriced to say the least! Anyway, all was going well until the music started, then you literally couldn’t hear yourself talk. The evening was cut short to get away from the noise, far too loud for a small restaurant. We listened to 3 songs, which I might add, we’re way off key, and left. I can’t fault the girls who were waiting on the table, they did a brilliant job! Once it was a delight to go there, but not anymore, so we shall not be visiting again!

We went toG’s as a group of family and friends. We had a very enjoyable evening. Service was good. Nobody had any issues with food. My dolmades were ok. The seafood risotto very tasty although the calamari rings were too chewy for my taste. Reports on the chicken souvlaki and the stifado were both positive. And the price worked out well also.

Stopped by for a cocktail to end an evening out. Lovely place, lovely atmosphere.

Excellent customer service in the end by Megan But we did wait at least 30/40 for order food after first drinks order. We had to ask for someone to take our order. Starters were lovely when we got them however mains we missing ingredients ie chorizo and my chicken Slovaki was very dry. But couldn’t fault waitress especially Megan. Wasn’t great service for food considering not many table full

From the moment we walked through the door we felt welcomed at Giorgio's. The staff were excellent and nicely attentive throughout the evening. We each had a 3 course meal comprised of different dishes and each was delicious. We had a thoroughly lovely time and would highly recommend Giorgio's.

Lovely lovely venue for a meal out. Downstairs restaurant, small but varied menu reasonable priced. Music and dancing nights too. Great parking right outside or carpark opposite.

It has a nice vibe. The service is good. The food is fine but not above the average hence 3 stars.

This was our first visit to Giorgio’s. Loved everything about it. Really liked the decor especially being in a cellar. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. But the food was amazing. The sauce with the prawn gambas was so good it should be bottled and sold 😀. Everything was really great. Thank you to all involved as it made a great family evening

Firstly I need to say I have been coming to Georgios or it’s previous iterations for 30+ years so this is not an impartial review ! Anyway, so pleased that George , Barbara and Barry have weathered the storm, literally in the case of last Julys rainfall. First meal since reopening tonight, cannot fault the food and service attentive as ever. New staff and so pleased to see that everyone has bought into the friendly Mediterranean taverna ethic. Well done all, can’t recommend this place enough and will be back soon N&H

Since newly opening up after being flooded, we tried it on Saturday. Well it was totally FAB lovely staff Barry front of house and Georgio behind bar and all his waitresses and the food was superb and very reasonably priced. Cant wait to go back very soon. Lovely cosy setting in cellar superb WELL DONE 5 STARS

Had a booking scheduled on a Friday - came out of our way especially to visit because of the high ratings and even received confirmation of our reservation beforehand. When we showed up the restaurant was closed. We were never emailed or called and given a heads up even though apparently the restaurant had been closed for 5 days. Very disappointed.

Really excellent Chicken Souvlaki. Attentive service and lovely atmosphere ... what more could you want !

Thank you so much to all the team at Giorgio's for making our wedding reception so special on Saturday 29th May 2021. After several delays to the big day due to covid we were relieved that we could finally celebrate and myself and my husband are so grateful to everything you did to make our day special. Everyone agreed the food was fantastic, the Mediterranean buffet was so tasty, plus a few requested extras of our favourite foods made it perfect. The whole place looked beautiful and we really appreciate all the effort George and the rest of the staff made in order to make our dream day come true, we can't thank you enough for all your hard work. Whether it's dinner or a party we cannot recommend Giorgio's enough, fantastic food, setting, staff and service! Plus covid safe and secure. Thank you again.

So happy to be back out for dinner, chose Giorgio’s as our first outing in a long time to celebrate our anniversary and I’m so glad we did. The staff were very nice, helpful and warming. The authentic home made food tasted great and was well priced. Look forward to go back very soon.

A hidden gem of a restaurant in Bishops Waltham. As close as you will get to the Mediterranean without going abroad. Have eaten here a several times and the food is always delicious. Highly recommended.

First time visiting this lovely little local restaurant. Starters of meze sharing platter and arancini were perfect, as were two pizza mains. Souvlaki was disappointing, small amount of chicken which was overcooked, however spoke to manager who was very understanding and did not charge for...
