Lovely food, reasonably priced. Very friendly service even though it was buzzing with phone orders and walk-in orders. Had to wait a while but on a sunny Saturday evening it’s to be expected I guess.

I visited this establishment recently and I must say it was the best fish and chips I've ever had. The cod was a nice large size and perfectly cooked and the chips were plenty and nice and tasty as well. I didn't mind waiting as it was all freshly cooked. I'm going back today to try the sea food platter. I'm happy to recommend D'Agostinis

I have been coming here since I was a child, recently moved to the other side of town and have tried closer chippies, none compared to here! It's worth a little drive for us to get the best in town.

D’Agostini’s is the best chip shop in the district of Folkestone & Hythe. Lovely staff who care and are always polite and smiling. No other comes close.

Saw a high rating for this place and thought we would give it a try wish I hadn't wasted my money here. Fish was average nothing special, chicken nuggets where dry and horrible ordered a cornish pasty got a sweaty meat and veg slice in a plastic wrapper chips where ok bit dry nothing special have no idea how this place is rated highly wont use again.

Food is always freshly made, huge portions and reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and helpful only down side is the wait time but that just shows how popular they are . I’ve been going here my whole life , my mum used to take me as a kid and now I take my own. Yummy treat.

We got a cod and chips and it was absolutely beautiful however the only let down for me (as a personal choice) were the chips... i prefer an nice chunky proper chip shop chip and here they were more fries which not only got cold very quickly when we got home and dished up, they weren't enjoyable. Overall I wouldn't come back Purley because of my preference of liking a chunky chip and not a friend like chip. But brilliant service and staff are polite and the shop itself is absolutely spotless!

The chippy we had planned to go to was 'temporarily closed', so we drove to this one instead. That was our good fortune. The fish, chips and mushy peas were all very good, and still very hot when we got them back to the house. Portions were generous too. We'll certainly be back when we are in the area again.

Best chippy in town. Whenever I’m back in Folkestone we have to get at least one takeaway from here. Super friendly family, great quality food, and excellent value for money. To maintain this level of excellence for so long (50 years and I’ve known it for 35 or so) is nothing short of remarkable.

Has been my go to chip shop for many years as always been exceptional, but recently I’ve found the quality of the chips has dropped. They seem to be more soggy and don’t hold their heat. Other food purchased has been as good as ever, especially the mushy peas, just a let down with chips. Not sure if there’s been some kind of recent change. Sadly, I’ll now question how much longer I maintain my custom.

A brilliant chip shop used a fair few times staff are lovely and friendly and the food is beautiful in here highly recommend, busy which is always a good sign fantastic. Mini cod and chips is more like a large cod and chips the chicken burger is lovely my daughter has told me, spring roll is lovely and the prawns was lovely as well, really good price not to expensive not to cheap. We had delicious food and this place which was prepared freshly and well worth waiting for! The owners were very friendly. The kids menues were absolutely sufficient for mine (11 and 13 years old) and I didn't manage to finish all of my chips. Thumbs up!!!

I work for Ocado. I was in Folkestone having finished my last delivery, called in and was told to take a break. I typed into a search engine, "best fish and chips in Folkestone "and was directed here. There were a lot of people waiting, which is always a good sign. The service was really friendly and I ordered a small cod and chips for £10, which is a lot cheaper than London. The food arrived and I have to say, the chips were delicious. Cut slightly thinner than usual (these didn't come from a bag pre cut) and took the salt and vinegar beautifully. The fish was different class to anything I've eaten in 20 years. Huge white flakes of FRESH cod, fried to perfection and just wonderful. I walked back in and told the staff how good it was. Don't waste your time or money going anywhere else in Folkestone based on a sea view. This is the best.

i found this chip shop from a recommendation on a coeliac website as our boy is a coeliac. i initially rang and spoke to the owners who were very informative of their strict processes to ensure no cross contamination of gluten free food. they were very patient in answering all my questions. we made an order a few days later and went into collect it. the food was delicious and it was a delight that our whole family could enjoy chip shop food knowing our boy was safe!

Well what can I say!! Being coeliac I really missed not being able to have a proper fish and chips…. Until today and I have finally discovered D’agostini’s. Learning that they have gluten free batter was a huge delight, as I was driving to pick it up, I though oh dam I’ve got not GF vinegar, needless to say I didn’t have to worry , they also have Gf vinegar. I can 100% say it was a wonderful dinner and will definitely be going back!!! Thank you D’agostini’s.

I’ve been a regular to this establishment for quite some time now and the food is always exceptional but lately we are finding the seasoning to be a bit ‘hit or miss’ shall we say. I shall probably request no seasoning going forward to avoid this situation and just do it to my preference at home, which is no bother. I just thought it might be worth the mention that sometimes it appears someone is extremely heavy handed with the salt and despite wanting vinegar, you’d think there wasn’t any. Today our chips were so heavily salted, it was coating chips amongst the portion very heavily. I like salt but not that much. Chips were wasted due to this and I hate food waste. I can however say that the food itself is always gorgeous and it’s our favourite in the area.

We were looking for gluten free fish and chips as our son has Celiac. D'Agostinis were brilliant. The staff were really helpful and welcoming and the food was delicious. The shop and kitchen area were also spotlessly clean. Would definatly recommend :)

Actually good food although fish was a bit overdone and chips could have been double fried. Somewhere in between harry ramsdens and rick steins but run by turks instead of a kitchen full of teenage kids. Prices were in line with all the above. They serve beer.

Great, traditional fish and chips on our recent trip. Said they couldn't deliver to us as we were too far away, but only took us 8 mins to drive for collection. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed what we had.

This is the best fish and chip shop in Folkestone. Just had a big order of fish chips sausage and extras. Everything always cooked fresh. It’s a must if you are in Folkestone. Staff always cheerful. 5 stars from us!!

I have eaten here a few times and had some very nice meals usually but I was disappointed with my food last night. I had hake and chips. The chips were plentiful as normal and were fine but the fish was very dry inside to the point of being pretty much inedible! This has made me doubt returning now, which is a shame ☹️

On holiday in England, we stopped off at this fish and ship shop and, even though as French people we're no experts, we enjoyed ourselves. The portions were generous and the welcome very cordial.

Wow What a great food and service! The portion sizes are massive! The Cod was beautiful no skin! Not greasy! It is a very tasty great quality filling food! Highly recommended!
