I was a visitor from Peterborough visiting family found this chippy from Google maps, we loved the food

Always good food and friendly staff here

I use this place every 3 weeks. A bit disappointed last time at least 3 people handled my pie to the extent I had to have another one heated up as the first one was leaking it's ingredients 😔 no one wears a protected hat or gloves 😔. No problem with the food though it's awesome

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. This was open until late, but the fish was just ok

I feel that the portions are smaller.

We all had the fish and chips and they were very good indeed. The chips were a cut above most that I have had before. Done partly skin on which was very tasty. The fish was good with a nice crispy batter. High quality and a decent portion. Not a cheap meal anymore but no more expensive that others in the area.

Excellent! best fish&chips I ever had. My toddler who is usually very picky enjoyed it as well. The shop keeper is also a very friendly kind guy.

Central Fish bar has been my local go too for 15 years+ love all the things I've tried so far.

I just got delivery from them I got a kebab and the meat in the middle is raw so not cooked what a joke now there shut

Just did a google search whilst in the area and this came up with good reviews. It’s in a slightly ropey area but the staff and service was great. The food was excellent and decent prices too. All in all a great chippy and would return.

Closed when it says here open!!! At 21:30 it’s closed

Emergency snack, but the battered cod was very good and the chips were fine. Also a very friendly service. The area is a bit rough though. Great for watching the teenage mums walking by.

Read the reviews and looked at the * ratings, absolutely disgusting food, full of grease, dry chicken tasted like it had been refried at least 3 times, only good thing was the gravy which I made myself, food was just warm as delivery driver called but was 2 streets away and took a further 10 minutes to deliver!!!! Avoid this disgrace of a takeaway !!!!!! Got 1* as had to give a rating but doesn't deserve any

This place has the best food Ever.The flavour that I get every time I order from here is just incredible.Never been disappointed.Chicken donner Wrap is just beautiful

By far the best fish and chips place in Folkestone! Very tasty, fresh and not soaked in oil. Also, you must try a fried Mars bar, game changing desert:)

The kebabs are great but it's next to impossible to get rare lamb! They seem to want to do it well done or not at all. Hence the reason i dropped it a star.

Been using these guys for years. Can't fault them. Love their burgers! Fish n chips is great too! Not a fan of their fried chicken but, most everything else they do is pretty good. Give them a try!

Solid chippy, the sausage is literally the best sausage I've ever had. Perfectly succulent inside and cripsy on the outside. Chips are also pretty crispy and thick. The guy behind the counter is also hella nice.

We found this place a little out of the centre of town and away from the crowds in the harbour area on a sunny day. We were absolutely starving after a long 5 mile walk visiting the local country park and we were looking for a decent fish and chip shop. This place didn't disappoint - it was great !! Really nice chips and fresh fish served in a handy cardboard box and nice, polite service. The mushy peas were decent too and good sized portions for a very fair price for a family of four. The boxes were handy for eating out of in the local park. Everyone was really happy with their meal - just what we wanted. Fully recommend this place as a take away.

Worst chips I have ever had....I think they must of been re cooked over and over... Chicken raw in middle.... Please avoid

Had a cracking chicken doner with chips last night, first time visiting this gem of a chip shop whilst working away. Generous portion and really quite nice, there were placed nearer to me but glad I went here, couldn't even finish it all 😁

We often get a takeaway with home delivery, the food is cooked beautiful and always piping hot.the staff are so friendly and accommodating, the chips are proper chunky and always fresh ,lamb or chicken shish kebab are to die for and if you like hot chilli sauce there's is the best I've ever had from a takeaway.There burgers are proper tasty can't recommend this takeaway highly enough, five stars from us

Friendly efficiency service for authentic fish chip shop chips

I started going here nearly twenty years ago, I don't go that often since I moved but it is a very good take away, been run by the same guy as long as I can remember! Always got deals after last train from London when he was closing, one year he even gave me a bottle of coke at Christmas because I couldn't get any from the shop! Support local business all the way!

Well to answer the question 'How was Central Fish Bar? Firstly it was open, YEY! after trying two more local, it was a last resort to drive to another town. They were friendly, fairly quick, with generous portions & reasonably priced. I felt a little uncomfortable that two guys were hanging around 'maskless' & weren't challenged, but would give it a go again.

The fish here is excellent, clearly fresh and perfectly cooked. Really large portions too, a 'small' portion of chips filled two dinner plates! Always takes a while though, expect a 10-20 minute wait.

Great place for fish and chips, kebabs, chicken,sausage and the best burger in town, trust me i have tried most of them, nice friendly staff , covid safe and great football chat, highly recommend.

The chips are great, freshly cooked everyone I have been there so takes a little longer but worth the wait. Free endly staff and a great variety of food available.

Quick service, really friendly staff, the chicken burger is the best in town - grilled chicken breast with a sauce of your choice and all the salad you could ask for and all this at a great price. Excellent value for money.

My goto takeaway in Folkestone. Does a great selection of fish & kebab shop fare. Quality has always been excellent and the place has an excellent local council hygiene rating (more than can be said for some others in the town). Staff are really friendly too. It is on the way back from town to the station so can get a bit busy just before the last train!

Sausages, chips, gravy, curry, pittas, cheesy chips and donner meat = happy family. Good honest food, tables outside, all good, thank you.

We have had haddock and chips from here twice recently. On both occasions the meals were delicious, cooked while we waited. The staff are very friendly. The place looked very clean. We shall return soon.

Oh my actual goodness. I have only ever had one thing from this place, but it is worth existing just for this alone! I have sampled heaven and the name of heaven is "Battered Mars Bar". You will not regret this delicious treat, but I very much doubt it is one of your 5 a day, so maybe go for a run before or after :)

These guys make very tasty kebab roll. Good location near the station so you can pop in on the way home from work. There is also some parking available in front of the shop.

It's the best place for fish and chips

This a great little gem of a find. We drive a round trip of 30 miles. To eat here at least 1 a week. The service is very good and staff very friendly. The food is value for money and portion are large. I would say "try it". You will not be disappointed. We love it.

It’s not the culinary creation of the year but it’s very simple and its hits the spot. Chips, salt, vinegar and melted cheese for £2.90 (Large £3.50 - but trust me, I got two portions out of the small) Yum, yum
