Horrible experience here. My wife has a dairy allergy and they served her a drink with dairy in it that wasn’t advertised on the menu. I reached out to them privately but their response was to tell me it was my fault for not asking for the allergy menu

Myself and couple of friends stopped here and took a table outside in the sunshine. The table was a bit sticky with old drinks and when I went up to the bar to order some drinks I asked her if she wouldn’t mind giving our table a clean as it was sticky. She actually did an audible sigh and tut. Like I was asking for something really difficult to do. I ordered a couple of cocktails ( 2 for £15) and a lager. They were in all honesty the worst cocktails I’ve had. Hardly any alcohol in them and very watery. We had a few sips and left. What with the attitude of the bar personnel and the cocktails we were served. I don’t think we will go back.

Been in the cow shed a view times and every time has been superb. The waiter in which me & friends were looked after by, was on point! Burgers are definitely a recommend as are absolutely delicious and a great price!

My wife and I had our very first date at the cow shed and today we got married and decided to have our reception here! We cannot describe how lovely the cow shed team were! They left us a card and put a banner on the window as well as letting our friends put some extra banners! It was the most lovely reception ever and again it could not have been this great if it weren’t for the lovely people that served us, took our orders and just made us feel so celebrated! Thank you so much!!!!!

For some reason my friend received two meals instead of one and the edamame beans were inedible as there was so many chilli flakes and they weren't cheap..the skin on fries are delicious but £5 for a tiny little pot is really extortionate. When I told the waiter the edamame beans were inedible when he came to collect the plates he just laughed and didn't offer something else free as an alternative. Or a sorry. Used to love the food here but it is too overpriced now sorry.

Loved it. Quirky, cool, great music and vibes. Friendly, smiley staff. And nice prompt, tasty food. Definitely going back next time we're in Worthing...

Sit outside and watch the world go by on the seafront

In the bar you will find a good selection of drinks and cocktails to choose from. However, I encountered an unhelpful member of the bar staff when I asked for shots to be served to our table and she refused to do so. The treatment we received was different from that of other customers.

Nice place to stop off for a beer right opposite the pier. Didn't try food but kitchen looked busy.

Good place to catch up with friends while watching the traffic go past

3 x 50th birthday celebrations here tonight. 5 star service , music was great and such a mix of ages and such a relaxed atmosphere Worth the drive, pretty sea front , would visit again...even more so if the cowshed gave blue light discount (wink wink) Many thanks cowshed staff .

Positives: ease of booking. Friendly young blonde waitress. Good chips. Negatives: pay at bar as you go, no tab even if you are eating - this wasn’t made clear on arrival leading to confusion. Hippy chick burger small, dry, flavourless. Sticky tables, tired decor. Disgusting toilets smelling of stale pee. Nicer places in Worthing to go, avoid this. I wouldn’t return & can’t recommend.

We've had drinks here before (the 2 cocktails for £15 deal is fab)...and today decided to try their food. There was a great lunch menu ,very reasonably priced and a main menu. Lots of vegetarian & vegan options on both menus. We had a pulled pork tacos and crispy cauliflower tacos from the lunch menu...both absolutely delicious and fresh tasting 😋. Highly recommended, will eat here again !!!!!

Lovely cocktails and a great place to spend a wet and windy night in July.

Went for lunch today the staff were really friendly and polite. The food quality was great we had the straight up hotdog and fries and the dirty dog which had pulled pork, bourbon sause, caramelised onions. I would definitely go back again and will be recommending to friends.

Came here on a visit to see the family expecting some nice quality time, however that was near impossible. I get that everyone needs to start working somewhere but a certain member of staff clearly hates working and serving people here. The young, blonde girl’s attitude stinks…quite literally. I never leave reviews but after the sheer level of nonchalance we experienced, I felt compelled to do so. Such a shame that our visit was ruined by a single person as apart from her, the atmosphere was lovely! Hopefully she takes the time to learn some manners and basic customer service before other customers feel like nuisances too. May visit again as i’m sure the more experienced staff can deliver better service next time.

Nice place for lunch or a snack, drinks and cocktails available. Situated handily just across from the seafront, outside seating also available weather permitting.

Some of their listed meat options could be made vegetarian which was a nice touch and gave much more choice than other establishments. We had the Facon dog and it was delicious! I think the sausage itself was maybe a tiny bit overdone, but the flavours were awesome. The chips were perfectly crispy, some of the nicest I've had to be honest and we left feeling rather impressed. The staff checked on us throughout our meal and service was quick despite being busier. We'd definitely go back.

Really liked it here. It was our first time and definitely wont be our last. We had drinks at lunch time then returned for a meal later the same day. The staff who served us both times were brilliant. The food was good too. Fair prices given the location and the level of service and food quality. There were a couple of loud customers during our 2nd visit, who did slightly spoil our meal (although there does always seems to be a selfish, loud person in every venue 😂) although this isnt the fault of the establishment, but the acoustics are pretty poor, but I assume its hard to control given the huge glazed frontage. Definitely a great place to drink and eat.

My uncle loved this place, so we came back to celebrate his passing and wasn't disappointed

Thank you for the Excellent service The Cow Shed Worthing which clearly came directly from Sophie's heart and not just because it is necessary. And the rest of the staff was lovely too! Sorry I can't remember everyone's names. The food was also good and the same quality as when I ate there a few years ago.

They did have more options last time but it was a very pleasant experience all the same 🙂

Always wanted to try this place, but never had any tables free (very clear as to why it's always busy). Incredible food, my partner and I had the El Toro burger and the halloumi starter. Both were so delicious, I highly recommend. The milkshake my partner had looked amazing. The man at the bar who made our cocktails was a literal cocktail artist, so much work went into everything and it was all perfect.

food was very good and portions were big, a little bit pricey hence the 4 stars.

Haven't eaten here yet but the mocktails are fantastic, the cocktails look just as good, and the excellent chillout music and the candles on each table create a great atmosphere.

I went here last week with my family and my experience was just awful and unwelcoming. I had a young blonde girl serve me and she was very rude and was not accommodating at all. Me and my family are very disappointed and we’ll not be coming here again. I if i could give 0 rating i would do as this place is ridiculous

We often visit, but the last few times the music has been awful. Finished drinks and gone. Didn't even finish drinks on new year!

Really friendly helpful staff, good vibes on a sunny day, decent kids menu reasonably priced. Only let down was the steak meal….overcooked, not nice onion rings, too sweet and runny coleslaw :(

Food itself was OK but nothing wow but the attitude of the guy at the bar was poor. My wife wanted a burger but doesn't like fries. No option to buy just the burger. Can we change fries to onion rings? No. I'm happy to pay the difference. Still no. He said it ate too much at their profit margin. Not sure how this affects their margin at all. So we ordered the over priced burger with the fries that we didn't want and additional portion of onion rings which when they arrived were very small , for £5.50 was a rip off. Wouldn't recommend eating here.

Not ate there so can't comment on the food although the food looks great. Cocktails are well made and the music they have on a loop is always great.

Food is good, but I do think it's very overpriced for what you get.

Too loud, wonky table, steak full of gristle, no steak knife and sat in the doorway! Not the best start to a night out. The staff were brilliant resolving our issues but that shouldn't be their issue - management sort yourselves out! 💜

all tasted fine but the blue cheese burger did not have any blue cheese in it.

Lovely place. Quiet enough for us to get a table, busy enough to have some atmosphere!

We went in for a quiet early evening drink. The covering on the chairs is peeling off, the tables aren't clean, but the staff are pleasant. A loud person came into the bar and from the way he was acting, possibly under the influence of alcohol or something else. He was served, went outside, harassed and assaulted a gentleman who was sitting at a table minding his own business. Nobody seemed phased, only two girls who went to speak with the bar staff and the poor guy's friend. Pedestrians had to walk around the broken glass outside but no-one attempted to go out and clean it up. Perhaps they did later but it was still there when we left.

Only had drinks but service was great. Amazing margarita! 👏

Was here about 2 weeks ago, what a really great place, as others say yes atmosphere and vibe are great, didn’t eat, just had drinks, they were fine and other food about looked good though. Staff friendly and helpful but one thing amiss - food hygiene rating sticker on window shows 5 when really the premesis is a 4. Naughty naughty!

I was so impressed with the customer service! We arrived 15mins before the kitchen closed and the lady serving had a big smile as we placed our food order. My mac and cheese was nice and my partner said his burger was cooked really well. The atmosphere, play list and decor was so chilled. A nice place to be.

In general the experience was fine, the staff members were nice, polite and very approachable. Restaurant clean inside, with nice decor and good vibe. The only led down was food, and bit drinks. Regular coke and diet Coke tasted the same, like was too much soda mixer. We ordered 2 mains and one kids meal. Mac and cheese was too plain and blend. My burger with pulled pork could have more taste too... kids burger same bit too plain. Presentation of the dishes on spot... Just this taste. Could of be better :)

I'm not sure I would recommend this venue. Food was medeoca. Drink expensive. Sorry, not for me.

We came for a drink but the music was played so loud we couldn't hear each other and left after one drink which we regretted having, it does feel that the staff turn it up for themselves especially as sister bar's/pub's don't have this problem, The staff aren't being paid to listen to music but too work We would prefer the music to be played as a background level so it's enjoyable but we can still hold a conversation

Very impressed with both the burgers and the cocktails on offer here. Very tasty all round!

Friendly service and nice atmosphere

A great place with a nice selection of meat and vegan burgers and nachos, right on the seafront. When we were there they were out of a few vegan options (seems to be very popular) but I really enjoyed their chickpea nachos.

Don't come here if you are hungry. We came hungry and and left half full. Waited over an hour for our food. McDonald's and burger king burgers are bigger for half the price.

Honestly, really nice place. Went out with a few colleagues after work for food and drinks and this menu caught our eye. I had a mocktail which was lovely and the sirloin loaded fries were to die for! I still think about them weeks later!

The Cow Shed is a must for cocktail lovers - I highly recommend the Honey Badger and Lilypad (pictured), made by the glorious Fred. A great evening spot 😊 whenever my mum comes to visit from Manchester, she loves coming here! I have also eaten here before, and it's always been hot and tasty. **One star marked off for atmosphere: The toilets are in need of a refurb but the venue knows about it (they popped a note on the toilet to make customers aware)**

This place has a great vibe but you may have to wait for your food sometimes a little longer but don't be disappointed as it will be worth it.

The chef Gabriel makes the best Burger in Worthing, I had El Diablo with a sweet chilli sauce made with Mango and Abanero Chilli and my wife the Pulled Pork Burger. Just Amazing. Thanks again Alessio

When this place first opened it was very nice, but after a recent visit we will not be eating there again. The whole place was filthy. The toilets were disgusting. Will definitely not be going again.

A great little place - we didn't eat but drinks were good. Not enough staff to cope with demand at the bar but staff did their best.

It is supposed to be a family place so if you see this place as one of them, it is alright. If you want to have a chat with someone there, try to avoid it!!! It is far too busy and noisy and when I say noisy, it is crazily noisy, I did not hear my own voice there. I am not going to visit that again, ever 🙄

My partner and I enjoyed our trip to the Cow Shed. Although the wait for the food took a while, when it arrived it was delicious. Friendly and helpful staff, good food and trendy setting.

God food, great location, friendly staff

First the dirt and grime issue, it was shocking how dirty the table we were on was, the floor, the bar area, the whole place was filthy, surface cleaning is all they seem to do here, if at all and the toilets have not been deep cleaned for a very long time by what I saw, I wish I'd taken my phone in to take photos, even the grout was filthy! Service staff were dismissive and rude, I agree with previous reviewers who said the same ( one server of food was nice) My friend waited for 20 minuets to order food, they ignored him to serve someone who arrived after and then took ages because they were focused on making drinks for others and when I went up they were trying to find a key to replace a till roll. ( there were 2 staff and 2 tills but they didn't want to use the other till it seemed) One left to go off to seek a key and the other decided to clean something in the sink rather than serve me! I was even spoken to rudely when I asked if I could make sure my food came the same time as my friend who ordered before me if I was to wait for the till but because she assumed I was asking for her to serve me right then so she repeated to me they were trying to find a key, but when I finished my sentence and she realised what I was asking, ironically, all of a sudden, she could serve me from the other till because she realised my food order needed to be served at the same time as my friends food- this should have been done in the first instance!! Now let's look at the price and food, the price is £15 for a buger and chips and £5 for a side but what a rip off for Iceland quality food! I happily pay for good handmade burgers and hand cut fries and i will say this looked great in presentation but the " skin on fries" are just oily shop bought chips with far too much frying, the burger tasted burnt, flavourless, no idea where the blue cheese was, and the lettuce was like cabbage ( I'm convinced it was !!) My friend said the chicken burger was equally bad and tasteless and he hardly ever complains about anything, we both felt sad we'd chosen to go there. The whole meal was over £22 each because I ordered £5 onion rings ( oily, basic mess of onions in over oiled batter.) I honestly would have gone to Mcdonalds and been happier! ( and that's How bad this was that McDonalds is better) how this place gets good reviews and a 5 star hygiene rating is beyond me, I'd never go again and I'd have asked for a refund but I'd have had to wait for service for half the evening!

First visit to The Cow Shed. Nice chilled vibe and decorated well with a great view of Worthing Pier. The front of the restaurant opens up so you can sit outside if the weather is good. I had the crab salad and was really surprised at the portion size. You get a generous amount of crab meat and a large salad, more than enough for lunch. Couldnt resist trying the cocktails. The Moscow Mule was very refreshing although I would have liked them to salt the rim of the glass when I ordered a Margaritta. All in all, good food, reasonable prices in a decent restaurant with fab views. Perfect for an afternoon people watching.
