Costa Coffee in Worthing

I've only given 2 stars because of the disgusting state of the toilet for the disabled. Can't blame it all on not being cleaned that morning ..(which it hadn't, see rota. My visit was at 1.00pm).. because most of the filth around the sink, taps and toilet has taken years to accumulate. My drink was very nice but I felt sick after I'd seen and smelt the w.c. If their toilet is like that how clean is the kitchen. I wish I could post the photos I took. You won't get me in there again.

Excellent environment, staff were top notch and very welcoming, the lady who served me was the definition of perfect hospitality.

Come here regularly. Always very friendly and polite staff. Lovely coffee as well. Would recommend paying a visit. Lovely to sit outside on sunny days, as close to the seafront and plenty of seating.

Came in today January 9th for drinks and lunch and the waitress Megan was very attentive and had a very warm welcoming smile a great credit to you're staff will definitely be back

A small, typical café from a popular chain. Good coffee, decent pastries. The service is fine. The interior is cozy, though a bit tight, with a nice outdoor seating area.

Coffee was OK, toast was under cooked and they only had the option of brown bread. Staff seemed a little stressed, maybe under staffed. Was served by a "batista in training" who was very polite and clearly trying his hardest!

Staff is always friendly, attentive and up keeping the place to the best of their ability. Always a pleasure to work from, cosy little place.

Ordered an iced cappuccino. Served in a small glass more milk than coffee and certainly no ice.

TESCO durrington Costa have a great team of friendly staff and I've consistently enjoyed the quality of their coffee..the barristers are good. Nice clean environment with plenty of seating..the food has improved across all Costas since joining forces with M&S

Excellent customer service. The staff there were very helpful with a blind couple who came in, went out of their way to sit them down and take their drinks over to them whilst also making sure they were ok

I visited on Saturday and, although the queues were out the door at times, the staff were really happy and friendly. The young girl who served me was especially cheery. Coffee and bacon baps were great as usual 😋

For some reason montaque st in Worthing branch is lacking somewhat in good baristas. I order a latte regular which was very very watery, tasteless in fact. Had to put 3 sugars in it. Where the Costa in Worthing hospital you only need one shot and one sugar for a lovely thicker smooth latte with a good taste. So is it watered down milk or cheap coffee

Had a lovely pot of tea shame it only equaled 1 1/2 cups

Had an Iced Coffee Latte but was all milk and no coffee, couldnt taste the coffee at all

An excellent corner to network, meet with friends and generally have a moment of peace. In a group or solitarily the experience is splendid to be around.

Great place, love the atmosphere there and staff are very helpful and friendly. Caramel Cappuccino is my new favourite drink, used to be caramel latte. I miss their ham and cheese Panini, but the ham and cheese toastie is still a good option. My 3 year old loved coming here as well. If you have a Costa card, every 8 drinks you will get rewarded with a free drink! If you're with Vodafone, watch out for your Very Me offers, there's frequently free drink offers there too.

Relaxing place to have a coffee

We are regulars here, and came with a German friend recently. His order wasn’t what he expected - although it had been made correctly and the team were more than willing to remake to an alternative for him. Always kind and always keen to solve a problem quickly. Thank you costa team. 👍

It's an ok establishment.. Really depends on what you want whether it's gonna be great.. Or absolutely disgusting.. Also depends on who the server is as some hand ya a cup of boiled milk with hardly any chocolate flavour in the hot choc, yet others sweeten it beyond belief and make it taste amazing... Overall it serves a general purpose, over priced food and what ya expect generally ya get.. No frills or fancies

Dan a great Barista reacted well in an emergency recently, considerately and calmly took control, dealt with the situation his actions are to be commended.

Very noisy with the staff shouting orders over each other and no thought given to design of cafe to offer a quieter place to sit. The general atmosphere of a busy McDonald’s not a cafe, I would certainly not recommend drinking in here, take away only. Most staff were friendly but it can feel a bit like you are on a bit of a conveyor belt and they want to push you through ASAP. Generally poor environment but reasonable coffee and food choice.

Visited here last week for coffee. Very pleasant staff, wiped down seats outside for us. I witnessed a staff member helping a blind couple in a very helpful and friendly manner. Toilets very clean. Coffee served perfectly and very quickly. Recommended.

Had lunch here on Sunday 5th sept 2021. Got a seat inside ok, plenty of seats outised but was too hot and sunny. Usual Costa drinks and food. The food was hot and tasted good and a good price as usually is. staff were very customer focussed

Went into your Costa in Worthing town and wasn’t overly impressed 4 members of staff and only one doing coffee and others just standing around doing nothing. Had no queue and I still had to wait 20mins for my coffee, then when I did get my coffee it wasn’t hot so asked for the manager and they said he’s on his break, asked for refund and they wouldn’t give me it. Absolutely fuming, definitely going back to broadwater as they at least know how I have my coffee and are more polite !!!

Hello, came into today for a quick drink, just want to say that service was amazing. Special shout out to Kelsey, the lady with short hair and the gentleman on shift. You were all so kind and caring towards people who were ignorant to the shields on the till and face masks. I felt safe and happy xxxx

Had a great coffee here but was sold just as they were closing. Tried to use the loos but was told no by manager who seemed hell bent on leaving before the other staff so left them to clean and put away tables. Less than sterling experience.

Great coffee, rather dull menu but edible. But slow. They seem to have two speeds in coffee shops in this country, slow and dead slow. You are unlikely to find s queue in a European coffee house.

I know people tend to slate the big chains but I don't care, I love it!Costa Coffee is perfect for me and I can't stop drinking it!well I can but you get me. I have recently switched to decaf for medical reasons and I can't tell the difference, its great.Staff always really efficient and attentive here, great coffee shop.

Sorry to say this but there is a certain member of staff taking customers points. I have never had a problem with any other member of staff apart from this one individual!..I now go to goring branch never a problem,but this morning went to the Worthing branch was served by this individual and yes no points. This was first noticed 7 months ago and been monitoring since just feel like something has to be said.

Went in with a group. Lots of staff all busy but not too long to be served. Cheerful staff and happy to oblige with some special needs. However, I ordered a classic lemonade. What a total rip off. £2.00 worth of ice, 65p of lemonade in a very small glass. Needed a serviette, a t-spoon and another cup for my client, waited at the counter to catch someone’s attention but to no avail. Come on costa, wake up and smell the coffee!!Not my choice of cafe, definitely won’t be going again. St Paul’s wins hands down!!

You can sit inside or outside, they do have a meal deal on for a limited time only on certain items £4.95

Just entered the new Worthing store in Montague Street. Lovely re-fit!! Staff very customer friendly and happy. Pleased to see they are vegan friendly too which is always a big bonus . Unlike other stores I've been into. Still need to have sunflower spread available though and not just dairy butter. But all in all, very good!!

I love coming here. The staff are welcoming and very friendly. Coffee always good. I love sitting outside and watching the world go by. I have been bereft during the (much needed) refurb...other places don’t compare!!My only complaint is the seagulls if eating outside, but that’s everywhere in Worthing!

AWESOME love the clolours and seating arrangement - allways feels friendly. good-looking bar and nice cakes... overall its fabulous this is the best cafe in town, go to it nearly everyday!

The place looks as though it could do with a good clean and a refurbishment (including the shabby toilets)!I know since Whitbread sold Costa’s the teacakes are smaller and not a good quality but I at least expect them to be toasted.....not the slightly warm effort I got. We also noticed a customer return two supposedly toasted sandwiches - they just look like warmed bread!Disgraceful value - we will not return.

I really love coming to this Costa as it always feels warm and welcoming and friendly. The reason I can’t give a higher rate than 3 is the midge/fly problem! I have reported it as have many others and we get told they know of it and it will be dealt with but they are still here and it makes me feel sick when I see them landing on peoples food and drinks. I can see they now wrap the cakes on show at the counter but we as customers get our food on open plates with no coverage.

Came here for a nice cup of coffee with a lovely cake. In the first place the tabels where all occupied but soon there was a nice tabel for us. Staff is friendly , toilets howevery can do with a fresh-up, although it was very busy at the time we where there.

Visited today small flies were everywhere collecting in cups left on tables. Spoke to manager who said they were aware of fly problem had already spent £1000 on it. They were also collecting in cake area too. Went to use the ladies toilet to find it filthy. Will not be using again

I met my friend and her daughter to hopefully have lunch here at 13:00pm but there was no sandwiches only cakes so sadly we had to go up the road to Starbucks. I will say the set out was nicer in Costa, Starbucks looks nice from outside but very poor inside like a hospital waiting room. Will try one more time to see that they offer when next in Broadwater. Chaps, get your stock control right please.

I had coffee in this Costa. In general I think their coffee is nice but I will avoid Worthing brunch! Mugs were dirty and on a top of it a member of staff made a comment insulting Christian religion!

Where do I start-looking for a coffee so headed towards Costa-confronted by an undesirable, dirty outside (shame as the sun is shining) so ventured in-staff dismissive, coffee was as normal, banana & pecan slice very dry (throughout). Floor covered in waste-doesn’t look as if a hoover has been there in a long time. Seats similar to floor asked for a sevette to clean seat. Won’t be returning here.

What more can you say other than a Costa Coffee, if you have not had one then you either don't like coffee or live on the moon. The coffee is always consistent even if it is not up to the quality of the smaller barista type coffee shops, space to sit outside in the sun but can't avoid the smokers unfortunately.

This was our first visit to this coffee shop and found it very busy and the service was slow. The restaurant was clean and tidy with ample seating inside and out. The staff seemed busy and had no time for customer niceties. The coffee was good which you would expect from all outlets.

Filthy outside, filthy inside and filthy loos. Unspeakably awful. Spoke to the manager but clearly understaffed and badly trained. Avoid if at possible.

we have been going to costas in worthing nearly every day for four years now. The sevice is very good as are the drinks. We have never had anything to complain about. Yesterday we met the new manager Lyudmila garner although we have known her as a barista before, she is very friendly and was making sure all the customers were ok. We think shes going to make a great asset to costas as a manager.

On Monday we went into our Costa coffee shop in Worthing Montague place for a decent coffee, they were very busy, ALL the staff were very friendly and were on the ball, clued up on what they had to do and what was on offer, one lady in particular, Lyudmile was great getting the orders out quick, always in contact with staff and customers. Great coffee, great friendly staff, great time.

Our new born wanted feeding while in town. We came in to costa to be greeted instantly my the manager who saw we had buggy etc and saw us straight to a suitable table. Coffee was great as always, baby got breast fed, mini muffins were very good and the manager gave my 3 year old daughter some popcorn just for coming over to say hello. Great service, thanks

Actually I’m sure that the manager should take the ultimate credit for the atmosphere. Friendly and upbeat it’s always a pleasure to drop by for a cup of tea and a sandwich.

This is a great place for coffee,lunch or a snack.Love the atmosphere.Very friendly staff & you can sit outside in the summer.They do really nice cups of coffee & an amazing salted caramel muffin.

I used to come here for my coffee a lot , but this month when I visited , it’s gone downhill . The staff are rude , the tables hadn’t been cleaned . I ordered a cappuccino and it was luke warm .

Always a busy place but the manager is always on the ball making sure that the tables are keeped clean and free to use. Very accessible and easy to get around and seating outside when it's warm enough. Good coffee a great way to start the day.

Met family here on a Saturday afternoon and the place was packed. Staff did a nice job of keeping the line moving although finding a seat was tricky. Good choice for a cuppa if yo are shopping in the town.

I do love a Costa coffee. Usually opt for a Skinny Latte and sometimes treat myself to a pastry or cake. Plenty of seating inside and out. Friendly and helpful staff.

Was away for a few days on Worthing. Visited Costa for our usual coffees but revisited as the manager had such an amazing customer service attitude and very personable. I observed him chat to each customer. Made space for people who wanted to sit in the sun. I hope costa value the him (Karim I believe was his name).

Had bacon rolls and coffee for breakfast before trotting off to brighton for the day. Only one member of staff serving to begin with but she was very efficient and polite . Lovely coffee....extra hot....bacon rolls were lovely. Set us up for a hard days shopping ☺

I love this local vibrant Costa Coffee. The manager is always cheerful, polite and very helpful. Staff are good too. I always pop in here to have a coffee as a treat and often use this as a meeting place for business meet ups.

We always pop in here and I don't think to review it but it is great. The manager is really funny and friendly and the staff are all lovely.

I try to pop in most days, usually late afternoon, and the staff are always cheerful and friendly, even after a hectic day.

Went to costa in worthing in march we don't know what happened to the female manager there was no eye contact at all when she served us did not speak and just put the coffee on the tray and walked away and spoke to other staff NOT THE WAY To RUN A SHOP

I recently popped in to get coffee and was quite shocked how rude the staff are, who spend there time talking in foreign languages. Did I feel welcome...NO, Did they make the coffee I asked for... NO. Couldnt take it back as it was a takeaway and was half way home.

I entertained two important friends with breakfast at Costa. The personal attention to our needs and requirements was faultless. We all had different snacks and coffees and this seemed to generate some additional gift items totally unbidden. I strongly recommend this coffee shop experience.

Being a loyal Costa coffee customer I have to say that the Worthing Costa seriously needs a good clean and new staff. Every time we visit this Costa we have an issue with the coffee and although they say if your not happy we will make it again they don't like you to return. The staff are rude and the customer service is zero. The shop is dirty food laying in the floor and chairs uncleared tables out of choice would not use this Costa one of the worst Costa stores we have ever used. Costa need to sort out the staff attitude and actually get a manager in the store who smiles for a change

Not a nice place & sadly typical of Cost. Get your timing wrong & you can't move for pushchairs & escaping to the outside tables leaves you in a smog of cigarette smoke.

Friday morning 20th January, having spent some time walking around Worthing on a chilly winter's morning, it was time for a warming cup of coffee. We saw the welcoming beacon, the Costa Coffee sign, so in we went.

I've always found the general serving and waiting staff to be helpful, smiling and friendly but twice this week I have been appalled at the way a supposed "manager" spoke to her staff. I can appreciate that new staff may need more training but surely she should not have spoken the way she did to an obviously new staff member - in front of customers! The poor girl was almost in tears! Had she spoken to me as she did to her staff I would have left immediately. The shop is always clean and shelves well stocked, staff obviously work hard in a busy environment. I too work in a retail management position and can assure her that this is no way to motivate her staff! I'd have sacked her on the spot!

Everyone knows Costa and this one lives up to their global standards. The location is slap bang in the middle of Worthing so ideal as a stop after some shopping before continuing with more. Can get busy but if the weather is good there is seating outside (and not just for smokers!!). Good opening hours too - early to late.

Coffee good. Cake good. Mess everywhere. No one clearing tables. Had to wipe the tables so we could sit in

I come here when I visit Worthing the coffee is great and however busy it is the staff are attentive and polite for a little treat the hot chocolate is fab.go and try and taste for yourself add in a cake as well

Just a very good place for coffee & cake after shopping in the town centre--on a good day sitting outside watching the world go by
