Costa in Worthing

Strange atmosphere almost non existent. Was served by friendly lad and then another woman joined the queue behind me and a young woman called emily came out from back almost appearing moody...took the order from the lady behind me with no politeness just blunt and rude then stropped off out of sight again leaving the lad to make the drinks and serve at the till too. She seemed irritated that she had to do something....although what she did was very little as tables needed clearing too. She created a strange atmosphere and even the lady behind me commented to me about this too. Large shop that seems understaffed and unclean but also not ever busy that I've seen so maybe that's why there's no atmosphere 🤔 unlike any other costa I've ever visited. Will stick to my usual one in town centre.

Coffee turned up and all 3 of them were split and spilt by the courier. Who then has poured the remaining over our garden. Please sort as soon as possible

Everything arrived hot and tasted great

Weird place, noatmosphere, cold, desolate and boring. Stupidly overpriced drinks and food, cold white chocolate drink, only wanted one but seems must have brought a few. Smallest piece of cake at high price. Overrated pretentious cafe, robbing the high street of decent small local cafes. Luckily i didnt pay was "treated" but never going there again.

Unfortunately we ordered and paid for 2 breakfast wraps but only one was delivered. Please could we have a redelivery or refund please. Thank you.

Reliable and free Wi-fi, and also free parking. It is a 1st floor so very bright. Friendly staff... Would recommend!

On the map, the driver went the wrong way unfortunately so when it arrived late, the toastie was cold and the Mocha was luke warm. The driver was lovely though but we are disappointed with food and drink.

Order was missing an item, no substitution and they left a note saying to request a refund for it

What a beautiful halloumi toast, with so many vegetables and cheese in it!!.. and that's why I had to go home and make another toast for myself..

Lovely team on this morning,12th April 2023 (Jabe, Jet and Alyssia I believe), the place was very clean and tidy and the atmosphere was great. The vibe was of an independent coffee shop and this is purely down to the staff I think! Special mention for Jabe who is always super friendly and chatty - all three are a credit to the Costa concession owner. The tea and tuna melt were pretty good too!

My decaf oat milk mocha had absolutely zero froth on the top, which us the best part usually. So disappointed.

I got the frappe this evening, the creams was tase horrible, I get coffee there usually, but every time I go there afternoon the cream is old they don’t change it from the morning, idk who are the stuff in there rn but it’s horrible

Asked for a coffee frappe WITHOUT CREAM it came with cream on which is not good when my daughter doesn't like cream. The receipt even states frappe without cream

Atmosphere as you would expect for a chain. Service generally OK but can be slow. I'd like to see the toilets kept better.

We stopped off here to have a look at the shops.It was very cold, so we called in for a hot chocolate and sausage roll. It was very nice.

I asked for extra hot. Skinny latte should only have had 1 shot. Cold on delivery. Nothing on the cup to say which was skinny. Neither had just 1 shot. The millionaire shortbread was put in the bag chocolate side next to what I presume were once hot coffees. Worst delivery ever. Complete waste of money

Both times ww have ordered it’s been on time or possibly slightly early but all good love my Costa coffee doing it at home just isn’t the same it arrives got as did the toasties we ordered

Broadwater Costa has to be my favourite cafe here, it's such a welcoming and safe place here ^_^ the staff are so friendly and i try my best not to visit everyday lol!

Rudest delivery driver ever! Went to the wrong address and tried to make it my problem, was swearing in the hallway.

Well this place is happy to be rude to women, my wife works for a delivery platform and was disrespected after waiting 25 minutes for an order, after she asked the staff how much longer it would be, the salon employee says to her to leave the store and wait outside, tell me Costa, is this the image you can show your customers??? Also you on-line customers doesn’t matter ??

I regularly frequent Costa in Broadwater and feel I have to give a 5* review. Some reviewers are quick to give a negative review but not so quick to give a positive review. The staff including the Manager are super friendly, always offer great customer service with friendly smiles all round, even when they appear rushed off their feet at peak hours or understaffed. The atmosphere is always pleasant and my coffee is always served hot and to my liking each time. I hope the lovely staff including the Manager at Costa Broadwater get the recognition for their hard work and great customer service. I recommend Costa Broadwater, especially if you want a friendly hot cup of coffee.

Always visit the broadwater branch as it’s always a lovely experience. The staff are always welcoming and engaging. Some of the best customer service you well ever receive! I was served by the store manager who even though looked very busy, took the time to ensure she gave excellent customer service herself. Very impressed and will definitely continue to visit in the future. 10/10 would recommend 😊

I cannot even begin to describe how absolutely disgusting and dreadful this place is, the workers do not have the first clue on how to make even a simple coffee, putting words in your mouth of what you have ‘ordered’ and charging way beyond extra for things for you haven’t even asked for. The older larger worker is the rudest most miserable person I have ever come across. It’s almost guaranteed your drink will be made incorrectly, and you will be grunted at for raising any concerns. They have used the wrong milk even after expressing allergy concerns. The place is also grotty and filthy. Please avoid this place at all costs, I will hope it is shut down very soon.

I would like a refund please of £6 for the millionaires shortbread

Absolutely appalling service, staff are rude don't even welcome you when they serve you. Tables filthy dirty and this was at 7.30 in the morning. Coffee was lukewarm, and the toast well it wasn't toast just warm bread. The man that was working didn't greet anyone the whole time I was in there (I was sitting at the table opposite the till), all he does is grunt, no interaction with the customers whatsoever. Won't be going back here

It would be good to be able to collect the beans for this delivery.

It was very busy and the staff where more interested in clearing than serving customer therefore a large que formed and customers where getting frustrated in the delays

The food was cold ordered a large capucinno got a small coffee with no froth or chocolate on it

The most awful cheese and ham toastie I have ever had. Hardly any filling, cheap processed bread. Coffee was ok. Air con on far too high so not comfortable to sit in.

Nice coffee but I noticed one of the servers had poor customer service. He made me feel like an inconvenience for ordering, as if I was boring him or had said something insulting. Whe all I had done was order coffee.

Always noisy and usually quite full.Helpfull and cheery staff who give excellent service.

Staff are always really friendly and serve lovely coffee! Also think the reward app is great!

Whoever the barista who worked this weekend is utterly rubbish lol. Normally love a coffee from here but whoever has been doing it this weekend is not good at all lol. Keep an eye on that lol. Overall love you guys though! Much love all!

Where do I start Coffee spilt everywhere so only half a cup Burnt toastie awful taste unable to eat do had to bin Sausage Bap missing but everything paid for. Will never use Costa again far better with Starbucks!!!

Slow service and closed at 4. Ashame cause pre COVID I went in all the time on a Tuesday. Staff need training in people skills

Missing items unhappy with order

delivery came, I opened the bag and there was no straw, my cheese and ham toastie packaging was open so it came freezing cold, and I also got stabbed by a staple that was holding the bag closed it also drew blood... disappointed.

Only issue I had was the delivery driver opened my bag and stole the free bean slip from me he definitely should be let go if he's dipping into people bags when they are supposed to be sealed till you open it at home

They didn’t have 2 of the items I wanted yet I could order them. When my food did turn up it was burnt. My drink did not come with syrup I had paid for plus no straw was given.

Service took way too long and the price was ridiculous.

Overall great service from baristas and delivery lady. 😊 Lovely people. Shame there are no biscotti available. No one’s fault. Would have been nice to be offered an alternative. Unfortunately, wasn’t, so that means going through the refund process. Was a little disappointed that there was no sauce to go with sausage bap. Still tasty though!

Ordered 2 coffees and 2 cakes - what turned up? 1 coffee and 2 cakes - how difficult is it to put 2 cups of coffee in a bag as per the order ! Won’t order again

Stopped off for a quick coffee, Cortado and a glass of milk. A few tables in the shop had trays on them. Also 3 out of the 4 tables outside needed clearing. As you can see from attached photo I sat outside and this needed clearing. I was here 15 min and they didn't get cleared in this time. Staff were friendly but possibly understaffed ( I only saw 2 of them) Coffee was made well yet the milk was disappointing as it was slightly warm where the jug had been sitting out of the fridge also only 2/3rd had been poured?? I would give them the benefit of doubt and come here again but only because they were friendly and polite.

One of my cups had a bite Mark on it so made the drink undrinkable and cup was only half full I also haven't received a slip with beans on for my past 15 orders now

Extremely late, only had our drinks delivered not food.

Some reason lately haven't been receiving the slip for my free beans for a free coffee happened the last 8 times now got nothing

2nd time its happened! Ordered hot chocolate for my little boy with marshmallows, again no marshmallow delivered!

Stuff missing from my order. Ordered hot chocolate with marshmallows and flake for my little one. The bits my kid was excited for was missing (marshmallow and flake) bad start of the day for me.
