The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

Used to be great pizza here but last few months it’s like they’re forgotten about the fact a pizza has cheese on it? Literally just got a pepperoni passion which has extra mozzarella but it’s like eating pepperoni on dough, and it’s been the same for awhile. So dull so no more domino’s for us, it’s too expensive to hope you’ll actually get more than a small sprinkle of cheese on.

Living in Glastonbury we are between wells and street with lots of Indian restaurants to choose from we have tried them all with mixed reviews .. Indian Ocean as it’s now called is always the most reliable .. would highly recommend them … very authentic Indian food every time

Absolutely amazing meal last night. Great value for money as part of their Wednesday/Sunday offer. Service was excellent from the friendly and helpful team. We will be back!

Usually have a take away always super tasty and hot , staff are really pleasant and when I thought my card payment hadn’t gone through and I did it again they kindly refunded me the payment , would always go to thus restaurant / take away

Awful never again Visiting Looe so we decided to give it a try , firstly the place is scruffy we were sat right outside the toilets the my Dad went to use them flush not working beer barrels stacked up in there , next to our table was some sort of storage place with a curtain held up with bits of gaffer tape the whole place needs revamped. Now the food madras curry sauce was like soup very watery tandoori chicken was small and a little undercooked in the middle, hard chips . Staff were not very welcoming constantly asking is everything ok just once is fine. The waiter brought our meals out and asked us do we want rabbit food with it IE salad very unprofessional. So in a word I would definitely not return the whole place was tired and dated scruffy staff need to practice some etiquette.

I thoroughly enjoyed the grilled Maharaja Burger for lunch. It is a distinct Indian take on the classic with the flavoursome onion bhaji and sauce. Would highly recommend it for lunch or dinner. Thank you Viceroy!

Great service. Food was great. Dolphy looked after us the whole night. Very attentive and friendly. Would definitely come back again!

We met for a bite to eat and had booked. It was quite slow to get to our table, but poppadoms and chutneys were nice. We waited for 1.5hrs for our food to arrive, which I think is beyond most people's expectations. Although very tasty, there were around 6-8 small chunks of chicken and the bowl was only half full. A rice portion we had planned to share looked really small. Bread was nice though. We ordered extra drinks, but sadly these never arrived. I would say it was busy but Saturday nights should be well staffed. Would I go again? Probably not.

So disappointed, I have ordered from these guys from a while. I have a massive problem with the quality of the chicken. Even to the point I would question whether it was chicken. I have ordered a takeaway recently and I'm seriously questioning whether to get it tested. Over priced and sincerely disappointed in its quality, so sad to report this.

Noyon what can I say food was average at best. Edible but not really bang for your buck. We got in around 7pm on a fairly quiet Friday and after sitting down could reasonably understand why. The decor was very out dated and the rug maybe should’ve been changed a while ago. Nonetheless I had a chicken dish and my wife wanted her lamb rogan Josh as she’d become a fan of it in recent times. My dish was swimming in oil and very bland and frankly tasteless but the naan bread that accompanied the meal added some sort of flavour. My wife’s meal I’m afraid was far from impressive and may have deterred her from ordering another rogan Josh again. The lamb had a god awful smell and when the waiter had come to our table and observed the smell himself he immediately took it straight back into the kitchen. Credit to the waiter he hasn’t a clue what the chef had cooked and cut it off our bill while also given us the drinks we’d ordered on the house. It was a nice gesture but unfortunately I don’t think we’ll ever return there again.

We’ve visited Mohshina’s many times, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently delicious, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. Whether we go for our usual favourites or try something new, every dish has been spot on. Highly recommend - perfect for a midweek meal or a weekend treat

Always good portioned freshly cooked and very tasty food served by experienced staff. Been Co in here with my son for over ten years and it has never failed to disappoint.Best Indian in Luton by far

Came here for a dinner with work colleagues on a week night. Very tasty food and great service. Nice decor. Reasonable price, perhaps a bit on the high side.
