Friendly welcome, quick service throughout but not rushed, food was ready in good time too. Food was really good; hot and very tasty.

We came here with our in laws and children for a nice family meal out and it didn't disappoint! Service was fantastic from the second we walked in to the moment we left. All the staff were so good with the children and helping recommend dishes for them. We have such picky eaters but they demolished everything!!! All food was fresh, tasty and arrived quickly! Will definitely come again! 😊

As usual we had a fantastic meal here with amazing food and brilliant service. I would highly recommend the Chicken Sagwala as the combination of flavours and tenderness of the chicken was cooked to perfection.

I went with my cousin/lover for a raunchy night out to reconnect and rediscover our lost desires, your vindaloo was extremely efficient at cleansing my insides whilst leaving a nasty trail but that's curry for you eh! then the glocktopus entered me with his ten tentacles fondling my sweet honey balls. All in all the food was spectacular with the punjabi mc doing an open mic and karaoke my favourite song eligible. the chills shivered down my spine as Vikstar123 slowly caressed my cascaded chest hair with his lightly crusted, curry sanded hands. And let me not forget the value returned from my purchase of the mumbai mega pack, the savoury bull waste in unison with the UTI particles in my water sure left a hefty wad of enjoyment as Manjina treated me to a leg wax under the table with the most tremendous technique in all the land. Called in for a takeaway and it was excellent, can’t knock it, will certainly return and try something completely different, service was very good and I felt very welcome,

Best Indian for miles around. If you want great tasting Indian food in a really nice atmosphere with world class service then this is the place to come

We visited on a Wednesday for banquet night. The food was of an excellent quality and there was a great choice of dishes on offer. 2 excellent starters, 2 mains, 1 side, 1 naan and a rice. Drinks were reasonably priced. We really enjoyed our meal and took a portion home as well in a doggy bag. Thoroughly recommended.

Another excellent takeaway from the Voujon team in Long Buckby. Our meals, chicken tikka jalfrezi and garlic chilli chicken, were tasty, fresh and delicious. Highly recommended.

What a great evening. We came here last year and had a great evening and finally managed to fit in a return visit. Friendly staff, delicious food and they were happy to give us a tub to take home the leftovers from the ample portions. Great value with he Wednesday evening ‘meal deal’. We won’t leave it a long next time before returning.

A warm and friendly welcome, and great service - attentive but not overly so. Food was excellent - fresh, tasty, delicately flavoured - recommend the chicken chaat, the tandoori prawns, and the special rogan, but even the 'basic' rice and naan were done well. After many years of visiting the Voujon most weeks I can thoroughly recommend it. I have never had a disappointing experience. The staff are friendly and efficient, the food is great.

Really great local curry place, worth a trip. Large selection of familiar old favourites, lesser known and chef’s specials. We have never been disappointed - always delicious.

Absolutely awful, my wife had a tandoori mixed grill starter, there was a piece of lamb that was so dried up and overcooked she couldn't put a fork in, the shammie kebab resembled a burnt shrivelled up sausage. The man bread was raw, don't bother with this place

Have used this restaurant before and had no complaints but obviously tonight wasn’t worth their effort only being an order for £15!!!!!Ordered online and was an hour wait and then called twice to chase order! Was lied to as said it would be another 20 mins! 40 mins later still no food!Rang to cancel order and told to do PayPal refund myself.....no sorry nothing! Just lost yourself a customer!!!

Wow !!! what a meal good selection , order what you like at a fixed price that's banquet night. The staff are so friendly we have been coming here for years,no problems.

We ordered a meal for two, but with enough food for another meal thefollowing night. We had it delivered even though the restaurant iswithin a short walking distance.The delivery was contactless, and almost exactly at the quoted time,with the food placed on the doorstep, the bell rung, and the deliverydriver then standing well beyond the two metre regulated distance.We have eaten at the Voujon several times before, and always enjoyed thefood, but this seemed, somehow, even better. We were well pleased withboth the immediate meal and the one on the following night.

Tried Voujon for the first time tonight! We had read brilliant reviews and that they have awards so were expecting a lovely experience. Staff were very abrupt and not very welcoming. Didn’t see a single smile (no masks either!) or hear a friendly voice from any staff member through the whole visit. No customer service whatsoever.Waiter would not let us order chicken cake starter, as in his words “it’s not nice”. Other starters were tasty however on the small side. Mains were ok, small portions. Took a long time to arrive. Chicken passandra had a strange taste, almost like chemicals. Chicken tikka masala was a different taste to any tikka masala I have ever tried before, odd and no spice whatsoever! No one checked if we were happy with the food and seemed to avoid eye contact! Don’t bother with nan bread, all as thin as the poppadoms and burnt to a crisp! Peshwari nan has no filling. Cheese and garlic nan had no taste or cheese, managed to get a replacement which was slightly better but not much, with the waiter saying “it’s because there’s a lot of nan bread in the oven”. Took ages to ask for the billNext time we will stick to our usual Asia in Daventry! Much better service and food!

Great food, and service was fine. The gotcha for us was that the portions seemed small. There were 4 of us, hungry after a days walking, and despite ordering 8x poppodums, 3x rice, 4x naan, 4x mains, we had to ask for another mains, as there wasn't enough to go round.

We have now had three home deliveries during Lockdown and each one has been extremely good.Ordering on line is very easy and when you submit the order you are given an estimated delivery time. On each occasion the delivery has arrived within a few minutes of the stated time.Delivery itself is fully contactless with staff wearing masks and gloves. The food is very well packed and is at a reasonable temperature - if necessary it could be easily reheated but we have not needed to do so.The portion sizes are generous and the food is very well prepared, easily up to the normal restaurant standard.The fact that we have used this restaurant several times speaks for itself and we highly recommend it.

I visit the Voujon in Long Buckby most weeks, sometimes twice a week. The food is of an excellent standard, the staff are friendly and helpful. It is a great place for individuals, families and friends.

I use this restaurant on a regular basis. Great service and very friendly staff. The food is always cooked to a high standard and this probably the Indian cuisine for miles around.

Great experience as always. Food was great and were made to feel very welcome even with my little grandson they are very child friendly and nothing was too much trouble. My husband always goes for the lamb jalfreizi which he says is the best around !!

There are many great things about Voujon from the welcome through the friendly unhurried service (even though it was a busy Saturday night) through a good selection of wine that complement the food. But we go for the great curries. Mixing up the old favourites with the chefs specials make for a fusion of flavours.All in all, a great evening, great food and drink and excellent service.Excellent value night out

You must have lamb jalfrezi it’s absolutely fantastic if your a lamb lover they will even give you extra lamb You must go you will not be disappointed

We have eaten my times at the Voujon (and regularly have takeaways delivered), we went last night and the food was amazing! It was a busy Saturday night, the service was excellent and the food was excellent! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough....I wouldn't go anywhere for an outstanding Indian meal!!

Came with my friends on New Year’s Day the food was very nice and the atmosphere was great will defiantly be returning!

A recent visit by our local DUCKS Curry Club rated Voujon as exceptionally good. Some really interesting dishes were served as part of a tasting menu, best summarised as wonderful food with excellent, friendly service.

So very lucky to have this wonderful restaurant as our local. We have eaten here for nearly 15 years and the food has been consistently brilliant, even for a fussy vegetarian. The staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. They pay attention to the little details that make a real difference to a meal out. We love eating here and would highly recommend it. 5 stars from us.

Me and my partner was heading home via Long Buckby and fancied a ruby murry . I hadnt been the Voujon for years so we gave it a go. Walked in and was warmly greeted and sat at a table straight away and promptly ordered . The food was really good and a fantastic range of indian cuisne resonable portions also . They made some off the menu breads for my partner which was a nice touch ! This place is worth a try we will return ..

We visited on a Saturday night with friends who live in Long Buckby. It was not to busy and the service from start to finish was excellent. Drinks orders taken and brought quickly as were pomerdoms . Starters were great onion bajey not to greasey and good size . Main courses were great would recommend lamb balti plenty of lamb with rice . Garlic narm was also very good .

Ordered and the food came very quickly which was good. Driver was nice and polite. Food wasn't great at all, no flavour in the Tawa dish, nor spice. Chicken was dry and chewy! Considering the price, I was very disappointed and wont be ordering again unless its much improved.

Food is now very average with what we thought were small portions for an Indian restaurant. I remember the place being much better a few years ago, the food now is pretty bland and boring. Pity the town needs a good Indian restaurant. unfortunately this isn't it.

Had a delivery and it was gorgeous! My friend who I work with in Milton Keynes!!! recommended this place and I would say it deserves all the awards it’s won! Lovely food and reasonably priced! We even got free sauces and popadoms! Yum!

Popped in after watching Saints lose rugby to Gloucester, with friends, we all went for mains only, brill service, clean and bright, the best thing about the food was how good quality it was, no oil. Recommend Tandoori Chicken!! LUSH

Just visited the restaurant. I can see why the service can be perceived as brusque, but we quite liked it. Also, the food was spot on, a good depth of flavour and well presented. A good price, as well.

This is one of the best Indian restaurants in the area. The food is always fabulous. We have been going here for over 15 years and have never been disappointed. The decor is lovely and all the staff are extremely polite.

This is a lovely place which has just won another award for the quality of its food. The menu has something for everyone and the presentation and taste is excellent.

Went here for dinner last Saturday evening, us two, our 2 friends and their little grandson. Unfortunately they don't have a childrens menu, so he had some of our friend's meal, plus a plate of chips, which he seemed to enjoy. Our (all 4 grownups) meals were excellent, good portions, although I think I could have done with a bit more meat and not quite so much sauce in my Lamb Pathia (but it was delicious). We just had pappadums for starters, and then went straight to the main course. Interestingly, my husband and I walked in first, and we were shown to one table, and when our friends came in behind us, we were shown to one of the round tables in the "booths". Don't quite know what that was all about! But our friends go there regularly, so that's possibly why. Once settled at our table, we were given menus, and quick as a flash, they were asking what we would like to drink. No alcohol (we were driving!) so it was only a bottle of sparkling mineral water and then a jug of chilled tap water. Then it took ages for them to come and take our food order - my husband had to grab a passing waiter and ask for our orders to be taken. The service was dreadful that night - yes, it was pretty full, but they seemed to be more concerned about fulfilling their takeaway orders and not paying much attention to the eat-in diners - which really irritated my husband and I - we sometimes get that in our local curry house, and we didn't really expect it in this one! They seemed to be a bit short-staffed that evening. The waiter who brought our main course almost threw the dishes at us - granted the round tables don't make it easy to serve "elegantly", but I sort of got the feeling that it was all very hurried! Yes - the food was excellent, but the service wasn't good at all!

Ordered a takeout on a busy Saturday evening for 4 of us. 30 minute or so wait for pick-up was no problem as we were coming from Ravensthorpe.

We had a wonderful meal in the Voujon,it was hot, tasty and very well cooked.The service was excellent and couldn't be faulted at all, I would highly recommend a visit to the Voujon!

Ended up in Long Buckby after an afternoon's walk in the area and tried to get in at the other Indian in this town but not having a booking we were declined. So this was our second choice and fortunately they had a table.

The bank holiday had closed a few of my normal takeaways and I am pleased it did. A quick search found this amazing place. Their online menu leaves a lot to be desired but they said it was being worked on. They have such an extensive selection can you pretty much as for whatever you want and they can make it. 30 minutes to make it seemed long for a takeaway but it was fresh. Slight delay collecting but less than 10 minutes. Also got 30% off for collecting which was a nice surprise. Brilliant food, great prices, will go back soon. Only thing lacking was better online system and quicker service.

Went based on reviews and ok from bnb landlady. Service was good if maybe a bit chaotic but food came quickly. Parking around is easy and place located centrally. Restaurant clean and nice decor. Food was good, hot and tasty and prices around norm. Give it a try as i would say this place is above average and id return for sure

Have been going to the Voujon for years and never had a bad experience. The staff are always excellent and welcoming and the flavours in the food are delicious. Be sure to visit on Banquet night to get the best deal!

We had two meals here during a weeks stay in the village, reasonably good dishes but one described as medium was in fact fairly hot, the meat samosas were a bit disappointing. The decor is old fashioned and there is no real atmosphere you could have been eating in an office.The service after the initial warm greeting fell away to a poor level, an average dining experience.

Have had several take aways from here and the quality is always very good. Would definitely recommend.

I have been going to the Voujon for over 12 years now - I have never had a bad dinner it has always been excellent! Imran and his team are superb and the service has always been first class - I wouldn't go anywhere else!!

Terrible. Not Indian food, just overpriced microwave meals that take an absolute age to be delivered. Go to the village garden instead, trust me...

We ordered a takeaway and it took an hour and 40 mins to arrive, despite being told it would be delivered within the hour or ordering. We called just after the hour and they said another ten mins, we then waited for 40 mins for it to arrive!

Fantastic food every time and excellent service as always! They also offer a delivery service which is very useful to have.

Although the food was nice the restaurant was very cold and we had sit with our coats on. No music and it lacked atmosphere. Staff seemed in interested in serving us. The food was nice however.

Had a take away.. the tikka masala was tasty but did not taste of tikka masala at all just a sweet fruity sauce, the passanda tasted mainly of water -i have never tasted anything like it, was a thick ish sauce but tasted of nothing at all?! Chicken was incrdibly tough.. Garlic rice.. lumps of raw garlic and I'm a massive garlic fan. However the peshwari naan was delicious!

We enjoyed our meal which was well cooked and served in a timely way. The server did eventually smile, which was good! All in all, very pleased with what was my wife's birthday meal. I have to say, though, £4.20 for a bottle of still water?

Media hora más tarde nos llámales y que han olvidado traer el orden. Les pido que lo trae gratis y luego se olvidaron el arroz. No voy a ellos de nuevo.

He estado en este restaurante antes, pero no estoy seguro de si he hecho una revisión. Este es en un pequeño pueblo de aproximadamente 6 millas de Daventry. El restaurante está bien distribuido y el personal es muy amable.

Pésimo servicio de la Voujon esta noche. He utilizado el restaurante durante muchos años, pero esta noche nuestro recogido llevar orden estaba equivocada. Entonces, como no podían entregar las correcciones, fuimos a recoger y aún la orden estaba equivocada. Pedimos 3 massalas recibidas 3 tikka tikkas y volvía a recoger la versión corregida y sólo terminó con 2 massalas de pollo. Muy malo, no el típico estándar. Decepcionados y estafados!

Fuimos para el banquete del miércoles por la noche y no nos decepcionó, la comida era muy buena y el servicio como siempre fue rápido y servicial aconsejándonos como a la elección a su gusto. Lo recomiendo altamente.

Simplemente no te molestes. No es el hecho de que la comida es muy muy tarde, pero al estar en el teléfono hartamos porque sólo dos veces para encontrar el conductor acababa de mitad izquierda anhour después de que había dicho que él es en su camino y serán de 10 minutos. 2 horas es demasiado tiempo para esperar

Fuimos con la familia para una comida. La comida era buena y el lugar tenía una agradable sensación. El personal era un poco arrogante y hosco, pero eso no impidió tener un buen tiempo o disfrutar de la comida. El personal podría ser más atento y prestar atención a los detalles más finos.

Truly awful experience at this restaurant which we have not visited for some years due to repeated bad service. We gave it a try as we had heard good things recently but tonights meal just confirms that the decision we originally made was the correct one.The food was not as good as the other Indian in the Village Spice and the waiter was straight out of Fawlty Towers. No smiles or small talk, he gave all the plates to one of our party to hand out and then at the end of the meal just waggled his fingers and pointed at the plates for us to hand them back to him. We did mention the exceptionally poor service to another waiter only to be told that the first one needed rest been working since lunch time. Maybe that excuse would be valid at the end of the night but this was 6pm!The second waiter was very friendly but I am afraid that we will not be defecting again and will continue to give the Village Spice our trade.

We dine here often and have takeaways more than we should!The staff are always welcoming and happy to see us and the food is always very tasty and well presented. Somebody said that the staff were ill mannered but I really think their wires were crossed somewhere, we have been going here for over 10 years and I would never say that. Some of them do not speak perfect English so maybe a language barrier made them feel this way but you know they are just there to serve food not entertain people. I like the no frill service, they are not coming to your table asking you if your food is OK the second you have put it into your mouth etc, they just let you get on with it. The restaurant is always warm and friendly, packed on the weekends too. its great for families and they are fine with small children. if you dont see anything on the menu that you like but have a certain idea they are happy to knock you something up...hows that for great service?

The blinds were down. The lights were dim. Maybe to mask the poor quality of the food. The waiter clearly didn't care about customer experience and was miserable as sin. My salmon tikka was actually chicken when it came out. Once the right food was delivered it was dry and just a couple of little lumps on a large plate. Chilli paneer was tasteless dry and rubbery and smothered in onions. None of the food had any flavour. We were there early in the evening and the lacklustre staff hadn't bothered to check the toilets. No toilet paper. Shame as this used to be our favourite restaurant. Will go to Village Spice next time.

Unless they have a clearout of waiting staff then this sinking ship will be sunk as they have a tangible disdain for the customer, I have seen it before, if you have staff with a bad attitude then the business closes weeks or months later, next thing you know there is an "Under new management" sign outside in the hope that it may be saved. Observe how the other LB curry house is always busy while the Voujon is always quiet.

Arrived and asked for a table for two, shortly before 9pm on Saturday evening of the bank holiday weekend. A few tables were occupied (maybe six) and there were at least five front of house staff around.No smiles or welcome as we were shown to a table and asked what we wanted to drink (no information or assistance with selection either).Drinks arrived and we then spent the next 10-15 minutes trying to attract some attention. Not only were we not asked if we would like any poppadoms, we hadn't even been given a menu. After being pointedly ignored for long enough, we concluded that we were really not wanted there, so stood up and left. Said a polite good night on the way out and even then the totally disengaged staff could not muster sufficient interest to say anything. I don't like using trip advisor for negative reviews and I had heard good things about this restaurant (and eaten here and in others owned by the same people years ago) so I was not just disappointed but also very surprised. Sadly, my conclusion has to be that this restaurant does not deserve customers and I will not return. We walked to the competition (the Village Spice) just down the road where we had a nice meal and a warm welcome. If you're considering eating here I suggest you cut out the awkward part of the experience and go straight to the Village Spice.

Was down here on a business trip and popped in for an evening meal. I have to say the service was prompt and efficient, the food was very good quality and piping hot. However, I don't think our server smiled once. I'd ordered one of the milder dishes on the menu but asked for the strength to be increased to medium. It arrived perfectly cooked but still very mild. To be fair my other half ordered a medium/hot rogan josh style dish and that was also very mild. Would definitely visit again if in the area, due to the quality of food and efficient service but spice it up a bit and smile!

A family favorite for a good many years. Quick service, they rarely mess up. Good value for money. Calm setting, helpful staff.

I used to live in Long Buckby and ate here a couple of times, I found it ok but nothing special, food again was ok and the service was ok. I don't go now as I have found one I much prefer.

Our evening was ruined due to the staffs inability to control a family with a very naughty child, he was running around between the tables screaming and shouting, we spoke to the staff on several occasion they were unable to deal with this, my comment to them was if it was a drunk making so much noise and being anti social they would be asked to leave, sorry voujon won't be visiting you again! £35 wasted!! Would have been quieter and more sohisicated in mc Donald's

We decided to try a different Indian takeaway in case we were missing a trick and regretted it massively. The sauces were watery, some of the food colouring was truly ghastly, the grilled meats were dry, the Pathia was spiceless, the poppadoms were actually burnt, the pilau rice was boring boiled rice with a few grains stained with yet more colouring and nobody managed to finish their meals. Never again.

Visited last Wednesday. Had a table booked and was shown there straight away and then was ignored for 15 mins. Had to eventually ask a waiter for drinks which took 10 mins to come. Was then asked if we wanted poppadons. It then took another 15 mins before they took our order. When the food came it was awful. Although each meal was a different colour all the dishes were very bland with no taste. Definitely would not go back.

I have eaten many times at The Voujon in Wellingborough, and assured my wife that the quality would be worth waiting for. We ordered from Long Buckby and it was very poor. My wife's tasted bland, as though it was watered down with milk. Mine was very greasy and, again, quite bland. I won't be giving it another chance.

Went on a Wednesday for the 'banquet meal deal'.The food choice was superb, the service friendly, drinks reasonably priced and the food was delicious, representing superb value for money. We will be back.

We eat here regularly and never look at a menu. We leave it to Imran and the chef to decide what we're having, and are always pleased with what we get. We often use the restaurant for family and friends outings, and any friends that visit from elsewhere usually enjoy the food. We tend to share our meals so we can all have a taste of everything, and this works really well.If you fancy trying something different, then ask the waiter for suggestions. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and we enjoy our evening out.

The family took 2 visiting Canadian friends to the Voujon for their first ever Indian meal. We all had a great time with great food and great staff. The food ranged from mild for our "first-timers" to nicely hot for the veteran !!! We had a spread of meat, veggies, bread and rices and all were lovely. We will be going back again soon.
