Was lucky enough to have a curry bought for me from Eastern Spice (so could be worth bearing in mind there could be a no-cost bias through out). I was perfectly happy with my curry, naan and onion bahji were a great accompaniment. If I was in the area I would gladly get a takeaway from Eastern Spice

Actualmente no recomendaría

Excelente comida india auténtica con camareros atentos. Lo recomendaría encarecidamente plus en una ubicación muy agradable con vistas al paseo marítimo de Brighton.

Very poor. I ordered samosa starter, king prawn curry and rice and tandoori roti. Samosas were very small made of filo pastry. Not genuine. Roti was cold and dry. No offer of chutney or sauces with the samosa or mains. My wife ordered Saag paneer and paratha. The saag had no paneer. It had cheddar cheese instead. The paratha was undercooked. We insisted on and got a partial refund due to the saag paneer farce. The absolute minimum of service they could get away with. Advertising one thing on the menu and delivering something different without any explanation until challenged. These people cannot be trusted

In these difficult times we thought we would treat ourselves to a takeaway. We had been told that the Lal Bagh was very good but as we didn't know the town too well we asked a local where it was. They told us that Lal Bagh was a bit of a walk from where we had parked and that the Indian Village was just around the corner and they said it was also good, sadly the meal was very disappointing. The mains and the rice were far too salty to a point where you could barely taste the flavours, both the mains were very thin, very similar base and taste. On a plus side the chicken pieces, although small, were of good quality. Considering it was £34 for two mains, two rice and one nan bread, they hadn't even included a couple of complimentary poppadums' or salad, which we always receive in all the 'other' Indian restaurants we use. Sadly we won't be returning but will definitely try Lal Bagh next time.

Another beautiful meal at Sammy's last night! We’ve have been coming here for years. The staff are always friendly & the food is always fresh & delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a lovely meal or takeaway! ⭐ it’s bring your own alcohol too so you can bring your favourite bottle 🍻 The fish masala & lamb tikka are amazing!

Takeaway used ordered and collected in person. Not sure what’s happened as I have had good meals from here before, however both curries were tasteless. Naan bread ok. Not cheap £25! I wasn’t sure about the state of the building either quite a bit of repair needed, including a bucket on the floor for leaks! Staff friendly. Not recommended.

Sadly, this place that my wife and I have been going for many years has now closed permanently. We are so sorry to see it go - we have had many excellent meals there and enjoyed talking to the friendly staff, Amin in particular. Good luck to all who worked there in whatever comes next
