Marhaba in Leicester

Worst place to eat steak. The steak they presented was stinky. Probably the steak meat was rotten/bad/expired/(in worst case)Harram. We were so hungry and it was late at night so we ignored the rotten smell which we noticed from the beginning when the steak was presented. But the smell got worse. Even we felt vomiting. We called the female waiter. Despite clearly feeling smelly steak, she denied and said the steak is fine. The cook realised that the steak is stinky/smelly. He acknowledged our claim and politely said, it may from the bone part. Seriously!!! We did not want to create drama late at night. So we left our meal and paid. The cook offered discounted price fir the steak! Seriously!!! NEVER EVER GO THERE! NOT RECOMMEND!

Usually pretty quiet compared to others on Evington Road but that doesn't seem to be because of the food quality. Kebabs and Donner well portioned and good value. Will be trying out the steaks for sure.

Discovered these guys at halal food festival - although pricing was very high for what they were selling, £12 a serving, the food itself was very tasty. Special donner was amazing.

Hugely upsetting food, ordered chicken steak and gave me tenders without specifying, they say its easier to chew but infact i was just paying for grilled tenders and fries which costs much less. Tbone steak was good but peppercorn sauce was cheaply made, with bits of cornstarch visible meaning that they make it from a powder. Flavours in chicken bowl were dead, put some cheap £1 chilli sauce over chicken and chips and called it a day. The fresh drinks were the worst. Avoid this place at all costs to save your money. Staff was also a bit rude with attitude. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Today we had a meal and the food was extremely delicious. The bathroom was so clean and had amazing service.

Ordered a Ribeye Steak and marhaba signature pulled beef (shredded pulled beef from brisket) Each meal comes with chips and a choice of pasta or rice also a choice of sauce All on a sizzler palate The pulled beef had decent taste and the steak lacked flavour truth be told, also wasn't to keen on the so called homemade peppercorn sauce which was poured on top of both meals, tasted abit like yoghurt Remember like I always say everyones taste buds differ and opinions are different but this is my opinion

Today we had pulled Angus beef at halal festival from Marhaba’s food stall but it was not worth it £12 for few rashers of beef and a lot of chips.

This restaurant is the best food is delicious service excellent food came hot and tasty defo will go there again best place for special donar just too good thanks for a lovely evening

Went for late night meal with friends. Good menu with decent variety. Ordered the grilled chicken burger with chips. Burger was good, wouldn't call it a fillet burger as it had grilled chicken strips. Also no sauce in the burger, nevertheless tasted good. Service was great, would definately come back to try the other items in the menu.

10/10 service and amazing sizzlers.

I had some doner and lamb chops. Food felt average quality for the price, so not a place to go regularly, unless other items on the menu are a big hit? Once in a while, it would be fine.

Very Disappointed Had ordered Order Chicken Tikka in starter, Chicken Steak and Burgers with cheese fries. Chicken Tikka was look like curry, there’s been no Smokey flavour at all in that, chicken steak bee order with Lemon & Herb sauce , which was no where like that…. All food had same taste with same sauce on that. Fries been cold with very less cheese on that. Waste of money……

Zalfrezi burger been taken off the menu but the chef is more then happy to still do it. only place in lesta that does that awesome style 😎

spontaneous trip to @ marhaba_leicester .. based on 📍 171 Evington Rd, Leicester LE2 1QL .. we parked on one of the side streets. Before you go be aware *CASH only* seems to be the case in many places recently, really should haven card option! Their is a free cash machine across the road opposite the Co op. The menu had many options to choose from.. We ordered: 1. ‘Marhaba Special Doner Tray Large’ which was special Donner with salad and a choice of naan or chips I got chips cost £10:00. I really enjoyed and would defo recommend 🤙🏽 2. ‘Chicken Tikka’ which we got with naan however you can get with chips.. this was £7:50. 3. ‘Chicken Grilled Fillet Burger’ which was £4:50. No complaints with the food.. and would 100% be back! They are also on @justeatuk & deliveroouk and available for take out..

I was very impressed with the customer service we received. The waiter was very attentive and polite. Had a small issue with one of the dishes but this was rectified immediately. I highly recommend the pulled beef sizzler with their delicious special house sauce. I was left licking my fingers!! Will definitely be eating here again.

Don't bother going anywhere else as you won't find better than Marhaba. The food is 1st class and so is the owner. Everything we ate was tasty. I would go back to this place every time. Don't just take my word for it, go and see for yourself

Service was decent, Junaid showed great hospitality, made us feel very welcomed. Food wise, the tea bone steak was quite tough and over cooked and although we ordered gazebo chicken and some wings for starters and sides, everything tasted almost the same, they need to ease off on the tomatoe sauce they use.

Excellent food. Well priced. Been visiting since 2005 when they were a shisha cafe. Quality has been maintained. If you go, try the Mix Tray. I love it.

Probably the best place in Leicester. Ordered twice via deliveroo and uber eats and top food, fresh, hot and tasty!!!

Food quality is poor. Gourmet burgers are far from gourmet and are sadly from the freezers. Service was reasonable.

Huge prices for very small portions of food. Waiting times for food to be cooked is ridiculous too.

I agree with the previous reviewer that the quality of the food is average at best and is served in very small portions for premium prices. Would not recommend this restaurant.

The mixed grill here is amazing. I dont know what the sauce is that they smother the meat in buts its so sticky sweet and a nice littke kick to it. £20.00 is perfect for two very hungry people! And they serve it with juicy gurkins the acidity of the gurkins cuts well through the fatty juices on the meat. Its always juicy and well cooked food here been back 3 weekends in a row. Leave masjid jamea and come all the way here! Then choco berries for desert after and chai wala for a nice tea/chai! Perfect night put with wife/husband or friends!

Great place, with a large menu and desserts on the side. Quite a big restaurant with plenty of seating. Service was great and so was the food which arrived promptly.

Love the special doner in nan and also the jalfrezi in nan. They have a wicked new menu with some amazing items such as the Lemon and herb chicken and some of their steaks. Top quality food as always. Suhail the owner take great pride in ensuring the food is of a high standard!

Atrocious, diabolical, forgettable and incredible, as in incredibly awful. Myself and my pregnant wife fancied a night out after long week of work and commitments. We decided to come to ‘Marhaba.’ A more accurate description of this place would be ‘Hell.’ We entered at around 8pm and left 15 years later with a teenage child, the sevice was that slow. Met a lovely couple sitting next to us who also experienced slow service, but unfortunately passed away a few weeks in to our joint wait from starvation. The staff were miserable, you’d genuinely think each of their pet dogs or cats had been violently run over. I’ve seen more smiles at a wake. We may as well have been invisible like that Casper the friendly ghost. I could have walked up and kicked one of the staff members in the nuts and they’d still get up and wander around without acknowledging me. After a long wait, we finally got our food. My chicken was raw, which is surprising considering how long they’d likely chased it around the garden to catch it and cook it for me. My wife’s burger was also raw, might as well have morphed in to a hyena and eaten a goat alive like they do in the wild. As you may gather, an awful experience and I’d rather wear a live tiger round me shoulders than ever visit this dunghole again.

Went there yesterday as wife wanted a milkshake, their milkshakes used to be really good.instead of telling my the machines not working, they still decided to make it, one of the worst milkshakes I've ever tasted. It was watery had like a wierd foam on the top. The machine must be messed. Had to throw them in the bin. £5 gone to waste! Go big johns if you want a thick shake

It was my anniversary last night so I thought I'll order from here. Hubby did not like the food it was filled up with fat.

I visited here on 21st August late night with a friend. Had Marhaba special steak. Great customer service, delicious food 🥘. Deserves five 🌟. I live in Manchester I I have tried steaks Manchester curry mile many places but this is one of the best 👍

Marhaba have recently updated their restaurant which made a big difference to the ambiance. Never had any issues with the food and they have done well with their steaks.

This is a family run business from what I gather. The food is great and its very clean. I love the service, just call them 10-15min before hand and my order is always ready when I arrive. Been eating here for a good number of years now and never have the messed my order up.

I eat at Marhaba on numerous occasions as the food is very, very good, as is the service. There is not much room in the small area at the back of the premises but it is nice to ebjoya shisha there and relax on nice warm summer nights. I would rate this place very highly indeed. ;)
