Love this place, food is absolutely fantastic

Good restaurant. Great experience. 'sasa' chacha making delicious naan . Cheap and tasty. Strongly recommend to visit.

Always love the food from the guys at massala. My favourite is the lamb bhuna, nice tender lamb. Food arrived nice and hot too.

Been coming here,for many years,there chef has changed on occasions sometimes not for the best,but now all excellent,staff have always been great,now back to the best it has been for a while,well worth a visit or a return.

This was the first time we have eaten at Massala and we can highly recommend it. We went for their Wednesday Banquet Night. The service was brilliant, the food was lovely and there was plenty of it. This is a friendly place with tasty food and reasonable prices. Give it a try, you will like it.

I was a bit disappointed. I heard good things about this place and tried a dish and it tasted like a cheese and onion curry. It was awful. The chicken itself was very succulent and tasty but the sauce did not taste like what I ordered and the onion bhajis were not the best.

I’ve never been disappointed with the food quality, I collect, as you can see the place gets really busy and the owners work so hard to get the orders out, in a timely manner. It’s busy because it’s good. I recommend the Naga chicken. That's not for wimps. 😉

We love Massala - always a family treat and favourite! Been coming here for nearly 20 years and never been disappointed, every meal has been terrific!

We use this place a lot. As we work in a pub/restaurant and was serving close to 300 people on Xmas day ourselves, we decided to order a feast on Xmas Eve to keep for our Christmas Day dinner once we finished work! When I placed the order I suggested they deliver whenever suited them xmas eve as the other guests had to come first as we wasn’t having it that day. It was a fab xmas day dinner thank you Massala!!

Excellent environment, friendly service, great menu choices and really decent food and at affordable prices. Garlic chilli chicken, tamarind chicken, chicken karai & tandoori mixed grill was fabulous and so delicious .

Very average and not at all authentic cuisine. Obviously catering for the British. The chutneys with the papadoms were insipid and then we had to wait over an hour before our main course arrived, not very warm and served with cold plates. Everything looked the same and apart from the different meat did taste much different either. Watch out for the beer - a pint of Cobra is £5.20 but a couple of our party had halves which cost a ridiculous £4.20 each! I can't even begin to understand that. The staff were friendly enough but paid little attention to detail. All in all a drab experience.

Unfortunately not a great experience. Had a takeaway. Forgot item, prawns came as 1 big battered mass. Food not hot. Restaurant not busy so unsure of why this happened Not the greatest food I have had. Just my experience on the night not a reflection on what others may experience.

Amazing food cooked to the highest standard, everything from the pakorah to the special massala special curry was out of this world. Drinks choice very good and a nice complementary drink as we finished our meal. Delivery service from here is also very efficient, and delivery staff are always well presented and polite

There is just MASALA in the name of restaurant but none of the dishes has MASALA in it. Not at all spicy as mentioned. Moreover every dish has sweetness with similar taste. Didn’t even justify the name😐😐😐

No website to veiw menu just facebook page and just eat to veiw their part menu. Apparently you have to visit to veiw full menu! These busnesses that do this dont understand how many customers they lose, good luck for the future. You will need it!!

Love Masala, it's a family favourite. Great food, great service and relaxed atmosphere.

Delighted with Massala. The food is absolutely delicious, the staff are all friendly, professional, very accommodating, and those guys know what they talk about when it comes to Indian food. I've asked for recommendations a few times and I've always loved the suggestions. I would highly recommend giving them a try.

Ordered from here tonight Monday a little disappointed to be honest waited 1hour 40 minutes for food to be delivered turned up warm I ordered a chicken korma for my kids they loved that but I asked for my curry to be mild was a little spicy for me the kebab starter was bland and dry the onion bhaji was tasteless and they forgot my salad and mint sauce which made me not enjoy it as much either the nann bread was hard and dry also . I thought I’d try this for the first time as the reviews looked amazing and my normal go to are now shut down but for me the food was a let down

The best Indian Takeaway around by far.

The banquet deal is amazing value for money and the quality of the meat was just lovely. They delivered the meal to our holiday home and there was enough food for two days meals. Highly recommended although complimentary papodums would have been nice

First time getting a takeaway here, food was amazing but was a bit awkward waiting for the food as the two young people at the bar and bringing food out were arguing! Not sure this is great in a customer based environment!

Massala in Woolston is hands down the best Indian restaurant. Staff are lovely and food is always gorgeous, hot and well presented. The restaurant itself is very clean with a modern look! Chef has always given me and my partner extra food while we have waited for our mains free of charge and its always been something fresh and tasty that we haven't tried before. Genuinely a hidden gem and would suggest to anyone wanting amazing food to go there! X

Been coming here for good 15 years, best Indian in Southampton imo and iv tried near enough all of them at some point or another nowhere can do naan bread and curries as good as here and the price is better or same as most plus cobra on tap not more you can ask for in an Indian

Fab takeaway food excellent it was my first time of experiencing Massala menu and wasn't disappointed, ordered and delivered when they said. Very reasonable prices and very happy with the friendly service would highly recommend.

Great food pleasant staff the only thing I could critisize would be that there was not a lot of room between the table and seat, though I am 6 foot 5". Great value though - recommend it.

Honestly the tastiest Indian food in Southampton. They are only doing takeaways currently but their Lamb Dhansak with Keema Rice is to die for, my other half swears by their Chicken Patia and my step-son loves their chicken tikka massala. Always happy smiling service and I would recommend them to anyone.

Worst Indian restaurant ever been. Ordered chicken tikka but got chicken korma but still get charged. Food is not fresh. Tatsteless curry. Rude staff. No apologies. Never gonna go there.

Charged for papadam snacks without being informed although in many Indian restaurants it is for free. Chicken tikka masala was not even tikka masala - looked more like chicken korma... customer service is poor. Feeling absolutely dissapointed and misleaded. Prices too high. Place looks worn out. Definately not coming back and will not recommend. Evening ruined.

Had a brilliant meal here a few days ago with my other half. Was going to get a take away but changed our minds when we were in there. Great service, nice and comfortable booths. Was also lovely and warm, perfect for a cozy relaxing evening in the Autumn nights.

awful takeaway ordered over £40 WORTH keema naan rock hard onion bahjis rock hard could not eat curry cold and could not do special rice no peas all in all an awful takeaway and I shall never go here again! contacted them and did not offer to replace or refund POOR

Their Daal was the best! They even gave us free papadums! Extremely generous in their portions, delivery is spot on and food quality fresh!

We ordered food for delivery. It was delicious and took just over an hour. Only downside was that the food was not very hot.

Terrible tasteless curries. Watery rice. Absolutely disgusting. They were fab couple of months ago but our takeaway last night was inedible.

Brilliant food and best service.

Absolutely disgraceful .I would say the WORST Indian takeaway I have ever used. It took over an hour and a half for the delivery to arrive, and by then it was stone cold. Pakoras and onion bhaji's were soggy. The rice was forgotten and not even delivered. The curry was so cold we would have needed to heat it for 20/30 mins before eating! We contacted Masala to complain - their response - we will send you out a new order! Our whole evening had already been ruined by waiting over an hour and half for food to arrive, why would we wait longer! We asked for a refund. Which they would only give to us if they could come and collect the food back, suggesting to me that they didnt believe us. So I bagged the food back up, as was not going to eat it, and have left it on the doorstep for them to collect. Noone did collect it. Would only recommend people to STAY AWAY from this place

This is a good local Indian restaurant, good food and service. Do use it regularly usually to eat in but excellent takeaway/delivery

First time eating here tonight. Restaurant lovely and clean with a nice ambience. Food delicious. I had Tandoori mixed grill and my friend the bombay biryani. Lovely friendly staff with great service. Would definitely recommend and will be back to eat here again. Thank you very much :).

Used to go here a lot and decided to order via Just Eat, 2 hours to deliver the food. Good food but won't order take away again. Disappointed

Ordered khoria chicken and chicken bhuna told 50mins, took 1 1/2 hours to arrive it was cold delivery man laughed said better late than never. We live 5 mins away from the premises. Khoria was dreadful. Don't order from here .Raelly awful .

Ordered at 6.40pm this evening and was told it'll be abit of a wait, up to 1 hr 20 minutes. That wasn't a problem.... 2 hrs 10 minutes later having tried to contact them on numerous occasions, no answer and still not here. Very poor and un professional. Would recommend all to avoid this takeaway!!! Shameful

There's a first time for everything. And this definitely won't be the last time I go here. The food was amazing and the service was friendly. If you're looking for a really nice meal in a nice cosy environment. This is it.
