Highly dissapointed by the hospitality received from the staff at the restaurant, food is just okay where we ordered different varieties of Dosa(Taken long waiting time for getting the food) but they were expensive also they billed a service charge of £5 for serving the food which is not at all acceptable, have been to several other south indian restaurants in UK, first time faced these kind of experience.

Visited to work on the alarm at the restaurant. The staff were very hospitable and approachable. I got to try some dosa which I had not had before which was great! Will definitely return when in the area.

I went to MintDosa this evening, hoping for a nice meal, but I was quite disappointed with the service. The waiter who attended to my table didn’t seem interested at all and made no effort to explain the menu or help with any questions I had. I believe that waiters should at least be pleasant and greet customers with a smile—it makes a big difference to the overall experience. His lack of engagement made the experience feel unwelcoming, which was unfortunate, as I was looking forward to trying something new. I believe good service is just as important as good food, and in this case, it really took away from the overall experience. I hope the management pays attention to improving staff attitude and customer interaction in the future.

The food was excellent, although not fine dining (more canteen style), it reminded me of being in South India. Really good value for money and authentic flavours.

Welcomed by the fragrance of incense and Tamil songs which was incredibly nostalgic. Never knew about mint dosa breakfast buffet until today . It was such a surprise to know we have a South Indian breakfast buffet close to us as we used to travel to London for this. Food was great 😊. Being raised in Kerala and graduated in Bangalore, South Indian breakfast has a sentimental value to me 😊. Friendly owner and staff who are very open to suggestions 😊

Close to the City center . Better place to try tamilnadu style food. Don't miss the 10£ buffet on the weekends. I've been eating regularly for the past 2 years, the taste changes now & then but okay for me to be there to eat home style cooks.

Decent South Indian breakfast buffet at a very reasonable price on Saturday and Sunday. I love their lamb biriyani as well. They surprised me recently with a very good kebab as well. I recommend this place. I would like to add that the staff is really attentive and efficient.

I went to Mint Dosa last Friday for the Diwali special and what a treat that was! Traditional South Indian platter on a banana leaf. I live in Winchester but go to Mint Dosa every week for a meal! The restaurant has a great atmosphere, the staff are brilliant, the food is excellent and very reasonably priced. Please see my attached photos. I highly recommend Mint Dosa, oh and you must try the mutton masala Dosa!

Today we dined at Mint Dosa. We were utterly disappointed with most of the dishes. The crab curry that they served was stale and very much foul smelling. The garlic nan was also tasting very bitter. The Dosa and some other items were too oily. The Gobi 65 that was served was not fully cooked.

Lovely atmosphere. Amazingly delicious food. Friendly staff. Neat toilets. So it was really a good experience. It's excellent hence 4 star. One staff member was smiley and welcoming. The other was not so welcoming. But the food is great. We went back again and had the same level of delicious food and the service was warm and welcoming. The price was even reasonable and worth the food. We had a plate of idli vada, gobi 65, tea, schezwan fried rice, paneer butter masala with plain parotta, and finally Rasmalai. They were yummm. This is a go to place for me in Southampton. Day-2 update... We loved it so much that we went the next day for lunch again. We had a plate of idli, Mysore masala dosa, ghee roast podi dosa, as usual tea, and gulab jamun. The jamun were like home made instead of the store brought ones. Perfect sugar consistency and smoothness. Would love to re visit again to try out other dishes. The staff were friendly and were happy to see the same faces. They were smiling and chatting which made us feel more welcoming and they even helped us with the order. Really happy about the visit. Tummy full, heart full :) Became a regular. We park the car below asda (beside the bus station) and walk up to the restaurant.

We've just had a delicious authentic meal at the Mint Dosa after dropping parents off for a cruise. Felt so relaxed here, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Definitely recommend to people seeking a nice, chilled meal out.

Utterly charming and helpful man in charge. We went for lunch on a Thursday and we were the only non- Indians in the restaurant. A good sign. Food was delicious and was presented beautifully. Other customer's plates of food looked similarly good and enticing. What a good place to eat proper Indian food supervised by the wonderful man in charge. Go there, you will be entranced.

We love the dosas here and try to come here every week for a dosa. Best in town, we reckon!! The chutneys are our favourite, and love that they are all vegan friendly. Highly recommend if you want a traditional dosa experience! Spoken from someone who lived in India!

We popped in for a quick meal on a Saturday evening. What can I say? I think the term authentic shouldn't be used by white English who've never been to the subcontinent! But I am making the assumption that this is probably the closest one would get to good South Indian food. Great quality food, good service and fast. Just right.

Underwhelming experience. We were open-minded despite the décor and lack of atmosphere. But the food was a disappointment. Too salty, not as described on the menu (mine supposedly should have cashewnuts in it). I wouldn't recommend it and we won't be back.

Small restaurant with small, good food. Very Italian-style, but with very economical portions - three courses fill you up, but the main course barely fills you up. The food is simple but tasty - just unusually little.

I'd ordered a Podi Dosa, and it not just lived up to my expectations, but surpassed it frankly. Thoroughly relished my meal, I think I'll keep coming here often !

I have been to this place many times and tried several forms of dosas, chicken dishes that are served there. All of the dishes are excellent and chicken masala dosa is a speciality of this restaurant. On my latest visit to this restaurant I noted they have started adding service charge to the bill. I am not sure if this is compulsory as I noticed it after making the payment. I was not pleased with this new charge as this was not there during my earlier visits. Also they have started incentives for tagging them on social media which is again something new!!!

When we went to this restaurant in the morning, there was a breakfast buffet. But there was not enough food to eat. Taste is average.

Went this evening, this is not by far a five star restaurant, but it does serve five star Indian street food for an excellent price. Yes is rough and ready but look beyond that and the food is spectacular…. Can only recommend Had to do another review since my last visit last week. Slow service, great food, but the gents toilets were a disgrace, mid afternoon both urinals out of order, and for a long time by the looks of it. The seat on the toilet was grim and the seat was not properly attached to the floor. Will never go back which is a shame.

Good ambience, ordered some stuff, but tandoori fish was fantastic and worth the money. Mutton biryani was really good and calamari. Filter coffee was superb.

The quality of the food was below par. Mango punch was basically juice from concentrate and mojitto tasted bland. Dosa tasted good, but there was no top up of sambar or chutney despite asking the waiter twice. The wait between ordering the food and getting it was nearly 30 mins and there were hardly any customers in the restaurant at the time.

It's a nice Indian restaurant with a variety of options. The best part is its food is authentic Indian. I have tried many Indian restaurants they were expensive and didn't have any authentic taste but this is great. It's affordable too. I loved this place. The only thing that needs to be improved is they need some music too and the server needs to be energetic and smiling.

Yummy 😋 South Indian dosa and all items were good.

The worst service. I went with my friend yesterday, and I ordered dosa and bajji. It took them almost forty minutes, and they didn't deliver the dosa. It feels like I never want to go there again. I got frustrated and left, regardless the fact that the employees were acting badly and even not apologising. If you're starving, I would advise not going there because of the service

I recently stopped at Mint Dosa while traveling from Southampton to Coventry, tempted by their menu and craving some good chilli chicken. Despite specifically asking for spicy and dry chilli chicken, I was served a saucy version that tasted sweet. When I pointed out the discrepancy, the staff insisted that chilli chicken is supposed to be sweet because of the sauce they use. The chicken chukka was also extremely disappointing, with a terrible taste. Overall, I had the worst experience with both dishes. I suggest you think twice before dining here.

The food was made a ready to collect at the time I requested but no driver arrived until after and hour and a half after the time. Food was cold when delivered.

All the ordered items delivered incomplete without chutneys as stated on the menu. This is a recurring problem in almost all my previous orders. When called to check, they seemed to blame the delivery person has being responsible for the missing items. I even made a special request to check all the items is included before delivery and yet this still happens when they charge full for the item with extra service charge.
