Small restaurant with small, good food. Very Italian-style, but with very economical portions - three courses fill you up, but the main course barely fills you up. The food is simple but tasty - just unusually little.

I'd ordered a Podi Dosa, and it not just lived up to my expectations, but surpassed it frankly. Thoroughly relished my meal, I think I'll keep coming here often !

The food we ordered was extremely delicious, especially the Mysore masala Dosa and Chana Bhatura. Also, the staff is very kind and generous. a must visit place👍🏻

When we went to this restaurant in the morning, there was a breakfast buffet. But there was not enough food to eat. Taste is average.

I have been to this place many times and tried several forms of dosas, chicken dishes that are served there. All of the dishes are excellent and chicken masala dosa is a speciality of this restaurant. On my latest visit to this restaurant I noted they have started adding service charge to the bill. I am not sure if this is compulsory as I noticed it after making the payment. I was not pleased with this new charge as this was not there during my earlier visits. Also they have started incentives for tagging them on social media which is again something new!!!

Dosa are very good but I don’t recommend garlic naan they are soak in too much butter.

Went this evening, this is not by far a five star restaurant, but it does serve five star Indian street food for an excellent price. Yes is rough and ready but look beyond that and the food is spectacular…. Can only recommend Had to do another review since my last visit last week. Slow service, great food, but the gents toilets were a disgrace, mid afternoon both urinals out of order, and for a long time by the looks of it. The seat on the toilet was grim and the seat was not properly attached to the floor. Will never go back which is a shame.

It was a waste of money. Please don't go there. I'm a 40 person. I know what I did order I tried twice last week but unfortunately it was waste of money. No good food. Thank you very much. Go there if you want to waste your money. Thank you

Delivery was fast but found it had no flavour just very spicy, nan bread was wet, small portions and the panner tasted old.

Lovely atmosphere. Amazingly delicious food. Friendly staff. Neat toilets. So it was really a good experience. It's excellent hence 4 star. One staff member was smiley and welcoming. The other was not so welcoming. But the food is great. We went back again and had the same level of delicious food and the service was warm and welcoming. The price was even reasonable and worth the food. We had a plate of idli vada, gobi 65, tea, schezwan fried rice, paneer butter masala with plain parotta, and finally Rasmalai. They were yummm. This is a go to place for me in Southampton. Day-2 update... We loved it so much that we went the next day for lunch again. We had a plate of idli, Mysore masala dosa, ghee roast podi dosa, as usual tea, and gulab jamun. The jamun were like home made instead of the store brought ones. Perfect sugar consistency and smoothness. Would love to re visit again to try out other dishes. The staff were friendly and were happy to see the same faces. They were smiling and chatting which made us feel more welcoming and they even helped us with the order. Really happy about the visit. Tummy full, heart full :)

Good ambience, ordered some stuff, but tandoori fish was fantastic and worth the money. Mutton biryani was really good and calamari. Filter coffee was superb.

The quality of the food was below par. Mango punch was basically juice from concentrate and mojitto tasted bland. Dosa tasted good, but there was no top up of sambar or chutney despite asking the waiter twice. The wait between ordering the food and getting it was nearly 30 mins and there were hardly any customers in the restaurant at the time.

Rubbish Food, horrible services, not worth at all, we realised that there was an offer on Drinks during happy hours 5PM to 8.00 PM, at the time of going out too,the waiter did not suggest too, they were not in a position to communicate properly too,a total bad experience during my visit to UK

It's a nice Indian restaurant with a variety of options. The best part is its food is authentic Indian. I have tried many Indian restaurants they were expensive and didn't have any authentic taste but this is great. It's affordable too. I loved this place. The only thing that needs to be improved is they need some music too and the server needs to be energetic and smiling.

Yummy 😋 South Indian dosa and all items were good.

The worst service. I went with my friend yesterday, and I ordered dosa and bajji. It took them almost forty minutes, and they didn't deliver the dosa. It feels like I never want to go there again. I got frustrated and left, regardless the fact that the employees were acting badly and even not apologising. If you're starving, I would advise not going there because of the service

I recently stopped at Mint Dosa while traveling from Southampton to Coventry, tempted by their menu and craving some good chilli chicken. Despite specifically asking for spicy and dry chilli chicken, I was served a saucy version that tasted sweet. When I pointed out the discrepancy, the staff insisted that chilli chicken is supposed to be sweet because of the sauce they use. The chicken chukka was also extremely disappointing, with a terrible taste. Overall, I had the worst experience with both dishes. I suggest you think twice before dining here.

I went to Mint Dosa last Sunday for the breakfast buffet. It's great value for money, only £9.99 with a variety of dishes. For someone who hasn't tried South Indian food, this buffet would be an ideal place to start.

All the ordered items delivered incomplete without chutneys as stated on the menu. This is a recurring problem in almost all my previous orders. When called to check, they seemed to blame the delivery person has being responsible for the missing items. I even made a special request to check all the items is included before delivery and yet this still happens when they charge full for the item with extra service charge.

The food was made a ready to collect at the time I requested but no driver arrived until after and hour and a half after the time. Food was cold when delivered.

I ordered Kerala fish curry was so bland and there wasn't even a piece of fish. Paid £12 rip off all I could see was ginger pieces and very tiny flake of fish. Chicken kothu parota was £10, very small portion worse than a starter portion. Avoid ordering from here

Very salty, lamb chops, chicken tikka had no taste of its own apart from too much salt poured on top.

Lovely authentic South indian and North Indian food. Great menu and favours. As an Indian origin I do not like when food is catered for the British public as the real food is lost but here the original tastes and flavours tingle the taste buds. Highly recommend it.

Delivery driver picked up food at 1520 stopped outside burgerking for 15 mins then spent next 30 traveling around. Food is stone cold for a delivery expected to arrive at 1505

Food was really tasty. We had chicken 65, Mutton Chettinad curry + Lemon Rice and Chicken Kothu Parotha. All tasted good with nice balance of masalas. Yummy Spicy

This used to be a good place in the past and we went there multiple times for good south Indian food. However when we were there 3 months ago the food and service were all very bad, which is a shame!

The service is good. ( 5 star ) Ambience is okay ( 4 star ) I ordered Kerala porotta, which was delicious. The chilli chicken was also tasty, but the biriani was not. ( Food 2 star )

The order update was showing driver at the restaurant for almost an hour. I called the restaurant and the driver wasnt there. They had kept the food ready. The status update was done much before the driver reached the restaurant. The food arrived cold. I would like a refund.

Kerala dishes are very tasty, especially Chana bhatura, poori masala, and masala tea. Recommend to those who are missing Kerala recipes.

Two food items was leaking in the bag

Went there with the family on Saturday. Only one table was occupied. Took nearly 10 mins to come and take our order. We had a 3 year old with us. Waiter recommended children’s dosa. We requested it to be bland and not spicy. It took nearly half an hour for the starters to come and they didn’t all come at the same time! The paneer was warm and not hot. As soon as the 3 yrs old put a bit of dosa in her mouth she screamed. It was quite spicy! With this we decided to just pay for the food we had and leave. This was an hour after we arrived. Service is very slow. The toilets aren’t very clean. Definitely never going back again. And not recommended.

Ambience is good . But service was terrible. Only us and 1 single person .But even after that order arrived after 20 minutes. And no one was there to check if everything was OK. Even after waiting for 20 min the food arrived among that " kothu paratha" was cold and tasteless. Dosa were ok . Asked for any extra sauce for samosa even it was denied . Not worth . Spent £40 but not worth the price and time as we traveled 30 miles to just have food from here as per friends recommended. But not again .

Great place for pre gig/show .large upstairs casual dining ,group of three ,one veggie .we were fabulously fed.dosa stuffed with cheese and masala potatoes a highlight,curries authentic and finely spiced. Good to see a bombay bicycle ipa on tap along with usual offerings. On our visit was a mix of ethnic locals and out of towerners, while the service was swift and staff lovely . I would highly recommend you go ,a real asset to the vibrant food scene in the area .

All the dishes looked and tasted the same - seemed to be the same basis sauce with slightly different ingredients - and there was only a small amount of each of those ingredients, so it was not good value. Also, none of the containers was marked so it was really hard to tell which was supposed to be which.

Few hits and couple of misses. Overall a good place for Indian food. Were bit skeptical to visit because of other reviews mainly about the service. But surprisingly the service was good and staffs were polite. Medu vada was not cooked properly, and they promptly replaced it.

Staff not good at all. When we entered nobody was there to attend us for 10 minutes. The waiter literally threw menu on table and even didn't show apologies. He even served food with so much nagative attitude. Not recommended if you really want to make your day. Because it was our anniversary and we went there for dinner. Will not visit again for sure. And veg manchurian was worst I ever tried in UK. We literally skipped it after having single bite. Quantity is even more worst.

We order 2 Chiken biryani take out after waiting nearly 1 hour waiting biryani smells not good and beryani has no veg sauce they said that's only rice comes with it they still charge a lot for it also missing garlic nan they said tandoori oven not working

I have more than once been tempted to post this honest review but had been deterred by the good food quality - but it seems difficult to hold back every time around the pathetic service meted out. On a sunday , customer walked in at 11.50 and was told that he can take the buffet but it would not be refilled. Instead, he can order at the table. However, what he is not told that he would not be attended for the next 15 mins and have to spend time watching around because the ala carte starts from 12.00 - is this for real?!!! Nobody is even interested to give the menu card or offer a glass of water/beverage. It seems like i made a unpardonable mistake of stepping in hoping to get ala carte during buffet hours - and supposed to figure out the house rules on my own. Pathetic to say the least!!!

Such good food at really good prices. The lassi is delicious.
