We attended a 60th birthday party in the waterfront early evening on 0ctober 8th 2024, and what a brilliant event. They had low partitioned off one side of the bar restaurant area and this worked to provide a private area which also benefitted from the lovely atmosphere in the rest of this popular friendly pub. The space was ideal for the 40ish there with a pull down screen showing photos of the party girl, easy access to toilets, a bar and an outside area with sea views. The buffet was excellent, lovely meats hot boiled potatoes, warm tasty bread rolls, especially good coleslaw, king prawns, other sides, cakes and cheeses. The staff were attentive efficient and friendly. Like I said brilliant, and a good time had by all.

Customer facing staff is key to a pleasurable experience stay at any hotel though staff seemed to be demotivated and seemingly reflected that, in my opinion, of the general managers demeanour. Never had such a cold reception…. anywhere! Shame. Food nice enough as was accommodation. Sadly to add, my car which was parked overnight and was subjected by those who insist on wearing hoodies in the twilight hours collecting car badges by the use of screwdrivers! Not the fault of the hotel but just added to the forgettable experience. Choice is always yours!

Service is good and quick as usual, food is well presented and hot, always the same. Had the gammon, egg & chips plate which is good value. Can't really think of any improvements required here in a popular establishment.

Very nice, rustic pub, choose tables on the 1st floor, then you sit with a direct view of the sea. Nice staff, very hard working and friendly. Food delicious.

Dont go for the "chciken curry". It was Irish curry sauce you get at the chippy with bits of chicken thrown in it. Worthington pint was flat and when queried with the the bar staff/manager at the door, he drank it in front of me and pulled a face of disbelief and then charged me for another drink. Unfriendly atmosphere and out dated look. Do not recommend at all!

(We didn’t order food) Come here with my boyfriend for the Karaoke we’ve come here every so often for that. We record ourselves every time to show to ourselves and family in the morning after when we’re sober. A patron became rather aggressive towards us for the filming despite our previous time there was no complaints, it was dealt with rather quickly the staff were helpful and understanding about this which was much appreciated as the night ended he came up to to us in the beer garden whilst we were smoking a cigarette and seemingly had put all the issues behind him and we started talking friendly as strangers do exchanged our jobs and how our days went etc… to which he turned sour towards me because of my job and threatened “to find me” even if it was drunken words it’s still a threat that he wanted to attack to me. To which my partner became defensive towards the man. And where we were yelled at by a member of staff who said that “we were part of an agenda” what ever that means? the guy who hurled abuse was let go Scot-Free due to him being drunk, but the disrespect we received was awful and I wouldn’t recommend coming here at all. You get threatened by customers, but if they’re too drunk to be held accountable it’s your fault? Awful service

Booked a table for a family meal. We have always taken our dog with us here. When we arrived we were told our dog couldn't stay as only half the pub is dog friendly. Manager was 10ft away and refused to speak to us sending a member if staff over to tell us. He ignored us when we asked why. £40 deposit taken at tine of booking bit not taken off the bill at the end. Had to go back to ask for it refunded. Again Manager ignored me . No apology. Manager is rude and ignorant. Shame as we really enjoyed coming here. Won't be back until he is gone. Staff were brilliant as always.

I visited this place with my lovely sister on our return trip from Snowdonia. I don’t use the term ‘the best’ lightly, but this was truly the best fish and chips I’ve had in the UK over the past 12 years. I can’t wait to return as soon as I can.

Never been there but the picture of a dog on the bed has persuaded me never to book it.

I can not recommend a higher establishment for a kebab, insanely tasty food. Beautiful people, the service is unmatched. I couldn’t think of any place I’d go after a night out better than this place. شكرا لكم يا أصدقائي

Just visited after the fit out. Very nice. Called in for early evening dinner. The food was really good. What made the experience for us was the young chap who showed us to our table and looked after us. Also the young lady serving the food was lovely. Well done we will be back soon.
