The Four Crosses in Isle of Anglesey

We have enjoyed eating at the Y Garddfon pub at Felinheli on several occasions so decided to try the Four Crosses, as they are in the same group. The staff were super attentive. A pleasant young man showed us to a new table without fuss when a workman seated himself nearby and spoke loudly on his phone for a long time. I made a mistake when I didn't read the menu properly and hadn't realised the ploughman's sandwich had chutney within it rather than on the side. I sheepishly approached the bar telling the member of staff of my mistake. The lady made me feel at ease and changed the sandwich straightaway. I would like to thank this member of staff as I thought she exceeded all expectations and dealt with my dilemma in a most understanding manner. She is definitely in the right job!! The ploughman's sandwich was full of freshly hand carved ham and grated cheese and tasted delicious. My partner had Welsh rarebit and that was also thoroughly enjoyable.

Called in due to reading reviews. Glad we did, super friendly service. The food arrived promptly and was delicious. Will definitely return and would recommend a visit.

We had a meal here this evening and it was fantastic ! Gorgeous food and big portions. The staff were exceptional, the young man who served us tonight (table for 5 with a dog at 18.30) was an absolute credit to them. So professional and he has a lovely manner with customers. The whole experience was brilliant from start to finish, thank you so much, we will definitely be back !

Found this place by pure chance whilst on our way back to Bangor so decided to give it a try. What a great Pub !! It was a Sunday ( Today 8.10.23 ) so only a selection of roasts available We all had Beef and was not disappointed , The Beef was tender and juicy the mash was amazing and the roast potatoes where delicious, The veg was tasty and the portion size was excellent value for money. The sticky Toffee pudding was absolutely fantastic and again the portion was very generous, Put this together with friendly attentive and hard working staff makes this place a must try. We will definitely visit again .

We were looking for somewhere to have a nice meal out during our stay in North Wales. We found this place by chance and we were so glad to have done so. We were made to feel so welcome by the staff. They were very helpful. We were allowed to taste the local ale before committing to a full pint. The food was really good, proper pub grub. We had the Four Crosses burgers, they were excellent and good value for money. The pub felt cosy but light and airy at the same time. It was quiz night whilst we were visiting but in no way were we made to feel rushed or in the way. Definitely recommend a meal at this pub if you're in Menai Bridge.

Fantastic visit to the four crosses last night food was outstanding by Dan, luke and Aron. My partner had the mix grill and loves his meats, and this meal did not dissappount. Can honestly say the steak and gammon were cooked to perfection. I had the pate as i had to have some off him 🤣 thank you to shaunagh as well for looking after fantastic service we will definitely be back.

This pub deserved a 5 star rating. Had the Gammon and chips, and partner had crispy chilli beef! The eggs came out perfect, chips were amazing and the Gammon itself was incredible!! Partner also highly recommended the chilli beef as it was better than from the Chinese itself! Excellent team there, such a friendly and welcoming pub.

Hi My wife and I (plus our dog) had Sunday roast beef today. I would like to complain as we can no longer eat Sunday roast anywhere else!! The food was AMAZING, DELICIOUS and there was so much food I’m not going to have to eat for at least a day! The service was 11 out of 10. Staff fantastic. I wish I could put a recommendation on so everyone else could try it. But then you may get to busy and we won’t get a seat! Such a shame. My partner had been here a few months ago and said the food was lovely with a good atmosphere. So on that basis, four of us booked for dinner. I had the worst gammon and chips I have ever been served and two of the other dishes were disappointing. The gammon was thin, dry and burnt and we all agreed the chips were poor. I decided not to complain to avoid spoiling the meals of our group as they would have had to wait for me to have another meal prepared. One of us was a slower eater and after the rest of us had finished, we were asked by the waitress if we had finished and had to quickly stop her from starting to clear the plates. Two minutes later she again asked if we had finished and we again said no, but she went ahead and cleared the other plates of those of us who had finished, leaving one of our party to finish on his own. He felt uncomfortable carrying on eating on his own and stopped eating. His plate was whizzed away within thirty seconds. So disappointing how the standard has deteriorated so quickly, but we won't be returning. Having seen another review mentioning the gammon and chips, our best advice is to not order that, and also suggest the scampi and the cumberland sausage may be disappointing too. On a positive note, most of those waiting on tables and the bar were very friendly and courteous. Just a pity the standard of food coming out of the kitchen let them down.

The staff here were very friendly and accommodating. The service was fast and efficient. This unfortunately is where the positives end. The tables were sticky along with the floor. I had the mixed grill which was supposed to be the best in Anglesey. £28.95 so was expecting butcher quality meat. Instead think farm foods. Wouldn’t recommend the food but would recommend popping in for a pint on your way home from work.

The actual pub was really nice and the staff were pleasant and freindly. I ordered gammon and my partner ordered chicken ceasar salad. The chips were really crisps ,and the gammon was really awful it was burnt and like leather ,it was the worst gammon I have ever had the misfortune of eating. Also the peas were stone cold. My partner said the salad was OK for a bowl of lettuce. I really don't like leaving negative reviews, but how difficult is it to cook gammon and chips ,and make it so bad. Especially for £16.00 .
