We rocked up for food with hungry kids. The bar woman was fantastic got em all fed with good food and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you

The Bull put on an excellent buffet in a bright, well furnished private dining room for a friend's funeral. A great help to overcome a sad day.

The menu is one of those laminated deals where it's pretty much chips with everything. Ordered a "Goan chicken curry" . Got what tasted like a microwave dinner. I was offered an upgrade of half chips and half rice which I declined, but it still came with chips as well as the rice. At least they were piping hot. Think wetherspoons and you won't be far wrong

Would do no stars if I could .arrived late as we just got off boat 2 girls showed us to the room it was at back of main hotel we just opened the door you could smell the damp it was vile the beds were damp I didn't sleep as the smell was so bad shower was damp as well but they tried to cover it with paint or something I never seen anything like this I think they gave us the cow shed or something by mistake we were up early and the smell off us was disgusting smell of mould and you couldn't even shower because you would come out dirtier than you went in we got out as fast as we could and drove to nearest service station for a wash I don't know how they have good reviews if the rooms are same as the the one they put us in. stay well away you be safer and cleaner in your car I think we are all gonna be sick after this What a nightmare 😤

We have been trying to find somewhere to go for Sunday lunch whilst we’re on holiday. Having turned up at an alternative venue only to be told that they weren’t able to serve meals, we decided to go to Valley and made our way to the Bull Hotel. On arriving, it was clear that the restaurant was busy, but staff told us to find a table in the pub and we could then go and get our meal. Having got our drink, we made our way through to the carvery to get our meal. The chef was really helpful and very pleasant, ensuring everyone got exactly what they wanted. There was a good selection of vegetables, although we were slightly confused by the mushy peas!! Both our meals exceeded our expectations and we were very pleasantly surprised at the value for money. For what we paid for two courses, for both of us, we could have just had one meal each!! The staff were all really pleasant and attentive throughout our time at the Bull, despite them being really busy. We will definitely be returning and recommending The Bull Restaurant to everyone and anyone! Thank you!

Today I had the most delicious Sunday carvery that I have had for a long time.

Good pint sat in the beer garden visiting friends. Fab toilets love the idea

Was a very average meal and very overpriced. My curry was supposed to be a medium heat but had no spice what so ever. Had our main plates taken away and didn’t get asked if we wanted a dessert. The kitchen closed moments later.

The pub is friendly enough but that's about it. The chef didn't turn up at all for breakfast which was booked for 07.30, we left at 08.30. The hallway carpets are very grubby. Worst of all is that we were told that there was a courtyard where we could park our motorbikes but there wasn't so we had to park them in full view of the road.

Awful place!! We stayed over and the bathroom was dirty with used sanitary pads still in the bin!! Dirty dirty dirty!! Either get a new cleaner or get some pride in your pub! The food was rank! The service from the girl with glasses was ok but she looked scruffy and smelt of body odour! Honestly we were warned ‘after’ we booked so couldn’t change it! Hindsight! 🥴

Very decent pub grub at a good price, typical pub menu with all the usual suspects. Nice choice of beers, food was well presented and good portions, I'd say better than expected.

The staff are welcoming, the prices are reasonable for Anglesey and the pub has a lovely beer garden along with a chilled vibe. Really like sitting outside watching the world go by....

Sundayunch, disappointing compared with last season. Portions were small, looks like the accountants have been interfering. I didn't feel we had value for money. The weekday menu has been cut, not tried this yet, but will give the Bull one last chance.

Staff extremely friendly but professional. The chef came out to my Grandson who had his Spider-Man suit on to see what he wanted for dinner. The food came and we all pleased with quantity, quality and taste. The curries were first class and my partners hunters chicken was the nicest he’s ever had out. All in all a very enjoyable and tasty meal.

Friendly staff, clean room and a nice hot shower with shampoo and body wash provided. Bed is really comfy and I know already that I'll not want 2 get out of it in the morning.. only downside is there's no chef 2 cook us breakfast in the morning but there's a cafe round the corner

Was really disappointed in the Sunday carvery, beef you couldn't cut even harder to chew ,all very bland Gravy may aswell of been hot water..this is not a £12 lunch Really needs a lot of improvement on the quality of food roast potatoes just tasted of oil couldn't taste any cheese on the coliflower Shame but wont be returning

Was so disappointed ☹️ the food wasn’t cooked properly, they brought the food out quick enough but no service after that ☹️

Seems a fair number restaurants in the area only operate at the weekends so thought we would check this by phoning them. Call answered by a very bubbly female who confirmed they were open and when asked if we could just walk in or needed to book, she confirmed walk in was ok but she would set a table for us anyway. No details were taken so I thought 'yeh'! When we arrived,sure enough there were a couple of tables reserved and we were given a choice of them or a larger table if we wanted. We chose our table and sat down. Two young girls were serving the restaurant & bar area and rarely have I met such pleasant, smiley and attentive individuals. Every customer was met with friendliness and a clear desire to make them feel at home. I had starter of Carrot & Coriander soup with hot half baguette. The baguette actually seemed to have just been baked - soft & fluffy. Perfect. Mains of lasagne and full rack of ribs came with various accompaniments. My wife described the lasagne as amazing whilst my plateful was even better. Meat just fell off the bone making the finger bowl almost redundant. (One suggestion- please provide a side plate for the ribs) Deserts were vanilla honeycomb ice cream for my wife and cherry tart with rum & raisin for me. As an ice cream lover, this was up there with the best. Glass of wine and a beer set off the evening. A perfectly cooked meal, served quickly & efficiently by two bright cheery waitresses made The Bull an absolute delight to have frequented. Just wish you were my local! I should, of course give similar compliments to the hidden kitchen staff who's talent in producing such great meals is often overlooked.

The seafood platter was to die for!!!! So much of it and was delicious x The best We have ever had x The staff are very friendly and we will definitely eat there again x Well done Bull Hotel Valley xxxxxx

May bank holiday 2022 with a group of soggy wet campers of 12 kids and 7 adults we were desperate for a good warm meal, after phoning countless restaurants and being told "Fully Booked" The bull hotel started the conversations with - sure,, what time....

Rooms were clean and had recently been refurbished, staff were very welcoming, Breakfast had a good choice and was well cooked. The dog was made most welcome and had his own sausage! Bar area had also had a minor refurb but still looked well loved....

We visited The bull Hotel early evening one night whilst on our holidays at four mile bridge, Our party of 8 ranging from 7 to 87 years old all enjoyed our visit.The staff were more than helpful, the lady who served us was fantastic and the food was just AMAZING. Our table enabled us to see the food being prepared and after the meal the chef spoke to us and asked if everything was ok. Would definitely recommend visiting

Called after a tiring morning at Valley car boot. Used to go here many years ago for snacks in the garden, but could see garden was empty. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgable service. Ordered two fish and chips and quickly brought a pail (small bucket) containing cutlery, napkins, sea salt grinder and pepper mill. Food looked a little small but was deceptively filling. Perfectly hot chunky chips, fresh garden peas, a small pot of tartare sauce, wedge of lemon and beautifully prepared fish. Exquisite batter and soft full flesh fish.Amazing and just an on the spot decision.Superb

Simply don’t bother. My friends had a lovely big meal which they enjoyed. The veggie tacos filling wouldn’t even fill a cup n the sweet potato fries were burnt and not very nice. I really wouldn’t gone here again!

Just had our first family meal at the bull, we where really impressed with the selection that the new menu has to offer after seeing it advertised on Facebook.

My self and my family popped in to the Bull today for lunch and we were all very pleased with our experience. The Sunday Carvery was great (choice of 3 meats and plenty of veg ,gravy and condiments. All the staff I spoke to were friendly and helpful and the chefs were quick and efficient. Will be going back for another carver soon hopefully.

Family meal at hotel. Service absolutely terrible. Fobbed off when complained about red wine sauce, more like bistro gravy. Rude manager and poorly trained staff. Ruined a lovely weekend. Lots of better restaurants around, don’t eat here.

Stayed here for a few days in July 2018 with my partner, wasn’t sure what to expect as he had stayed here many years ago. The rooms were clean and modernised.

Been here a few times now - our “go-to” place for a cheecky evening meal out. The staff are friendly and the food is tasty - the lasagne is the best I’ve had. Definitely be back soon.

Went to this hotel for a weekend away got to our room and there was wallpaper coming off walls nearly going though the floor it spoilt our weekend away will never go there again

Our family party of eight adults and one child called in here at about 4.30 p.m. When the place was not at all busy. We sat outside and placed our orders at about 4.40 but despite the apparent lack of other customers it took almost an hour for the food to arrive. I wish that I could say that it was worth the wait but I'm afraid that almost every meal, apart from the child's fish fingers, was almost impalatable. A lasagne was very dry, a burger burnt, salad accompaniment more brown than green etc. I did overhear something to the effect of them being short staffed but if that were true they would have been better off closing the kitchen rather than disappointing customers.

Came before for a meal with friends and it was really poor. Bad service and inedible food but we where encouraged to try again as there is a new manager and a new chef. So glad we did. Very attentive friendly wait staff, great new menu and the food was first class quality. Will definitely be going back

Food was amazing perfectly cooked and plenty of it. Wanted one of the delicious sounding desserts but just didn’t have room. My friend had an amazing squidgy chocolate pudding

Stopped here on holiday for a cup of tea. It was the most awful cup I have tasted. Many people came in for Sunday lunch and the carvery looked very nice. Maybe we were just unlucky.

Quick visit here for a bite too eat, The place looks like it's recently been done up, Staff were nice an the Menus for Adults and kids were short an sweet with the usual pub grub classics on, Gotta say I was well impressed with the Chicken Schnitzel burger, very tasty an well an truely finished me off. The wife had Lasagne which was nice an one of my lads had a Cheeseburger which you could have passed for an adult size one, All the portions were more than enough, worth a try for a quick bite I'd say.

Pre booked a mother's day meal and a joint birthday celebration for a party of 12 . 4 mother's looking forward to a family meal and 2 mum's celebrating their birthday. Only to get told the evening before that a member of their staff had booked us all in for the wrong day! They offered us a 4pm time instead of our 1.30pm booked time. We could not do this time as family were traveling back to south Wales at 4. Mother's day ruined ! Finally managed to get a table elsewhere, who managed to squeeze us in. Won't recommend the Bull Valley to anyone, and will never be back there.

Not a bad place for a couple of days break.the biggest problem for us was that the room we had didn't have any wardrobe space.just a hanger on the back of the door This is fine for an overnight stay but certainly not for any...

I have been visiting the bull since I was a little girl! I'm now 31 with my own family and still come here for a Sunday carvery as a treat. It's the only one that does mushy peas, amongst a massive range of other options....

6 of us stopped in Monday night and had the quiche dish the steak and pizza and they even did a dish for my friend who's a fussy eater that wasn't on the menu. All very happy with their food and goid value too.

Gone really down hill, awful food, never have enough meat to feed customers and end up giving shavings and chunks of fat. This carvery used to be fabulous and we would go two or three times a month as a family of 12. We definitely...

Carvery lol don't think you could call a bit of over cooked beef a carvery there was no other meat they'd run out at 13.30 but advertised a Carvery till after 4pm. I am sorry but I've never complained about any restaurant or food in the past. But come on potatoes and veg is so easy to cook and gravy really I can't even compare it to anything except maybe muddy water.

We are visiting the area and checked locality for a family evening meal (Saturday 7th Oct). All looked fine on the website. On arrival, the interior was not welcoming but bar staff friendly. After ordering drinks I advised that we had booked a table for 4. We were directed to the dining room (not shown to the table) where we were the only customers therefore had a pick of tables. We were seated near the window but within site and hearing of the kitchen which is open and you can see up to a point what is happening and clearly hear what is said. We placed our orders and for starters we had 2 baked camembert which after finishing, my wife realised that it was served minus a chutney which was on the description. This was pointed out to the waitress who we heard advised the cook (I could not begin to describe him as a chef) - we heard his comment "why didn't they say when they were eating it"- Absolutely no attempt at an apology. Eventually my wife and daughter received their meal which was wrong - my daughter had ordered a prawn pasta dish which arrived with mussels but did not want to cause a fuss. They commenced eating their meal due to it being fish. My daughter-in-law and I waited and watched our meal sitting under the heating lamps. After hearing the cook call 'service' at least 4 times, I approached the counter and said that I would deliver our own meal, to which the cook replied, "that one hasn't got the chips yet" - after seeing the meal sitting there for a good 10-15 minutes I told him to cancel the order as we were leaving. I advised him that the idea of having a meal out in a group was to eat together, his response was "it's not the end of the world" - again, no apology. When I went to the bar to advise that I was not paying the entire order and as they had got it wrong anyway, they were fortunate to receive any payment. Again at no time did I receive any attempt at an apology. When we were in the dining room, there was one other table with 3 customers. Even if they were short staffed, 3 people in the kitchen should be able to manage to serve 7 people. My advise....do not even contemplate going there until they get rid of the most arrogant cook I have ever come across.

We visited here as a family of seven while at Anglesey race track. The service was more than appalling due to having to wait forever for food to be delivered and then order pudding only to wait for an hour for ice cream. All this while 5 members of staff stand in the bar talking. Not acceptable by anyone's standards.

my dad and I had gone in here for first time in a long time, wewere disappointed with the food parts were warm parts were cold having paid 21.00 in total we didn't feel it stud up to its name , we had gone in at 12 30, hardly any one was in as it was very quiet, the deco was nice inside, out side it looks very lost with choice of colour out side

The ONLY place to visit for the most spectacular Sunday Roast EVER! would only visit the Bull for a roast. Food is amazing with fabulous variety, would always ring to book first though as it can be very buy at times. Wonderful, recommended to me by someone who grew up in Anglesey.

Actually a pub with B&B & restaurant ... We were staying overnight in the B&B at the Bull so decided to have our evening meal here. The restaurant has been refurbished (website is out of date) and is now bright & clean, with a stone floor and modern styling. We were really looking for something spicy but there was no curry, chilli.. I chose the minted lamb burger which was enjoyable. My partner chose the falafal burger which sounded like the tastiest thing on the menu but when it came was fried carb, with a carb topping, served in a carb with a portion carb on the side. Salsa with it would have been much nicer! Wrong choice perhaps... some sauce would have been good, or some vinegar, we requested this but it look so long to come our meal would have been cold if we'd waited (should these things not be on the tables?). There was only one member of staff allocated to the restaurant even though there were two large families there as well as us. Dessert was nice - all in all was "OK/good" but I think the menu would benefit from some "specials" . The next morning we enjoyed our breakfast, the staff were accommodating and competent, very willing to tweak our requests. Eggs & hollandaise on a bagel was delicious. Coffee could have been stronger & hotter! Overall, we would return.

Have had a meal at the Bull before on Mother's Day this year was lovely, went back again a couple of weeks ago what a change it was quite busy in the restaurant but it was obvious the staff couldn't cope. Our table was opposite the entrance to the kitchen had a lovely view of staff putting left over food from customers plates into a black bin!!! The quality of the food has gone down had fish and chips don't like mushy peas which it came with, asked not to have them was never offered garden peas or anything else, there was a lot of fat on the plate from the fish.

Food was wonderful and great staff. Did have a gripe about Peashoots on everything BUT chef came over, we had a chat all my meals after that did not have the offending item :-) I just don't like the things and for a busy kitchen to accommodate my request - impressed me . The food was plentiful, tastsy and very very good value for money

Visited here with the family for a birthday meal the food was really nice very prompt the staff are all polite and helpful will definitely be visiting again

As said in the title what a place such a quirky restraunt/bar we were greated with a warm smile and a warmer log fire burning..staff were quick and attentive and the salmon WOW what a dish hats off to the chef was just a quick visit passing through on our way home but will be booking a night next time were down to catch the ferry.

Visited the bull hotel with family for a birthday meal, lovely welcoming staff and so warm and cosy in there. Food was amazing and so prompt. All 5 of us throughly enjoyed all meals and will definitely be visiting again!

Food disappointing, portions very small, not worth the money at all. Establishment freezing cold, although staff tried to light log stove to no avail which caused a roomful of smoke & unpleasant smell of whatever fuel they tried to light it with! Will not be returning, most un-pleasant experience in a long time!!!

We tried here for a carvery one Sunday. Firstly was quiet when we arrived and we soon found out why. Beef was that overcooked you wouldn't want to drop it on your foot. Turkey was falling to pieces couldn't even carve a slice neatly. Veg was cold and mushy. Roast potatoes where hollow and black. Gravy was the only tasty thing. Yorkshires looked good but just tasted of dirty oil. Waitress was rude and abrupt. Glasses where filthy and beer was terrible.

Came in for a drink as we were passing , looked ok from the outside...then we got inside...the decor was totally lacking in style and decor..no decoration apart from 2 poorly situated lamps .everything is a mish mash with no style at all.' souless' ...first words out of the barstaff was not 'hello what can i get you' but 'we are not serving food' barlady looked like bet lynch. Very lower class of establishment..not my cup of tea or pint of beer..at all..think DIY SOS need to give it an overhaul..

We were very dissapointed to learn that the carvery had stopped at 4pm when we arrived at 6pm but that is our own fault as we are not local. They did have sunday dinner on the menu but were told that is not being served either, even though there is nothing on the menu to say that this is also lunchtime only?? So we preceded to order from the main menu. My daughter had the sausage peas and mash. We are convinced that the mash was in fact smash as it was very dry and even crumbly in places. It was that bad that my daughter who normally loves mash potato would not touch it. In general the quality of the food was very poor and was a very basic value offer, which was a shame as the people working in there were pleasant and friendly.

We heard good things about the carvery in the Bull, so we decided to try it out. To keep it short, I won't be going back there, it was the worst meal I've had in a long time. The meat was nice, the veg ? possibly last weeks. Shame.

5 of us went to the bull for the carvery on Sunday 11th sept. It cost us £45 and it has to be the worst meal I have ever had. It didn't start well, we booked a table for 1400, got there at 1350 to be told the table had not been reserved , the guy behind the bar spoke to a woman who worked there she said if we havn't got a table it is too bad, the barman sat us down in the bar, we queued at the carvery only to be told that they had run out of Turkey and pork, it was only 1400, the carvery was supposed to be going till 1600. We had to ask for them to fill up the broccoli and the cabbage, the cabbage was cold and not cooked and then the roast potatoes were not roasted. 3 of my party had the beef which they could not eat. Needless to say there was very little eaten. It was disgusting. If anyone has an address so that I can take this complaint further I would appreciate the info.

After all the money spent on being refurbished I was shocked to be served a frozen bought in burger. Portions were small and the price were more than better places (Sullivan's rhosneigr for instance). Awful service and food was a joke to be honest, being an ex chef myself I would be ashamed sending food of that quality out.

Really enjoyed the food, we had seafood linguine and lamb rump. Good value , we would recommend this pub restaurant.

The staff are friendly. The pub is clean and well organised. The menu is extensive and caters for all. Well worth a visit.

We stayed in Valley for a long weekend whilst my partner was taking part in the Tour de Mon cycling sportive. We visited The Bull on Saturday evening and was so impressed by the food that we returned the next evening also. You can book a table in the main restaurant which is advisable as it does get busy however you can eat within the pub lounge area if you are fortunate to get a table as it is popular. I noted that a lot of the patrons were locals but there were quite a few visitors in the area so everyone is made welcome (and there is accommodation within the pub itself). The menu is quite varied and the ingredients are sourced locally. Portions are generous and the service is very good even in busy times as we did not wait long on either occasion.Drinks are reasonably priced as is the food but beware that it will cost you a bit more than your average visit to your own local but it's worth it. I had the welsh beef burger and my partner ordered the lamb rump. On the second visit I had a meal from the Specials List and ordered the Thai green chicken curry whilst my partner was so impressed with my burger the day before that he decided to order that! All meals were very delicious and we struggled to clear the plate on both occasions! All in all we would definitely recommend this restaurant. Very nice indeed!

We had not been here for years and heard that it was much improved. The outside is stunning in it's new colours and we had high hopes for the inside. It is still the same old Bull with a coat of paint and a new menu. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The menu is good and the food was well presented and very tasty - Black Pudding and Mozzarelle Fritters, scrummy. Good to see that it is still used as a village pub with quite a few regulars popping in. It could still do with a real facelift though to bring it more up to date. We had a lovely lunch and it was good value for money. Thank you :)

Table of 9, drinks arrived promptly. Food arrive all at the same time which is good for quite a large table. Everyone really enjoyed the quality of the food and the service provided. We will be back again.

Absolutely Superb.Took My Mum For Afternoon Tea For Her Birthday.The Sandwiches where gorgeous.proper boiled ham and not processed stuff.really tasty cheese.stunning little cheese cakes.scones and clotted cream...tasted all homemade.served with coffee and tea... £8 per person...Staff where so lovely...really friendly.. nothing was to much trouble...good parking and brilliant beer garden...

Partner and I booked a table on Saturday night, time to dress up after a day exhibiting at the Anglesey Vintage Rally. Enjoyed a meal there last year, and weren't disappointed this year either. Service was so friendly and prompt, nothing was too much trouble. Our starters and mains (no room for puds!) were prepared and served with friendliness and professionalism and a smile. Our table was near the kitchen serving hatch and was a delight to watch the kitchen staff. The kitchen seemed to be run like clockwork and so professional and it showed how they took their jobs seriously and with much pride in what they were doing. Mesmerising! Steak was excellent, salad was very 'posh' (not your normal lettuce, tomato and cucumber). Everything was very well presented and cooked to perfection, couldn't fault anything at all. Will certainly recommend to friends and will book another table this time next year, when we visit Anglesey again for the vintage rally. I thanked the chef personally, which she seemed genuinely pleased about, so well done.
