My wife and myself visited while we were passing. Service off the young lady behind the bar was spot on. Food was served quickly and piping hot. Very generous portion size. If we are ever in the area again we will for sure be popping in

We visited on Friday as we could see there was an offer for 2 for 1 fish and chips and oh my, can I just say we were not disappointed. We had 2 massive portions of fish and for only £13.95 we could not complain. We will definitely be returning in the future for any other offers and highly recommend anyone else to visit this wonderful establishment.

Came here today for carvery. Could not fault a single thing. Staff very attentive and welcoming and food was spot on. Will 100% will be returning.

Why advertise 2for1 when clearly your having half a meal if you could call it that !! small plates tiny fish child's portion would be bigger,just moved into area hoping to visit regularly want be back staff not interested in any feed back

Went for Sunday carvery. On walking in we felt unsure but thought no don't judge a book by its cover. Got drinks were shown to table we were unsure whether we had to go bar to order or if there was somewhere to help ourselves. We were debating leaving at this point because of the look of things but stayed, although wish we had left. After a while we asked another guest who said carvery was in the other room and you help yourself. The manager/owner then showed us were to go. Food counter looked good with selection of meats and vegetables. But next to it was a closed glass double door absolutely covered in flies although didn't see any around the food counter it was very off-putting. Needs a good overhaul lightshades were broken radiator looked dirty this could be a unique place if given update it's a lovely building that desperately needs TLC

We’ve been here for their incredible carvery on a Sunday and their à la carte menu and both amazing. My dad said the vegan shepherds pie is the best meal he’s ever had. The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. Food served quickly. Couldn’t rate it enough. Highly recommend

Excellent Sunday roast . My parents are housebound so they have kindly provided us with takeaway Sunday lunches on a number of occasions now . Would highly recommend. Really friendly and helpful staff . Can’t wait for Christmas Day as we have ordered our Christmas lunches which we are sure will be of the usual excellent standard.

Booked a table for myself and the family, walked in place was empty, I should of walked out to be honest but thought I’ll give it a try. Ordered fish and chips, service was good but the fish stank, not sure of what but it was disgusting, my wife informed the staff that the fish was off but they still charged us full price. I can honestly say I’ll never set food in that stinky place again!

We went for a Saturday evening meal. The staff were friendly and very helpful, accommodating us quickly when we asked to move our table to a quieter location. The menu has a wide selection of dishes and the food arrived quickly and was delicious. We were very impressed with the quality of both the service and the food. This was the best pub meal we can ever remember having!

Was passing through & the reviews indicated that this would be a good place to have a pint and have food... I only wished I'd not ordered the meal at the same time as the pint.. I ordered lager.. Took it straight back. It tasted like vinegar.. I got another pint (different brand ).. That also tasted rank. Unfortunately we had already ordered 2 house special curries. It was the weirdest madras I have ever tasted. I definitely would not have called it this.. Meanwhile we had the joys of listening to the landlord shouting and bawling constantly at the chef without a thought for us sitting within earshot.. We left as soon ASAP.. Oh and they even charged us for the returned pint that was clearly not pulled off after the barrel was changed.. Don't go

Amazing! We came yesterday for a family members surprise birthday meal. The food cooked by Matty and the other chefs was amazing! 14 meals all sent out and each one was perfect. Very welcoming place with a great atmosphere! Would recommend anyone to bring your family and friends here!

Food was delicious. Welcome was warm and polite. Our food arrived quickly. A check was made after service to ensure everything was ok. Food was very reasonably priced. It is well worth visiting the Trevor Arms in Marford. We will return.

Not one to usually leave reviews but felt it was too good not to after such amazing service. Such good service is very rare these days. We tried 2 other places in the area to eat with no luck and stumbled upon the Trefor arms. Glad we found here as it was a little gem. Both my husband and I had the curries and our son had a pizza. Everything was amazing. Hoping to be able to return for the carvery in future.

Took my dad for lunch today and we received a very warm welcome from the owner. We both ordered curry's which were delicious - highly recommended

Just got back from eating here. We greeted on arrival by a very friendly guy. One of those people who you have an instant rapport with. I had a lamb curry and my wife had the lamb shank. The food was perfect. We really enjoyed it. Toilets which where immaculate. Very happy with this place. Cant wait to go back.

We went to the Trevor this evening with our 2 young boys (6&7), Dev the manager was very welcoming, food was fantastic. The curry was delicious, kids meals very good portions/quality, will be back again.

We went to the Trevor Arms for the first time & we were very impressed. The food was excellent well prepared presented & reasonably priced. The service was also great from the staff as they were welcoming to us & our dog.They were helpful & very pleasant. We would recommend this pub & would definitely return.

Called in 2 nights ago. Have to say this place didnt look set up as the perfect eating place upon arrival, as wede booked a table and no table was set up for us. The gentleman handed out the menu and explained the extras he had. Then came back to take our order. What a great guy, absolute gent! Not often I say that. He really was a legend So I ordered steak medium and when it arrived it was perfect!!!! A really really lovely meal had by myself and partner, he had slow cooked beef. Really lovely and will def go back xxx

Have just returned from here after having a lovely evening with fantastic food and amazing service. The staff cannot do enough for you and the food was delicious and hot and freshly cooked. Could not fault anything and will certainly be back very soon. Excellent

Early evening Birthday Dinner for my wife and 21 family members. The food was excellent with a choice of the Indian Buffet or from the main menu, the staff were also extremely helpful. I cannot praise the Trevor Arms enough as they were very accommodating at fitting in our party at very short notice. Will definitely be returning.

we booked our first ever christmas dinner out at the trevor arms this year, from the moment we walked into this lovely country pub the welcome was warm and welcoming, the log fire was roaring in the grate, the decor was very festive and the staff were lovely, for starters 3 had salmon and crayfish salad,2 had the chicken liver pate, we all throughly enjoyed both, we all had the full turkey with trimmings, the veg dish was full of fresh veg piping hot and cooked perfectly, i asked for an extra jug of gravy as i really hate a dry meal and it came straight away, the roast potatoes were crispy and hot and the three thick slices of turkey were moist and juicy, we all had clean plates and sent our compliments to the chief, after a very short break 3 of us enjoyed xmas pud and custard, 1 the chocolate torte with fresh cream and i chose the cheese board which was just enough to finish a wonderful meal. we had coffee and mince pies to close and cant praise the staff and management enough for a wonderful meal, this was our first ever meal out on christmas day, but i can assure you it wont be our last, and we will have no hesitation in booking the trevor arms next year, but in the following months, for birthdays and other such get togethers, we will be booking a table here. thank you all so much for making our day so special.

Service was excellent; staff were very friendly - both serving staff and bar staff; atmosphere very festive; decorations luxurious; a roaring fire was burning; food was delicious - lots of it and good value. We were very well looked after and we had an excellent time there during our visit on Christmas Day.

Poor service drinks overpriced and poor selection, staff rude behind the bar. No restraunt tables in bar not clean toilet smell throught, poor quality food and slow service, in need of new management. A lack of locals gave it a bad atmosphere.

We booked a table for a Saturday as friends were coming over we wre informed there was a large party going on in restaurant part. So we opted for a table in the bar area lovely cosy area with about 6 tables there. The waitress a lovely lady could not do enough for us took drink order straight away, then brought menus. Gave us about 10 mins to decide returned took the order after recommending the sea bass. Not a big choice on the menu but all cooked fresh which we prefer. We ordered curry, gammon, sea bass chick pea burger. Food was excellent and came pretty quickly considering the large party and other diners. Usually we don’t have desserts but went for 3 waffles and a sticky toffee pudding again excellent. Praise should go to the waitress who was excellent efficient polite and also quite funny.

I ate here last night with a friend who lives locally and what a find! The service was attentive but not suffocating, the atmosphere was relaxed, the pub was warm (this is not always the case with older buildings) and the food was homemade, tasty and a reasonable price. There were screens for sport. Seriously considering catching the bus from Chester one weekend to check it out further. My friend seemed to think they sometimes have live music but wasn't sure??

We stopped off at the Trevor Arm on Friday night just for a drink. At 6pm the was around 5 couples in eating.

Very nice early evening meal, lovely staff and a great atmosphere plenty of people enjoying a drink as well as food.

We visited last Sunday for a Birthday meal for my partners birthday. The food was amazing!! We all had something different, some had carvery, some had off the main menu. There were 16 of us all together and everyone was very happy with their choices. The staff were very helpful and could not do enough for us. Would highly recommend to everyone. Can’t wait to go again for the next family gathering!!

We stayed here for 2 nights. The bed was awful, old and tired, the mattress felt lumpy and was like sleeping on a trampoline. The sheets and mattress protecter didn’t fit and rucked up all night. Room was small with very poor lighting. And cobwebs with dead spiders in the light shade. Breakfast wasn’t up to standard and you have to make your own toast and drinks, at one point we thought we would have to cook it ourselves! The staff were very friendly though which is a shame it could be so nice with a bit of money spent on it. Alex polizzi would have a fit! Sadly we won’t be returning

We stayed for two nights first night OK had lovely meal in bar second night fire alarm going of one o clock in the morning for hours had no sleep it also happened two weeks before so fireman told us no owner living in the house everyone standing in yard no fire no info in room about anything fireman had to put smoke detector in rooms before he was satisfied we could go back in contact owners had no response regarding money back for lack of sleep still waiting for reply from Monday

A group of us went for a meal and all had something different off the menu and we were all very pleased with our dishes. Very tasty, good portions and all served by friendly staff.

Myself and 2 friends stayed here during Rock The Park Festival and couldn't fault the staff, who were exceptional and super friendly! Then the rooms were great for the price we paid, clean and fresh! The food was amazing (an especially great hangover cure :)).

I stayed in the Trevor arms hotel never again! Firstly the beds weren’t made properly and there was bumps in the mattress that hurt my back, the carpets were filthy, then the worst thing happened there was a leak coming through the roof which soaked all my clothes, shoes and documents and I think it was the owner he made me turn the electric off myself I don’t think it’s a customers job to do that So I got moved to a room with filthy smelly carpets but nothing was said about my belongings. I will definitely never be staying again you’d have to pay me to stay there! Hotel staff are so arrogant

Firstly don't be put off by the negative reviews. I was so worried about visiting when reading the previous reviews especially as I normally book 4 star and above hotels. We booked for three nights as it was close to the Carfest event we were attending and knew we didn't require facilities just a clean comfy bed and breakfast. Room was two single beds, had fresh clean towels and toiletries on the bed for us. Plenty of storage and a large widescreen TV (We didn't use) We were in a downstairs room so did hear people walking around upstairs but not enough to put us off staying. Bathroom had a bath and shower and large sink area so plenty of room for our own toiletries. We had dinner on the first evening which was home cooked and delicious. We could not eat a dessert as the main was plentiful. Breakfast on each morning was adequate, cereals, juice, toast and cooked option. Basic but adequate and kept us going all day. Staff were friendly as were the locals we spoke to in the bar on the first couple of evenings. For what we paid and what we got I felt it was value for money so please don't let the reviews put you off.

We checked into our room at 11:30pm and as soon as we walked in it was boiling hot like a sauna. No windows, no air con. I’m currently laying here unable to sleep dripping in sweat. I’ve had to leave the room twice and go outside because I can’t breath.

What a lovely pub ! called in for dinner because we are too lazy and tired to to cook after a day at work, just fancied a beer and good pub meal. This is my kinda place, great relaxed atmosphere, nice beer and bloody good food & loads of it!!! service was excellent A1 ! Staff attentive and aware of their customers at all times, we really felt waited on and well served. If your after somewhere to go for a bloody good meal and a drink in a nice relaxing place, try the Trevor Arms. Keep up the good work all we will be back !

What a lovely Sunday Carvery the best one for a long time .the staff were excellent even when I used my tastecard on wrong day

I booked to stay for a night for mine and my partners anniversary. And booked a table in the restaurant to have our evening meal. Upon arrival there is no reception to cheap in. Instead you are asked to check in at the bar, carrying suitcases whilst everyone is drinking at the bar.

Very unimaginative and menu always the same...could do with a bit more atmosphere but the the staff are helpful and friendly

Came here with my youngest Grandson for lunch a few weeks ago. As I am disabled and he too young to go to the bar we sat at a table near the door so that I did not have to get the wheelchair out. A lovely Lady came over to see what we wanted and when I explained I could not stand at the bar she was so helpful. (I usually have to put telephone number in my mobile to get attention in a strange pub).

Spent the weekend here at Marfest 5. What an absolutely fantastic weekend. Fantastic atmosphere, music and food and not overpriced. Our room was lovely. Clean, charming and easily accessible. Jobin and his team worked so hard and the results where fantastic. Well worth a visit.
