Called in today for lunch. We received a warm welcome as soon as we walked in. Enjoyed an absolutely delicious steak pie and chips. The veggies were beautiful and the gravy so tasty. We will be regular visitors from now on and will try a coffee and bara brith on our next visit. Thank you for your hospitality and for accommodating our special request with the food with such kindness it was much appreciated.

Came in today with 2 dogs, really dog friendly, staff were great. Super busy as its new years day but didn't wait long for food at all. Burger was one of the best I've had. Steak pie was delish. Shame we don't live closer as we would definitely be regulars. Thank you 😋😋😋😋

As we arrived we were told that the kitchen was not ready to start taking orders just yet (that was 12.30). Guy behind the bar very pleasant and kept us informed as to when the kitchen opened. Placed an order and was told that there could be a wait as there were a few orders in before us. To be fair though the food didn’t take long. However the food was not great, fish overcooked (frozen battered) chips were really not very good as they were very bitty, overcooked and full of oil. This establishment could be so much better considering the location. Seems that they are looking just to cater for visitors and not locals as the food would not make you want to return.

The place is incredibly popular given its location. The food was great, proper home-cooked comfort food. However it could do with a bit of a facelift. The staff were friendly enough and we were served quite quickly too.

The friendly service , welcoming and fabulous food was a breath of fresh air. ( our previous night we had long waits and terrible service an disappointing food) The Telford Inn is how it should be done. All the food we had was at the highest level. A must try is the Pearl las mushrooms and the steak pie snd syrup sponge. 6 in our group and we all had something different in 2 visits and all was amazing. Our first visit, and hopefully not our last. I should begin with worst part, which is that this wonderful old building has seen better days. It is a little run down, to say the least, but not surprising as the running costs must be huge. That said, I enjoyed one of the best steak pie meals that I have ever had. Top and bottom short crust pastry and packed with lean, well cooked steak chunks... I highly recommend that, if pie is your thing. I'll also add that the staff were friendly and attentive and the cost didn't break the bank.

A pub that takes its location and history for granted. If it wasn’t for the prime placement of this pub by the aqueduct it would struggle for business. The service me and my grandparents received was really poor. Was told to wait 2 mins to be served while the barmaid stood there doing absolutely diddly. She would then discover ,once she had decided to serve me the line had to be changed. While taking two other pints outside I was told the line had been fixed and she could finally pour my pint. When I came back she then decided to serve other customers. Once again I had to wait. Note: Two Shandies and a Lager was £15 I wpuld recommend this pub to anyone who likes being disappointed. The excitement I felt seeing this pub after coming off the aqueduct was truly unmatched. And the disappointment was even greater.

We couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome. The food was great with a wide menu choice and because the weather for June wasn’t the warmest, we were welcomed into a room where our tired, reactive dog could be left alone to chill. She also enjoyed her doggy dinner of sausage, rice and veg. The burgers are very filling and the Welsh madras curry had a nice kick to it. Plenty of outside and inside space to make yourself comfortable in, all on top of the Pontcysyllte world heritage site. Definitely worth a visit and a pint with lunch! Thank you to the staff at the Telford.

I don’t usually like leaving a bad review anywhere but when the food is so poor I have no choice unfortunately, the pub had run out of Sunday dinners which is fair enough as it was quite busy, So we chose something else from the menu I west for a bacon cheeseburger and chips and I can honestly say it’s the worst burger I have eaten must of had no more than 50 -60% meat content it was like mush, the chips were frozen chips which is fair enough as it’s a busy place but they wasn’t very nice, my wife had fish, chips and mushy peas the fish was a frozen battered mushy piece of fish that you can get at a local supermarket sodden in grease which for 15.95 it just doesn’t cut it unfortunately, very substandard produce for the prices charged which is a shame as the bar staff were really great although one of the servers did pour my chips all over the table by accident which was quickly rectified and she got me a new portion of soggy frozen chips. The location is stunning and with the correct guidance and produce could be a really great asset to the local community

Don’t we all love a spoons? Had a lot of good times in the north and south bank spent with friends. Very good value and the food is surprisingly nice. Sometimes the queue can be edging on the ludicrous on a Saturday night but that’s the same with everywhere. The only real downside is that it isn’t open 24/7!

While killing time in Wrexham stumbled across this little cafe tucked away at the entrance to a arcade which leads to Wrexham Indoor Market. The patisserie is on street level but upstairs there is a little cafe which served a delicious breakfast just as your mum would make you when you were a schoolboy. Big chunks of toast followed by scrambled eggs. The coffee was excellent all for less than £10.
