While my husband was doing business and we were staying at the wonderful Angel Hotel I decided to book high tea. Everything was perfect from the tea pots to the yummy treats to the excellent service it was a lovely filling experience.

Went out for breakfast as a group of 5. Firstly I will say it’s very cheaply priced. £10 for a full breakfast and chips including tea or coffee so normally I would chalk it up to you get what you pay for but it really would be better to charge a couple of quid more or knock off the chips to be able to offer a better standard. Very small, incredibly cheap sausage (it made ASDA smart priced sausages seem gourmet) a scraggy bit of bacon more fat than meat, a small spoon full of beans served in plastic pots. I ordered with no tomato but got no fried bread or black pudding. Another of our party asked for no black pudding and got no toast, another ordered full breakfast and got no hash browns so whoever was in the kitchen was pretty hopeless (we were the only ones in eating so it wasn’t busy) Like I said it’s very cheap in price but next time I’ll opt for going elsewhere even if I have to pay a little bit extra.

We had Sunday lunch here - group of 7- how disappointing- service was atrocious food came out luke warm and it took an age for it to be delivered to the table. Then they couldn’t wait to get rid of us after we’d finished - such a disappointing experience. We commented about the service when we paid as we weren’t happy about the service charge and said we were disappointed in the service and he just shrugged his shoulders and didn’t even attempt an apology. We wouldn’t hurry back.

I was able to book online for the same evening ( midweek). We were welcomed warmly, and were impressed by the lovely interior of the pub. Although it is a Marston’s pub, the menu was different to the norm. Everything was made in house, and we loved the choices. My husband couldn’t resist a starter ( black pudding fritters), followed by a steak burger and loved both. I had the chilli, which was also delicious. The home made chips were to die for! Altogether a very good meal and evening. We will be back!

A great dog friendly pub that offers good food and massive portions. Friendly staff and a real happy local pub that is pleasantly busy but not rowdy or unwelcoming... Ideally located near to the castle and other tourist attractions.

Sadly we had to cancel our stay and were unable to attend wedding of very close family members. No food at all (not even a basic breakfast!) no available accommodation nearby or in neighbouring villages. Booking.com information out of date; they even got phone number wrong. Can’t comment on rooms as never got to stay, although they look very dated. For obvious reasons can’t recommend The Red Lion - Llangadog! A family event that we can’t recapture.

The worst service and atmosphere ever threw my food into the sandwich! Did not want to serve as they had already cleaned down, althought it was four in the afternoon and they close at 6 pm. I never write reviews could not believe the service and how the girl was employed, she is clearly not happy working at all. Food was good rest was awful!

It's so lovely to finally be able to go to a restaurant that you know are understanding of allergens. The chef really knows his menu and the ingredients in it. I really wanted the moules marinere as I hadn't been able to have them since I discovered my dairy intolerance. However I also have an intolerance to eggs and it said it had eggs in the dish. The chef advised it was only on the bread so we switched out the bread and boom I had yummy moules marinere. Portions are massive (too big for me but I'm always happy to go home with a doggy bag), food is good quality and yummy. The interior design is relaxing and cosy. I highly recommend. We'd love to see a gluten free beer on tap in the future. But they do have a few in bottles. We live fairly far away but we'll be sure to return whenever we're in the area.

Never again. £4 odd for large chips. Didnt see her put it together. Opened when home to find a small portion suposed to be large. Chips were greasy and sqaushy. Compleate rip off. Used to be good, same people but they lost the plot.

Food was really nice....one member of staff in particular needs to work on her attitude though if she's going to be entrusted to deal with paying customers.
