Great breakfast - great price - exactly what you would expect from a Wetherspoons. Staff all seem friendly and help full too.

The place was packed out tonight but drinks and food were quick and the tables and glasses were cleared quickly at the end of the night when having coffee Patrick got us take away cup he was friendly and helpful thank u for being so kind all the staff are nice

Hash browns crumbled away. Bacon rind burnt and bitter. Service quite quick. It’s interesting how the breakfasts can vary in Spoons. This wasn’t great. Parking is terrible!

spot on. The only reason I knocked a star off is because a guy who I assume was a manager was speaking to the staff like they were dirt on his shoes. He had no people skills and seemed to love himself. A shame really because my night was awesome apart from hearing staff being bullied by a cheb. He was just barking orders at them unnecessarily to show his ultimate might, the helmet.

Myself and my wife both had a snack, sourdough chicken n bacon roll and a wrap, both really good and with a drink it was around £5.50 each,spoons has its critics and I can be one but this was one of the best, staff nice too!

Stayed for the weekend of the Welsh open snooker 17th till the 19th February, 2nd time here great place to stay. As the name suggests central to everything. Room was clean, warm plenty of fresh towels, tea, coffee very spacious ....and the breakfast is beautifully home cooked with a good selection of cold drinks and cereals. Will be definitely booking the central again on our next snooker venture to Llandudno.

Nice wetherspoons. Popped in for a coffee whilst waiting for a train. Lovely setting, toilets upstairs, as a lot of spoons toilets are. Not too busy.

The guy who was in charge told us we had to leave on a Sunday at 6:30 as apparently I looked too 'young' to eat food . Been here multiple times without a problem though.

Weatherspoons shotton, food ordered , 4 meals were OK, the 5th a cheese burger was absolutely shocking (burned shrivelled + rock solid meat.this meal was returned, to kitchen , a replacement was given. This replacement was marginally better , we complained to manager, who after we convinced him that the replacement was also not acceptable, offered a REFUND . HOWEVER, because we had been entitled to a 20% discount for all 5 meals ,the discount amounted to a 19pence refund. The manager putting it politely (was adamant) !! it was not up for discussion. dispite, 1 of our party ,NOT having had mea l+1 member of the partys food getting cold while this was sorted the total compensation , for a ruined afternoon, WAS 19 pence. Weatherspoons shotton , I feel are few areas of customer satisfaction loo king at. 1 star for the food we consumed 4 removed for , attitude of STAFF

On the ride home after dropping friends at Manchester Airport my wife and I decided to have an early meal out and avoid the hassle of cooking and cleaning that evening. On our way home was Wetherspoons, Shotton where we had been on more than one occasion in the past. Now you don't go to this type of venue for the ambience or a culinary experience, it's cheap and sometimes cheerful and usually edible. And as I say we had eaten here before, but usually I would opt for the mixed grill or a sirloin on steak night. The 2 meals with drinks came to less than £17, can't argue with that, well not normally 🤔 My wife chose the Small cod and chips, which most certainly would have held up under The Trades descriptions act😊 The fish wasn't so much covered, but ambushed in batter, but in fairness she said what was on the plate was tasty enough. Being a Curry Club night, I opted for Chicken Tikka Massala, which was served with 4 poppadoms, rice and Naan bread. Quite a plateful for the price. The poppadoms were tasty and crisp as you would expect, but that was where expectations ended. This meal should never have left the kitchen, and no self respecting chef would have allowed it to. Chef should be sacked!! The curry itself was luke warm, and had it been served hot, I might have enjoyed it. The rest of the plate was stone cold. Naan bread, A large whiter than white piece of undercooked dough, dripping in grease. When you lifted up this Quatermass Experiment the oil literally ran onto the plate. Disgusting 😱 The block of rice was a culinary masterpiece. A cold congealed lump which could be lifted in its entirety with one stab of my fork. I repeat, should never have been allowed to leave the kitchen. Anyone reading this review would most likely question why I didn't send this straight back, and normally I wouldn't have hesitated to do so. I ate some of the curry along with the poppadoms, and having waited 15 minutes to place my order, and seeing the queue with just the 2 members of staff trying hopelessly to cope, I thought better of it. Understaffing, another exercise Wetherspoons seem to excel at😡 We shall not return 🤮

Well I am very disappointed in its quality of food we ordered 1 burger and chips to be bought over very poor 15 chips a burger on a small bap 2meal we ordered a chicken burger and chips but it come with a small blow of salad, no chips 3 meal chips burger come with onion rings and gravy told the lady she said we ran out of them so I asked did you run out of chips course Iceland is just up the road than to top it off two lads come in had the same as us and had a plate of chips and a big bap for his burger never go there for food again I am going to the environmental health waits and measure.

Called in for a late lunch on Saturday. We were 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Our drinks and food came quickly. The place was clean Quiet customers Very attentive staff who were polight and checked everything was OK ect Toilets clean and well stocked Would happily return

One of the worst wetherspoons I've been to.the pub was filthy. Disabled toilets were so bad that I had to walk up stairs to equally filthy toilets. Still in a pandemic. , please clean.

If you want cheap & cheerful this is it. Clean usually, if not mad busy. They do a good breakfast & have decent offers on. Next to the train station with parking available aswell.

Right next to Shotton station, so handy if you are waiting for a train. Good, clean bar with a good atmosphere and JDW's usual wide menus , all good value. Staff were OK, a decent place for a drink

Burger & drink less than £8 cant complain!! Wasnt very busy, food can quickly & was hot. They appeared to have a shortage of stuffing so we had to go without.

Staff ok but lack of staff showed in dirty plates ganging around. Food o. Floor etc. Food was poor to say tbe least wish I stayed at home. The pub needs a decorating and definately needs a giid ckean.

If you like to get treated badly by children staff.... then this is the place for you!The food isn’t bad for how cheap it is. Most meals come with a drink as a deal.I ordered a burger that comes with a drink for £6.95. Although I never got my Diet Pepsi because I used the app and the app didn’t register the drink. Instead I got a bad attitude from Louise Moore the “manager on shift” because I asked for the drink I paid for... should have been a simple resolve, It’s clear I’ve paid for a drink as there’s no price for just a burger on its own. Her managerial skills she clearly missed that training session or read it off the back of a stamp. Anyway I ended up getting told to eat my drink and get out and I’m barred for 3 months due to her bad attitude and lack of customer service. I would never step foot on this Wetherspoons again anyway. It was just easy for a quick dinner time food dash!

Pop into for a few pints before getting the train,service was good and friendly and price really good,even had a look for a phone charger has my phone was dying,pub was really busy but got a seat no problem,toilets where really clean.had some nachos which arrive really quickly and where nice.

Myself and my daughter went for breakfast, good service, friendly staff and served very quickly to our table.

The customer service in this Wetherspoons is ALWAYS fantastic. The staff go above and beyond and the food is excellent. Wholeheartedly recommend it!!

good food and good drinks, however not enough low carb choices for either. the prices need to be lower than the well to do tourist area of Chester.

The Central Hotel must be one of the best pubs in North Wales for real ale. The ‘guy in charge’ selects great ale and delivers it in excellent condition. On my Sunday visit I had the Purple Moose Snowdonia Ale ... superb condition pulled to my liking. The best beer I’ve had this year.

We went late Saturday afternoon and all 4 of us had different meals. We have to say it was surprisingly good with plenty on the plates. They say you get what you pay for but with Wetherspoons you get more than you have a rigbt to expect. Main meals averaging around £8 and a number including a drink or deals on 2 meals. Can get very busy but we have always found the service excellent. If you are hungry or maybe just want a quick VFM meal you cant go far wrong with a Spoons.

My wife and I thought we would kill time here having a drink whilst we waited for our train. Our mistake was to have our dog with us. We firstly stood in the outside area for a couple of minutes while we decided what drinks to have but were immediately accosted by what I at first thought was a customer but turned out to be a member of staff on a “smoke break.” He told us in no uncertain terms that dogs were not allowed either outside or inside the premises, company policy apparently. Fair enough but I thought I would check inside the pub to see if it was true as we’ve seen dogs tolerated outside Wetherspoons at home and elsewhere. Another member of the bar staff reiterated the policy but said if we stood towards the far end of of the outside area it should be ok. Given that there was nobody else outside anyway this seemed a bit more like it so I went to get my wife and returned inside and bought drinks. In the meantime the original member of staff must have shot outside to move my wife and dog behind the surrounding fence and then came back inside to find me and say “I thought I’d told you ..” etc. My suggestion is that whoever is running this gaff should get a grip, it was just a little dog for goodness sake. Maybe concentrate more on the attitude of your staff, that would be a good starting point! In any case some of the reviews further down this column suggest that the pub is a good stopping off place for dog walkers, either way I wouldn’t touch it with a barge pole. I’ve attached a photo of the threatening hound so you can gauge the scale of the problem for yourself

Its a weatherspoons so not much to say, great service, food is ok and prices are great, not much more can be said other than that.

Always love a weatherspoons me, great value food and drinks and a decent selection of both. Can’t beat the burgers and beer deals etc. Glad to see they are putting a couple of extra options on the breakfast menu, I miss the avocado bagels, maybe the muffins will work as well.

It's ok but they need to stop the smack heads coming in asking for fags and Money even coming up to out side table grabbing fags ends when Ur sitting there. It upsets some people specialy the vunreble. But won't do anything until someone gets hurt

I went for a meal with my work colleagues very nice food, fast service, I used the mobile phone app so we didn't have to go to the till. lovely staff will visit again and

We called in today, okay there was one person on bar so waited a bit.to get served as there was a que. That's what it's like in most branded places but was amazed on how quick was the food coming out even if we did not get it all togethed the food was very good..

My husband and I have never been disappointed in this Wetherspoons. The staff are friendly, service great even when busy. I recommend if you are having the breakfast to go in earlier as it’s less busy. It gets busy Saturday after 10. Whenever we are traveling by train or going to the airport we call in here and it sets us up for the trip. They do a side of black pudding and it’s perfectly cooked and very tasty. Their jack daniels sauce that comes with the southern fried chicken strips is amazing and the chicken is real breast not processed or ground.

My first time here didn't realize there was a wetherspoons in shotten well pleasing great pint and excellent staff. Sorry didn't try the food but what I saw looked very good and many tucking in .

No sugar for drinks, food served quite quick but not hot. Fired eggs like rubber, my poached egg size of a 50p piece. Usually OK, but even the black pudding was frazzled.

Serves food until quite late in the evening & the menu,whilst somewhat limited is good value. Often a drink is included in package.

We have visited numerous wetherspoons pups around the UK. I had a steak and it was the best one I have had. We were served by a lady called claire who went out of her way to make everyone feel very welcome .

We popped into this Wetherspoons on our way home from Liverpool, we literally found it by chance after putting ‘Wetherspoons’ into the sat-nav and this was the first one to come up. We were greeted by a member of staff on arrival and then given time to find a table and have a look at the menu, when I went to the bar to order the bar-man was friendly and approachable. Food came quickly, absolutely amazing quality and taste, both were hot and filled us up very well! We managed to squeeze in a desert and shared a Hot Chocolate Fudge Cake with Custard, which again did not disappoint! We were overall really impressed and very much enjoyed our meals! If we are ever passing again, we will definitely be making a return visit!

Called in on a Wednesday night with my son. The place was very quiet. About 6 tables were uncleared and had dirty plates that had not been tidied up. These were left during our entire visit. We had 3 starters for £10. 3 lots of my favourite chicken wings. These came to us only just hot. And we're only just cooked. Slight pink in the middle. We did not complain as we were told that the staff on duty were all from another branch that night. This is not good Wetherspoons. This branch needs a good kick up the b.side.

A wonderful cooked breakfast the other day with my wife, good service and pleasant friendly staff. We were very impressed by the attitude of the gent who brought our brekkie, I think the mngr, who not only ensured that we were happy, but also patiently ensured that the little girl who was cleaning tables, knew all that she needed to do her job. A great attitude as she needed assurance from time to time.

A typical spacious, homely well stocked, extensive menu Wetherspoons, always reliable and friendly staff. Top marks!

this once grand establishment could do with a good clean---take a step back--sit down at a window seat and observe your surroundings---build up of dust on the frames of the chairs---corners of the carpets that have been missed--- I wont go on---on the plus side the welsh lamb broth was very tasty and my pint of rev. john was well kept and went down a treat.

Ok so my partner and I have eaten here a few times as live locally. Food is good. It's reasonably priced and nothing special but it's nice. Staff are fine usually and have no complaints there. Obviously this isn't fancy food but it's nice if you want something not to expensive. The long Island iced tea is nice. It can be strong though depending on who makes it but I don't mind that to much.

Ordered a burger meal..Which arrived within 3 minutes..???..Suffice to say it must have been kicking around under some form of heat lamp for some time...It was horrendous .And dried to almost a crisp....When the server came to ask if everything was OK..I told him no it was pathetic and uneatable...He merely shrugged and walked away...Which is actually typical of the attitude of most of the Staff there...I think the old adage ..Pay peanuts..Get Monkeys ..Comes to mind here...The whole place seems to run on fear and intimidation..Which is hardly the way to enthuse your Staff...One of the kitchen staff stormed out the other week ..Having had enough of the regime ..No doubt..The area Manager needs to sort himself out..And learn to manage his underlings properly instead of intimidating everyone..He should go on a training course and learn that everything is not about TARGETS....PS...The Bar service is still pathetic ..And understaffed 80% of the time...Wetherspoons Business model is a joke....

We called in for a quick bite to eat mid afternoon. It was quite busy but a few empty which were litter with dirty glasses & plates. We found a clear table but I needed a clean. The food came promptly it was hot & satisfactory.

The waiting times to be served seems to get worse. The food also the mixed grill was that bad I couldn't tell you what I was eating so just left it.

First Wetherspoons burger night for me and fair play it was pretty good. Dinner for 4 with a drink for less than £35 just cannot be beaten. Yes I have had better burgers but not for anywhere near that kind of money.

I often go to The central because it is very reasonable and staff are great we only had a latte today made by mark they were lovely and nicer than costa

Food is cheap and you get what you pay for. Sometimes food is nice other times the same meal is not so good. Could also be cleaner. Often then cutlery and classes are dirty. That said it is cheap and quick so handy for a low price meal and drink in a rush.

Who on earth came up for the idea for a curry hotdog?!? They need a promotion. The menu had been updated since my last visit and the burgers and fancy hotdogs were winners with all the family. Kids found some new tangled app on the old iPhone which meant no queuing at the bar and drinks brought over. All in all a top visit as the wife drove and I didn't have to leave my chair. Beer lovely and cold as ever curry hotdog wheat ever next???

We have visited a few times and Wetherspoon Management need to give this place an immediate inspection. So many issues to resolve from dirty plates/glasses left for ages piled up. Dirty tables/menus, wrong or late orders. Dirty and lack of condiments.Outside areas dirty.The whole place needs cleaning and staff need more training.Lets hope my next visit when we come back from Malta sees a great improvement.

We had set off early doors from Stockport to miss the motorway traffic as we were on route to a funeral up the road from The Central hotel.Glad we spotted this place as we arrived earlier than expected on, staff were lovely and friendly ordered the large breakfast & scrambled egg on toast but asked the staff to adjust my order as I don't eat bread & asked if the scrambled egg could be put on a wrap... not a problem, large breakfast looked lovely nice & hot and the scrambled egg was in a lovely parcel wrapped wrap and was lovely to as the egg was nice & light/fluffy. Unlimited filtered coffee was nice & fresh to....Great breakfast

We ate here on a Sunday evening. The pub was busy but there were several tables free. The pub had a friendly atmosphere even for younger children and the food and drink is well priced and good quality

Well once again service was great had a latte and mocha and it was really nice thanks for a great service

Well can I? Seems to be a if your face fits competition to get served. Tried to order a pint it's either ran out or the manager can't be found or the old favourite it's on to clean. The only one of the several managers who seems to do anything is the big tall bald chap who's name I haven't grabbed the rest just seem to be sat on the floor behind the bar or giving staff an earful infront of the customers. It is pretty cheap and the coffee is nice

Myself and my family often pop to weatherspoons ( the central ) if we fancy having dinner out or a drink. We are always greeted with a smile and often the serbers will stop by table for a hello and a quick chat if they are quiet. It's a cosy feel to the place and I really like the fact there isnt a straight forward theme to the place, like you get in many places, it's a little hap hazard really,. but that makes the place have character I feel. There are several servers and bar staff that are always friendly/ The only thing I feel that lets them down is they run out of stuff sometimes, I not sure I understand how as they are not overly busy as not a big pub, but other than that it's great value for money. I think when people enter places like this, they have to remember it isn't a big restaurant and you are paying a reasonable price for a decent lay out of food.

I don't normally write reviews but my visit was so sad it was almost funny, I went for breakfast with my friend and her son Sunday morning, the first time iv ever been here, I'm myself work in the pub tried so know how busy amd stressful it can be but by no means was this pub busy so I was surprised that I was not even acknowledged by the bar staff as I was waiting to order, I ordered before my friend and only ordered Egg Benedict and coffee, we sat down and it was nearly 10 minutes before a sever came over amd told me that they are sorry they had ran out of Eggs Benedict but they could cook it me with a fried egg? I asked what he ment by he could do it me with a fried ago amd told me they have no poached eggs but can make me a fried egg with it, I can only assume they ran out of hot water or the chef did not know how to cook pochard eggs?? I always order Eggs Benedict because I know that its all cooked fresh or so I thought but clearly all the poached eggs are precooked if they had ran out, when I asked could they not please cook me a fresh poached egg I was told they can't as they had ran out but can cook me a fried egg, when I pointed out this would take the same time I was told I can but can have a fried egg, I just laughed and said yes ok but can I please have fresh fried eggs as I like them runny, then the server left to the kitchen, my friend amd her sons full English breakfast both came together and they had both nearly finished their breakfast by the time my breakfast came out so I was sat for at least 10 minutes waiting after they was served theirs, When it did come both eggs where rock solid amd clearly ones that had been precooked and left on a hotplate all morning, I just think it's really funny how a chef can get something as simple as a poached or fried egg so very wrong, I won't bother going there again.

Been here a couple of times to eat or for a drink. They have a good selection of bottled beers and the lines are clean and well kept. However the place is generally scruffy. The tables are always filthy and not cleared and every time we have been there has been random food items on the floor

Called in for a morning break with our cycling group. Two rounds of toast and marmalade plus unlimited coffee for £2.09 - excellent value. Very friendly staff, quick service, clean toilets - what more would you want on a coffee stop?

Popped in the other monday morning with my wife for a breakfast. last few visits have not been that good but this visit was top notch. speedy service at the bar and a nice hot well cooked breakfast. pleasant staff and a nice clean pub.well done spoons please keep this up.jef and pearl. jefs lawnmowers.

I have been here many times with my family lovely staff all the time very friendly too. The food is lovely every time I have been there. It's clean to. It's also very quiet which is also very nice I have gone passed a couple of times and it's been busy to I just seem to always go when it very quiet. I will be coming again when I'm next in Shotton. It's great to cause the train station is right by it which I use to get to Shotton to see family members

Me and my husband love having our breakfast here while the children are in school, always very busy which is excellent. The food is good.

Went for a breakfast before setting off on holiday, the service was quick the food was hot and tasty there were 8 of us but food came out quite close together and everything was as we ordered it. The girl serving behind the bar wasn't the happiest for what ever reason but it didn't stop us from enjoying our breakfast. The friend did comment about the toast on how it is usually nice thick loaf toast however we were all happy with what we had

This pub has brought the community to life. The landlady does a great job & her dedication shines through.

Usual standard good , prices, food but bar staff slow. Quite scruffy and tables slow to clear. Can be quite intimadating if you are not a local.

The friendly staff make for an experience to repeat. Local craft ale and dinner in cosy surroundings at a price you wouldn't think possible. Very popular with families young and old, working people and smokers can sit, relax and eat alfresco. I usually choose from the daily deals to enjoy the variety.If quiet conversation is needed avoid the bar side of the pub. The toilets are kept clean and tidy with a large loo for the disabled downstairs. The staff are currently on a mission to clear tables ASAP which some might find a little rude but they do it so efficiently :)Good, simple and pre-prepared food, right-size portions with calorie counts in an obviously cost conscious pub chain doesn't make for the ultimate fine dining experience. It does however make eating out very much more affordable.

I have eaten here a few times and food always good. Out with mates last night after a day out and we decided to order food. When it came mine was a bit overdone. I asked for it to be replaced and it was, quickly and efficiently. Mistakes happen and when they do its how they are fixed that counts

We went for my step daughters birthday the first lady that served us was lovely we ordered food and drinks and they came out in good time and were good . We waited a good while before the mains came to which we were a little disappointed very greasy chips and fatty steak .. I then went to the bar to order desserts. There were approx 6 people waiting and two serving . When it came round to my turn the young girl being the bar seemed to disregard me and went to a guy who I watched walk up after me . She asked whose next and started to serve the guy . I politely said "actually I was next " she then started to raise her voice at me saying no no he was next .. If she thought she knew then why ask ? She then decided than rather say I'm sorry I will be with u just now she thought it would be good customer relations to continue to talk to me like a fool . . I was made to feel embarrassed . Uncomfortable . She then said " well what do ya want then " I said no its ok I will wait for somebody else to serve me . Her response being ..makes no difference to me whatever I don't care !! I have run pubs and been a manager of restaurants and if I caught any of my staff speaking to a customer the way she did she wouldn't be there very long

A lot better food than other weatherspoons. I've ate at friendly staff at the time. Can be very loud tho some times especially if the weather is nice.

Met some friends in central hotel in shotton for a meal. Very busy. We had a meal and it was good value for money but not so good in the tasting or presentation. I have had meals there before but won't ever go on a night again as there was too many people in the pub to cater for.

It's a weatherspoons so nothing extravagant but you can't complain at the prices for food and drink and the restoration of the old hotel is stunning.

This local Wetherspoon enables dog-walkers to sit outside and enjoy a cool drink in the heart of Shotton. I have been inside but usually for a cold drink/coffee. Service is good and the people friendly. Food is average but value for money. If disabled the toilets are not accessible as they're up steep stairs; a good climb for anyone! (There may be access to a downstairs toilet for disabled but I'm not aware of it.) I'd rather go to Wetherspoons' Shotton than other 'greasy spoon' cafes in the town.

been to this pub/restaurant a number of times the food is poor and if you complain Claire the manager gets nasty and is so poor on people skills. How on earth the toilets got a good star rating is unbelievable they are dirty most of the time and they get signed off as if they have been cleaned when it suits them and they cover there backs.

Had heard some not very good comments regarding this establishment but I have to say we were pleasantly surprised, we enjoyed our visit here. Decor nice and modern, great outdoor seating area, staff pleasant.

We stopped off for a quick lunch after a walk along the coastal path before going back.Food was quick as usual for a wetherspoons. Service was good food was ok for a wetherspoons. Meat on the pulled pork jacket potato was quite fatty and not much meat and the extra cheese we paid for was about two bits of grated cheese. Good value for money if just want a quick bite to eat cheap.

Tonight was our 1st night on a Wednesday for chicken night. I can recommend it, it was very nice food.

We visited with my brother and his wife, over from Texas, we had a good lunch, both our Texas visitors were looking forward to "real" Fish and Chips while the rest of the party had a variety of different dishes, to drink most of us decided on Cider and I had probably the nicest one ever. Everyone was delighted with their food and commented how full the Central was for a Friday lunch time when many other cafes in the town were shutting down.

Went with 11 friends from work for a birthday meal. Food came very quickly after ordering, steaks were amazing, everyone was pleased with the quality and value and service. Been 3 times, consistently good.

Eat and drink here quite a lot.Service is always good, food is fair but not excellent.Drinks are reasonsable need more bar staff but the one's they have try their best to serve in order.

Stumbled across The Central by mistake as I was travelling in the area with my 14 year old son. In the High Street, next to the Railway Station. An old fashioned pub sensitively restored by JDW.As you would hope - Good Ale and reasonably priced food.Expect I'll never return (living in the Sarf) but happy to recommend to others.

Good honest working persons retreat, very polite and friendly service provided by bar-man Callum, I had the large mix grill very good and cooked to perfection. a very well done to the team !

Popped back in here on Monday, pleased to announce that nothings changed! Excellent service, brilliant banter, ice cold Carling, and food to die for! Met a few true characters! This has quickly become my favourite North Wales Wetherspoons! Pwllheli is superb, Llandudno is magnificent, Caernarfon is breathtaking, Mold takes some beating, as do Wrexhams 2 fine establishments! What makes this place so different, you may ask? Call in and give it a whirl Regards Brian

Went for tea with my friends, and to be honest I was expecting much. But I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed my meal, which arrived promptly, and my friends meals looked delicious and according to them they were. My only quibble realy was that the choice of dressing is very limited. I had a salad and could only have mayonnaise or mustard dressing and I would normally go for vinaigrette's or balsamic style dressing. Something they should think about.

Great local, good food and a good atmosphere. Do the pub quiz on Mondays it's something fun. The drinks are cheap and good quality.

Have tried to post a review through Wetherspoons own site but it's impossible!Our visit in December when it was really busy was faultless. Fast polite service, all staff appeared happy.The star though is Claire. No job too menial, from clearing litter from outside the entrance to waiting on, everything spot on.Claire is what Wetherspoons aspires to, she is an asset to the company.Nick and Jan.

Always been a bit dubious of the place as it used to have a right reputation but driving past the other day I saw that really tidy outside area and being stuck in the standard traffic jam that is deeside I could see in the doors and it looked really nice. Went back later that night to be greeted by a steak theme night. Fed and watered the family for under 20 quid thick juicy 14oz steaks and ice cold beer. Great selection of drinks and the manager told me there were more bottled beers from round the work incoming that week! Really impressed to see there are theme nights most days with food on offer so going to give it a whirl on other days as I fancy a curry or hand battered fish. Really pleased by the place staff were really nice chefs took pride in the food and the place is spotlessly clean and up kept with love. 10/10

Popped in the other night with my wife just for a drink. Ended up having some eats after looking at the menue. We had the 3 starters for a tenner. Wings chicken strips and loaded chips. Was very nice and tasty. Good value for a tenner. Served to us by the lovely Claire.We will be back shortly. Pearl and Jef (Jefs lawnmowers)

6 people went to weatherspoons central hotel in shotton on 3dec for cmas lunch. We work in the area.The food was excellent and the staff were so good and attentive. I have eaten christmas dinner in other restaurants and this meal was far better and very good value for money. I will recommend the pub. We all had a great time.

Went here on steak nite (TUESDAY) had the 14 Oz Aberdeen Angus. It was gorgeous, came with chips, peas & tomatoes.

I have been here a couple of times for something to eat and it is exactly what you would expect from a Weatherspoon; reasonable tasting food at a reasonable price.On our last visit I had the Fish and Chips and my wife had the Southern Fried Chicken dippers and chips, we did not have to wait very long even for a Friday evening and it was a generous portion.If you are in the area wanting a meal this is a perfectly acceptable place to eat.
