Brewers Fayre Crossways in Caerphilly

Great service both in the evening and breakfast, nicely set out, and the food was well cooked. My only complaint was that the gammon was extremely fatty on the smothered platter. My better half was not impressed with the coffee

Disappointed to see how much it has gone downhill. Fabric seats are filthy and sticky. Staff aren't willing to serve chips instead of rice with the curry, this isn't a problem I've encountered at other restaurants, not even other brewers fayres.

We came in a busy period and ordered on the 2 for 11.49 meals. We could see the staff were very busy but they still had smiles on their faces and nothing was too much trouble. Children enjoyed the play area very much for £4.50 which was very reasonable considering they got play time til we left. Our server (We heard other members of staff calling her Abby) was very warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. She was very accommodating with the children. Overall we will definitely be returning and we would like to give a special thanks to all the staff who served and cooked our meals🥰

Over the decades we have endured this pub with appalling service, hygiene and tbh unbelievably bad. This time it was clean, great service and food - it was like a parallel universe I would recommend

Went for a breakfast as the kids eat free, the email said. It’s fantastic!! There were two options, continental or ‘full’ -continental and a cooked breakfast. Which was all you can eat!! As we arrived they were setting up buffet which was fantastic again as it meant the food was going to be fresh and hot and not been sat there for ages and boy did it deliver. The sausages are to be some of the tastiest sausages I’ve ever had, where can I get some?? Plenty of cereals for the kids and pancakes and fruit. They even had oat milk for my wife. Brilliant experience. Will definitely come again, and a big shout out to Kath who was always busy and running around we look forward to coming again

The staff were friendly enough although there seemed to be some angst in the team. The meals though were poor using very cheap ingredients that lack taste and flavour. Menu changed whilst we were there and the only change I could see was items being removed from an already small selection/choice, which is daft really when you consider the competition for Brewers Fayre all have far more choice. The meals are incredibly small as well which all together has resulted in me making the decision to eat elsewhere in future. I wouldn't be surprised to see this venue either close or change hands in the not too distant future, it needs something drastic to revive it's potential.

Awful. Pure and simple. Place was quiet and food was 50 minutes delayed, then brought out couple by couple with a good 10 minutes between delivering food. Food was then brought out overcooked. Rare steak was one choice that come out well done. Seriously will not be visiting again.

Awful. Awful. Awful. Went with a group of work colleagues for our Christmas get-together. Started badly at order point where the server insisted my choice of 3 courses from the festive menu would cost me £22.50 rather than the advertised £16.99 on the menu. She stood her ground.... so did I She called the manager ... he struggled to sort out the glitch. Went away ... came back and admonished the server pressing the wrong buttons and took my £16.99. I took my seat with my colleagues and waited. And waited. And waited. Hooray my starter arrived. A teaspoonful pate in a micro ramekin. Same amount of cranberry sauce and one slice of the cheapest crap white bread anaemically toasted..... Ho hum......... Onto the main. At least fir my colleagues it was on to the main. The were served and eaten . Meanwhile I waited. AND WAITED. My colleagues had finished their meals snd when their waitress returned to collectvyhrir plates I pointed out that I was still waiting for my main. After a few more minutes I was served my festive turkey dinner. Not very festive. Processed sliced turkey with frozen veg and a complete absence of 'trimmings' no stuffing... no pig in a blanket... just turkey and done veg. I later sussed that pigs in blankets were available as a side order at extra cost . By now I had lost the Will to eat so I was not bothered by the further 30 minute wait until my Sherry Trifle Sundae arrived. On arrival the manager cheerfully asked ARE YOU READY FOR DESSERT ?? ready ? Are you having a laugh ?? Forget sherry trifle sundae rename it 'glass full of slop topped with squirty cream.' Unset jelly topped with something resembling sweetened wallpaper paste topped with 'extra sherry to compensate me for the long wait' LOLi never waste food bit there was no way I was eating that crap. It was only the alcohol the giggles and the great company that made the night enjoyable. The food was a disappointment and the service or lack of it was embarrasing. Avoid this place. Go to Spoons.

Amazing staff cath was brilliant fresh food always coming out very accommodating staff to my vegetarian needs and diet questions over all lovely experience would recommend and definitely come again.

Came down for a meal Wednesday for a birthday, food was great atmosphere was good. The girl in the play area set up balloons and banners even gave a gift to the birthday girl, think her name was Kelly, she was so polite and made sure the children had a great time, another waitress with blonde hair and a bun (didn’t get a name) carried out the cake for us allowing us to have full attention on the little one. Really appreciate you all making the day special. Will be returning.

Had a fantastic breakfast in the crossways. It’s by far one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a premier inn. Lee was serving the food and is a credit to your business. Jade the cook makes a perfect scrambled egg. Paul was very friendly when sitting us and Catherine chatted to us and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be back.

Family group of 7 with 2 children visiting this morning. We didn’t get there til 10:30 but despite finishing the breakfast at 11am, the waitress (Catherine) happily set a table for us all, showed us where everything was and generally made us very welcome. The breakfast was freshly cooked, of good quality and amazing value with all you can eat for £9.99 each and kids eating free. Everyone agreed that they would definitely return and after 7 full bellies we went to the play area which was clean, safe and fun for the children aged 2 and 9.

After seeing the 3.5 star rating we were sceptical but this Brewers Fayre did not disappoint! The breakfast was brilliant, fresh food, lots of options, everything was fully stocked, tidy, lovely coffee and a very friendly, helpful and welcoming service too from the lovely staff. Special thanks to Caroline. We will be returning in the morning for definite 😊 X

Most people think of these pubs for a pint, a cheap meal or maybe take the kids to the play area for a hour, but have tried their all you can eat breakfast, it’s amazing value, great food, staff are helpful and as I mentioned all you can eat, kids eat free with a paying adult, it’s only 9.99. We tried another cafe for breakfast which was only 7.99, but when you add on your coffee, a can or maybe extra toast it was over a tenner, here you can have as much toast, tea, coffee, pastries, cereals plus your main breakfast, it’s a no brainier

The food is good value and the staff are very friendly. However this doesn't make up for the dirty environment that customers are expected to eat in. When your seated look around at the walls which are covered on food stains. Dirty and dusty radiators, cobwebs etc. I complained several weeks ago and received a discount voucher. Returned last week and it is as dirty as ever. The whole restaurant needs a deep clean.

We have visited here before and had amazing dinners. But we had the unlimited breakfast for £10 per person here with my husband yesterday for the first time. Hands down the best breakfast we have ever had. We were served by Cath who is always very cheerful and helpful. We thought the unlimited cooked breakfast was self serve before we arrived but Cath took our order and your not made to feel ashamed for asking for a lot of food which made us feel very comfortable with asking for more. The cooked breakfast was done by Lee and both myself and my husband absolutely loved it, we can't wait to go back again. The continental area was very well stocked with plenty of option and it all tasted fresh. We will be recommending to our family and friends and this will be our new breakfast destination!

First time coming here and in this area. It was lovely. The staff, especially Catherine, were delightful for our first experience. The food was delicious and the cocktails were an extra treat. Definitely coming here again with my bonus club card to save my points.

Visited this morning with friends, lovely quiet environment, was served by cath who was very friendly and accomodating, wonderful table service and great selection of continental items in the self serve area, eat all you can with unlimited fresh coffee for less than £10 will be visiting again.
