The best restaurants serving British food in Mid Wales

We only stopped by for a drink, so I can only comment on that part of the business. Beer selection could be better. Nice atmosphere. Tables outside. Very friendly member of staff serving. Clean toilets. 👍🏻

Young bloke server, extremely rude, unhelpful and very smug. Couldn’t believe how rude a member of staff could be, just wanted to order food. Ended up having to get the manager who was then extremely helpful.

We were their first evening customers in the restaurant, a good menu, simple easy pub food which we enjoyed, a tad expensive, £4.20 for a can of Guinness 00 and £19 for Pie of the day, but it was full of meat and tasty gravy with a flaky pastry lid. Lois served us and managed the bar, she was friendly and provided great service.

Had a lovely pub lunch here, staff really friendly and helpful, would recommend to anyone that wants a cheap lunch with a great selection of drinks. Mangers lovely on both sides

A great dog friendly pub that offers good food and massive portions. Friendly staff and a real happy local pub that is pleasantly busy but not rowdy or unwelcoming... Ideally located near to the castle and other tourist attractions.

Stayed here for 3 nights, very comfortable and friendly staff. The evening menu is very good and the food is outstanding. The quality is amazing and portions are generous. This should be award winning food. Try it out! You won’t be disappointed.

Second time returning and blown away !! Stunning seaside views; friendly staff; and AMAZING food. This is a new family favourite spot and we are so grateful to the staff for this great experience. We received fast service both times . Everything was perfect from the mozzarella and chicken bites to the burgers and dessert. Best burgers I have had !

Honestly amazing, the lady running the show couldn't do enough for our group and she is a machine running three businesses. The food was staples done really well and definetly try the home baked cakes.

El servicio no fue tan bueno. Uno de nuestros miembros del grupo se quejó y ningún miembro del personal preguntó cuál era el problema o envió al chef fuera o algo así. Pocos otros grupos reservaron también que sabíamos y dijeron exactamente lo mismo. La comida era terrible. No volveré a ir.

Always great food at The Blue Bell. Chef tonight was Dan, and great food. I had for starter homemade soup, and mine was burger with new potatoes. 10/10, thank you.

We visited whilst on our way down to Builth Wells. A family of 8. Food was fabulous very tasty. Staff extremely friendly and worked very fast to serve our Sunday lunch. Very large portions and a huge bowl of cauliflower cheese unfortunately only one of our party liked that so a lot went to waste. We would definitely recommend! Diolch yn fawr/thank you very much

we went out for a family meal we ordered our drinks and food but the landlord was so incredibly rude and made us feel not welcome that we ate our meal which was not good we just left we shall not be returning think the landlord needs go learn sum manners

The welcome from Dan and his staff is unsurpassable. The variety of drinks is immense! Real ales, wine, cocktails ☺️you really can't ask for more. Food: Wide ranging menu, I have never had a bad meal. Home cooked food at it's finest and the chips!! Definitely something for everyone. Personally, I think the welcome is out of this world, I can't think of a better place to have a drink or spend the evening having a meal. The setting is homely, welcoming and the staff are so,so welcoming. The Monday night quiz is hilarious and open to everyone, friends and visitors. Thank you Dan and and the Angel staff
