I enjoy the vibe in Drouthy's, it's a relaxed, friendly pub. Out with my brothers for a quick catch up and some lunch. Good selection on the menu, food served hot, and plates were cleared by all, even though the portion sizes are very decent. Our quick catch up turned into a longer session and Logan made sure we did not go thirsty. Thanks Logan, you took great care of us.

A fantastic pub with a warm welcome and probably the BEST roast dinner I have ever had. Been staying and working in the area now for some time and coming here for our Sunday lunch has become a regular feature. The roast is incredible, and if you are anywhere near here and need a good feed and a nice pint this is the place to come.

We called in on two occasions and had food which on both occasions was enjoyable. This is a City centre bar and as a result is full. On the first occasion we just called in and were able to get a table. On the second occasion we booked a table as we thought, and were proved right, that being a Friday night it would be busy. The food was lovely and the drinks too. Good bar, despite being busy.

We were walking around Portobello, and this café caught our eye thanks to its beautiful display of delicacies. We did well to follow our instinct! We had a blast! Soft, tasty... wonderful :) little bonus beautiful view of the sea! Go for it !

We have visited this pub's sister venue, the Pit and Pendulum, on numerous occasions, it's a favourite so we had to try this one too. An impressive venue, the Gothic interior is housed in a former church, lots of black and red and deep dark wood enhance the Tim Burton feel. The food was great, in fact my coconut curry is one of the nicest I've had. The drinks menu is extensive and, happily, includes cocktails, some of which are lovely and creamy. Forget the pseudo-posh modern cocktails (though there are some of those too), these are milkshakes with a kick, and absolutely yum. The service was impeccable and our server was great to chat to, making us feel most welcome. The only minor grumble is this is a goth pub yet it plays an eclectic mix of music. It's sister venue knows part of its appeal is the music and sticks very much to the goth/metal genre. A brilliant experience all round, just a shame about the tunes.

Stayed for one night before catching the tram to airport next morning. The only thing good about this hotel was the location to the tram (less than 5 mins away) First off hotel is difficult to locate even with the GPS. Took us down Station PK which has a gate access that closes after 6pm. Due to lack of availability of seats for a group of 5, we went to the KFC located nearby. On our return to the hotel, the GPS took us back on Station PK and we couldn't get in passed the gate. The operator on the call box denied us entry even the ONLY business on that particular road was our hotel. We ended up parking our car at the retail center about 8 min walk from the hotel to bring our food back to the room. Thankful the parking at the retail center was just temporary because after dinner we took car back to the airport. Would have been nice if the front desk agent had inform us of that when we checked. Oh wait, she was down right rude to us. It was like we were bothering her when we had trouble with at the self service check in. Definitely didn't give us a good impression of the hotel. The reason why we went out to KFC was due late availability at the hotel restaurant. First available table for 5 was at 8pm and we inquired at 545 and i didn't see any seated and the hostess seating chart was nearly empty. Rooms ok. Didn't know your key card had to be used to get power in the room. Another thing the front desk clerk should have told us. Took forever for the room AC to get the room cool. If I ever travel overseas again I definitely won't be staying at a Premier Inn.
