I have been going to the Inversnecky Cafe on and off for 30+ years. It's a lovely traditional cafe, in a fantastic location. The one change over the years is that originally it was really fairly priced. This has now changed and is well over priced for a Cafe. We had various items off the menu. All the food was prepared to a really good standard and the staff are super friendly and attentive. Can't fault that. However, when you look at the prices on the menu is rather over priced for a Cafe. For example salad is £15. Coffee is also expensive. It won't stop me coming back, but they should still cater for the customers who have came there for a long time

You pay 5 pound for a cheap roll and 2 very skinny sausages or 2 bacon that’s it, I myself had a bacon sausage roll and couldn’t believe the portion size, 3 pound for a glass of milk Burger prices are crazy for the portion you get, I think they need to sit and understand why there prices don’t really hit off with people

The cost of a coffee the equates to £4.50 should not receive more than 1 star and I believe all customers should know how much a coffee ( black non specialty coffee, no milk , no sugar ) is. I walked in for a quick take out coffee and was asked to buy a coffee for almost £5 ?? This is ludicrous. I did private message them on Facebook yesterday but heard nothing in return so they must be okay with charging people this much I shouldn’t have paid for it

Could not believe I was charged £8.40 for two lattes to take away. The sit in price is £3.95. When I queried it the owner said it had been that price for a long time and that it was a large cup - it most definitely wasn't compared to your big chains. It would have been classed small. I go here regularly for breakfast and never noticed the prices before because we're usually in a group. But £4.20 for a takeaway latte 😲 daylight robbery! We won't be going back. Checked the other cafes at the beach and Inversnecky is by far the dearest. Had lunch at a west end restaurant today and a latte was £3.50. Photo taken against phone to show the size of cups.

Was guided to this place via a Google search, pictures of the food looked decent, greasy spoonish which I preferred than a posh coffee shop with limited choice of food. I ordered the largest most expensive breakfast off the menu, referred to as the special breakfast £9 without a drink which I thought was a bit pricey but it's on the beach front so hey ho. I asked for no hash brown and was offered an extra slice of toast which I gladly accepted. When the breakfast arrived I was bitterly disappointed. If I would have had a coffee with it, it would have been over £12. I will add a photo to show you what the 'special' breakfast looks like. No beans, no black pudding, no mushrooms, 1/2 a tomato, 1 sausage 🤷🏻‍♂️ the 2nd picture is a breakfast in Liverpool including toast and coffee for £5.50. I will let you judge for yourself

Pricing is the most confusing thing I’ve ever seen…. A black coffee is £3.50, a glass of milk is £3, yet a white coffee is £3.50? A filled croissant or baguette with crisps, salad etc is £7.75, yet “chicken in a bun” is £8? Absolute RIP OFF - 2 x rashers of bacon, sausage, egg, beans and chips - £15! There are lunch places in the city offering 2 x courses for this price. I suggest things are proof read and reality checked in the future…

I really like the Inversnecky cafe and it’s usually really good but today we went for a coffee and while we were sat outside some drug addict was walking about the beach area hassling people including us while we sat outside trying to enjoy our coffee. Staff had seen what he was doing but ignored it. For me whether we are outside or inside your cafe if you see customers being harassed it is your responsibility to deal with it and look after your customers. Don’t just shake your head at him and ignore it. We felt on edge the entire time we were sat there as he walked in between the tables shouting and swearing. I feel it could have been dealt with better. Needless to say we did not enjoy our coffee and left quickly to get away from this menace.

The Inversnecky is part of Aberdeen's history and landscape! It is a traditional caff with variations on a full breakfast, including a veggie option. Sandwiches, filled croissants, bacon rolls, jacket potatoes, sundaes. I always have beans on toast which has grilled tomato with it - simple but affa fine! Service is slways good and the view out to sea is beautiful what ever the weather - if it is good though sitting outside with the odd friendly starling is a delight. You can often see dolphins too. I really like the coffee, not too strong but a good flavour. They have milk alternatives. Only gripe would be a lack of vegan options. Easy to stock frozen sausages etc or if they could get deliveries from the Vegan Bay Baker for pastries, croissants and cakes etc I'd be there all the time! (Worth considering as most groups have a vegan amongst them these days) An absolute must do in Aberdeen.

Disappointed. Asked if the vegetarian burger could be veganised to which I was told it could be, however, it would be cooked on the same griddle as the meat. The chips are also cooked with meat products. I appreciate the honestly but would have hoped that there would have been more vegan options offered. Myself and 2 friends left and found another vegan friendly cafe instead.

Good pub with a great selection of beers and friendly service. Book ahead during busier times as there aren't many tables

A delight to have come back almost 25 years later with my daughter. Fisherman’s Feast just as epic as years back. Fish batter just right. And chips - fresh from the fryer. Great service and even a banter at the end.

A bit pricey but the staff is super friendly, the drink selections decent and the cocktails are delicious.
