One of the best resteraunts on Aberdeen Beach Front. Went there before a football match at Pittodrie and enjoyed a burger while my grandson had chicken fillets. Great grub, good prices, wonderful quick service.

Batter on fish could be better, it’s to doue must be crisp. Other ways it’s a great family cafe. With great service, been going there for over 15 years. 🤭

Terrible terrible cafe. Would not recommend at all. Food is unappetising and owners are rude. Waitresses are nice however look overworked and are always running about. Do not go here and waste your money.

One of the best Full Scottish Breakfasts around though a bit light on the eggs, enjoyed it though. Nice staff and service excellent. And this Yorkshire man can recommend it.

Lovely food and staff very good

A restaurant and café near the North Sea beach. The place is great for breakfast,coffee, cake or pastries. There is an outdoor seating where you can enjoy the view of the sea and the windmills extending into the sea. There are also many ice cream shops nearby that offer different and delicious flavours.

Our Friday haunt! The staff are all really lovely, welcoming & inclusive. They go out of their way to be helpful - honestly a lovely bunch of ladies! Our lunches are always spot on, honestly, cannot fault them.

A couple of days ago, my mum and I decided to visit Promenade Cafe. Since we had a dog with us, we chose to sit outside. We ordered two coffees, scones, and a breakfast item from their menu (which included two sausages, bacon, and an egg). My mum asked for a side salad, and although the waitress initially said they didn’t have it, she kindly offered to make one, which we appreciated. As we started eating, a seagull dive-bombed into our food, making the meal stressful and less enjoyable. When we began eating the salad, we found it was barely edible; the salad leaves were dirty and included hard bits that are usually discarded. Shocked by the seagull incident, my mum nervously spoke to the waitress about the salad and the seagull. We hoped for an apology, but instead, the waitress began shouting and defensively say, there’s nothing wrong with their salad, it’s their garnish that’s why it looks like this. But I believe garnish should also look edible When my mum came outside to talk to me, the waitress followed, collected our dishes, and continued to speak loudly and aggressively to us. She insisted there was nothing wrong with the salad and completely disregarded our concerns. I had to repeatedly ask her to stop speaking to us in such a manner, as it was entirely inappropriate for a waitress to shout at customers. Instead of apologizing, she claimed that the salad wasn’t on the menu and was merely a garnish, which is why it was dirty. We eventually received a refund, but the experience with the waitress completely put my mum and myself off returning to that place. As having experience as a waitress myself, I found her behavior incredibly unprofessional; she was neither calm nor receptive and was solely focused on defending the chef and the salad. I rated the food 3 stars because the coffee and scones were nice and tasty, although the sausage and bacon were incredibly dry and salty. I gave 2 stars for service, as the waitress was initially kind and offered something off the menu. For atmosphere, I gave 3 stars since the cafe has a nice outside area and offers blankets.

The minestrone soup was delicious. We also ordered the barbecue chicken sandwich, it was just allowed to be eaten. For dessert, a waffle with a delicious Belgian chocolate ice cream. The waffle batter was not particularly tasty. Good attention!

A hidden gem on the Aberdeen coast. Didn’t expect much from the outside however delicious food and nice staff. The full English breakfast was lovely and not fatty or greasy at all. Highly recommended.

Just been here before going to a Wrestling event and I must say it did not disappoint. Everything was. So fresh, not greasy at all. I got the fish and chips, fish was amazing, so light and with the tartar sauce and fresh peas was probably the best I have had. Next time I am through in Aberdeen I will definitely be back.

Very comfortable, cozy cafe, in good weather you can sit at a table outside. Quite a good selection of menu, also a good selection of ice cream. friendly staff. Highly recommend, especially in good weather, as there is a beautiful view of the sea.

Breakfast was a bit dry maybe would have been better with beans instead of a tomato.

Does what it says on the tin. A classic scottish beach side cafe. Fish n’ and Macaroni n’ chips was great. Mushy peas and a tar tar sauce that i would nominate a Michelin Star for! We were hungry after walking for 2 hours… and this delivered… 15 min for fresh cooked cafe food. Yeah. Love!

Had a fantastic brunch at the Promenade Cafe. We ordered Promenade full breakfast and French toast with maple syrup, coffee and fruit tea. Both dishes were fantastic and hit the spot. Service was with a smile and attentive. Definitely going back again.

Can't say i dined in because i didn't, just bought two bottles of water but i did have a look at the way staff members engaged with customers and the service is 5 star and the Atmosphere was calm quiet peaceful. I will recommend this place for a visit.

I'm visiting Aberdeen for one month. Staying near beach, I'm eating almost daily at Promenade Cafe, the food is amazing, staff friendly and the view is breath-taking!

Shocking Shocking..visited yesterday, ordered a set breakfast and two poached eggs separately.my friend had the set breakfast and after one bite said the sausage tasted funny.indeed it wasn't funny, she is still in bed after spending hours on the loo and violent vomiting. i ran around Aberdeen trying to find a 24 hour chemist which doesn't exist.i visited on 12/11/23 at approximately 11am.Destroyed my last day in Aberdeen.Avoid this cafe at all cost

The full breakfast is excellent here! I had the haggis and it was scrum. View and service are exceptional! I didn’t photograph the food it looked to good and I had to tuck In immediately. The flat white was a bit milky but still very good. Flat whites should always taste more of coffee than milk. This is an difficult concept for cafes in the UK I’ve found. No substitutions on the menu so eat what you get. You won’t be disappointed❣️

One of the worst fish and chips we’ve had for a while. Had to wait over the specified time, the chips were like cardboard, whilst the fish was freshly cooked and a decent sized portion the batter is terrible, not light and crispy but heavy and a bit tough to cut through! Asked for salt & vinegar, pretty certain there was no vinegar, and the gravy was a flavourless gloop. The good ratings here must be for the ice cream side, otherwise it’s making a living from its location. A huge disappointment.

We stopped off to have a scone each and a coffee. The scones were warm and delicious and it was a good cup of coffee, latte. The staff were very pleasant and it was reasonable

My two teenage daughters wanted an ice cream at the end of a very long walk and to be honest, so did I, and so we walked a bit more and this place seemed to be the only area serving. We ordered at the window, rather than from within the shop and the lady was happy, but being the end of the day, I think she didn't have the energy to engage in trivial conversation, which was fine. However, the ice creams that we ordered was fabulous, and for that reason you should pop in!

Had a mr whippy ice cream from the takeaway ice cream place on the corner, they do a variety of flavours on it, i would go back for more. I didn’t try the cafe part but for the takeaway part it gets 5 stars from me for the ice cream alone.

My husband and I were with our two granddaughters, who wanted ice cream. The waitress was very patient with them while they chose what flavours they wanted. My husband had a lovely latte and I had a delicious home made pancake and a cold drink.Lovely clean cafe. Food being delivered to other tables looked very appetising.

Was attended to very quickly when entering and got our food order taken in good time. Had to wait a long time to get the food, which my wife said may be a good thing as it was getting freshly cooked. It was certainly around 30 minutes of a wait and it wasn't that busy. The food was ok but not sure if it was worth the money. Overall nice place and nice staff but unsure if I'd hurry back.

Good service, cheerful team. Fish and chips is out of the world. Highly recommended. Though can be a little overcrowded. Prices are more reasonable compared to other beachfront places.

Quick Sunday lunch. Excellent cheese toastie and tuna mayo baked potato, both served with crisps and salad (with dressing). Also great coffee. But what makes it a little bit special was the friendly service. Lovely place.

Great restaurant with super menu & lovely staff. We were a party of 5 adults & 2 children, 1 requiring a high chair. Restaurant was very busy but nothing was too much trouble, staff got us sorted, took our orders & then after a very short wait delivered our food..delicious. our youngsters got their choice of ice cream with sprinkles & we're delighted. Many thanks for a great experience, we'll definitely be going back on our next visit to Aberdeen

Lovely lunch with my sister here. Staff were friendly & welcoming. Got served quickly. We had macaroni cheese with chips, fish & chips. Both were hot & fresh. The fish was so fresh & meaty. The batter was light & crispy. Chips were hot & crispy. Washed down with a pot of tea & fresh orange juice. Nice little cafe with friendly staff & atmosphere. Will definitely be back soon.

Can't fault the chips and cheese (for the kids obviously) and the coffee was decent. Staff extremely efficient and nice and the place has a very pleasant atmosphere looking out across the sea.

Prices way too much for what you get, paid £5 for a bacon roll which the bun came soggy and over buttered to the point of it being sickly, also asking for tap water they said they don’t have tap water and needed to buy a bottle, too pricey and disappointed with the food considering the prices, much better places on the beach front

We were so taken by the cafe, we returned the next morning to indulge in the full breakfast. Food delicious n generous. Hot filled rolls a real treat! Girls give a very warm welcome n efficient service, place is spotless n has best loo I've seen for a very long time!

I’m a mom of a toddler and a baby. I needed to use toilet, change their nappies and fed them. So I got inside about lunch time, I ordered a coffee and a portion of fries…let me tell you that I was very pleasant with the service. Anna looked after my table. She was fabulous! She even took the fries away to get me fresh ones later while I was in the toilet with the children. By the way, toilets were spot on. I’m often by myself with the kids, the logistic isn’t always easy…some places refuse to warm up the kids food, others do it but the looks they give you are far from friendly or empathetic. This is a place to go back, that is for sure. Mostly because of Anna’s service which was great.

Shut Monday and Tuesday. Tea cakes far too expensive as is the ice cream. Pity as they make the best flat white in Aberdeen.

If your down the beach you have to have an icecream from here! We always have whippy with strawberry sauce but the also have other ice creams as well! Don’t be put off by the queue! There is a queue for a reason!!! Others know that the ice cream is worth the wait! Can’t wait to have another

We had french toast and maple syrup, soup and a roll, two coffees. prices were reasonable and food delicious. Service was very good, a very enjoyable experience

On a VERY windy and cold day, my friend and I popped in for hot chocolate (with marshmallows) and spent a pleasant hour or so watching the waves. Warm and welcoming cafe with friendly staff, what's not to like?

Lucky to get a table on a busy Sunday morning at the beach. Really glad we got one here though as the breakfast was really well cooked and the staff friendly and helpful. Good value for money too, we'll go back.

We were on a road trip and abardeen was our stoppage for a while. Got a chance to have ice cream here. Not that bad 😌

Amazing service and ice cream, the staff are always very friendly and willing to go the extra mile to give you what you want, nothing is too much for them! The ice cream whether it is the whippy or the ice cream counter they are all amazing and so flavoursome. Can’t wait to return for more ice cream!

We visited this venue a few times today. No track and trace in place and no social distancing in place but staff were wearing masks. There is a massive selections of ice creams and a whippy machine to small ( which were large) flake 99 whippy's were £4.60 for 2. The other flavours were white choc chip, choc and mint, bubblegum, chocolate, raspberry ripple, salted carmel to name a few ( and 1 scoop on a basic cornet) was £2. Would recommend 100% and would visit again 100%

I have had better fish and chips. The fish was fresh and tasty with good tarta sauce and a slice of lemon but the chips were luke warm which was a shame. But they have great ice cream.

I came in here for a takeaway before catching the ferry home. Service was quick and the staff were friendly but that was the only good point. I ordered scampi and chips and a bottle of water which cost £9, which is ok for a decent meal but this was not. There was only 6 pieces of scampi which was shocking, i've never had such a poor portion and there was so much salt it was almost inedible and i couldn't finish my chips. If i had the time i would have gone back to complain, i will not be going there again!

There was no alternative milk options for people allergic or vegan. Very sad. And the hot chocolate my partner had was underwhelming and was not properly mixed. Please expand your milk options it’s 2021 :)
