Great pub, great staff, but need to get Pink Gin Fizz on a deal! Like other pubs. The Grovner in Shandwick place do I pink gin fizz for £5.99 which is a double Gordon's pink gin, with 50ml of prosecco and topped with lemonade. In Scott's they charge £12.60 as you have to buy individually. Given the pub 5 stars but would give then 6 out of 5 if they did certain drinks on offer 😎👍. But still a great bar.

We stayed on Rose Street so we stopped in for a pint and ended up staying for some time after meeting some of the local Hearts supporters who were more than happy to tell us about their team.

Small city centre bar that seems to cater more more locals than tourists, and it’s all the better for that. Good pint and decent prices. Has outdoor seating so you can sit and watch the world go by when the weather is good. Staff welcoming and friendly.

Yes was great that everybody was sitting outside and my brother and I got to sit inside away from the sun but the nice blonde girl was very nice and delivered our drink to the table when we went to leave my brother and wife went to the toilet so the girl was chatty and nice I have been in before its a good bar for watching football or rugby the screens are put about so every one can see where ever they sit .Will go back because I stay in Edinburgh but my brother and wife stays in Aberdeen .So will have a drink there myself.

Avery nice pub in rose st, quiet inside when we were there because everyone was sitting outside because the sun was beating down so we had a quiet pint inside with a very nic lady behind bar must go back again at night see. the good atmosphere

Popped in for a pint with the wife, it was very disappointing, with so many pubs to choose from in Rose Street I hoped for a decent experience. I wasn't expecting it to be like the Dome, but it felt we were an inconvience to the barmaid. Friendly customer service doesn't cost anything. Also the toilets were a mess and the Tennents was naff.

This is a nice place to have a drink the beer is good and the staff are friendly spirits are at a good price also.

Went for a last drink last night after a meat out with friends Scott's was the pub of choice and it turned out it was a good choice.The pub was quite quiet for a Fridsy night which was handy for us the bar staff were very efficient and very chatty so all in all it was a good choice of venue

Very nice selection of moderately priced beers including some interesting sours and a peanut one (at time of visiting). Also good selection of plugs/sockets for charging!

We visited Scotland for the first time ever for our 49th wedding anniversary, part of the trip was a visit to Edinburgh, we went to Rose Street and thought what a lovely old pub, how wrong was I. I have never been treated so rudely in a pub, I asked for half a lager shandy for my wife, when I asked her what lagers they had as I'm partially sighted and can't see that well in the dark, the young lady started to tell me then went oh I'll give you tenants in a very abrupt manor, I was trying to see what other lagers they had and she placed a pint on the bar, I told her I only asked for a half, her attitude was appalling, " you saw me pull it up why didn't you say" no I was trying to see what beer you had, so it was my fault for her mistake, I even think she charged me for it as well as I can't see the change, it was such a shame to meet such a rude person as we found Scotland absolutely amazing. If we visit again this pub will not be on my bucket to visit again list trust me.

Completely empty on a Wednesday lunchtime with a barmaid sitting the customer side of the bar. An uninspiring choice of beers only marginally beter than Dirty Dicks over the road. The pub was cold and the barmaid disinterested. I've been in many pubs in Rose Street now and the other end is marginally better but they all seem to lack a good selection of beers. What a depressing street for a pub crawl.

Decent pub that shows good live sports.

Recently spent what amounted to approximately 48 hours in this place. Good class of people in here. Highly recommended.

Stopped in here for a drink to get out of the cold. However the place was like a fridge. Freezing cold and has no atmosphere. It wasn’t very busy but seemed like it was a hassle for the staff to serve you. Wouldn’t go again. Better bars on rose street.

Visited on NYE & probably the only pub in Scotland playing Northern Soul...❤❤❤. Inside is a bit grubby and the staff aren't exactly the happiest but then again who would be having to work on NYE in Edinburgh... I would go again.

My my partner and I visited Edinburgh on Sunday for my birthday,we popped into this bar on the way for a meal,as soon as we walked in the lady behind the bar just looked at us up and down as if we shouldn't have been there, she didn't smile or ask us our drinks order & didn't pass any pleasantries at all we ordered our drinks and again the lady never said thank you or please or anything, we quickly drank our drinks and as we were leaving the lady came behind us and slammed the door, perhaps this was just to keep the dog in that was walking about but we found it very rude, thankfully the rest of the bars and restaurants that we visited in Edinburgh were very nice and welcoming..

Genuine could win an award for being the most depressing bar in Scotland when it’s quiet. I’m sure it has to be more fun when busy. Loads of bars in rose street.

I used to drink in this pub a lot but hadn't visited for a couple of years so a friend and I popped in to give it a try. First of all the welcome we received from the two barmaids was distinctly underwhelming and they eventually dragged themselves away from their phones to serve us. I ordered a vodka and coke and was immediately reminded why I no longer drink here. They serve cheap, foul-tasting cola on draught. Peter Kay's rola-cola springs to mind. If you want proper coke you have to buy a can which is of course more expensive. A clear case of management putting profits before customers. It was prime-time Friday night when we visited and whilst most other bars in Rose Street were teeming with drinkers, there were only 8 customers in Scotts. No wonder.
