An overall pretty nice moment and experience. Food was good and the service was lovely. However, the wine paring we had was pretty disappointing I have to say. The wines were not matching so well with the dishes and had to return once my glass for that same reason (or maybe being French makes me too demanding regarding wine?). A bit expensive as well for the quality of these wines (100£ for 5 glasses ! )

The rugby club is on my street, with Munster playing Saracens my other half suggested I go round to watch the game, change of scenery from the house. They have what looks like a Guinness tap, but once ordered it’s a can that’s opened. That’s then put into a plastic cup. £6 for the pleasure. The girl that served me warm and welcoming, really nice. After my first drink I took back the empty cup and mentioned to another girl begin the bar that I didn’t expect the club to serve their Guinness from a can and in a plastic cup (just general chit chat whilst being served, nothing rude and all said in more than a pleasant way) I was met with the following “you must be picky because everyone says it taste the exact same as draught” Unlike her co worker who served me prior, she was rude and short with me, I got the impression she certainly didn’t want to be there. Not the way to attract locals who are on your doorstep

Really disappointed having heard good things. We were treated rudely by the staff and the vegetarian selection was extremely limited. We had to return the main course risotto as it was cold, it was then returned to the table having been reheated in the microwave rather than remade so was still lukewarm. It was an expensive evening that was spoilt by the service and quality of the food. We won’t be returning.

We went to Kcal kitchen last night for dinner as a party of 6 and were very disappointed. Service was slow, had to ask a few times for cutlery, water etc. was informed after we ordered that there was no cheese for the burgers. Then once our meals arrived, we were surprised at how little chips there were and the waitress said “sorry there’s not many chips, we don’t have many sweet potatoes left”. We could’ve been informed of this when ordering or offered some money off but nothing. My friends also go cans of juice which are £3.50 each, ridiculous prices. Would not recommend going here, not worth the money.

I very rarely review stuff. But this gaff for Aberdeen is absolute Top banana. Been a few times now sooo when delayed for work. Food is sublime and very reasonably priced. There is a great selection of drinks priced probably average for Aberdeen. Beer is good also. Highly reccomend a visit.

I recently attended the Hogmanay party at the Holburn Bar in Aberdeen, and it was an absolute blast! The atmosphere was electric, welcoming vibe that made everyone feel at home. The bar was packed with people, all eager to ring in the New Year with good company and great drinks. The staff at the Holburn Bar did an outstanding job of keeping the party going. They were friendly, attentive, and made sure everyone had a fantastic time. The music selection was spot on, with a mix of classic hits and modern tunes that kept the dance floor packed all night long. The food and drink offerings were top-notch as well. Overall, the Hogmanay party at the Holburn Bar was a memorable experience. It was the perfect way to celebrate the end of the year and the start of a new one. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and festive night out.

I was there on Sunday and a lovely meal at lunchtime so when I got treated back again I was happy to go. I was so disappointed the puff pastry steak pie was over cooked meat almost black and stuck to the leather like certainly not puff . The variety on the menu was poor if you didn’t like peas you had no vegetables the chips were below average. The value of meal was extremely expensive due to poor quality of meal, won’t be back.
