My go to place when visiting Glasgow for decent price, healthy nutritionally rich food!

Chicken burgers were cheap and chewy, and the batter was far too hard and crispy. I never complain about food, but I had to get them to make another for my son. I expected they were going to bring another one out for me, but didn’t because I had taken 2 bites from mine before complaining. My son said the second one was just as bad; I tasted it and can confirm this, so it’s just as well they didn’t, I suppose. The protein shakes are tasteless and overpriced. They also brought me normal fries when I asked for sweet potato. I’ll never be back.

Looking for a nice health kick post a wedding hangover and fancied some good food prior to travelling, came across Kcal through Google search. Really good choice of food and especially caters to the vegan customer, our server was on hand to advise regarding ingredients and what is vegan or can be made as a vegan alternative I went for a Healthy Fry-up to soak up the Alcohol whilst partner opted for the vegan pancakes, great food all round. The cafe is nice and clean, and welcoming with decoration and had music on Will return when next in Glasgow

Visited for my birthday and had the bacon and egg waffles. Absolutely delicious and the half price 10-12 deal is fantastic. The staff were really friendly and treated me to a free donut for my birthday. Hoping to make a visit here a monthly treat and there is loads on the menu I'm looking to try now. Highly recommend.

Beautiful breakfast with added bonus of being able to calorie count and record protein intake! We were served by Siobhan who was an absolute gem and kept smiling despite how busy the place was. We travelled through from Edinburgh especially and will definitely be back to try more from the menu. Thank you to the staff for being so welcoming but especially to Siobhan for her kindness. Feeling nicely full and satisfied!

Vegan protein pistachio pancakes are incredible!!!

Looking for healthier places to eat, I've used Kcal before when I wasn't really watching what I eat, this time the detailed menu is brilliant listing the cals, protein, fat and carbs for each item. This is not a gimmick as the food and drinks were fantastic and reasonably priced

I arrived and was surprised to find that the restaurant was EMPTY. I kept seeing people on social media saying that the food was good and tbh it did look very delicious. But I was DECEIVED. The food was TERRIBLE I couldn’t even finish it. AND it was so EXPENSIVE.

upon arrival the establishment was empty which was already a warning, not to mention how it was a little dirty too. The waitress was quite nice and polite to be completely honest, however the food was appalling, too much soy sauce and my chicken tasted slightly off, the fries that were served with the dish were also burnt. all in all, overpriced, food was very underwhelming and i didn’t finish the full plate.

Nice and comfy place to eat, plus wonderful staff. Only a suggestion was there was too much sweet chilli sauce in chilli chicken rice bowl, rest everything was great ♥️. Already favorite place to eat lunch for my girlfriend 😄

Had the chicken burger, other diner had the salt & chilli chicken. Chicken was crispy, but tough. A little bland. Rice was dry and microwaved. One protein shake was room temp and the other was ice cold. Desserts were lovely but would avoid the main menu. Pricey for what you get. Regret not going for the pancakes. Staff were very friendly, food was served fast.

Great wee find. Lovely salads and smoothies. I loved the Salmon salad bowl, they do really nice coffees too. There is indoor and outside seating with a small sheltered area. Vegetarian & GF options noted on menu. Food is really fresh so easy to ask for changes if you need to avoid something. Helpful, allergy aware staff.

Tasty food and super speedy service. Tried and recommending the Himalayan Salt and Chilly Chick*n (vegan version) from the main gains section - it was really nice and a warming dish for a late lunch

Fantastic food and service 👌, has a lovely homley feel, if it was closer to home I'd be there every day, especially for the granola breakfast. 30mins up the m74 for us but always worth the drive in 10/10

I absolutely love this cafe, lots of great healthier options and offers - such as breakfast club are so good. My friend from England loves the cafe, we come here for a breakfast every time she visiting me, sweet chill chicken pancakes are the best - she would come all the way to Glasgow just for them❤️

Seriously need to up their game, had the poke bowl, literally a few flakes of salmon and I still got a bone, some tired bag spinach leaves and not much else, I complained about lack of salmon and to be fair they gave me more but made it clear it was for this time only and the salmon wasn't the main part of the dish (why put it 1st in the description then?), I won't be back again.

Ordered the chicken burger. The burger lacked any real flavour and had barely any salad. The chips were tasty but there were so few of them. Disappointed at the portion and taste for how much it cost. The woman that served me was lovely though and very welcoming.

Great wee healthfood shop loved my superfood salmon salad, was amazing! Staff were really nice too. Was a little awkward with the pram but overall no complaints!

Never going back again. I went before once and it was average and affordable but this time the food was very salty covered in soy sauce everywhere, they did not have smoked salmon so I asked if they can substitute this with salmon fillet, which they did but I did not expect to pay the full price of the dish without smoked salmon + the price of the fillet, so £15 for the smallest and saltiest poke bowl I ever had. The juice tasted too sweet like they added sugar to it and not freshly squeezed. Not to add the icing on the cake is they charged us £2.95 for the thinnest piece of toast I asked for my 7 month old. The place was dirty, including the high chair which I had to clean.

The zinger burger was lovely (if a little greasy), and came with homemade chips. A little bit of salad or something would have been nice. The real star of the show was the service out front, very welcoming, would be back for sure.

Very very delicious pancake, delicious coffee, good service and good music, the only thing that was a little loud.

Needs more staff and a better organisation, the member of staff that did eventually take time to speak to us told us all the free tables were taken, they looked stressed and came across as pretty rude. It's a shame, it's got a decent reputation for nice food - but the atmosphere was tense and I don't think we'll be in a hurry to come back for a second go.

Truly the worst restaurant food I’ve had in Glasgow and maybe my life….. Place felt dirty and the vibes were wack with the pink, green and dirty floor asthetic. The most depressing sized salmon I’ve ever eaten in the cheapest tasting sauce I’ve ever experienced and don’t get me started on the vegan burger that simply tasted like a soggy sponge. Oh and even their mayonnaise and ketchup tasted wrong. This is the first online review I’ve ever done and I’m giving the only star because the chips were decent and the woman who serves us was nice.

When we arrived we were sat at a window seat which the table looked like it hadn't been cleaned and set up for the next customer. From this seat, we could see plates that had been left outside still with food on them. It was a busy Friday afternoon and looked to only be two servers on. The food wait was a bit longer than expected, especially as it's street parking so we felt like we had to rush when the food came so we could get back to the car in time. Parking is extortionate, so I would recommend parking a bit further out and walking down. The food was unreal...we got the burger and salt and chilli chicken and for being low calorie, tasted absolutely amazing.

This place is a wee gem! Staff were so friendly and helpful, service was fast and food was delicious! The decor is cute and cosy. Free cucumber/basil water available which was refreshing. The only downside was the music was a bit loud, but not enough to detract from the experience. At the time of visiting the new menu had been launched so the website was a bit different. I had eggs royale with salmon which was divine. Can't wait to revisit and try the french loaf!

Delightful eating experience. Me and my daughter were in today. Lovely young woman said there was a ten minute wait but then found us a seat immediately. Delicious food at a very good price. Everyone smiling and welcoming. Highly recommended! (Keith and Amelia).

Went for breakfast (all day on Sat & Sun). Love the fact you know the calories and macros for each dish, price was pretty decent, servers were lovely but the food was the star of the show. The food was delicious and very well presented - we'll definitely be going back.

Visiting Glasgow for a couple of days we ventured into Kcal for a Sunday morning breakfast. Its very pink, which is fine, a little chilly as it had just opened i’d imagine, but met by a young lady with a warm smile who seated us. Sat down to view menu and ordered breakfast. Then the music came on. I laughed and thought someone would turn it down, but no, here it was.. some bubble gum pop and rap style R&B. Loud. I found this a bit odd, but looking about at the younger diner couples who were all staring at a screen, (as we know they are incapable of any sort of conversation between each other ) so it didn’t seem to bother them. I had to basically shout to my wife opposite. The food came. Pancakes and a vegan breakfast. All good. No complaints apart from the weak anaemic coffee. We ended up doing sign language to communicate that a chilled out Sunday breakfast this certainly was not. We laughed, and still the other diners scrolled aimlessly on their phones. Not a place for a bleather and a quiet breakfast. Left quickly to get out to the peace of Sunday morning Glasgow. Food -Good Service - Brill Music- Pish

Me and my partner went earlier this week and really enjoyed it. We got there a bit early than intended so we were given the breakfast menu when we wanted to come for lunch, the last serving us was great and gave us the lunch menu instead. Had to wait about 20 minutes but that was our own doing and we were happy to do so. Good service, a little bit too loud for my liking but that's personal I guess. I didn't love the seating as we were sat beside the wall and the seats are these heavy blocks that are quite difficult to move to get into. But other than that, the environment was good, the food was food, would definitely come back

It's the best place for the yummy food and also healthy food I would say. The staff are very friendly. I love the ambience. Definitely worth going to. I highly recommend this place if you are looking to have a balanced diet food.

Went here for my girlfriend's birthday breakfast. Excellent lil venue. I had a cooked breakfast and the hashbrows were amazing. Lovely protein shakes available. The food definitely leans towards the healthy side and the menus list all the proteins available. Very friendly staff and cute tables.

Restaurant was ok but they online sales are a scam. I’ve seen other people post the same. That’s two weeks I’ve waited for my order with no communication. Meal prep number rings out. No answer to emails. No answer on social media. No reply to negative reviews on review sites.

The service was extremely disappointing. We tried to give it one more try after our last visit, which was equally disappointing. However, the staff seemed indifferent, and they did not even say “hello” to me while I was waiting in front of them to order. We left and we’re not coming back to this place.

Do not order from their website! Ordered pre workout from there site on the 22/06/2023, to this day no help whatsoever. Prep meal phone number just rings and rings never answered once, and the restaurant tells the same excuse every time that the manager will get back to me the next day, I’ve called multiple times. The pre workout is still being offered for sale do not buy as you’ll be giving your money away they do not care at all!

Best and only protein pancakes I've had out. Wide selection of protein shakes with full macros for the entire menu. I was amazed at how nice the American Protein pancakes were for the macros

Honestly, I got this placed hyped up to me so much and was severely disappointed. It took a good while to be delivered, and when it did, my burger was bland, and the chicken was as tough as a tire. The chips were good however, and my friends meal was good. However, it was very cheap, and the other food, like pancakes look top tier.

Absolutely loved this place! Visited 3 times in 2 days. Staff were super lovely and the menu was fab. I was the only vegan in our group of 3 and was impressed with the available options, it was hard to choose. Both breakfasts I had The All American pancakes, super fluffy pancakes with mixed berries, granola and maple.... So good! Friends had french toast, granola bowl and smoothies and love it all. Coffee was delicious and the added bonus of the music was good on all 3 visits. Can't recommend this place enough. I'll definitely go back next time I'm in Glasgow.

extortionate little minxes.. adds on cheeky little expenses for things you thought were a given. pancakes were as hard as nails and the fruit tastes like it was cut with a garlic coated knife. came a couple times last year but the quality has since then steadily decreased.

Amazing place to eat a breakfast! We ordered Heatlhy Start and Flower Power smoothie. Very delicious and I did it feel hunger after eating at all. Also the interior design is pretty cool!

Decent food and atmosphere, sadly ruined by little accident. The food itself was okay. However, the experienced was a bit ruined by the fact that I ordered a vegan version of a dish and got served chicken. After having taken a few bites I asked whether they gave me the vegan one and they apologized for the mishap and gave me the vegan version of the dish. On checkout, they took 50% off the price of my dish (without asking) and apologized again for the inconvenience. The atmosphere was nice, considering you're pretty central in Glasgow but our experience was ruined by that accident and will likely not return again. There was also no high demand on the waitress as we came in less than 5 minutes after opening, which was 10am and there was only one more table occupied. Looking back, I should've probably been sceptical after being served normal milk to go with my tea even though I ordered a vegan dish. As long as you make sure you get the correct order, you can probably have a nice breakfast, but don't expect something extraordinary.

Me and my friend went for a brunch last week. Food was so good. They do discount for PureGym members which was very good. I just wish they had a fan inside as it was very warm.

got food from this place and it was all spilled in the bag worst packaging i’ve seen and non of it was edible due to the drink spilling on all the food.

Have come here a few times and thought we had found our new brunch spot for after gym meals however today, we came by and the service was abysmal. There were only 5 tables in and despite this, we had a drink order taken after 30 mins, they were brought to us after another 15 mins of waiting and when we asked to order our food, we were told that there was a back-up so we would need to wait to order. One of the drinks was wrong too. After 50 minutes without a food order being taken, we paid for our drinks and left, the staff seemed nonplussed when we said it was taking too long too. The food is tasty enough when you are able to receive it. If there is a back up, it would be appreciated if we were told when we came in, not after having to collect our own menus and trying to order alongside our drinks. Super disappointing and unsure if we'll be back

Came here for a quick lunch today with my partner. Service was okay and our meals arrived quickly. I've tried many a variation of bacon and pancakes, but these were definitely lower tier. For £10 you get two barely cooked rashers of streaky bacon and an overcooked fried egg, with average quality pancakes. I'd have expected the bacon to be cooked crispier (it wasn't crispy at all) considering half of it is fat, making it pretty hard to eat. My partner had the salt and chili chicken on pancakes and although much tastier than my dish, we found the portions lacking and uninspired. Topped it off with a tropical smoothie which was watery and bland. Almost immediately after finishing we were asked if we wanted to pay, and so the bill was settled before our plates had even been cleared. Overall, we were pretty disappointed after building our expectations so high, and felt the price didn't accurately reflect the experience or portion size.

First time here, and was greeted with a very friendly waitress on arrival, who then showed us to our table. We ordered the appleberry juice, leafy greens juice, superfood salmon and himalayan salt & chilli chicken. Food is prepared fresh, and absolutely amazing. Staff a very friendly and welcoming. Only downside is we were sitting on solid wood boxes for chairs, which gave me pain on my lower back from sitting on them, they were also heavy to move out from under the table, and the very loud music, I’m a wee bit deaf, and I found it really loud.

Freshly prepared, healthy food and drink. Staff are keen to take your order and after a few minutes will stand and wait at your table, encouraging you to choose by offering suggestions. Seats are uncomfortable.

Wow!! Talk about having your cake and being able to eat it too! This Macro-Friendly Restaurant was incredible from the Not so Zinger Chicken Sandwich with Cajun Sweet Potato Fries and the Chicken & Egg Caesar Salad- we were impressed! Then to finish the dinner we shared these unbelievable Biscoff Protein Pancakes for under 650 calories 😍❤️

I've been to this place for lunch a number of times over that past couple of years and the tasty food kept me returning despite generally slow service. However, the past few times I have visited the service has been so poor, it has put me off returning. While the staff are friendly, they know that lunch time crowds do not have over an hour to wait for their food after ordering. A little bit of honesty would go a long way. You should not be telling customers their food is "just coming" unless it is actually on its way to them. The last time I visited, we were told over 5 times our food was "just coming" and 20 minutes later, still nothing, despite repeatedly telling the staff that we couldn't stay much longer as we had to return to work. Eventually, 50 minutes after ordering, the owner finally admited that the food would not be ready before we would need to leave, so we left without food, and without enough time to grab a quick lunch from elsewhere. I understand that sometimes technical issues or a busy period results in slow service, but being honest with customers should be a priority.

i came in, waited over an hour for my food because they didn’t put my order in and it was kinda mid. then i waited another half an hour for 2 milkshakes that weren’t even the right ones and frankly were as thin as water. the staff were not attentive enough. will not be back -_-

Must try for those who are trying to be calorie and macro conscious. Nice food, decent portions, and varied options. Wish more restaurants gave macro information or at least calorie content like here.

This is a mixed bag. My daughter picked this for a family breakfast. It's a small place, modern looking, spacious enough. The staff were absolutely lovely, attentive and easy to chat to. However... If you look at the photo of the egg on sourdough, that's £7 right there. For one slice of bread and two poached eggs. The other photo was the Super Baked Granola Bowl. It was very tasty, but a bowl it ain't, more like a cup. Coming in at £6. My daughter had the PB pancakes which were £7.50. Food to plate ratio was better on that with 4 medium sized pancakes. We've been to Stack & Stills before, so not complaining about that. EDIT: ok, we went back for my daughter's birthday breakfast. They have an offer on where pancakes are 1/2 price Mon-Thurs 10-12, and bottomless coffee. Armed with this knowledge, we stuck to pancakes, which were delish and plenty. There are now also water dispensers which delivered 'cleaner' tasting water. It's hard to describe, but iykyk. Staff are still lovely and attentive, so we were quite happy to have returned.

Boss is an awful person, withholds wages for weeks, and the hygiene and safety of kitchen staff is not a consideration

This place was such a cute little find! The music was amazing, a 2000’s playlist which really suited the vibe of the cafe. The staff were really friendly and we would definitely come back.

I have previously left a 2 star review due to terrible service received but have visited a few times since then and the service has improved significantly, so have deleted that one as it no longer applies. This is probably the only restaurant focused on healthy food in the city centre. The shakes are amazing and the food is great too. The service is great and the prices are fair.

Looked a bit tired and edge of menus were grubby. Prices on wall menu were different to laminated menu. Food was ok and prices were ok but juices etc were expensive and nothing special. Also provided in a disposable plastic cup. Vegan breakfast was a good size but tofu was way too salty and over-curried. Wilted spinach was barely wilted. Bread was sexy though and staff were polite and helpful.

I enjoyed the smoothie. I see what they’re trying to do, but the food wasn’t very good. The most disappointing thing was that the sweet potato chickpea dish consisted of mostly onions and bell pepper and had barely any of the “main” ingredients (sweet potato and chickpeas).

This restaurant is a joke 😂 I left it with stomach pain after all of this oil and grease. If you really want clean food AVOID it!

Really disappointed with this place. Great idea but poorly expedited. Tables sticky and not clean. Floors dirty, clearly not cleaned that morning. Nor had the toilets. Toast and butter offered on menu, arrived with Flora, no alternative.

Every Friday morning after the gym, my flatmate and I have a Kcal Kitchen Friday morning ritual of protein pancakes and a latte. For about 6 months now, we've only missed a Friday at Christmas! I've had the same pancakes (bacon and egg) and Mikey's had the same pancakes (nutella and banana) every single week. Literally never gets old. It was also quality when they added an extra pancake to the serving, making it absolutely perfectly sized potions! The past three Sundays, we've taken our girlfriends out too as a foursome and I had the Guilt Free KFC Burger, which is absolutely mind blowing. The sauce is immense and the chicken was excellent. If you're going for pancakes, try and go any morning before 12pm as it's 'Breakfast Club' and it's £4 for any Protein Pancakes or Waffles, instead of £6, with free coffee refills. Favourite place in Glasgow by far!

Delicious food that you don’t feel to guilty about eating — we usually sit outdoors (with our dog) and have been able to customise our meals too (handy for a fussy eater like myself!) Definitely recommend a visit here, great for a quick lunch during work or even a chilled afternoon meal.

Fresh healthy choices here. Vegan , vegetarian. Had chicken zoodles— hot and delish. Spouse had ch caesar.. equally tasty, with a nice homemade dressing. THE VEGAN BISCOFF DONUT OUTSTANDING! As is the staff! Vlovely quiet location! Decorated well!
