What a brilliant venue!! We had a great time having our Singing Waiters there on Saturday night - the Events Team and in particular Emily where amazing to work with - they went above and beyond to help us make our surprise happen, looked after our Singers so well. We cannot wait to be back for another surprise soon - thank you so much for having us, an amazing venue to work with and have an event at. Thank you from Paula and the Team

The first place that we found in Scotland that was not very nice and actually a little rude when we came in. I did give two stars because they did not charge us for the museum. The museum is tiny and we were told when we arrived that another group was coming and so we only could be in there for less than 10 minutes. Turned out the other group was three people. So if you are going to go I suggest booking a pre-advanced tour or whatever it is they do. But it's a bit underwhelming as there's not much in there and not much in the gift shop either. This came up as one of the top places to see in Glasgow and I would recommend spending your time elsewhere unless you're really really really into bagpiping

Ajánlott látnivalók között találtuk a centrumot. Központból gyalogosan jutottunk el a múzeumba. 2, 5 Font/fő a belépő. Kis teremben mutatják be a skótduda történetét. Magyar dudát is találhatunk a kiállításon Kecskemétről. Apró kis teremben sok információt szerezhetünk a skótduda történetéről. Itt vásárólható skótduda és kiegészítő eszközök. Oktatás folyik, próbatermekből skótduda hangja hallható , ami még hangulatosabbá teszi a látogatást. Van lehetőség a duda kipróbálására, térítési díj ellenébe. Weboldalukon minden megtalálható a vendégek számára.

Would recommend this venue for any celebration! From the moment we booked this venue for a joint 30th/60th celebration, the staff at the Piping Centre were able to guide and support us in a confident, understated and friendly manner. The level of customer service was exceptional and we would have no hesitation in recommending this venue. When the auditorium was dressed for the event, it had a 'wow' factor about it! All of the guests in attendance were also extremely complimentary.

Recently attended a wedding reception at The National Piping Centre. It's a good venue and the staff were lovely. However a mini bottle of prosecco which is one glass costs £14 which is outrageous! This is the most I have ever been charged anywhere for a glass of prosecco and I don't know how they can justify this. Overall a good venue but don't drink prosecco if you go!

We had our wedding here at the weekend and it couldn’t have been better. The staff were so accommodating and friendly, and everything went incredibly smoothly. Emily, our main contact for organisation, was a great help and always responsive to emails. The piper was excellent, the florist made the hall look absolutely beautiful, and the food was great. It all felt very down to earth and relaxed too, which was what we wanted. A big thank you to all involved!

Wee update, brilliant customer service from Alistair(hope I remembered your name pal! 3/4/23) brilliant knowledge and really helpful advising me about new reeds I hadn't heard of, sorted me out a room to try a few with my pipes as well, absolutely top class. I've been getting reeds from another supplier in falkirk by post as you don't stock them here, but they they let me down again, hence rushing down here today, to get a reed to take away with me as back up for my tour, but if you can get 'Chesney Solo' reeds it wd be amazing, as they are my favourite I got a shepherd this morning which is great but chesney solo reeds are imo the number one on the market for soloists! Thanks again for all your help this morning! Slàinte mhath!

My daughter held her baby naming ceremony at the piping centre. She ordered a buffet which was lovely. At the end of the event I asked if they had any boxes to take away what was left of the buffet, which was quite a considerable amount. I was told we were not allowed to take any of the remaining food home due to the risk of food poisoning if we reheated it. I assured her we would not be reheating the salad or sandwiches. I was told we were not allowed to take any food home. So what happened to the remaineder of the buffet. Surely perfectly edible food was not going to be thrown in the bin. It was nearly half of the buffet. This is the first time I have come across this practice. What a disgraceful waste of food.

The National Piping Centre in Glasgow is the perfect destination for anyone looking to learn more about traditional Scottish music. 🏴 It's a must-visit for all music lovers, where you can explore the culture, history, and art of Scotland’s national instrument. You get the chance to be taught how to play them and then have a go yourself! The most interesting part of the tour for me was learning about how piping bands from all over the globe, fly into Scotland to perform at competition level! Thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would 100% recommend visiting. I know we'll definitely be back!

The organisers were extremely helpful in the lead up to the event as I had two meetings with them and they also responded immediately to e mail queries. We are six Canadian rugby mates who enjoyed our Come & Try experience at the National Piping Centre. It did not involve food. Instead, we were given a wee tour of the history of the bagpipe by Jamie and then we went through an embarrassing but very fun lesson on how to play a bagpipe. If there's as tougher instrument to play, I don't know what it is. We really recommend this experience - it gives you a n excellent perspective of this powerful and historic instrument. Strong recommendation for small groups looking for a unique experience.

So we would have ordered more but stuck with a 2 drinks and 2 main meals which came to £32 pound. The National Piping Centre is actually a hotel in Glasgow offering typical Scottish breakfast, which we could not let pass us by. The dining room is actually quite small and cosy and we were quick with our order. Tea and toast were with us in no time and all seemed right. 20 minutes later we had to remind the people serving us that we were still without our breakfast... and it never quite recovered after that. We had to ask for ( and wait ) for more toast and of course more butter and the water we ordered never made it. It could be so much better.... alas it wasn’t when we were there.

My group enjoyed a short visit and piping lesson in the adjacent museum and then had dinner in the restaurant. Atmosphere was pleasant and pub-like, and traditional Scottish fare was quite good. I had smoked Scottish salmon on toast with lemon and capers, roast lamb with potatoes Dauphinois, green beans, and savory gravy prepared beautifully; and a cheese tray with grapes and oat cakes to finish. All were nicely served and tasty. I thought the museum not very detailed and the piping lesson didn't interest me, but the meal was quite good. The restaurant itself is small and people who were there on piping business were constantly in and out and were a distraction. Overall, I'd say my experience was good, but I'd probably not return. Enjoy.
