My friend and I came here for a drink as we had never tried this place before, as soon as we walked in the music playing was great, there was plenty of seats to choose from and many tvs to watch. We looked at the drinks menu and went up to the bar to order, the bartender that served us was named Connor he was absolutely fantastic, made us the “shake it off” cocktail which tasted amazing, while the cocktails were being made Connor had a conversation with us and asked us to tell him how the drinks were after we had finished them, very fast service in here and very polite and kind! Thanks again will be back

Was in last night (Thursday) and was served by Emma S who gave me great recommendations for drinks and shots!! Tried a double malibu and lemonade for the first time and their island vibes WKD shots which were amazing!! Great to chat to and made the experience so much better. Loved the atmosphere of the pub too!!

Just wanted to come on here and say that Thomas is the greatest bartender I have ever received, arguably of all time. The way he pours the pints is just magnificent and at such speed as well. This man has single handedly increased my enjoyment in first edition by 10 fold. Thomas elevates this establishment from mere town renown to country. Just thought I’d come on here to say this.

First time being here a couple Saturdays ago and Emma S and Thomas served me, the both of them were so welcoming and informative! The experience was so good due to their recommendations and the overall atmosphere was brilliant!

The experience at this pub was brilliant! I was greeted by Emma S at the door while looking for my reservation and she was lovely! She helped us find our seats as well as give us food and drink recommendations! Very polite and a great chatter!

I was in a few weeks ago and was served by Emma S who was super chatty and welcoming! Her attitude was perfect for behind the bar and I absolutely loved our conversations. The food was also brilliant and the overall atmosphere was so fun! Never been here before but after this experience I definitely will be back!

Nice inside. Comfortable. Lots of booths. Couple of beers on cask. Couple of Beavertowns and then your usual suspects. Food was reasonably priced and perfectly fine. There's a beer garden out back and they allow dogs in it.

Was In for food Tuesday first time for myself in the pub and found the pub very clean and tidy We orderd food at the bar our bar maid kay was very helpful and patient with us very chatty with everyone while she served ould tell someone the older customer's were regulars with there banter Kay also helped us set up the pubs mixr app and explained how it worked also got a free drink out it well definitely be back

Was on for food and drinks on Friday lunchtime, it was very busy at the time. Service was very good and the food delicious would highly recommend.

Was here enjoying the first games of the season and the atmosphere was brilliant. The variety of drinks and price were great. The big beer garden out the back with tvs and sound as well, a huge bonus. Will be back at the weekend for dj and some cocktails. Bar staff are friendly and welcoming here.. Me and my friend went to 1st edition for something to eat and a drink. We had a great time, the food was delicious and was economical, the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Linda who went above and beyond to make our experience as enjoyable as possible. Would definitely recommend it.

I'VE BEEN GOING TO FIRST EDITION FOR YEARS AND I LOVE WHEN LINDA THE BAR MAID IS ON LINDA IS THE MOST HELPFUL FRIENDLY COMPETENT PERSON I'VE EVER SEEN . SHE'S ALWAYS MAKING SURE YOOR OK. SHE PROMOTES FIRST EDITION ESPECIALLY TELLING YOU WHAT IEVENTS IS TAKING PLACE. SHES A VERY GOOD TEAM PLAYER ALWAYS POSITIVE .

Visited Monday and we were served by Annalise. I usually drink Becks which wasn’t available, so Annalise recommended Moretti, a great recommendation and a new favourite. Would definitely visit again.

Was in here last Friday, the atmosphere was amazing, it was the last day of school and full of teachers, the DJ was great, he played an eclectic mix of music in between karaoke.

Was in last Thursday with my elderly parents and teenage kids we sat near the front entrance table 4 or 5 I think Our food for lovely and came out the kitchen lovely and warm complete with everything we needed Our (server) waitress was very attentive to our evey need with drinks, tea ,coffee etc that we had orderd to come with our food she couldnt of be any more helpful what a lovely experience we had in your restaurant kay definitely helped with that experience my elderly mum and dad loved her chatty personality. Only complaint we had was there was a quiz or bingo night on when we were in and the speaker was above our table which got very load but lay sorted that for us as well and got it turned down thanks again

We were welcomed from Kay who we asked for a table for four she showed us where we could sit to enjoy our food and drink Kay also gave us some mixr app cards and was so helpful in showing us how to download them to claim our free drink and how the app works with the points system. We ordered some meals which came lovely and warm and wee also brought out to our table from Kay very polite and welcoming wee woman and such a credit to your bar restaurant will definitely be back

Was in for dinner Saturday night with 8 friends we had different items with some extras and the food was cooked perfect not one of us had any completes Our waitress kay was very nice nothing was to much trouble for her she is definitely a very busy woman but seems to enjoy her job loves to talk to her customers given each and everyone of them that wee but extra time which was nice to see in a busy pub

Came to first with my mum as it was a lovely day and they have a lovely beer garden, was served by linda the full duration of our visit and she was fabulous. Happy face quick service just make it a place you want to come back and visit. Food was standard for a change as they changed the steak pie from last time i ate here amd i wasnt a big fan on it. All in all i love the place and will always be back. X

Came in for food with the family, was served by Emma S who greeted us with nothing but great banter and laughs, made us feel super welcomed and set the tone immediately. The food was brilliant and could see how bright and bubbly all the staff were. Definitely coming back!

Came in with some coworkers last Friday and had a wonderful time, drinks from they're new cocktail menu are to die for, we ordered one of the gumball towers which didn't last us long 😉 Some lovely staff helped us, from Kimi who told us all about mixr and the free drink you get when downloading, to the manager that sorted our seats out with our booking. We got a whole area all to ourselves and we were so grateful to how attentive the staff were! Thank you guys for a great night, we will definitely be back 😁

We visited for the 1st time yesterday with our pup Barney and our 5 year old son I can’t fault the experience at all so friendly and caring extremely helpful and very attentive to my pup always made sure he had enough water and treats to last him The first edition supply’s water bowls treats and blankets for your pups to sleep on while you enjoy the fabulous food and drink they have on offer I can honestly say this is the best family pub in Kilmarnock 10/10 would recommend Steph was our server and made the experience wonderful will definitely be back great service thank you x
