First Edition in East Ayrshire

I recently had the most amazing dinner experience at the First Edition. From the moment I walked in, the service was lightning-fast. They really know how to take care of their customers! The portion sizes were spot-on, leaving me feeling satisfied without being overly stuffed. And let me tell you, the value for money was incredible. I felt like I got a lot for what I paid! But what really made the evening special was the friendly staff. They were so welcoming and attentive, making me feel right at home. It's always a pleasure to be served by people who genuinely care about your experience. And the cherry on top? The cocktails! Oh my goodness, they were out of this world! Each sip was a burst of flavor and creativity. I couldn't get enough of them! All in all, I highly recommend this pub for a memorable dining experience. The speedy service, good portion sizes, great value for money, friendly staff, and delicious cocktails make it a top-notch spot. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! Cheers to an amazing evening!

Popped into the First Edition tonight for dinner and had a wonderful experience! As soon as you walk into the pub you are greeted by friendly and very welcoming staff. The place is beautifully decorated and very clean. Went up to the bar to order our food and drinks and even though it was extremely busy we were served very quickly and by another very friendly member of staff. We were told about the Mixr app which is brilliant and the staff were so helpful in getting this set up for us. We ordered the small plates and the portion size and value for money was amazing. Really enjoyed all of the food we had and it came very quickly too which is always a bonus! Ended up having some of the new cocktails after we finished our meal and these were also delicious. Can’t wait to come back again as it was such a wonderful experience. If your looking for a great pub for some food and drinks the First Edition is the place to go!

Came in yesterday and was served by Alix, I was having trouble deciding what to drink but she gave an excellent recommendation on the Mr World Wide cocktail and I couldn’t fault it, it was amazing. Will definitely be back!

We popped in here on friday for a quick bite to eat and a drink while waiting for our train and were pleasantly surprised by our experience. The food was lovely and very reasonably priced, my partner had the double cheeseburger and I had a few starter/ side dishes. Everything came out pretty quickly and exactly how we ordered it. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful, especially Chrissy who took our order at the bar, making sure my partners burger came out right as he always makes a few awkward changes to it but she was very polite and chatty and made it seem like no problem at all. She even talked me into getting a cheeky cocktail instead of my usual OJ & lemonade which was a lovely little treat. Will definitely be back next time we’re in Kilmarnock!

Food portions are ridiculously small!! Taste is okay but nothing special very over priced.

Was in here a couple of weeks ago. Hadn't been in for a while. Fair to say, it will be even longer or never again till I'd return. There were 10 of us for lunch, and we were all of the same opinion regarding portion size. Not a lot on our plates for the money! As well as some things not quite up to par. Most ate what they had, each person probably not wanting to say too much as nobody else around the table was. I ordered a gammon steak, which was absolutely dreadful, don't think I've ever in my life seen a gammon steak so thin, honestly the napkin was thicker!! And as such it had been way overcooked. I ate a few pieces and left the rest. A total waste off money, so sadly, First Edition I won't be recommending anyone I know to visit.

Cheers the Last Edition where everyone goes because no one knows your name. The First Edition demonstrates a lesser known law of world of pub that the length of the bar is inversely proportional to the quality of and the time to be served. If you think having a tv in your bedroom might be curtailing your sex life wait till you find the effect on your social life of having a tv at every table. The CIA based their extraordinary rendition acoustic torture sessions on the background noise in this pub. If Burns had drunk in this establishment there never would have been a First Edition because the deep sense of alienation it would have engendered would have snuffed out his poetic genius

Went in with the family for lunch and drinks...got told we wouldn't get a seat as a party of 20 had booked a section of the pub...only 7 of them turned up after 50 minutes...poor management... lesson to be learned

Brilliant wee pub! All staff are lovely and very attentive would highly recommend.

Ordered 2 subs the description sounded delicious however what arrived was anything but , the bread was stale and very very hard . The staff blamed a supplier issue but come on what kind of chef knowingly served stale food and then blamed the supplier, offers a free drink by way of compensation which we didn’t accept we won’t be back and we encourage others not to go there

Ordered All day breakfast, Mac n cheese & kids Chicken Goujons. We were served by Paula & Rob who were very attentive. Food was delicious & piping hot.

Food ie breakfast was very disappointing don't think we will be back.

What an absolute joy the staff have been in arranging our First Christmas night out for our Alzheimer Scotland “supper club” (people living with dementia aged under 65 and carers). The managers made this easy for our charity through booking to supporting us and understanding the dynamic of our group. We booked for 22 and the service on the night was outstanding. We will definitely book this next year and have booked our own staff Xmas night out on 22nd - food delicious and staff outstanding - we can’t wait to come back!! Thank you for making the night a success everyone loved it!!

Visited here for a group social event. Hadn't been in here for years. Staff were lovely & friendly and very welcoming. Food was delicious ( I had crispy prawns to start & Turkey for main ) service was excellent. I'll be back.

Great service and atmosphere at the First Edition. Sunday evenings they have a really good quiz night with multiple rounds and great prizes. Eveytime I've eaten here the food has been superb for a fair price as well. Big selection of beers on draught and loads of cocktails. Overall a fantastic place!

First visit on a CAMRA pub crawl. A similar venue to a Wetherspoon's but not really. Plenty of space and has live entertainment at weekends I believe. No food tried this visit.

Knew this place had a beer garden so on a sunny Sunday on a walk around town we popped in and what a cracking beer garden it is. Lots of seating and it's a huge area. Decent selection of beers on draft and reasonably priced.

Best pub in Killie! They have all live sports with amazing screens even have that via play! The staff are friendly and welcoming and the selection of food and drink is brilliant and great value, can't wait to smash a few pints in the beer garden in the summer!

Been to The First Edition on multiple occasions, atmosphere is brilliant & the food is unreal! It’s the perfect pub with the beer garden and the sports coverage. To top it off, you could not ask for better service from the very sociable & friendly staff. 100% will be back!

I was there on Saturday for the football. Atmosphere was great, loads of space and outdoor screens. Great service from Rob & Niall and all bar staff were fab.
