Sunday breakfast was disappointing

My wife picked this place and I wasn't really convinced, but after trying their chicken with haggis and bacon I would like to visit them again. Nice place, friendly staff, good food.

Food and service was 1st class. .

Tasty and great value - we enjoyed our Pork Escalope and especially loved our Chocolate Brownie pudding!

Went with a group of friends for lunch and it was lovely. Great food and delightful staff make for a great day out. Well done Cafe Source.

Ordered breakfast to take away here as my son was playing rugby. 2 very straightforward, no fuss breakfast items. Took 25minutes with no update from the staff until I had to ask, then handed the wrong order and when I said it’s not good enough was told I was rude. Never their fault as they stand around! I’ve tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt each time we have tried it but had enough making excuses for bad service, mediocre food and over charging - we are members of the sports club so should get a discount but somehow they overcharged a tea, roll and omelette at almost £13 Time to get off your west end high horse and get the finger out at better service from the staff - who today were more interested in making their own coffee than helping the paying customers

Fabulous lunch here today. Really hard to decide what to have as there was such a great choice! Good , service and atmosphere brilliant. Will definitely be back.

First visit weired everything about it.

Coffee is way over priced at £3.5 for a latte + automatic ...but optional..10% SC. It's a venue within a sports pavilion so one would expect competitive pricing. I won't be back.

My friend and I needed a good old catch up and decided to go to Cafe Source as not been for a while! We were disappointed! The young waitress needed more training in customer service - she asked us same questions many times....and didnt seem too confident? My friend had the Croque Monsieur and had to send back as it was cold....not even an authentic Croque Monsieur either! I was quite happy with my order of Prawn and Avocado in a bun, plenty of it and apart from salad consisting of just green leaves out a packet it was quite acceptable. My friend had a Rose wine which was tastleless and I had white wine and soda, which again was tastless. We chose to go elsewhere for coffee.....we also chose to decline the optional service charge as we didnt think deserved it!

A nice restaurant once you find it as it is within a sports club and not well signposted. Very clean with a small menu but the food was freshly cooked and hot. Service was great with pleasant staff. Note that a 10% service charge is added to the bill automatically at the end

Food quality could be improved for those prices. Menu could be more tailored to a sports club. Nice selection of beers. Indoor environment and service could be much improved.

Nice venue and the staff are great. Would recommend. Also a great sports club with a class Cricket team.

What an amazing place this is! A lovely spot in the evening when the sun is out, extremely accommodating to all. Great food, drinks and atmosphere.

It's a great setting in here. When busy, it's full of old west end tarts steaming. The food is very overpriced but its not bad. Staff are a bit screechy and annoying. Decent enough on a nice day

It’s a not very friendly ‘dog friendly’ cafe; having arrived with my small dog I was told to sit in an isolated corner away from other diners so as not to annoy them. £18.50 for a poor salad and plastic bottle of mineral water (which Tesco sells £2 for a pack of 8 bottles). I wasn’t offered salt a pepper. I was very disappointed with the supervisor’s attitude, the food and considered it very expensive given the poor quality. My dog expressed his opinion upon leaving 💦💦

Turned up on spec at lunchtime and was fitted in to an already busy service. The service was very friendly and fairly swift. There is a really good choice of modern and traditional dishes on the menu and the food was very tasty and well presented at reasonable prices for Glasgow's busy West End. This is a nice quiet location tucked off the main road and it has a really nice buzzy atmosphere at lunchtime. A longtime favourite for meeting up with friends or taking mum for a really nice lunch when back in town.

Best service by Alan. Keeps me sane at Saturday morning tennis.

Visited today for first time. First class service, food was absolutely fab - portion size is very good and food freshly cooked and piping hot. Staff very friendly and despite being very busy still smiling. We will definitely be back.

Taken here by recommendation from brother living near area. Excellent and varied menu especially gluten free. Owner himself is Coeliac as I recommended him on his menu. Tucked away off main road and beaten track. Excellent and friendly service.

Here for a funeral wake.Hardly any parking and spaces very tight beside each other.Only other parking on the main street which may be metered. No sign to say where to go just free for all.Nice sandwiches,sausage rolls,cakes and coffee and tea. A bar person came round the table to collect drink orders. Overall service and place okay.

The food here is lovely. We had the Cullen skunk and the avocado and poached eggs. The reason for the three stars is the lack of atmosphere, cheap looking tables and lack of atmosphere which does nothing to promote the kitchen’s efforts.

We started of with the ham hough terrine with pineapple chutney - a great combination and an excellent terrine. For mains we had the ox cheek and haggis pithivier. Sounds an odd combo but it tasted delicious. The ox cheek is slow-cooked for 7 hours we were told. I know they're just vegetables, but all 5 of them were cooked to perfection. To finish off we shared a creme brulee. The best brulee I've had in years. Warm, crisp top; cold and creamy underneath, with a surprise tangy coulis at the bottom. I need to mention that the portions are generous and the service was friendly and fast. A great night out.

A brilliant dinner and drinks booked for my wife's 30th birthday with family and friends. We were given a separate area for our group which was lovely. Great food, drinks and atmosphere, with granparents and kids. Lovely and helpful staff who did a great job organising and even bringing out her cake for us! Parking was useful too! 100% recommend!

I ordered fish and ships.. the food was tasteless and took forever to be served although the place was empty.. aside from the music that was so loud and when I asked them to do something about I got attitude from the waitress so I asked for the assistant manager which had worse attitude..will not go again and for sure I do not recommend anyone stepping a foot there

Reading that review by Yas80301 and thinking she must have been in a different restaurant or really gone out her way to get anything other than friendly, efficient service! I visit here often and find the staff are fantastic and go above and beyond to give excellent service. The food is fab and always served with a smile. To the managers and staff, keep doing what you’re doing, you’re doing great!

Bad food and bad customer service

The standard of hospitality is zero, have never seen worse than that in my life, not recommended, very rude staff.

I just had the worst experience of my life in this restaurant from their manager Ron. He was very rude, very disrespectfulI and impolite, i filed a complaint and awaiting their reply.

I wanted to throw a suprise party for my partner. We had over 40 people come on the evening, friends & family. The evening was amazing, we made some really good memories. This was enabled by the wonderful team who made it such a special day, BIG thanks to Lorn who was running up and down the stairs all night making sure everyone was happy and to the team that were on that night. If your thinking about throwing a party or doing an event the guys there are great and really put a lot of care into the planning and executing your special day.

Great place to eat. The menu is varied and the food is freshly cooked and delicious. The staff are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them. Will definitely be back.

We had a funeral party. Excellent venue, nice location, great food, attentive staff. Jacqui acted as a meet and greeter to us. Wonderful service, nothing was any trouble for them. I highly recommend for this type of function as sensitive to our needs.

We were very impressed with the menu and the service. Alan our server was excellent. Food was lovely and we left knowing that we will definetly be back.

Our Rotary Club (Kelvin) meets here. They look after us well and the food is lovely. Recommended! Update-the opening hours are now shorter so we can't meet at our usual time. Food still very nice at lunchtime. Mat be back to longer hours in March 22.

Sat down outside for a coffee with friends after playing tennis. Firstly the coffee was served cold. I tried to go in and use the toilet but was not allowed access with shoes on. The staff were rude. The rules are you are not allowed into the cafe area with tennis shoes on because the staff have to clean the floors. Absolutely bizarre ! If I have just been out in the park walking my dog do you inspect my footwear to see if it’s suitable for entry ? Never have heard of a business turning away customers and being rude to them. There is another cafe round the corner who love their customers oh and they are a tennis club too !

Cafe Source have introduced a new tapas style menu and our selections were delicious. A good bottle of Malbec and lovely staff all add up to a great night out!

we had a meal after a funeral and although we arrived 45 mins earlier than anticipated were met with smiles and respect and advised they would prepare the food as soon a possible.We were shown to our places and tea and coffee provided followed by food shortly after.The food was plentiful and well presented and staff were excellent.

Very friendly and a lovely meal.

Understandably the Menu is somewhat restricted just now with no specials but the quality is still there in abundance. Great vegan Tomato soup followed by Roast Veg/Halloumi Salad topped with French Fries GREAT to be back open!!!

Only went for a drink on this visit but staff were great even allowed to take our pampered pooch. Looking forward to going back for a meal.

Had a fantastic meal from the Itison menu. Vegetarian haggis, pate, croque Provençal, pork belly with a bottle of Prosecco and Baileys cheesecake. Everything was really tasty and good quality. Staff were lovely. We would definitely recommend and will be back soon.

Just dropped in for a coffee. It was good and had a nice friendly atmosphere. Food looked as though it might be good.

Cafe Source too have a great events suite upstairs- our go to for work and other parties; food great, drinks reasonable prices and staff fabulous. You can really do your own thing. Last week we had a party and although we confirmed for 60 covers for a 3 course sit down we had a lot of extra people arrive on the night! I thought we would all be going hungry! Ross and the team were great! The kitchen produced all extra food in a flash and no one was the wiser! The night was excellent and I could relax and enjoy!

Having been married here on Saturday the 5th October we felt we would be doing a disservice to all other potential newlyweds by not highlighting how good a venue this is.

Good here is lovely standard dining out food. Nothing spectacular, but taste is good and few options I would happily choose to eat.

We were staying at the nearby Leonardo Inn Hotel and found this restaurant a short walk away. Definitely worth it. A lovely menu, with a good selection of specials. The food was well cooked, well presented and tasty.

Visited here on Saturday evening & was blown away with how good it was. Not only was it very good quality it was great value. The quality of service was also high. Try the Cullen Skink, it’s one of the best I’ve tried.

Todos tuvimos entrantes de pate / cullenskink y platos principales de pollo / lubina que todos disfrutaron especialmente el cullenskink que estaba delicioso. La única cosa negativa fue la papa fondant en nuestro plato principal era un poco poco hecha pero no nos impidió disfrutar de nuestra comida. El personal era amable y atento y el restaurante era muy relajado. Pudimos estacionar el automóvil, que era una ventaja adicional, especialmente en Westend. Sin duda volveremos aquí de nuevo.
