La Vita in Glasgow City

Una experiencia tan maravillosa en el ambiente el personal es amable y conocedor que van que un paso adelante para hacer que se sienta como en casa con la elección de comida y bebidas camareros eran grandes y todo el personal se apoyaba mutuamente. Esperamos un rato por nuestra agua, pero el restaurante estaba muy ocupado. Comida excelente servicio estupendo en general súper y volvería una y otra vez. Los camareros tomaron fotos y salieron a su manera para cantar feliz cumpleaños 🥳

Excelente comida y servicio impecable y amable. Estuvimos allí un sábado por la noche y los malabares de mesas y pedidos se hicieron con plena profesionalidad.

Tenía una excelente pizza (Sophia Loren) y pasta (Penne di Matteo) para la cena aquí. Vino de la casa (vino de casa) también fue muy buena opción. Rematado por (verdaderamente) casa - hecho tiramisú. El personal era muy amable. El lugar estaba bastante ocupado el sábado por la noche, pero incluso sin una reserva estuvimos sentados en 10 minutos.

Excelente restaurante con muy buena comida y personal atento (especialmente Tony ). Siempre muy ocupado por lo que se recomienda reservar.

We regularly visited La Vita for breakfast when we where in town. Today was nothing less than shocking, no hello or any sort of welcome into the restaurant, simply taken to a table upstairs and given menus, we ordered from the breakfast menu with a pot of tea and latte, what arrived was a half-filled (including the milk froth) latte glass. We sat for a further 30 minutes and asked where our breakfast was as our hot drinks were now finished to be roughly told “ I will get you hot drinks’’, our breakfast arrived it was stone cold, the toast was even cold to touch and the one taste of scrambled egg contained egg shell so we said to the waitress and that both dishes weren’t even remotely warm and the only one tried had egg shell in it, they were visibly not happy so we just said that we would be leaving as another half hour wait wasn’t an option. I stopped at the till and was bluntly told to “just give me £7” ! The customer service was beyond shocking, the woman in the black suit on the door and till was very abrupt to everyone that we witnessed coming into the restaurant and the place was freezing due to all of the full height street level windows being wide open to which she said the boss had said they must be left open, other diners asked to be moved due to it being so cold, they were seated at various table upstairs and all served their food at different times. This place has lost 2 customers who have recommended the place to others, never again! Times are difficult enough and particularly in the hospitality sector so maybe this establishment’s owner / management should look at what is going on when they are not there. Sadly, we will never return to La Vita and feel sorry for any visitors to the city today who went into La Vita, it certainly was not warm or welcoming.

Restaurant wasn't too busy at 6pm on a Thursday evening last week with my Niece before going to a concert. Ordered 2 Pizzas... pictures say it all. Only thing I like about my time here was the cheesecake and my Niece had the Strawberry tart. Apart from that... I wouldn't go back. £57 for 2 soft drinks. 1 very cremated pizza and 1 slightly cremated pizza. 2 deserts. I did email the restaurant the following day as I didn't want to make a fuss in front of my Niece. No reply after a week and a half so I take it this place doesn't care.

Personally, I thought this place was great and the food...sooo good, I love pasta but this was delicious. Recommended

We only had drinks but people seemed to eat very comfortably. Good terrace and central.

Was extremely disappointed as I don't eat meat menu said I could have alternative I ordered lasagne ( meat free) was told not available I was not directed by gentleman taking my order to what was available he just stood looking at me pen in hand I just felt flustered and took veg pizza staff where otherwise polite and courteous l usually go to Bishopbriggs never had a problem

We ate here yesterday as a group of 5. When we arrived there was an issue with our booking and they accommodated us no problem and needed the table back by 2pm. We ordered our food and received a complimentary Prosecco as part of the deal which was flat and warm we then asked this to be changed we then further ordered a bottle of Prosecco to which we were told you don’t have time for that. As a paying customer with an hour left on our table surely you would want as much revenue as possible. So we settled for a glass of Prosecco to which was full of foam and not Prosecco this was also sent back. The female server we had was extremely rude. Food was amazing but her attitude was shocking we will not be back.

Cute place with amazing food. They were run off their feet as it seemed they needed more staff but the food was worth the wait. The French toast was exactly as I wanted - good bread and fresh fruit. Price to be expected 4 people 60 quidish

Very disappointed in the staff in this establishment. No manners what so ever. Very rude to paying customers! I took a service user out for lunch who is Autistic, after our lunch I asked the server for 2 "separate bills" so I can take recipes back to office. I was told in a horrible cheeky attitude " I should have told him it was going to be separate recipes before ordering. Where does this establishment advise this? No notice up! This caused my service user with Autism to be very distressed. I definitely won't be back and will be telling everyone else not to come here. Teach your staff manners towards customers!

Excellent service! Great atmosphere

I had been trying for ages to get a table, popular place. Wish I hadn't bothered. Reading reviews there is a a trend when a particular waitress is on duty. There was a mix up at the desk with the booking, the person mixed our party of four up with a customer with same name and party of two. When food came it was luke warm, gravy left an aftertaste. Halfway through the meal the waitress came up and asked had we booked and did we have documentation then shrugged her shoulders to a waiter. Food resulted in a bout of food poisoning. I have been to all the restaurants in the group in Glasgow and they have been excellent, both food wise and service. But will never be back at this one on the corner of George square. They need to up their staff and recruit some with manners!

Awful. We booked a table but had to queue outside even although we were on time. Waiting staff couldn’t speak English and kept bumping into us without even an apology. We eventually left as we were left standing for a long time and the food looked plastic. Don’t bother booking.

When I arrived, my friends were already in the restaurant and had placed their orders without any issues. However, when I tried to order, the manager refused, simply because I arrived 40 minutes before closing time—even though I could clearly see that food was still being prepared for other guests. What made the situation even worse was the way he communicated this decision—it was extremely rude and unprofessional. There was no courtesy or respect, just an unpleasant attitude that made us feel unwelcome. This is not the level of service I would expect from a restaurant I have been supporting for a long time. Very disappointing!”

Food ok if you’re looking for a quick bite to eat in town. 3 x small plates £16.99, 4 x small processed meatballs with tomato sauce, 2 x arancini balls with tomato sauce , 1 x smal slice bruschetta, very busy so obv mass produced and fired out. Nice decor inside but lots of people packed in and very noisy with dishes being clattered about and smashed. Cocktails were great, Strawberry Daiquiri was lovely.

This visit was for coffee and cakes. The food looked delicious, varied menu with special deals. The cakes / desserts were delicious and huge. We had to have leftovers boxed up to take home

Great restaurant but the service was slow I was waiting to pay for my bill. I was waiting for over 20 minutes I was seen waiting and the waiters just kept waking by. I went downstairs to pay and got followed saying I was running without paying. Extremely poor service not impressed at all. I go to La Vita any time I'm in town with friends or family but will think twice about going back

service was horrible. 2 hairs were found in my food. never going again. also, they don’t do vegetarian options for non-vegetarian food when it was clearly stated IN THE MENU they’ll make my food vegetarian. if you ask, the man will scream at you.

Absolutely phenomenal place to go. My partner and I went as a belated valentines night out and loved every moment, food was excellent and the staff were superb. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

Myself and my wife visited La Vita on the evening of Sunday 16th Feb, we booked a table and arrived promptly, we waited approx 10 mins for our table which considering it was busy wasn't too bad. We we're shown to our table on the top floor and we're seated by a very friendly member of staff, and this is where the problems start. The table we were given was in a very narrow area where it appeared it had been placed just to add more seating, 3 or 4 tables were placed like this, with a table to our left with a 1 foot gap and and table to my right with approx 1.5 foot gap. The waiters serving the tables around us couldn't get through easily without constantly bumping our chairs and to make matters worse, where we were sitting was also the route to the rest rooms. Unfortunately, throughout the evening we had waiters almost knock our drinks twice and only saved due to my panther like reflexes, and had my started pushed by a bum once and main meals twice by people squeezing past to go to the restrooms. Although the food was delicious and service couldn't be faulted with very apologetic waiters, my concern is that management took the decision to place extra tables for increased monetary gain rather than customer comfort and the serious health & Safety issues if an emergency was to occur. This was our 1st visit to La Vita and unfortunately would not be returning which is a shame because we did enjoy our meal and service couldn't be faulted.

Been going to lavita for years . This trip was disappointing. Waitress was distracted and focused on playing on her phone at one point , brought my drink order which was wrong . Food server was lovely . Carbonara spaghetti was disappointing. Definitely of my fav Italian list.

A restaurant that serves vegetarian food that isn't suitable for vegetarians. Both parmigiano and gran padano are cheeses that contain animal rennet. The server seemed quite angry after this was questioned for her to eventually recognise the errors of her ways. The server bringing the label to the table for me to confirm that she was wrong. Customer service was lacking as confrontation on her part was not welcomed. Service was slow, particularly when we were waiting for our £6.70 pints to arrive. Ambience spoiled by servers clattering plates when clearing tables and the buzzer noise that was used to indicate dishes had been sent was grating. Having spent £700 on the bill and £70 on the service charge, I was unimpressed. Giving the size of our group space was very tight, not much elbow room for eating. Menu rethink required as your vegetarian dishes breach trades description act. Far too many CCTV cameras. This restaurant chain used to be good, but as they have expanded, so has their greed.

The food was delicious, the waiter was super attentive, lovely man, but the service from the girl who welcomed me at the door was terrible, rude, maybe she was in a bad mood, which is not my problem, apart from that, I recommend it.

I took my mum here for her birthday and we loved it. The food was excellent and our waiter, Nazim, delivered first class service. I would definitely recommend.

Great food, I had the haggis arancini followed by the risotto con salsiccia - both tasty and filling. The staff were pleasant, and very accommodating.

Really nice place had mussels with garlic bread and some black pudding fritters. Really delicious. I would definitely go back. Very nice friendly staff and v pleasant atmosphere.

For being an Italian restaurant it certainly wasn't the best the food was 2/10 very bland and the pizzas was poor and it was very very tite u couldn't even go to the toilet without asking a member of staff if i could get past them. Certainly not the best. Then there's the 10% service charge which i don't get I'm already paying for the food and drink now u need to pay for them to bring the food to u. All-round it wasn't a nice experience sorry but my party of 14 won't be back.

NJ and NY style pizza…crisp thin crust with very fresh toppings. And we’re from Jersey. Nice wine selection and great soups. Go HERE for pizza my dear Easterners from the US!

This is my favourite Italian in Glasgow.Have been here so many times to mention AND have NEVER had a bad meal or experience.The service is excellent,ambiance fab and the food is simply amazing.Also what makes it stand out is you can pick the kind of pasta you want and if you're a small eater you can ask for a smaller portion as they are always happy to accommodate.Its well situated,with a few nice pubs really near by.Well with a visit.The place itself is on three levels,the second level is my favourite.Give it a go.You WONT BE DISSAPOINED

Really enjoyed the food here. It's very small and could feel a little cramped depending on where you get sat but it's not enough to take away from a good experience. Pizza was great and the desserts especially Thier own cakes and tarts were amazing.

Visited yesterday at 4pm. Told quite harshly that they would need the table back by 5.30. Not great. Table for two squashed in to a space with another table for two which was only big enough for one table. The table was wobbly which I had to fix myself by putting a napkin under the table leg. Given a dirty wine glass which the waiter exchanged after being asked. We were asked by the waiter if we wanted spoons for eating our pasta and he never returned with them. The menu is far too expensive for what it is. Our total bill was £55.64 for two small bowls of pasta, a small plate of bread and two glasses of wine. That's not on. The place just feels like tourist trap conveyor belt due to the location and the staff just trying to turn as many tables as possible. There are far better Italian restaurants in Glasgow to spend your money in.

I've eaten here a few times and always enjoyed it. The food is quite straightforward Italian, done very well, and the price is fine for the quality. The staff are always friendly and helpful in my experience, and I'll definitely be back.

Very busy here and we had a festive menu set price. My meal was nice but quite average. The bill came with a 10% service charge which we were unaware of prior to eating. It was added handwritten at bottom of the bill. We just paid it, the staff were busy so service wasnt great.

Cramped seating,food good but ordered drinks before starters were finished,had finished main course before drinks arrived,eating main course without drinks wasn't the best,waitress came over and said I will chase them up as you've been waiting a while,still waited asked to speak to manager,who was dismissive and unhelpful,he said we were waiting 13mins since check went in,but it was nearer 25mins,maybe offering water for the table at busy periods would save the issue,

" Life is Beautiful " @ La Vita as are the meals and service. They handle the larger demands at this busy time of the year effortlessly. Their traditional Italian meals are exceptional but you`ve got to try their traditional Scottish breakfast : )

First time I've ever dined here... won't be my last. From the welcome as we entered everything was fabulous. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff couldn't do enough to ensure your visit was special... even though it was crazy Christmas busy and the staff had their work cut out for them... they did it with class.. 5 stars from me and I will definitely be back ✨️

Over crowded & poor service. Late being seated & asked to vacate the table on time before everyone finished the main course & again while waiting for deserts - deserts served 15 - 20 minutes after our time to vacate table. Food was very good when served but very reluctant to go back

Sunday morning, brunch, thought this place looked nice. Service was slow and sub-par, that was before it got busy. I got the eggs Royale which was fine, not all that great. Then my lady got the house breakfest speciality which was atrocious. “Spicy heavy cream eggs” The whole thing was waterlogged with milk not cream and the eggs weren’t even cooked, could see translucent bits in them. Utterly hellish. Don’t normally leave reviews, but this was a notable poor experience. Had this dish elsewhere and wasn’t served this way at all. Definitely put off coming back here again for brekky or dinner.

lovely food good service and friendly staff the only problem is that in my opinion they have comprimised on the amount of tables set up within the retaurant far too busy and not enough room to sit comfortably and enjoy the experience i know it is a very busy time of year but it is more enjoyable to have your meal and service in a more comfortable setting

First time Visiting and will definitely be back! We ordered the Bruschetta de Parma and Lasagna parcels to start which were delish! I ordered the Arrabbiata and my husband had the lobster oriental pasta both were lovely although mine was better if you like a bit of spice! The Tiramisu is so good! Thanks to the staff as they were all so friendly and couldn't do more for us. Thank you for making our night just what we both needed!

Zero table service when arrived. Staff for miserable. Only option to order two courses from the same menu on tables were ridiculously close together. Such a shame as a venue is beautiful but wouldn’t visit again

We came here for our work Christmas dinner. We were a big party of 10 and the service was flawless. The staff were an absolute delight, so helpful and friendly. The food was also spectacular every dish was devoured. Amazing buzz in the place it was busy but not chaotic. La vita never dissappoint and we will absolutely be back again!
