The best restaurants serving British food in England

quality of food to price ratio is incredible we tried multiple items on the menu and I was shocked as each dish got better and better, I will be thinking of the scallops for a while though as they where possibly the best i've ever had genuinely cant wait to eat here again

Good food lovely staff and ambience atmosphere will visit again had the roast which was very fulfilling and desert was to die for

I was disappointed that the Set Lunch Menu was no longer available but, as we received a warm welcome, decided to stay for lunch. The menu is a cut above the standard pub menu with prices to fit, although there was a limited Pub Classics choice. My onion tart was well cooked, although the dish as a whole was very oily. My husband's fish and chips came in a very generous portion but slightly overcooked. All in all, we would not go again for lunch as there were no light alternatives but I am sure it would be perfect for a special occasion.

A warm welcome , food was great , pool table , darts , free parking , reasonably priced .. we enjoyed our visit we wish the couple who have recently taken over all success

We visited the Artisan Tap for the first time today to see Mark and Adam from The Bluetones play an acoustic gig. Great intimate venue with good selection of drinks and great staff. Will definitely look out for future events here

Super lunchtime menu at reasonable prices. Plenty of choice, friendly and attentive staff, cosy little place. Booking recommended to avoid disappointment as it can get busy.

Una joya absoluta de un lugar. Esta es mi segunda vez en Bank y es brillante. La calidad de la cocina, ingredientes y servicio es de primera. Me encanta que no tengan sal y pimienta en la mesa, siempre una señal de que los chefs son lo suficientemente hábiles para sazonar perfectamente. No soy vegetariana, pero me quedé impresionada por el plato de puerro, el plato de brócoli, el plato de Celeriac... En realidad también me preocupa compartir que el tiramisú de cereza ahumada era una porción enorme y ridículamente bueno. Un knockout.

Best fish and chips in eastbourne trust Me

Took my Mum here for Mother’s Day and it was absolutely fabulous. We were given 15 minutes grace period for our booking which we needed. The decor, the service, the food- everything was immaculate and most importantly my Mum had a great time and was treated like royalty. Particularly enjoyed the pear jam (they give you 4 different ones to choose from).

The carvery was excellent just like old times with plenty of everything and good service. There were different of us and we did not have to wait would recommend.

Great little restaurant. Super food and wine, friendly service to us and our dog! Our only challenge was that the portion sizes were very generous for us, but we took the remainder home to enjoy again. Would thoroughly recommend. Lots of GF options too.

As a group of 15 walkers, arrangements with the pub were made in advance. On the day, all went smoothly with good service and tasty freshly cooked food. We mostly ate from the two course menu - good value at £15.50. The homemade spotted dick pudding is to be recommended as is this welcoming country pub.
