Hotel Chocolat Bishops Stortford in East Hertfordshire

Hi, my family and I visited Nando's Bishops Stortford on Friday 18th October at approximately 6.30pm. We are regular customers and have never been disappointed with the food until then. Upon clearing our plates, Isabelle asked us if everything was ok. I said that usually it is but I had found my chicken to be very dry. Isabelle said just, "Sorry", immediately turned to the next table and that was the end of our conversation. I wasn't looking for a discount on my bill but Isabelle's "customer service" left alot to be desired.

Best Nando’s meal I’ve had and the best service in any restaurant for some time. Shout to the guy that served me — ended my day on a good note!

Stopped by the Nando’s in Bishop Stortford on our way back from Stansted Airport. The service was good and friendly. The food was hot and tasty. It was a takeaway so can't comment on the experience, but the atmosphere seemed good.

Really good experience and great food

First tried a delivery but the rider was going around aimlessly nowhere near my location. Eventually got a call from support to say it wouldn’t arrive. Then went down for pickup which was 20 minutes late. 2 hours to get my original order

Lovely dinner had here this evening. Didn’t feel like cooking so ventured out. Was sat down promptly, ordered via the app, and the food arrived quite quickly. Everything was hot and delicious, as expected for Nandos. Served efficiently and with a smile. Many thanks to Clayton for making this a friendly and positive visit.

Took my family here for my son’s 18th birthday. The staff were amazing and made it really special for him and even bought out the cake that we provided.

A fantastic Nando’s experience - we’ve eaten at many Nando’s across the country but never have we had service as fantastic as this! I didn’t catch his name but the man who served us was a delight - possibly the manger as he wore a different checked shirt to the rest of the team! We were greeted with incredible warmth, seated quickly and incredibly well looked after. We also received free drinks on the house from a different team member as we couldn’t access the wifi - lovely touch. Food was great as well. Thanks team for a lovely lunch and experience - great service done well :)

We have come to Nando's a lot and gotta give a great review about Clayton, because his attitude is always great, he is really friendly and always helpful, that had never changed He sees us walk through and seats us straight away so great service So thank you for making our visit to Nandos every time great.

I'd like to thank the lovely gentleman who works at this restaurant for his kindness in helping me today. I am a fifty something lady with severe pain. He noticed this and took my.order at my table for me as I was dining alone. He took payment at the table and also collected my bottomless drink for me. I didn't ask for any of this help at all, he just offered it from the kindness of his heart. I then ordered an ice cream and he gave it to me on the house! Just to brighten my day. I didn't catch your name but you restored my faith that there are still such beautiful souls in this world. Thank you for your kindness. It meant so much to me.

Best nandos I’ve ever been to, gave extra peri salt and order was perfect. Still hot after delivery and packaged very well 😃

Wanted to order via the app except to create an account on it they want to send you a code via text for verification...but there's 0 signal in the restaurant... other than that it was good except no options for those who don't like spice, and the peri peri BBQ sauce is awful, far far to sweet 🤮

Food not worm no check back staff to busy talking to themselves. Not quite Iver. Same I didn't want to hear about why they want to leave.

Angel, Scarlett and Lewis attended to our table throughout the night and all had a lovely demeanour. They were very attentive to all our needs and quickly delivered our food from the speedy kitchen.

The food was ok, what you expect from Nandos these days, the portions are getting smaller. Also whenever I ask staff to consolidate points from two cards I have, they just give me a new one 😞

A centrally situated family restaurent. There will dishes on the menu to suit most tastes. Well worth popping along to see whats on the menu.

We haven't been to Nando's for a long time and were pleased to see things were just as good. I did notice there were a lot more side dishes to choose from.

First time in Nando's and thought it had a good family atmosphere about it. Food was reasonable value for money. I thought the waiters/waitresses where very welcoming, polite and professional a credit to them.

Very good food. We ordered the Butterfly Burger with Spicy Lemon & Herb + fries. Tasty, but the roll could have been toasted and warm. For food plus a bottle of cider it came to £21.85. The price is a bit high but it's UK :)

Food was so good But staff members were rowing in front of me and swearing. Made me feel uncomfortable. I work in hospitality and am aware busy work environments can cause stress but this was embarrassing.

Me and my partner went there for dinner today, I had a sunset burger and my partner had grilled chicken pitta , he said that the pitta had so little chicken and it was undercooked as we both got food poisoning, not even an hour after eating. I don’t think we would be visiting that Nando’s in bishop stortford again

It's a Nandos that cooks it's food well, with something for healthy eating people too. The style of the dishes are quite dry with loses a star.

Tasty chicken but we both got food poisoning later in the night. Was it because of the tea ? Who knows but we’ll never come back

Super nette Bedienung, tolle Auswahl und ein spitzenmäßigen Choco Kakao, echt der Wahnsinn wie lecker dieser gewesen ist, auch die Schokolade ist spitzenmäßig, nicht günstig aber sehr sehr gut.

I’ve always enjoyed Nandos never had problems before but lately they seems that they are doing a lot of mistakes , I’m really disappointed with the food they send me with 2 sides missing and finding a piece of chicken pink ( not cooked properly) like before . I think there is a new stuff , rude and with no experience, they didn’t want to send my rice I didn’t want a refund only my food . Even the bag they send was damaged

Really brilliant manager on duty, a lovely lady whose name I have forgotten. I was there on Sunday two weeks ago. Another member of staff, Erika maybe? Was incredible as well. The two of them made the visit really lovely.

first time in Nandos ever and we had a great experience :) we were greeted very warmly by Ish (sorry if I spelled your name wrong <3) -- the rest of the staff was very lovely as well. our food was faster than we expected, and very delicious!

Would give zero if I could, my friend ordered me a double chicken pitta, chips and garlic bread. I received a portion of chips and a portion of rice, no pitta, no chicken. All the orders were wrong and to make matters worse they were 25 minutes late for the order (collection order). When he called the store to complain he was told that they were unable to compensate, despite him having paid for the order. There are many nandos restaurants out there thay are very good, avoid this one.

We have been here quite a few times the last couple of weeks and I must say that the service has been incredible. The staff are very polite and always take the time to say ‘bye’ when we leave. The food is always prompt and well cooked. This by far is the best Nando’s I have ever been to for atmosphere, excellent staff service and consistently well cooked food.

It was my first time in Nandos here in the UK. It is completley different than the one in dubai also the menu is not the same. However, the food taste and the service as well as the atmosphere was really top notch. We had a bonless sharing platter with spicy rice and rainbow salad as well as peri salted chips and every single item was just perfect. All in all i was really happy and will be back for more. PS: please add the espetada in your menu

Today went to nandos for lunch with my family and l really enjoyed the customer service from Finley and Grace. The food was great too. Always great to visit nandos

The food was great as always, the staff were friendly and my girlfriend and I had a nice time. There was a little confusion in which we were initially brought the wrong dishes, but the staff were terrific, the error was quickly resolved and I was reimbursed for the difference - and even given a partial refund on the whole order for the trouble. So far so good, no complaints there! My reason for giving 3 stars was not because of the above. Instead, it was because the person explaining the deductions from the bill (bearded guy, seemed to be senior to the others) managed to aim the entire conversation exclusively in the direction of my girlfriend, even after she pointed out that it was in fact myself who had paid the bill. I didn't want to blow the otherwise cheery mood by interrupting to point this out again myself, since I assumed he would soon turn to me anyway, but he never did. Credit where it’s due, he was nothing but pleasant and friendly, but it is hard not to be a little offended that I essentially paid to get ignored. After all, the other staff involved knew that it was me who had ordered and paid for both meals, and presumably would have briefed him on the situation before he came over, and yet he somehow decided that the money matter rested squarely with my polite but bemused girlfriend as he attentively talked her through the receipts. Maybe he twigged when I picked up the stack of refunded coins he placed in front of her, but maybe he just thought an invisible ghost was making the coins float away. Still, now I know how women feel when they visit car dealerships with their husbands!

Staff shortage. The waiter forgot to serve the glass together with the starter plate and no forks available at the self-service cutlery station. I informed the waiter but after 5 minutes I was tired of waiting and I grabbed a single use wood spoon nearby the tile to solve the problem. I am looking forward to edit my review if the situation changes in the future.

The food is really nice especially the chicken and the peri-salted chips. The overall price isn't that expensive and it was worth it.

Food took 30 minutes to come as they didn’t process my order. Ish bullied my friend about his spice tolerance and called him wet for having plain-ish. Would not advise a visit!!!

I was served by a guy called Jordan. He gave myself and my friends absolutely excellent service. He was very welcoming and accommodating to us. Absolutely fantastic service.

Great service from a woman called Sara, extremely attentive and friendly. Couldn’t praise her enough.

I had the best experience with a waitress called Natalie. She was so friendly and was really quick with her service. She’s an extremely hard worker with jokes too.

Delicious, clean and fantastic service

We visited yesterday during a very busy period of service. The team that were there seemed very understaffed but they did not let this affect the level of excellent customer service we received. I’m not sure who the manager is but they should be very proud of their team. They all were friendly and approachable and very kind. Well done to you all! Thank you for looking after us so well. We will be back.

Been to many Nando's but tonight's meal was complimented by the friendliest staff and great food, to boot! Brilliant.

Pleasant staff, clean restaurant but in my opinion, the portion sizes have definitely been made smaller. Whether it's a cost cutting ploy or a one off, it was a pricy observation for our group.

Amazing customer service. Went there on Tuesday for lunch. Ordered a collection but changed my mind and wanted to eat in which was not an issue at all. A waitress (oriental origin) was super attentive and delivered great customer service (if she hasnt had her appraisal, she deserve a payrise) . Never had such a great service on any nandos in London. Food was also well prepped and quickly served. Thanks!
