We love this place: incredibly tasty bagels, fantastic cake, proper coffee - and more! Lovely staff, too, friendly, good-humoured and very efficient. It's at the edge of Cox's Meadow, an attractive and interesting piece of parkland for walking off the calories, and also a stone's throw from Cheltenham General, so very morale-boosting after a therapy session! Very pleasant outdoor seating is available back and front, so you can usually catch some sun!

Lovely friendly little cafe on the edge of Cox's Meadow. Perfectly situated for dog walkers or people just having a walk. The coffee is excellent and the cakes are too good to resist. Granted, parking is at premium but that's hardly the cafe's fault is it. You could always park in one of the side roads and walk....you'll feel less guilty about having that chocolate brownie!

We've used this cafe many times as a family. Walking there from home through the park. It's especially nice in the warmer months when you outside seating and the back opposite come into their own. Always lovely cakes and nice polite staff. Not part of a chain as far as I know which usually leads to a better experience.the Meadow Cafe is no exception. Reommended.

Good coffee and a reasonable selection of hot and cold snacks, this is located near the river Chelt and you can walk into the town centre via cycle paths and Sandford Park. The cafe is located in Cox’s meadow and there is parkland to walk around, good location for dog walking. There is no real view but it is still a break from the traffic and relaxing.

Just popped in after a failed hospital appointment, and what a result. Lovely bacon sandwich and coffee! Great service too. Evidence attached ;0)

As a coeliac, the availability and variety of quality Gluten Free and Gluten Free option food, made for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Very friendly service added icing to the (gluten free) cake !

Consistently great place for breakfast. Excellent food quality, friendly and quick service and really nice premises and location. We use it regularly when in Cheltenham. Cannot be faulted! 5 stars!

Lovely staff, nice selection of food and good vibes. Seats inside or under cover outside and totally in the sun if you prefer. Nice park next to the cafe if you prefer a takeaway and Potter. Dogs welcomed. Great place to hang out if you're waiting for anyone who has gone for a hospital appointment.

Charming coffee shop in Cheltenham. Super food and a nice setting. They give you a lovely touch with the timer to brew your tea. Highly recommended.

Just enjoyed a late breakfast at this great little cafe…. Definitely recommend the bacon & avocado bagels. Great coffee and cakes too….all served by friendly and welcoming staff! Perfect if you have your dog with you as it’s dog friendly and opens onto ample green space….

Bacon butty and fantastic Latte for my pit stop. Been visiting the Meadow since it opened and the change of ownership has not finished the service of quality of the food. Really handy for an e-scooter too.

The food is great and I love the cafe but I think you need to upgrade coffee supplier. It taste cheap. Lots of good roasters nearby. Ritual and fire and flow in the vicinity and then abundant options from Bristol and bath.

I've been coming here for the best part of a year and can honestly say it never fails. The bagels are amazing and the coffee is second to none. I always have a great conversation with the staff and look forward to each visit!

Used to be great for gluten free now not one cake only the horrible prepackaged bars available. Used to make the full menu of bagels now it’s only what’s left in the fridge. Gluten free and vegan are NOT THE SAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic place to take a break and chill for a quick meal. Went there on my birthday in September, the food and drinks were great. Also shout out to the guy that brought a blanket out so I could sit on the benches outside after it had been raining AND managed to help carry a food tray out at the same time. (There's a basket of the blankets by one of the doors if you need one).

Good gear. At first glance they seem to only sell coffee and cakes but on the tables and to the right of the door is a sandwich menu which is the star of the show

Popped in as I have often driven past this cafe and thought it looked good. Had a fantastic coffee and a great bacon sandwich. Delivered by friendly staff. Will gladly revisit when I next visit Cheltenham.

Sure I come on a very regular basis - why - because the coffee is always very good and the team are great. Very relaxing environment with seating indoor and out and very dog friendly. Bagels and bacon sarnies very good.

We have been coming here for years with our Fox Red labrador Alfie. Its a special place and unusual, becasue the friendly greeting and service is always top class and consistent, whenever we come. The food is high quality and the coffeee lovely but what sets it apart is that someone has clearly thought about what customers want; not just the food and drink, but the whole experience and it makes such a difference. I never write reviews but was there a few days ago and felt it was about time I recognised this place as it really deserves it

We popped in here to get lunch while sitting with a very poorly lady in a near by nursing home. We grabbed a Roma and New York Bagel which we asked for warmed/ toasted and a bag of crisps and slice of cake. This cost is nearly £18 which I think was very expensive indeed. The bagels were stone cold straight out of the chiller and simply cut in half in their wrappers and then put in a bag to take away. Neither of us enjoyed ours, tasteless because they were so cold, dry and really quite unpalatable and hard to eat. Mine had chunky slices of mozzarella in which would have been lovely warmed. I forced it down as I was so hungry. The Courgette and Avocado cake was only ok but nothing special. Thank goodness for my crisps ! Certainly won’t be going again.

What a brilliant place this is. Two large coffees and an excellent bacon sandwich for £11, served in lovely cups and saucers too. Service is excellent too - quick without rushing, efficient and considerate (my wife changed her mind about brown sauce with the sandwich and they happily served it to us in a separate dish so I didn’t have to have it). Will be back!

A chance discovery and what a lovely spot for a cup of coffee. Breakfast and lunch menus looked good so will definitely be back to try. Coffee was excellent too.

The opportunity for an amazing cafe is right here in Cheltenham, overlooking cox's meadow. There is lovely surrounding, and whilst the cafe has made a good start I feel that it is a work in progress rather than the finished article. Sausage was rather crispy, and the prices are, in my opinion about 20% too high.Table service was good but counter service was rather blunt and unfriendly. I am willing to try again though with another visit.

A really lovely cafe on the edge of the park. There's covered seating outdoors and you can sit inside too. There's a great choice of quality food and drink with great service. There are loo's in the cafe too and the place is dog friendly. No parking and right by the road are the only faults. It's well worth a visit, you'll be glad you went!

Visited for a morning coffee, staff were lovely and place was clean, we sat outside in the sunshine and enjoyed a cake to go with coffee. Highley recommended

So pleased to visit an establishment which gives that extra so rare these days, they had just finished hot service when we went in, but, no problem, relight the burners and up come three of the best bacon butties I've ever had, a very generous amount of bacon cooked to perfection! The americano was just perfect as well, all finished of with coffee cake....

£2.60 for a cup of tea served in a paper cup is expensive. Similarly, cake slice pricey at £3.75. This would be a place I would otherwise walk to regularly but it's not good value for money.

It was cold with the doors blowing freezing cold wind through and the expensive cake (biscoff) was stale... Very disappointing especially paying £10 for cake and 2 coffees .. won't visit again!

Nice spot near the hospital and Cox’s Meadow - if you get a table park side. Nice (if limited) selection of sandwiches. Good veg sausage option too. Nice drink options and a few home made cakes (though our slices didn’t seem especially fresh). We are happy to go there when near-buy.

Small hidden gem serving delicious tea, coffee, sandwiches and pastries. Have good selection of vegetarian and gluten free options. They are pet friendly as well.

Can't recommend their luxury fruit and nut muesli enough.

Excellent cup of coffee - good flavour, but as important, it was served steaming hot. Too often I've had coffee in cafes that aren't hot enough and in cold weather you end up with a luke warm drink. Had to sit outside but there were sheepskins on the benches which made a difference, plus the view of the park is lovely. Well done Meadow cafe and thank you!

Our favourite coffee in Cheltenham. Lovely staff and cakes always excellent - cannot forget the lemon pistachio… Looking forwards to trying The Urban Meadows in town.

Great staff, 1 way system for entry to the cafe so they are very covid aware and staff safe too... Food and coffee smelled great as I walked in, had coffee and millionaire shortbread. . . Just lovely, thank you all... 4 maybe 5 parking spaces just outside available too...

Great place to stop, good snacks, good coffee, good cake

Small but great food. Squatting next to the main road is this often overlooked little café. The simplicity of the wooden furniture adds to the quirkiness of the place. Quite reasonable prices given the quality of the food. The vegetarian and vegan offerings are first class. I'm not that keen on the Winstones ice cream sold here but in that I am in the minority in our family. If all the seating is taken, the adjacent meadow provides a natural picnic area or exercise space to work off the calories.

Stunning setting with friendly staff. Tight wheelchair access so go through the park gates and round the back.
