The best restaurants serving British food in England

It’s got very expensive and choices aren’t very good Visited since it took it over, great choice of different plants you can’t find elsewhere but the cafe is too expensive

Terrible, dated and over priced. £8 for e microwaved Cornish pasty and machine latte. Staff had no charisma and total rip off. This place is surviving on the boomer generation and their love of garden centres.

Tuvimos un almuerzo en la cafetería a nuestra llegada, y fue aceptable, pero no genial. Un get básico - in get - servido get - alimentado get - fuera. Los asientos y las mesas son básicos pero utilizables y el personal es amable y servicial.

Los desayunos amigables para el personal aquí son variables de promedio a pobre. Salchichas quemadas tocino duro de roca de huevo y mal hecho. Lo reemplazaron, pero enviar comida realmente pobre es probarlo e inaceptable en realidad. Las mesas necesitan limpieza y la sensación general no era como solía ser hace unos años.

Visited during the Car Festival. Just a basic bar in a large building serving in plastic cups. Cheaper than expected.

Food served on plastic plates. Expensive. Argued with owner that tempura is a batter not breadcrumbs, said I would change for something else which was a £1.00 more expensive and she made the young girl go get the card machine before I could reorder! Dreadful customer service and food very poor

Thought we’d have a coffee before doing our shopping. Wish we hadn’t! There was only one member of miserable staff and a growing queue, the coffee was horribly weak and tasteless, and advised there would be a long wait if we desired hot food! Won’t bother again, just awful!

Avoids at all cost this hotel is not clean so the kitchen must be as bad , go elsewhere and have decent food .

It’s just not managed very well at all. If you use it when it is quite then, it’s cheap and cheerful, but if there are more than 8 people in. They switch off the order stations to stop you ordering. A 45 minutes wait for fish finger wraps because 7 people had ordered before. Not a clue how to organize the kitchen, and generally a couldn’t care less attitude.

Everything disgraceful .Sent Lunch back for myself and my wife. It was cold.Could not get coffee ,machines not working.By the time machines working.Lunch cold again.Never coming again.

Sadly not great. Time before we came and food was OK. Although we had both ordered the same, the dishes looked unrecognisable from each other, (we were told it was the kadt portion very odd to sell the last one half the size! So very different portion sizes and 10 minutes apart, but tasted good. This time however the food was bland and dry, again came at different times, our coffees never arrived despite being told twice they were on their way. We still got charged for them! Wasn't busy, staff seemed to be milling about, but very difficult to find snuond to help. They really needcyo do something about the food and staff, especially gir the prices they are charging. Sad as it started off well.

Brilliant butty shop, friendly staff, great quality food, good prices, highly recomend a visit.

Nice venue, we love the space and the ambience (even if a bit tired), the staff were friendly and they had great beer. The only food on the menu was pizza. There are now some great pizza restaurants in Bristol but this was not one of them. In all honestly this was the worst pizza I have had in years. Dry, flavourless, like eating cardboard: I only ate the few slices I did because I was starving. Do go for the ambience and the beer but if you want to eat go elsewhere.
