I visited this establishment for a few drinks and the young person with pink hair and piercings was very abrupt and actually threw my bag of scampi fries at me, everything I asked for seemed as though I’d made their life a misery. The icing on the cake was when I asked for the nearest shop and was given directions in the exact opposite way to the actual nearest shop. The place itself was quite nice however if this member of staff is working I would avoid.

I had not eaten since 6am spending a splendid morning at Osbourne House. Truly a must and unique place to visit. Needless to say I was very hungry for my lunch at 1pm. Our host Carolyn obviously read my mind and served up a lovely portion of cod chips and peas. I noticed this special treatment was also extended to Victor Meldrew a dog seeking attention on the terrace. She duly made him also at home. Quite UNBELIEVABLE!

A family of seven came here for lunch prior to boarding the ferry back to the mainland. We were served by two very pleasant waitresses and despite it being very busy due to an England football match being on the telly we were attended to reasonably promptly. I went for the burger which was fairly tasty but sadly well overcooked as was the pizza. The nachos were plentiful and flavoursome as were the chips. All in all it did the job and at a fair price but I would probably look elsewhere if I returned to Ryde.

Visited this pub on 02/08/2020On entering there is a hand sanitation point and the floor was marked with social distancing footprints. We found a table, no one came to clean it.No one asked us for track and trace details.Bar and waiting staff rude, no face masks, no protective screen at the bar.Food being served and glasses collected by staff over the 2hrs we were there no masks, no hand sanitation.Toilets supposed to be cleaned every 30mins, last entry signature for being cleaned 2.30, it is now 18.10 and have not been cleaned. Hand dryer not working in ladies. There were "travellers" in the pub, who were clearly being discriminated against, especially by the bartender/ waitress, thin well aged appearance, with an attitude. An ethnic minority bartender/ waiter also involved in blatant discrimination of the travellers(don't their lives matter)Prices varied with the same order at each bar visit.

This place has always been dodgy - too few staff, who are often disinterested etc. However, on Saturday 22nd February 2020, my husband and I popped in for a drink. We sat at the bar, directly in front of the big TV behind the bar and watched the BT sports show (footy results show). After about 20 mins, a male barman turned the TV over to motor racing. I (very politely) asked him why and he said someone had asked for it. Therefore I challenged him to say we were watching the football show and he immediately became very confrontation and said (and I quote) 'Oh, should I check with everyone in the bar first then?!!!?' I pointed out that is the usual process, yes (plus there were about 15 people at most in the bar). He was extremely argumentative - apparently the customer is always wrong at this establishment. In a nutshell, the place is still dreadful and being manned by people who have absolutely no idea how a bar is run. I live in Ryde and I will never go back there - I advise everyone else to do likewise.

The most overpriced burgers, then found uncooked in middle. Chips?? Yes chips can be par cooked, fried and served. Not cooked (hopefully this morning ) and then hot held, using term hot is not correct for hours. These were not 65C . Several people returned food. Chips and burger price not acceptable. Cheap tortilla chips, non melted cheese and canned jalapeños are not worth over £6. It is embarrassing when someone else has purchased food for you.

We have been in here a few time because it suits our budget and has a lovely outside seating area which is great especially with the wonderful Bank Holiday weather we have had. Popped in for lunch after work , fairly busy with tourists of the older generation but served ably and efficiently by the barman on duty Rob who despite being on his own still found time to check on us and chat when we he was collecting plates and glasses. My wife went for the All day Breakfast and as the vegetarian I was tempted by the Black and Blues Burger. We didn't have to wait too long for the food .It was only when I started on my burger that I discovered that I had a Biryani Bhaji Burger. However it was so tasty I didn't feel the need to say anything to the bar staff and overlooked the error.Nothing fancy about the food here but it has consistently been of a good standard and value for money on our visits here. Like a well known fence coating it does exactly what it says on the tin. Tasty food and great service from Rob made it an enjoyable lunch by the sea.

Got some takeaway paninis here. Not many options, an extremely long wait, and the food was awful. Tuna options were edible, but the cheese panini was just cheese (no salad at all), and completely dry. Just some butter to soften it up before adding the cheese would have been an improvement. Would not recommend at all.

A few friends and I went to the Pavilion as we were in the area. As it was late morning we decided to try their breakfast which came with 1 sausage, 1 bacon, mushrooms, tomato, an egg, beans, hash browns and toast. Well when we ordered we got told that they had run out of Mushrooms s they put an extra sausage on and that was fine. Things like that happen. The food came out very quickly and we were served by what I can presume a manager or supervisor. He set everyone's food down but mine so I waited and when it still didn't arrive my other half told the supervisor he had forgotten my food and he replied "no you only ordered 3" (bare in mine there was 4 of us) So my other half stated that after paying £19 for a meal and 2 drinks he'd hope mine was there. It turned out that they had lost my ticket and they apologized and promptly brought out my food. When my food arrived it was missing a sausage but as the waiter put it down he said it was still cooking and be out shortly. When I did get round to my food I found out that they had given me 3 hash browns instead of the 2 that there was supposed to be. And even though they were cheap hash browns it was still nice to put them on. It was also nice to see that they had used proper butchers sausages as well. Although when my 2nd sausage arrived it was obvious that they had ran out of butchers sausages as I had one butchers one and one cheap frozen sausage which I was fine with. Upon trying the sausages it turned out the cheap sausage was nicer then the butchers one as the butchers one was just too herby. I was a little concerned about the egg as it was only just cooked but wasn't fussed about asking it to be cooked for longer because that's a personal preference for me. Also it was nice to see that the toast was on brown seeded bread. It would have been nice to have a choice of toast but again that's a personal preference. I definitely say the breakfast wasn't worth the £5 something I spent on it. But again its part of a brand so its as expected. The decoration however I found amazing I liked the bright blue walls and the seating and the way the bar was positioned. That definitely impressed me.

Oh God, where do I start!? We came to the Isle of Wight for a holiday this week, and went to Ryde for a late lunch on the first day. Pavilion was listed as number one place to eat on the 'visit isle of Wight' website...boy was it wrong! Me, my partner and our one and a half year old visited at about 3pm, there was barely anyone at the restaurant, one staff member was moving tables around and another was hanging about behind the bar, yet we stood by the door waiting to be greeted for a few minutes. In the end I asked one member of staff if we could sit anywhere to which she finally looked up and told us sit wherever. I went and found us some menus and a high chair and we sat at a table. My partner went to order our food and drinks at the bar. We were one of two tables inside, and there was also a table of people sat outside, yet we waited 15 minutes for 2 glasses of coke and a fruit shoot. The barman was only reminded about our drinks when I eventually went up and asked if I could at least have the fruit shoot as my son was getting restless. Unfortunately the man behind the bar was too busy rapping a long to the music that was playing - which by the way was completely inappropriate rap music for a family cafe/bar in the middle of the afternoon. We got our drinks and then 20 minutes later, the guy serving food bought another tables food out and said to us 'yours is ready, I'll just bring it out now', and then we waited another 10 mins whilst he stood at he bar chatting to some friends before he actually brought our food out. Overall, the wait for 3 drinks and 2 paninis was ridiculous considering we were one of three tables, and the staff were not particularly busy. The food itself was far from satisfactory...my cheese and red onion panini had no red onion in if and instead had a few crappy bits of onion hanging on the outside. I ate my cheese panini and then found a hair on my chips and was completely put off then. The empty table next to us had used cups and plates on the whole time we were there, which again, there isn't much excuse for when there are barely any customers and the staff were not busy. In the end I walked out and left my partner to settle up. Sorry but there was nothing about our visit that I could possibly compliment - there was bad service, bad atmosphere, bad food and long waits.

Half a hour later having still not received the food we left,we did get a refund. I have had the misfortune to eat at this so called 'cafe' twice now. Once today & once in May last year. On both occasions the service has been painfully slow even though there were only 3 customers at the time. I made an order for a bacon & egg roll & a coffee. A very simple task for most cafe's. Initially I was told that I could have a bacon & sausage roll. When I refused this the young male waiter didn't know what to do so went & got another member of staff. I repeated my order to her & was told I could have it in a baguette. I wanted a roll! The menu even states you can choose two from three items in a roll - bacon, egg & sausage. Why was my order so difficult? Eventually my order was accepted & the bill came out (before the food). We had been overcharged. The manager then came out & asked what the problem was. I told him I simply wanted the food on the menu at the price quoted!! I will not make the mistake of going there next year. I would strongly recommend you walk straight past the Pavillion bar & cafe & go somewhere that actually serves what it states on the menu, at the price that it states on the menu.

The service from this young man was absolutely fabulous from explaining the deal to ordering then checking up how we were doing and delaying out bowling time as we were still eating. The waitresses in the bar itself were also exceedingly helpful and happy. Sorting out any added requirements with ease. Being island residents on our days off from work we like to go to one of the local restaurants to support local trade. Today we decided to try the Pavilion Bar. We were very disappointed with the whole thing. We were served by a girl with a very bad attitude. Everything I would have like to have had was out of stock. In the end I had a plain baked potato that had been in the microwave oven to long. It was so dry and burnt around the edges. At least the salad was fresh. My husband had a B L T. The bread was dry and the bacon burnt to a crisp. Our table was being cleared before we had finished. It took along time for our meal to come to the table. I find this very sad as this building has a lot of history. (my mother used to go dancing here with her sisters years ago). They have done a lot of décor to improve the building. But nice wrappings around and empty box is not much good. Last but not least it is not a very good idea to leave bottles of mayonnaise out in the sun. I am sure health and safety would not be very pleased as this product should be in the fridge. In fact I have a good mind to phone them and inform them.

Imogen, California blonde hair and lightening blue eyes, provided all of us with the with the requisit amount of visual foreplay before heading out for a boozy evening at the Cowes Yachting Festival. Exhibiting a tight fitting pair of black jeans and a semi-tailored uniform blouse allowing for a generous display, she oozed feminity as she carried over our Pavillion English Breakfasts - one of which was ordered without beans but had them carelessly slapped on regardless.Thank-you, Imogen, for your nature.

Popped in for a birthday treat lunch and it was certainly a treat. Jason , great host . Attentive and welcoming. Lovely chef came out to chat (sadly didnt catch their name ) .Food beautiful, cooked just right , Hot and nicely presented not just lobbed on the plate like in some places. Great value for money. Will deffo be back.

Went on a Sunday before going to the ciniworld on the complex. Waited 40 minutes for two pizza and 2 garlic bread with cheese. Pizza turned up 1st ( stone cold ) followed by starters 10 minutes later ( stone cold ) and I had encouraged the other two members of the party to eat at pizza hut because of my experience on the mainland. Obviously this was a bad idea , I would have thought as a chain they would all be the same or similar, how wrong was I. DONT waste your money or your time in this place , you'd probably find a hotter and more nutritional meal in a McDonald's waste food bin.
