Pizza Hut in Isle of Wight

Despite all of the previous negative reviews we had a great time here. The staff were great, especially our server Alayna. She was efficient, kind and helpful. Our order was tasty, well cooked and arrived quickly. We had the fuit flavoured cider which arrived in bottles with chilled glasses, a nice touch. We would definately come again. many thanks to all of you.

I had lasagne, which I found very watery in taste and runny in texture, my granddaughters found the pizza very bland, the best parts were the salad and ice-cream, the staff were very pleasant and attentive.

Just 3 people working in the whole restaurant.. Worst service and customer satisfaction. NOT AT ALL RECOMMENDED!!!! Perry was supportive while Mollie & Leticia were very rude and unhelpful

Good food and friendly though busy service

We stopped at pizza hut before heading to the ferry home. We have been to many many pizza huts and this by far was the best veggie pizza we have had ever. The garlic taste was absolutely amazing too.

OK pizza... Dirty toilets, no loo paper and soap dispenser broken. Very little salad and half an hour wait for a pizza on a Thursday evening... Not ideal when next to a cinema & planning to watch a movie.

Really disappointed, the prices are ridiculous now, 16.99 for one pizza is absurd! Pizza was bland and cold and tasted frozen. The whole restaurant was messy, with tables not being cleaned all night after customers had left! Considering there were quite a few staff members in and we were told to order on the app this was very disappointing! We will not be coming back and felt ripped off massively! Not to mention the toilets were FILTHY, no loo roll, hair ALL over the sinks! Looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months.

When we arrived we were shown to a table and just told to order on the app before waitress left. We couldnt find how to put in table number so had to go and try to find staff member. The pizza buffet was empty for our entire visit, when any did come out (1 at a time) there were so many people waiting you couldnt get any. Due to there being no pizza or pasta the salad bar was also then emptied. I managed to get my kids 1 slice of pizza each and so.e salad scrapings. Luckily we ordered some fries so I had those with lettuce! £50 for three slices of pizza. The staff were uninterested, when we asked for pizza/pasta they just said "it will come" and couldnt seem to care less tbh. The restaurant was just half full of people all stood around the buffet area waiting for food. After an hour we gave up and left, staff didnt acknowledge us and said previously they didnt do refunds as we paid on the app!!!!! Just under £90 for a meal that was honestly just awful and we will not be visiting pizza hut again unfortunately after this expensive disappointment

Great place, clean and friendly service, food tasted great not much else to say, all in all 10/10 place, food was EXTREMELY expensive though and added up to £100 pounds

Terrible, was waiting at the door for 15 minutes to be seated only to be seated on a dirty table right next to the door, had terrible service last time we went too but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt again, that was a mistake 🙄 Walked straight back out again and doubt we will return

The place was extremely dirty, crumbs and bits of food all over the floor and on the seats, found three pieces of hair in 2 different pizzas, very unhygienic and the bowls weren’t cleaned properly

I knew upon entering the restaurant the service would be terrible, due to the lack of attention shown by the second member of staff on duty. Combined with the lack of interest shown in us, the majority of tables were uncleared and full of used food. Most of the staff were lazy and unmotivated, showing little interest in their job. My cookie dough dessert took over 20 minutes to arrive even after asking a member of staff for it. Overall my family did not have a good time - it was the worst Pizza Hut we have ever been to. We will not be returning.

This place is poorly managed staff don’t lazy and don’t acknowledge you at any point long wait for service food is poor had a pepperoni pizza that had the grease running off of it when I I picked a slice up to start eating it best avoided won’t be returning

Alex is a credit to Pizza Hut. I was on my own and she made mw very welcome. The children that came in after me enjoyed their experience as Alex was really interactive and agreed with the great choices they made on the menu.

WORST SERVICE! All the staff there were young employees, who clearly couldn't give a .... About anyone. There not even rude there just like slugs! They all seem so depressed and disconnected from their job. We noticed this as soon as we entered the restaurant. We made our order and got given our glasses for our drinks. However they were aggressive placed on our table, further adding to the dismal and un-caring atmosphere. The glasses were SO DIRTY! probably due to the staff! The pizza was very nice but honestly after that expirance I couldn't walk away Satifyed. The company needs to pull their socks up and stop cheaping out by highering cheaper staff as they are young. Also the restaurant feels cramped and unappealing. I would recommend other places much more than this.

The food is good and the buffet gives a good deal but it is often very pricey, so only really come here as a treat. The staff are lovely and the place is well kept.

okay for a cheap bite, however the food is overpriced for what it is. i have had stomach troubles twice from their chicken pizzas.

Great spot for quick lunch when other places are not open. They have free salads when you order pizza.

Went here because we'd selected a pizza resturant that was shut and needed a quick choice. You should know what you're getting with pizza hut and although it isn't the best it's pretty standard. The waitress was so miserable, our table was ignored even though it wasn't busy, and the staff were just stood at the bar having a conversation. When we came in the table next to us had dirty dishes on it and still hadn't been cleared by the time we left despite the staff not being busy. Made the mistake of ordering desert along with the main and when we finished the main it took 20 mins for them to clear our table. Had to flag the girl down at the bar and she looked so annoyed that I'd interrupted her avoiding doing her job. I'd pre tipped and the service was so bad I considered going asking for the tip back... not sure I was evil enough to do that but the service really was that bad...

We took the 4 grandchildren and we all loved it,there was something for everyone to eat

Mobile ordering for the buffet was very easy. With 3 young people (12 - 15) to feed it was quick, simple and effective, the variety of food was extensive. Our entire age group ranged from 12 to 80 and everyone enjoyed their meals from the buffet, food was hot and very tasty and staff were lovely. Had lunch for my daughter’s 12th birthday here. Definitely will come again.

You order a four topping pizza and two toppings arrive. Staff member says nothing. You then call them back and they advise you two toppings had run out. I would suggest opportunities to discuss this with the customer at time of order, prior to cooking or at point of delivery were options - why not? Staff couldn’t be less interested in customer service. ‘I suppose we could add some toppings for you’. My view - as you pay by app at the table at start of the meal they really don’t care as you’ve already paid. Restaurant was virtually empty. Tables around us not cleared Really could do better.

Nice food and helpful staff but poor weather doesn't help

Attentive & courteous, the staff were happy to deal with any requests or questions were asked, with a cheery disposition. The plates and cutlery were clean and the table wiped.

Amazing food, staff were very professional and helpful. All the food was spot on with no problems.

I didn't put a point for food because we didn't have any. Rude staff and seriously unaffordable prices for a family meal. No wonder its never busy. To be fair it's probably a 0/10 Oh and maybe pay for a cleaner incase the health inspector turns up.

Really disappointed with the service provided by the lady who served us today, been to Isle of Wight for business trip and we decided to have lunch at Pizza Hut, the lady who served us have no manners how to talk to a customer , she was too rude, we have never expected this from Pizza Hut.

My Husband and I went into the pizza hut in Newport on the Isle of Wight, I hadn't been there in years!I would just like to say we where really impressed are server was called Molly she was polite, friendly and nothing was too much trouble, she checked on us throughout our meal which was lovely. The food was great will definitely be back.i would just like to say Molly is an asset to your company.

The ordering over the phone allowed the team to work harder to the tables and attend their customers. Secondary order then came quickly and efficiently.

Hi All, Posted on 19.11.2023 I wish I would give ZERO rating. I was totally disappointed by the service rendered. We as a family went for lunch. Waited for an hour and finally went and asked about my order they said it will take 10-15 more minutes because they have takeaway orders, after few minutes again asked they said the order was misplaced and given to someone else. And asked to wait for 30 more minutes. The staff never apologized and they were harsh by words. Even they Gave the bill for Soft Drink which we didn't had . Then later they cancelled it. I'll never ever suggest this place to anyone, more ever the staff were too rude and even the shift manager. Please don't go there and waste your time and spoil your Holidays.

I came there with my friends and my family.we ordered and waited for 1hr and when we asked they have given our order to someone else.(my wife was pregnant) and asked to wait for 15 more minutes.When my friend go there for payment they told him to pay for the food which hasn't ordered.

Rubbish service, turned up and waited for a while to be served however the staff were busy chatting among themselves, waved one member of staff down but instead they served the couple next to us, ended up having to leave as we gave up trying to get the staffs attention.

Table was greasy and had left over food dried on it, seats had crumbs all over them all of this I only realised after we were seated I wanted to complain to the waitress but after 25 minutes no one had come to take our order, I had to go and ask a member of staff to bring the manager to see me, the manager was not useful in dealing with the poor service so I informed them I would raise a complaint with Pizza Hit before I walked out still hungry. I raised the complaint with Pizza Hut and there complaints manager had informed me “I could have ordered online using my mobil to save me waiting” it will be a long time before I use Pizza Hut again I’m genuinely shocked by how poor their attitude is towards their customers!

Went here for dinner before the cinema, took 10 mins to get seated in a near empty restaurant. Then waited an hour for food with only 2 other tables in the restaurant. While we were waiting, masses of pizza were being made and carried out for Deliveroo/takeaway orders. Very bad service, told to order on our phones. Had to end up taking our desserts in a box and missed half an hour of our movie due to having 5 mins to eat our mains.

I came here out of town for the day with my kids to visit Osborne Castle and felt the need to eat. I looked up the closet Pizza Hut and this came up. We arrived here at about 1 p.m. on the 27th of October. First of all the reception at the door was not great, the young lady who took our order did not have a welcoming disposition. She looked at us like we were out of place. As a woman of color, this sort of behavior is something that is all too familiar to me. She asked if we had booked a table, which we said we had not, and her manager told her, "Take them to the back of the restaurant". We went still hoping to be treated with respect, but instead were told to order from the app. It felt like they did not want to deal with us. A few minutes later she walked over and took the order from the caucasian couple in front of us not providing them with the option of using the app. When I asked if we could have been given the option of table service, she said put you were okay with using the app. If you are a traveler, I would seriously advise that you do not come here because they only serve people from a certain race. I did not know that this was Pizza Hut's new mission to exclude certain customers. This location needs some training on customer service diversity and inclusion.

We went for the lunch buffet. Unfortunately it wasn't a pleasant visit. They were very understaffed (only 3 working the whole restaurant- which is crazy for a half term) and the lady showing us to the table didn't crack a smile the whole time we were there. The buffet was empty most of the time, so it was like a mad rush when the pizzas did finally come out of the kitchen (they only opened half of the restaurant, but the half that was open was packed.) The pizzas were nice when you were lucky enough to grab a slice though... which is more than can be said for the brown lettuce on the salad counter.

Excellent buffet at a reasonable price

After work I went to make an order for take out. Only a small pizza and chips. Before I place an order I asked how long would be. He said 20 minutes wait. I placed my order and sat at the waiting area. After 30 minutes of waiting I asked about it they said it will be ready in 3 minutes. After 7 minutes they said the order was wrong and had to make a new one. So I have been waiting for almost an hour and I couldn’t even sit inside and order a drink. When I came up to the till to ask for the refund for waiting so long the food arrived and I only got an apology. Very disappointed.

Love the food at Pizza Hut. Rewarded 3 stars as very unhappy to see that they have gone cashless. Went with the intention of paying with cash & didn't have the option to do so. Probably will not be returning for ONLY this reason.

I popped in for a lunchtime takeout, I was served by the lovely 107 GemmaR, great friendly service and a nice hot Pizza with 2 Sides. An all round good experience 👍🏼. The Tellpizzahut review link wasn’t working, so I’ve put this review on Google.

I went to Pizza Hut for dinner with a friend.As always the food was lovely and service was brilliant! This lovely blonde girl kept us company and made sure we had everything to make us have a perfect time. She was very busy all the time, at first i thought she was alone on floor until i saw this girl keep popping back in and out the kitchen continuously. Didn’t think much of it. Was convinced she was a chef until she took an order next to us, she wasn’t that engaging or friendly and over all very rude and obnoxious. At one point, we’re sure we saw her kiss a chef through the small glass window. We might be wrong but we are pretty sure we aren’t. Other that our server was lovely and overall we had a good time.

Pizza Hut food is just amazing. Good view of some green, ice cream factory is always a win.

A decent enough place - friendly service (mostly) with staff picking up on cues about when and what diners might want. The pizza and salad are both pretty average, but with the very good valur prices no-one would be expecting the sun and the moon. One suggestion - the main entrance is labelled only as take-away counter. It would be good to have clearer signage. to avoid customers going to any of the other doors, which cannot be opened from the outside.

Fantastic family spot for dinner. Staff very accommodating, salad bowl is excellent, refill drinks and pizza was fantastic. Colouring sheets for kids and plenty of high chairs. Thanks Pizza Hut!

First time in a Pizza Hut. Served by a Perry who had a great demeanour and was patient with 3 young children when choosing off the menu. Efficient service and generally a nice relaxed atmosphere. Parking free at the front. Will visit again if back to IOW.

Kitchen unable to keep up with buffet resulting in incredibly thin pizzas to try and “stretch” the food. One staff member had an unfortunate deodorant malfunction and the topping on the pizza (I know…bad pun) was the hair located on the top of the garlic bread that when returned had no form of apology. Avoid at buffet time.

Service good be better, food arrived cold and not all orders arrived, the server was very rude.

Visited as a party of 3, 1 person in a large wheelchair, his girlfriend and myself his support worker. The waitress and ( I assume) manager, could not be more helpful. Service was great, so genuinely helpful. The salad bar was good... and I don't like salad! I found the pizza (margarita) disappointing... no different to any supermarket frozen pizza to be honest.

Great experience today, service was great staff always checked and asked if all was okay and we're at hand to help with ordering using the mobile order system. Food was lovely and fresh, bottomless ice cream was a hit too. Kids meal was great value for money. I would suggest a smaller dish for younger children if possible. My little boy is 3 and the monster menu was too much food for him, but it was great value for money.

We were told a 30 min wait for food but it was 42 mins and the thin base pizza was soggy.

Over half the menu wasn’t available

I was ripped off for a dusty pizza.The staff seem to know nothing in respect of customer service or how to talk to people. I myself have a long history in hospitality This involves managing restaurants and kitchens. So I know what I'm looking for when eating out and paying almost £60 for a pizza. So first they put us on a one man band table treating us like we were hobbits. Not even room for the food I had to asked to be moved due to the fact the food would have been on the floor as no table room. Asked for table service as I don't use these apps .was made to wait about 40 min before taking the order. I had to walk up and ask them to come and take the order. At this point, all 6 members of staff were standing around the front entrance talking instead of doing their jobs..made me wait another 45 minutes for a dirty glass to feel with flat pepsi From a machine covered in fly. I don't know if the flies were meant as extra protein? When the dusty looking pizza arrived only had one slice couldn't eat any more due to the fact the chef had gone trigger happy with bolsamic vinegar all over the pizza. so I couldn't eat it. I wasn't going to say anything, but it was the long brown head female managers behaviour that got me on to this review. I could have left the pizza/poor service dirty Drinks machine and paid the bill disappointed and said to myself I'll never go back. But the manager done something at the end that made me wanna do this review, and then obviously taking this to higher bodies within the company.. Because of how expensive the bill was for a pizza that had been completely ruined and then top it off, we didn't get a drink because Apparently the pizza £50 we brought, didn't come with a drink we had to pay extra for the drinks With dirty glasses. Making the bill closer £60 So once again, waiting at the table to pay the bill, so we can get out of this awful establishment, but all the staff are too busy gossiping feeling awkward as a customer I make my way once again to the counter to ask for the bill when I got to the counter? I said Can I pay the bill please? Once I had made the payment, the manager said was everything OK with your meal? I said I wasn't going to say anything in all fairness but as you've asked, I think it's a bit overly priced considering you don't do the drinks with the meal. As you normally do with every other meal?And before I got to mention anything else the manager then started arguing about different sizes drinking glasses her body language was defensive aggressive and completely abrupt. And then all members of staff standing around me looking at me like I don't deserve oxygen when I ve literally just paid their wage and responded to a question they asked I then said to the manager you shouldn't really ask me if you re gon to get offended when I politely give you the answer and the way you re talking to me With that she then started listing her qualifications to me and going on about being a manager of Pizza Hut for 15 years.. My advice to that would be look at the reviews lol.. Im not the only one who's noticed this abrupt behaviour from Pizza Hut staff... This was meant to be a birthday lunch for my daughter, 15th but was ruined by pizza hut staff. I'm not gonna be going back. Very unhygienic badly cooked over priced.. I can see why there's been no progression in fifteen years.. Everybody reminisce fifteen years ago when pizza hut was actually nice?? I think I might know the reasons why it's gone so downhill.. I think an overall change Of staff is well and truly need... Personally gonna take this a lot further then leaving this review. I will also mention That both me and my daughter feel really sick now? And I do believe we've got food poisoning As we both felt very poorly within an hour of leaving pizza hut... Ruined my daughter's 15th birthday. Just nasty behaviour and now we both feel like throwing up .. Horrible establishment and nasty staff.

I actually like their pizzas but I have been let down more than once when my delivery (ordered through Uber eats because they do not have their own delivery service) had a missing order. It comes down to “human error” element on a busy day. I have unfortunately been a recipient of this human error previously as well which is why they need to sit down and reflect on how they can do better!! This kind of spoiled our Lunch experience. Overall Good food but a bittersweet experience.

Food was nice service was unfriendly and quite frankly awful seeing as they don’t accept cash and urged people to use the app to order food to the table. The waitresses had less to do yet still under performed, waited for about 15 minutes for empty cups that we fill up food left on the side, ready to get taken the tables while the waitresses stood about, wouldn’t eat there again, if it was free

the staff can't do their job and left us waiting at a table for half an hour waiting for someone to collect out plates and deliver a brownie. whilst all the other customers were being served, even a staff member walked past and completely ignored us. 40 minutes of my time. WASTED.

Lack of interest in the customers. Salad bar wilted. Vegetarian pizza lacking in cheese. Since my last visit the quality has reduced hence downgraded to 2 stars. Car park outside and they were not taking cash. Card only. Sad really used to love coming here.

Service from Alayna was excellent. The food was good although we don't eat pizza often so it made a pleasant change. But it was Alayna's attendtion to detail which made the difference.

When we walked un we hadn't booked and didn't get the warmest of welcomes. Thankfully, once we had our table, things got better. There's a good range of pizzas and a couple of options if pizza isn't your thing. Would be great to have some more non pizza options. We ordered thorough the website, and the food came pretty quickly. It was hot and well cooked and the service was now friendly. Restaurant wasn't the cleanest but not too bad. Salad bar was tasty with a fair bit of choice. Free parking for a limited time outside.

Haven’t visited for several years Always used to love it But went today and found a poor selection of average pizzas only 3 mostly veggie to choose from at one point ham and pineapple ran out quickly and want replaced Only 2 poor quality Pasta options And a mediocre salad bar I used to love Pizza Hut but won’t be returning any time soon

So I work away for business solo and I'll occasionally pop to the cinema at the same time, this pizza hut is next to a Cineworld so was convenient. I have given this a full five stars as it delivered precisely what I expected. I was seated quickly on both occasions, and served via the app. I could see the table staff engaging with kids on other tables and trying to be as helpful as possible. Food arrived quickly and was hot. The salad bar in these places is always a bit ropey but it was adequate. I personally feel it is becoming very self service so the table staff can seem a bit redundant when not taking orders etc so to see them engaging with customers was refreshing. It is a relatively cheap and cheerful experience where you know what to expect

Rip off and awful service, payed £20 for a pizza and a drink(ridiculous prices) took 45 minutes for an empty glass to come and an extra 45 for the pizzas, the food didn’t even come out at roughly the same time and was not correct, there was about 30 minutes between my food and my fiends food arriving but there was literally only 3 other groups in the restaurant. Do not go here absolute waste of time and money.

OK I'll start by saying we love pizza hut and as there are none by us we always visit while on holiday. So I'm gutted to leave this review. Where to start.. At 8pm on a Friday I wasn't expecting it to be like a kindergarten full of kids hyped up on sugar, running around like loonatics with their hands in literally everything including a 4/5 year old who kept appearing over the partition wall trying to grab us or drop food on us. Kids were in the salads, the ice cream and drinks. It appeared parents decided they'd had enough of parenting. Ordered via the app. Waited ages for a glass to get a drink. Waited longer for someone to remove the 4 kids from the drinks machine where they were apparently "making cocktails"!! When our food arrived I was so hungry and really looking forward to eating. Unfortunately the chef had other ideas! The pizza sauce was horrendous. He'd decided to be incredibly generous with both the sauce and the herbs in it. It was like having a soup on top of a pizza. The cheese simply slid off.. It was overwhelming. The fries? I have no idea how they cook them? I suspect via grill. You either had cremated or raw. You couldn't even have salad unless you want tortilla chips smushed into your potato salad. Sweetcorn with beetroot and basically anything some 5 year old had decided made a great mix. I get it's the parents job to look after their kids but seriously? At the point where some "parent" has enjoyed the bar a bit too much and hasn't forgotten their offspring the staff needed to intervene! It was an accident waiting to happen. Although we should have been good... Judging from the amount of blue light card holders! 25% off the bill apparently means lots of people who had a blue light card were eating. Pizza hut needs to ask for ID because I can guarantee the guy sitting next to us who claimed to be a fire fighter hadn't seen his feet in forever let alone climbed a ladder. Abusing the system ruins it for thsoe genuinely entitled. Pizza hut please start asking for ID! There is a name for what this pizza hut was that night, can't say it on here but but ryhmes with it show. I'd normally rate their disability access but I feared for my safety on crutches as there was simply no room for my wheelchair. I'd talk about the disabled facilities but they were in use by 3 kids who were having fun trapping each other in there and throwing wet loo roll balls. So...... Maybe I just visited on a bad night? I try to be fair in all my reviews. And try to balance out the good and bad. So 🤷‍♀️ umm... It made my toast seem like a luxury when we got home.

Newport IOW Fantastic staff and fantastic food - the staff were really kind and attentive, every single member was friendly and helpful The food was piping hot and delicious There was everything we wanted available and meercat meals allowed 241 so really reasonable for a group of 8. Thanks!

Good food, nice atmosphere, staff seemed very busy so took a little while to clear plates after we had eaten. We had the light lunch which came with a tasty flatbread pizza, salad and unlimited soft drink.

Having dined here with a friend, we were satisfied with the entrance, until we sat down. The table behind us left and smashed a glass on the floor; the cleaner cleaned it up but left the remainder of the glass on the floor under our table. After this, the gravest mistake was made. The friend, having stayed over from the mainland didn’t fancy the pizzas and ordered a mac and cheese with coleslaw instead. The pizza I had was alright but had a hair in it, something you wouldn’t expect from this place. We ate and she said the slaw was stinging on her teeth and then went on our way. That evening was treacherous. All through the night that Mac and cheese had attacked my friends digestive system to the point that she threw up in the toilet 6 times. The traumatic sound of the puke bubbling up as she gargled remains with us forever. The Mac and cheese had temporarily disabled her. Seeing this all made me think, had I ate this Mac and cheese, I might have been killed. Avoid this place like the plague, you’ve been warned.

Totally disappointed and quite frankly outraged with how we were treated tonight at the Newport, Isle Of Wight Pizza Hut!! Sat in the restaurant for over 90mins only to be told that our pizzas were only just going in the oven!!! Yet there takeaway service seemed to be flying out the door! Your either a takeaway establishment or a restaurant?? Not both!! Fuming and won't be going back! 2 disappointed adults and 2 very disappointed children! Pizza hut sort yourselves out!!!

Pizzas were good, but it's been a while since I have eaten out so a big shock when the bill came £65 for 3 Pizza's 1 child's pasta sides and a soft drink each.

Consistently slow service and it is definitely not due to lack of staff, they are not attentive. Brownie is a piece of rock forgotten in the fridge. Pizza is below average very bland. Why do I keep coming back, need to learn how to convince my son for elsewhere.

Considering it has been “fully booked” for an hour and half I find it funny that me and my guests are one of two tables that are actually taken. This leads me to believe that the store “reserves” tables to make their lives easier. Not only are they doing the bare minimum to qualify themselves as Waiters but now ask you to order on the app!!! I may aswell make the pizza myself at this rate. Not only this but whilst waiting for my desert, they finally came over after having their long end of day chat to ask mw whether they want me to put it in the oven… so another hour to wait I guess. Do not recommend unless you have your whole evening clear and your expectations as low as possible.
