Rats are everywhere see them infesting the cafe poor management.

Can't go wrong with Morrisons cafe. The food was nice. Staff friendly. Didn't have to wait long. Our table had bits on it but had been cleared. The store and cafe are fully wheelchair accessible. Toilets including disabled just before you go in the cafe.

Friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere, it was enjoyable visiting. The cafe is small and serves hot food throughout their opening hours unlike some of the London stores which stop serving hot food at 2:30pm. There is plenty of fresh food and drink on display and available to choose from, whether you want a light bite or a fully cooked hot meal, there’s something for everyone. The service is good but can sometimes be a bit slow owing to the fact the hot drinks machines are placed right next to the till but otherwise no issues. When you order the staff will give you a table number and happily bring your order to you, with outside courtyard seating available too (no smoking)! The food I ordered was hot and fresh and condiments and cutlery are all neatly displayed and available. I would recommend it to friends and family and there are always some good special offers available in store too. The hot drinks are good too at this location plus they offer free unlimited refills on all tea and hot drinks, the toilets are conveniently located next to the cafe too for customers to use.

Every table was full of plates and not cleared away.we ordered what the lady said they had left.we cleaned our own table.food was great

Went in for a breakfast with the family. Took a little while to bring it to us, but it was well made.

We popped in early on a Saturday morning in December. At 08.05 I went to the self serve hot beverage machine which didn’t work and the person serving shouted it’s because your too early! Er you open at 08.00 ! After the said person had filled the machine with milk I then ordered 2 full English Breakfast’s one of which I asked for no tomatoes (I’m allergic to the pips) I was told in no uncertain terms that I had too have it as no swaps and I was paying for it so tough leave it on your plate! . Ok . I thought great customer service here ! Anyway the breakfast arrived it was edible. However I was extremely disappointed to see the same person drinking coffee at the till and in the food service area. I’ve worked in the hospitality sector for over 20 years in management and have never allowed myself or anyone else to one be so rude and disrespectful and this person obviously has no hygiene training whatsoever.

without doubt the WORST all day breakfast I have EVER encountered. And I've eaten in some right holes. Bacon was barely cooked, cheapo beans were hard/cold, fried bread was swimming in grease, and the sausages smelled sooooo bad I feel sick just thinking about them. To top it off, Catherine Tate's "Gran" character served/threw the plates down and had a really runny nose. Sick.

Store itself is fine. Needed to visit the ladies Toilets. Only 2 out of 3 usable. One out of order. Only 1 tap working & no soap! Come on, Morrisons. Sort it out, please.

Dirty floor and tables. Ordered Vegetarian Sausages and Mash with peas and gravy. Gravy was thick and difficult to pour, vegetarian sausages overcooked and tiny (not the same size as normal quorn sausages you can buy) . The only decent thing were the peas. Staff were moaning about having to hand wash as the dishwasher was broken and that they were understaffed. Will not be visiting again.

Don't bother with the self service check out, go straight to the till, order from the staff,the guy we spoke to was quick.and efficient and friendly, we had breakfast which was large and tasty. Would definitely go back.

Don't expect a warm welcome from this inconvenience supermarket if you are a pedestrian. Even if the door is open at the town end of the supermarket, the store obviously favours car drivers. Almost no tills are open, and the exits are blocked off near closing time, since I guess, the staff are as p*¥₩d off as the customers. A very, very poor experience. M & S is just across the car park. Go there. More money but quality on stlilts......even a smile.

Beautifully cooked full English breakfast. Fantastic staff, friendly and helpful. Chef was even singing. I had the chance to go "anywhere" for breakfast because it was my birthday. I chose Morrisons because I had eaten breakfast there a week before and it was delicious. Keep up the good work.

As out of season not too many options,so a breakfast here was a reasonable price. Lots of parking and a bright cafe lots of seating. Fairly quiet mid week. Order was taken at the till by a staff member shouting “ table number”,unfriendly and loud. Order placed table number provided. No information on teas / coffee which was included in our price. No fresh milk available at 9 a.m. About 15mins later food was served,this time by a different and friendly older staff member. This is when it went downhill. As some items were missing,and some were cold. Eg The bacon was poor quality,fatty,under cooked and inedible. The fried egg was split. The tomatoes cold. A sausage was missing,etc,etc. It wasn’t busy,in fact there were only a handful of tables occupied. Nobody could be bothered to get fresh milk, and most of the cafe staff were seen to be standing about chatting and just stared at anyone who dared to ask for anything. “Milk erm No! ….. This issue should have been resolved prior to the cafe opening. Won’t be rushing back,if there were more options the island could be a great place to visit,but out of season it’s very quiet.

The place is grubby needs a good clean tiny little folks a kid would use coffee machine broke n really fifty at least clean it and only one member of staff on serving and clearing food was cold bacon undercooked and loads of flys landing on my food pure disappointment

Worth a visit for a quick bite to eat & shop. Always well set out with tempting selections in the fresh section.

They have good cakes and all that but they dont have straws for a slush puppie how can you eat a slushy with no straw

100% amazing service wish they could come and train some of our local ones how to treat customers. Food was amazing.

I had lovely chips there but a fly I named him Timmy decided it would be funny to touch my chips and I got really upset and ate it anyway because I can’t waste a good chip. And Timmy probably went home to take other people’s chips! Be careful!

Not happy missing dinner @morrisons today. Drove for 20 minutes to get to Newport morrisons to get dinner which said it was open until 6pm on their website, we got into the restaurant dead on 5.30 to be told they have stopped serving at 5.30 so they can clean up and close for 6pm. We've never had this before, we've even turned up at 5.45 once and they served us without a problem? Not sure if this is a new thing or not but maybe some advertising on last time to arrive would have helped and we could have gone somewhere else instead we had to drive another 25 minutes home and then cook our own dinner😠

We had a really disappointing experience here today, as sadly, even after 40 minutes of ordering a normal and veggie breakfast there was no sign of it. Whilst we were there people who came after us received their food and left! When we went to get a refund the employee had the cheek to charge us for the tea! Only when we pointed out that really they should give us a full refund they did so. Then the cook asked if we were there by the till for a refund, because the food is ready! Too little too late. The place was filthy, trays are dirty with tea stains and food debris, tables uncleared and uncleaned. Please do not waste your time there unless you don't mind doing so.

Extremely slow service, cold coffee, dirty cutlery, customers walking out, 45 min wait for a jacket potato, not even started to cook it when we asked how long! Time to get money back and go home!

Called by for Breakfast as I was in the store, and in all honesty at best it was adequate, but not to be recommended as it was severely overcooked, and of poor/basic quality. However as it also was fairly clean and tidy in there, service nice enough, it wasn't poisonous, and certainly was ridiculously cheap for what it was, I have to give them an average.

It's Morries but nice fish & meat counters + fuel stop. we asked for a large tiger loaf to be split into 2 bags to freeze one & didn't realise until wegot back to site that we were charged for 2 loaves.....

Waited in a three person que for 25 mins. Whilst the lady behind the counter had a nice long chat with a person she knew about the dog and how's the garden and is Bob feeling better and how fed up she is working here.......... . Service was painfully slow we waited 40 mins for a sandwich to come out. . My wife had a salmon sandwich which was full of grissle. They then forgot my daughters food. Burger was poor. I asked for a napkin and I was told only one per customer and I had to wait until our food came out. Very poor experience will not be going again. Much better experience with morrisons in lake.

Modern, airy and spacious with everything one needs for their shopping requirements. I bought some superb tortoiseshell sunglasses for £3 whilst I was there, plus some alcohol based gifts for a friend who was visiting us.

Nice food staff sometimes rude but very busy

Came here for lunch on holiday. Ordered food & drink at self service terminal, paid. No signs saying you had to collect your drinks, so we thought it was table service. When I asked a staff member she then told me we had to DIY. Only to then find half the items we'd ordered weren't available. Staff very off hand behind counter- certainly need retraining in customer service, also more seriously, someone should show Colleen how to correctly wear a dace mask. NOSE & MOUTH BOTH SHOULD BE COVERED.Waiting for food so cannot comment on that.

The staff are even older and rude I think the man who works there is the best he has to struggle with the old ladies Think his name is Rob. Lovely man he doesn't look that well he seems to cope with it. The new menu is a joke though. I won't be ever eating in this rotten place again plenty of other cafes to eat in town and takeaways.

really helpful staff on Click & collect at Morrisons Working in the rain , happy & smiling and could not do enough to sort out a problem - of our making i hasten to add!! Excellent ambassadors for the company.

I came for lunch which was awful the place didn't have what I want again. A old lady on the cooking was very rude telling me to go somewhere else. She had blond hair and really ratty . I don't recommend this place it's too small and too busy.

Not the best breakfast ive ever eaten. Food was just ok. The fried egg was well overcooked and no care taken on presentation. This may be a great place to get a cheap breakfast but am sure there's better in the local area

Menu is limited as expected during the pandemic however what is and is not available could have been made more obvious to avoid the confusion at the till. Didn't expect a simple no beans thank you to be so confusing to the team working but turns out removing an item from the brunch was a bit to much for them. Food over all however tasted lovely

Choice of breakfasts, the basic one is plenty adequate and you can add to it if required (e.g. black pudding).

Excellent value for money. We tried the Afternoon Tea for 2. Very delicious - ONLY let down was the presentation.

My youngest son is a vegan and the one vegan dish was unavailable. There was no alternative for him. The coffee was luke warm. The food took 30 minutes to arrive so our drinks were stone cold when it came. My eldest son's food did not arrive at all because they didn't see it on the receipt!! We had to ask for it and by the time it came the rest of us had finished. A bad experience all round.

I find the cafe has become too busy now for the number of staff. They are doing their best but standards go down because of this.

We had breakfast and it came out quickly and was nicely cooked. The staff were helpful and wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

The food and service was horrendous I had to wait over 2 hours for my food and when I eventually got it it was stone cold they. Forgot about my chocolate cake it’s ridiculous something needs to be done about it

Usually ok but today wasn't even worth the 1star rating.!!! Went today at lunch time and ordered 2 meals one being vegetarian. Waited 20 mins and when our meals turned up both were meat versions. Was told they had ran out of meat free sausages so they replaced them with meat ones .Refused both meals ,got refund and went elsewhere to eat

Used this store several times during self catering holiday. The staff very helpful, one man heard me say to my grandson there’s no rolls for the burgers, I was going to cook and straight away he said I will look and went off returning with packs of rolls. I was impressed as I wasn’t going to ask as thought they had sold out. One check out lady in particular was also very pleasant and helpful. Not really used to this at my local supermarket

Myself ,the wife and kids all has the fried breakfast ,I’m not gonna lie ,it was alright ,far better than I expected and I would return

The cafe looks very lovely with the fresher lick of paint. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Even when it's super busy, they are always happy to help. The cafe can run out of items quite quickly and on Saturdays it can take a while for tables to be cleaned due to being busy. Good prices for the items. They let you know if there will be a wait for food and generally they are good at getting the food to you as quickly as possible.

Not very impressed, we had full English breakfast, which was over cooked, we understand they were busy because of holiday makers, so we may try again when they are not so busy,!!

Good value food very well cooked

Tried to use the new automated ordering system to avoid long queue only to find par5 of what we wanted was not on the system so had to join the queue anyway and even though we mentioned the auto part of the order the two parts arrived at different times

Ordered one eggs Benedict and one fried eggs on toast with bacon and hollandaise sauce. Eggs were over cooked, toast and bacon was cold and the sauce looked like thickened mucus 😑

Much of the meals were sold out, only a small selection of soft drinks, finished trays piled on tables (seemed short-staffed, as girl Manning checkout was also trying unsuccessfully to clear tables).

really nice vegan lasagne, very cheap, polite staff. Popped in with wife after doing the shopping as we saw they had new vegan items on menu.

Excellent meal deal with drink for a family of four with a non chargeable child. Two lots of smashing lamb shank in herb gravy with plent of mash and a lasagne and side salad with ice cream sundays all round for pudding. Clean and pleasant service, didn't wait more than about 10 minutes for food. Just as good as when we visited four years ago. You really can't beat this place for a cheap meal in a quiet and civilised store cafe. I read some other moans and can honestly say I have no idea what they were moaning about. Food was hot, reasonable quality and tasty and all four of us ate for less than £20 with drinks and pudding.

Nice to have breakfast out for a change before shopping.

Better and too good with new menu

Since November when we last visited it's been a complete turn around. Food was fast and delicious, well presented, and hot. The portions were larger than expected, not that anyone was complaining, and the staff were polite and friendly.

Food was cooked well, and was presented nicely enough on the platel but slightly on the chilled side?

If you want some fast food and a nice place to sit while in Newport then this is the place to come. You can just go across the road to see a great church and close by there are some street markets

As good as any Morris ons up and down the country, it does what it says on the tin!

After driving around the island trying to find somewhere for breakfast being a Monday and most places were shut for breakfast in April! We stopped at Morrison’s. We had full English’s which was okay! But I would say that the staff were really lovely very helpful and happy which is always half of the battle

Had lunch in the cafe today.The girl who served me was lovely,kind,friendly and not rushed.When my meal arrived 20 mins later,there was so much food I couldn't eat it all. Your staff are a credit to you.There names were Louise and Linda. Thankyou both.

Lovely cafe where I visited whilst on holiday, I had the fish and chips with garden peas plus a mocha to drink, my meal was cooked to perfection and because I had a lengthy wait for it to be cooked, when the meal arrived, I was offered a complimentary drink by a really nice member of staff who also served me, outstanding value and I look forward to returning sometime in the near future.

Popped in for a breakfast after getting off the boat. Was told there would be a 30 min wait for food despite it not actually being that busy. In any case it’s good to be told at point of ordering and not after, table found to be sticky and cutlery not overly clean but rectified quickly by staff who apologised. Staff friendly / helpful and food arrived in the time frame given.

Had breakfast today here with my brother, daughter and 3 grandchildren, good value for money, but mushrooms were cold and as I started eating the hash browns they were freezing cold in the middle very disappointing!

This store is spacious and usual morrison layout, staff at tills are friendly, those elsewhere not always friendly or considerat when transporting large trolleys of stock

Visited the cafe and found it to be very good. The ladies behind the counter were very friendly and service was good and quick.

Dropped in today for shopping and a full English! Very tasty breakfast, probably one of the best I have had in a while! Good value and quick service too.

This has got to be the best morrisons cafe I have visited! Lovely hot food that was cooked to perfection. We have been disappointed in morrisons cafes before with dried up spag bol and burnt sausages after long waits for the food to arrive in the first place however we really could not complain, the service was quick and the food was great.
