Lovely cafe to have a lovely cooked breakfast. Plenty to choose from. Vegan & vegetarian options. Steps into the cafe so no good for wheelchairs, I spotted a small dog at the table next to us so I assume they are dog friendly. Shared toilets & a disabled one.

Love this place!!! Use to be a regular when I lived in the area as the food and service are always top notch and returned after 4 years and it certainly didn’t disappoint. All the food was great with high quality ingredients and the staff were helpful and polite. Will always add a visit to Oken tearooms when I am in the area. Oh and the scones were divine.

Really fun activity, a few different games to try which made it competitive. Our group loved it and all the staff were friendly. Great music and atmosphere. £15 each seemed quite steep for a game but we felt we had enough time and weren’t rushed.

My wife and I treated ourselves to a dinner and night at Wentbridge House for our wedding anniversary, having discovered it at New Year's Eve. And the occasion really lived up to, and surpassed, our expectations. The welcome was warm and friendly and the additional gesture was really appreciated. (No detail here to avoid lumbering the hotel with others' expectations!) Our room was large, quiet and well-appointed with a very comfortable bed. Dinner offered an interesting menu and our meal was delicious, with excellent service throughout. The quality of food continued with a super breakfast from an extensive menu. In summary, Wentbridge House gave us a memorable anniversary and it certainly won't be our last visit. True, you couldn't consider the hotel as a budget offering but the overall experience was worth every penny. After all, the memory of quality endures long after the cost is forgotten...

I’ve been a few times now and love the food every single time! The decor/aesthetic is lovely, the menu choices are vast and there’s always a good amount of diners without it being too overcrowded. The last time I went they had opened up the outside area for Al fresco dining in good weather - nice touch. Food-wise, I’m yet to get past the Guvec. It’s soooo good! I had the Prawn Guvec the first two times I visited and branched out to the Lamb Guvec for my 3rd visit. With bulgar wheat every time. My other half has had the meat grill and my Dad’s had the prawn and salmon shish - and they’ve loved it all. Good portion sizes too. Maybe one day I will try something else other than the Guvec!

Friend and I went to Chequers for lunch. We’ve been a few times . He tells me on tap beer is good. The Sausage (locally sourced) and mash was well priced and was of a very good quality. Tasty . Very nice surroundings and very nice atmosphere. Recommend. Although not too much as it might get too busy. Plenty of parking.

Wonderful food, lovely people. A warm and welcoming place for a great night out.
