The Med Kitchen in Croydon

My first trip to The Med Kitchen and it did not disappoint. Beautiful food, enormous portions. Attentive and friendly staff. Well catered for special dietary requirements. Lovely atmosphere, we will definitely be back.

Absolutely wonderful meal! Brought a large group for my Dad’s 60th, staff were super attentive and friendly, the atmosphere was lovely - nice and busy, especially for New Years Day. The portions were huge and everything we tried was delicious :) Thanks team for surprising my dad with a birthday dessert too!! Will definitely be back, brilliant options for gluten free and vegetarian requirements!

We loved the outlook of the restaurant , ratings, interior and the food but felt that the lamb was bit off but delicious anyway so ate it. Everything was 8/10 but as soon as we left the restaurant we both got ill ( vomit / Diarrhoea ) and still recovering 3 days after . So don't be going there again . Such a shame

Great quality food and portion size. The hummus, baba ghanoush for starter with bread was tasty. The adana with yogurt was extremely tender lamb and flavoursome. The bulgar was really good too. Definitely recommend this place.

Had the two-course lunch a a glass of Turkish wine. The food was delicious. They were very busy, always a good sign. Would definitely go back again.

We visited for my father's 92nd birthday. The food was delicious, the service prompt and friendly. Our only slight problem was that as three older people with hearing problems the volume was quite overpowering. Altogether though I would highly recommend this restaurant.

My friends and I recently went to this restaurant having booked for 6.30pm on a Saturday. It turns out that the restaurant has two sittings. As we had booked for the first sitting , we had to vacate the restaurant by 8pm. This gives us only 90 mins. Unfortunately we all felt rushed with our meal. The waiters kept hovering around our table at every stage. When we got our starters served, we felt that the waiters were keeping an eye on our table as to when they can take the plates away for the main course. Same happened with the main course. We felt under pressure to finish the meal and go. Not a good feeling. At 8pm there were plenty tables empty so it does not feel that they were busy. I hope that whoever decides to visit this restaurant does not book for the early sitting.

The four of us had a selection of main meals, all great with well presented sides. Our two friends come here often and sometimes get takeaways. The staff were very attentive. We went to an early eve sitting and although the place had plenty of tables full, you could hear yourself speak and chat nicely.

Had a lunch visit at The Medicine Kitchen today—service was stellar and lightning quick. The food? Perfectly cooked, juicy, and tender. Couldn’t have asked for a better meal! If you’re in the area, it’s a must-try spot.

Lovely restaurant with huge portions that you can take home if you can't eat it all but waiters could do with using some Deodorant:-) so sorry but it's true

I am disabled in an electric wheelchair and this was my first time at this restaurant. It was easy to get into the restaurant and there was plenty of room at and around the table. Sometimes I feel as if I am in the way but not here. The food was excellent, service was great and the portion sizes were amazing. Thank you, we will be back!

Have visited enough times to know it is reliably extremely good, takeaway included. Great atmosphere inside, perfect for almost any social occasion be it a dinner for two or a catch up with friends. The staff are attentive and present and the food is sublime.

Always love this place. The food is brilliant, portions are large and the staff are kind. My wife and I got a starter and main each and cost us £60. It's become one of our regular places to eat. Being able to book the table online is useful too.

The choice of food was extensive and delicious. The staff were attentive and so accommodating. The waiter engaged and chatted with my 4 year old grandson which I thought was nice. The decor was welcoming and cozy. The bathroom facilities were spotless. Definitely go to the Med Kitchen if you are in the area.

We've recently moved into the area and are totally in love with this place. Staff are great and it's right in the village so easy to get to, food is super yummy.

The food was outstanding , the staff were friendly , the ambience was a sight to behold , kudos to Jay, Ali and Lena. The food was so good that my husband finished his food this time . I had Adana kebab while my hubby had burger wheat with salmon. And the cocktail Pina colada was just perfect. We plan going again and again. No regrets .

We visited for our 10 year wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time. The food was incredible and the service was excellent. Cannot recommend enough.

absolutely brilliant ! from starters to desserts we enjoyed having dinner here. the ambience is really pleasant, especially since the interior is immaculately gorgeous🤩 the menu also has many many choices, therefore i struggled to pick just one haha!! however the salmon i ordered is so delicious, i would recommend it to anyone. and i must mention the staff as they are highly attentive & caring, constantly offering great service - thank you very much for making our visit highly enjoyable x

We visited The Med Kitchen last night with our family to celebrate our eldest daughters birthday. We are currently visiting from Australia & the restaurant was highly recommended to us. Straight away the restaurant was inviting. We were welcomed by the staff like we were old friends. We had a variety of starters (bread, hummus, garlic Mushrooms & haloumi) which were all delicious (& very moreish!). We chose different mains so that we could try a few dishes because it was hard to choose what to order. The servings were generous so sharing was easy. The kids menu not only covered the usual nugget & chips, but also turkish options just in a smaller serving size. Perfect for kids that enjoy trying new foods. Towards the end of our night the restaurant erupted into singing Happy Birthday to our daughter - with Jay bringing out an amazing dessert especially for her complete with candles. We had hoped for a nice birthday dinner & The Med Kitchen went so far beyond our expectations. Incredible food, amazing customer service. We will definitely be back to the restaurant (hopefully on this trip! But definitely next time we travel over).

First visit and very impressed by warm welcome, nice decor and pleasant ambience. Service efficient and friendly, nice food - both meat and fish cooked well - and a choice of chips aswell as rice! Efes 50cl always enjoyable. Went Saturday night, and seemed to be two sittings, 6pm (totally full) and 8.15pm, so no chance of a long stay over coffee ! Highly recommended.

Lovely as always, host extended our table booking and waiting staff were very attentive.

Visited last night for our anniversary meal. Jay and the team provided excellent service. The food was great, exactly as explained in the menu. It can get a bit noisy but that adds to the atmosphere in my opinion. Will be back, this is my new favourite restaurant.

Really enjoyed our visit here! The staff are very welcoming and friendly, kept checking in on us throughout our meal which was really lovely. The food and cocktails were delicious and reasonably priced, I recommend the King Prawn Garlic Butter to anyone who likes prawns, absolute delicious and I found myself ordering it again the next day (for takeaway though, because I was a bit embarassed lol). The cocktails were so tasty, we ended up spending around £35 per person for starters, mains and cocktails so really reasonable! Definitely recommend!

Went there to have lunch and to sit outside (was a nice afternoon) but they wouldn't seat me outside because I would have been too near someone seated inside near the window. Why bother with the outside seating area!?

We love Med Kitchen! The food is delicious, the portions are huge, the staff are attentive and friendly. Nothing is too much for them. The restaurant itself has a lovely ambience. They made an effort for my birthday too with a candle, etc.

This is my favourite restaurant. The food is out of this World, no matter what you order. The menu is full of delicious, fresh, healthy choices. The waiters greet you like a long lost friend and you are made to feel very welcome. Even the free olives are delicious!!

Atmosphere really depends on the time of day. I have tried three different times just to see if the food would come out at the same high standards. Service has been 10/10 so far. Talking from someone who extremely fussy and a fully qualified chef. Clean, very friendly and on point!! (Ali ) and the rest of the MED staff have managed to look after myself, friends and family this week celebrating birthdays. Food cooked to perfection . There was no need to add extra seasoning due to the different flavours….thank you @MED

The most relaxed meal I've had! Didn't feel rushed (quiet Monday lunctime) and it was really pleasant; Staff were also relaxed and friendly. Lentil soup was delicious!

WOW WOW WOW These guys know there way around flavours, everything i ordered tickled my stomach in a very pleasant way, I ordered sword fish with chips and salad which was amazing 👏 my friend ordered the chicken which was wry succulent, the olive 🫒 were the best ever, mushrooms were the best ever, customer service was very good. This restaurant is consistently outstanding in the execution of its food and I know that if I want a good meal, then coming here will always ensure this. I recently came here with my friend and tried their new garlic butter prawn dish which was beautiful - my new favourite. My friend always enjoys her food here and loved her prawn and salmon kebab skewers. The portions are ample here - so much so that I’ve yet to try their desserts….hopefully one day.. I also noticed that they’ve added a few new dishes to their menu and it made a nice change. I will definitely come back.

A lovely meal at The Med Kitchen - really friendly and kind family who made us feel very welcome 🥰 The restaurant is elegantly and festively decorated at the moment and there were a lot of families dining, great atmosphere. The menu is varied and lots of starters, chargrilled dishes and specials. For starters we had: the Whitebait (deliciously fried) and the baked Aubergine with veg, so soft and tasty. For mains, 🍲 the Chicken Guvec (Turkish casserole) was divine! The chicken was so tender, very gooey too - served with Bulgur wheat as our chosen side. We also loved the Mixed Kofte (minced lamb / minced chicken skewers) 🍢, generous portions and with chunky chips. The food is of excellent quality and very fresh, very flavoursome. Great value for money and overall, a great choice to come with family and friends!

We went for a birthday meal for our 10 year old son. I had referenced this reason for the visit when I booked online. After the main course they brought out some chocolate cake (having asked us discreetly about allergies shortly before) with a candle as a surprise while everyone sang happy birthday, The food was absolutely delicious, the ambience lovely and the service outstanding. This place is a “must visit” if you are in the area.

What a wonderful spot! Family run and it shows, we visited with our 2 daughters aged 3 and 1, we were welcomed as soon as we came through the door, high chairs available, a great kids menu too. The food and drink is so so good, couldn’t recommend more! X
